Took my 2000 Honda Civic ex manual for hunting idle, bucking and jerking while driving. Drop the car off at 7:30 in the morning then I get a call around noon that day stating by the lady our mechanic took it for a run and Im sorry honey but this is just way out of our league, we dont work on problems like that. Then proceed to tell me I need to come get my civic because theyre closing for the day and wont be back. I told I can be there in an hour ask her to lock the car up and place the keys inside... Instead she placed them in a white envelope in an old electric box and my car was unlocked so anyone could have drove off with it!It was very disrespectful.Theyre not Honda specialist.The office was trashed inside should took that as a hint.I didnt get charged but it was a waste of my time.Especially since I called ahead to ask if they fix Hondas for the specific problem.I give it 0 stars if I could.

Our 2012 Odyssey was a little overdue for it’s 120 thousand mile tuneup. It used to dog out at 35 to 40 mph and now it is smooth as silk. It’s like a whole new van can’t thank you enough!

We brought our car in for brake service and was quoted one price but when we were finished, they charged us double the cost. We would not have brought our vehicle in for the actual price paid. We typically like to do business with small and family owned businesses but not when they are unethical. Lesson learned and hope others dont make same mistake we do. We got a quote over the phone AND verified the quote when we dropped off the vehicle. When we picked it up, it was doubled the quote. Its very unfortunate they have lost our business and our referrals to other friends and family.

We brought our Honda in because it wasnt idling correctly. $1000.00 later we picked up our car and it still wasnt idling right. Took it back and was told that it was fixed and it still has the same problem. We were referred by a very close friend, BUT WE WILL NEVER TAKE OUR CAR HERE AGAIN! WTF! :(

Family owned family operated. I could sit here and ramble on all day about this place but i wont. Their technicians are amazing well trained and honest. There wonderful front desk lady is sweet and is very easy to get along with. There prices are affordable and they wont sell you anything your car doesnt need !

When I had my 1989 Honda 3 door hatchback, it need tlc. They were great, they know a lot about Hondas since they specialize in the Honda. Price were very reasonable and lower than anyone else. I trust them with any small car whether domestic or foreign.

Went to speak to them about bringing in a car I was interested in buying. The lady there was EXTREMELY helpful in answering all of my questions, giving me instant costs on repairs, and advice on what to stay away from. If I ever get around to buying a Honda, I will definitely try them out for mechanical work!

We took my sons 2001 Accord there to get the timing belt, water pump, and all the seals replaced. They finished the work in very short time, and a very reasonable price. I recommend them for any Honda work.

I had been going to The Import Shop, as it was very close to my work and they had great reviews. Their pricing on brakes was much better than the dealer! For about a year, there was no issue with any of their work. Recently, my radiator needed to be replaced, and I couldnt drive to The Import Shop. I took my car to a shop closer to home, and they told me that MY OIL HADNT BEEN DRAINED ON MY LAST OIL CHANGE!!! There was twice a much as should be in there, and my last oil change was at The Import Shop (along with new spark plugs).Id think emptying the oil is one of the most basic things to do when getting an oil change. If they cant do that properly, I do not feel comfortable with them working on my car any more. Very unprofessional.

This is the most honest and helpful shop in the Kansas City area. They only do Honda/Acura so theyre very good at it, probably better than the dealer. Their prices are always fair and they will be honest about whats wrong or not wrong with your car and wont sell you something you dont need. I am now a lifelong customer here and will never take my car anywhere else.

Weve been taking my wifes Honda to this shop for the last 10 years. They are very honest and the price is very reasonable. They fix what needs to be fixed and they wont pressure you to change some drive belt or replace the brake fluids just to make extra money, which seems to be what every other shop is doing. I find honesty so rare among mechanics. I also own a Toyota, but unfortunately they only work on Hondas.

This is the only place I would take my Honda for service. Knowledgeable and very friendly!

Harriet is the best. Weve taken our four Hondas to the Import Shop for 20 years and have always been pleased. The diagnosis is spot on and the repair options are kept to a reasonable price. They are also flexible on the drop off and pick up after hours if we pay by credit card. Weve always been pleased and will keep taking our Hondas there.

I will not be doing an business with The Import Shop after the phone call I just had with them. The woman that answered the phone was completely RUDE! I called and simply said. Hi, I am calling about your services on timing belts. Her response -- ya, what about them.. in a rude tone. The rudeness continued for the whole call. Ummm hello! You need to learn some customer service!

You would be dumb to pay the dealership a bunch of money when you can get so much more from a local family business for a great price. Make sure and give it a try...you wont be dissatisfied.

Did not replace more than the parts required on a 10 year old and 160,000 mile Honda. The reputation is deserved, they are not in business for the quick buck, ethics are everything!
