Just got my first oil change here. The front desk was very friendly and willing to explain any questions I had. The next service sticker also matched my owners manual recommended mileage interval, instead of the bogus 3000 mile interval that some mechanics recommend. Thats the mark of an honest business. I’ve been taking my vehicles to JOCO Auto for 7 years and they’ve not disappointed yet. Stevie and Ernie are top notch and will do anything to assist you and answer your questions. They are honest and will be upfront with you when it comes to what is needed. If finances are an issue they will help you prioritize what is essential at that moment and what can be deferred if need be. On top of that, last summer when we had some car issues out of state we called them and described the issue while FaceTiming. They helped us identify the issue while FaceTiming (obviously we got a bit lucky in locating the issue this way). They then located a shop for us nearby where they knew the owners and helped get us on the schedule ASAP. You don’t find customer service like this at just any place. They also send Christmas cards!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I made an appointment online for an oil change, tire rotation and an inspection of my brake pads. When I arrived at 8:00 am on my appointment date, the owner didnt have my information in his computer system so I had to repeat the service items I had requested online. My vehicle was already in their system and they had previously already tried to upsell me on thousands of dollars of repairs for my 2002 Ford F-150 that has nearly 200K miles despite the fact that I told them I was not interested in spending that kind of money on a truck that I use as a second vehicle for chores and the trucks value was less than what they were quoting me in service items. I received a call a few hours later from Stevie who once again read me a long list of service items that they recommended that totaled over $2,000. I repeated that all I wanted (and authorized) was an oil change, tire rotation and an inspection of my brake pads. Stevie then told me that they discovered my (R) brake line was damaged and was leaking so much it was inoperable to drive. I reminded her that I didnt have any issues with my brakes before I brought it to their shop and there was not a drop of brake fluid on my garage floor where my truck sits for weeks at a time without being driven. She then said maybe it was damaged when they put it on the lift. The repair price she quoted was over $300 in taxes and again said that the brake pedal would hit the floor if it wasnt repaired. I reluctantly authorized the repair and requested that they retain my replaced part so I could inspect it. I was then told that they it would be the next day before my truck was done (despite having booked an appointment online and dropping my truck off as soon as they opened at 8:00 a.m.) When I picked up my vehicle the following day (again, I took it in for an oil change, tire rotation and brake pad inspection - something I could have had done in less than 30 minutes at any drive up oil change business) they showed me what appeared to be a nearly new brake line (shiny black paint and no dirt or signs of wear and tear - despite the fact that I had not had my brake lines repaired within years) with a leak at one of the bends. They denied that anything they did caused the damage. He (I believe the owner - who wasnt wearing a mask or any other face covering) said thats why we saved it so we could show you. What he didnt say was that Kansas state law requires auto repair shops to retain replaced parts for the customers inspection. I reminded them that I brought my truck in without any brake problems and was then told my brake line was so damaged that my truck would not be safe to drive. What was I supposed to do as a customer? I felt I was being lied to and my vehicle was either damaged by their employees or the entire brake line problem was made up and my vehicle was being held hostage unless I paid their exorbitant repair charge. Needless to say, I will never take another vehicle to this business and I strongly recommend anyone reading this review to take your business elsewhere. This business is not to be trusted.

Nice building and friendly staff. The prices are dealership pricing!!! Paying for there overhead and amenities. They charge $15.00 a day if you dont pickup your car the day its ready. Way over priced!!! No thanks.

Absolutely superb experience. We’ve taken multiple cars here, both modern and classic and had great work done at a fair price. It’s great. But what makes me say “excellent” is the customer service. 100.00 dollars to do a crankshaft relearn holy labor rate thats more expensive than the dealer only takes 45 secs guess they didnt need my busniess btw im fully away of the cost of the diagnostic scanner been in the biz all my life 100 bucks for less than 2 min is insane left your place drive to Shawnee Mission Parkway and had it done for $45 and all I said when I left was $100 is ridiculous I am entitled to my opinion as you are and dont worry I will never be back good luck

Weve been taking our vehicles to JoCo Auto for years and will continue to do so as long as we can! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, on top of being trustworthy which is HUGE. I know they are only selling me on services that are needed and are being genuine. From oil changes to bigger repairs, we trust things will get done properly. And bonus - They have a massage chair in the waiting room which I look forward to sitting in every time lol.

I brought my 2008 Toyota Tocoma in there today to replace a blowed out tire. I just bought 4 new ones not long ago from these folks and the put a brand new replacement on for only the mounting and balancing fee! I love these folks and Thanks to Stevie and Allen they fixed me right up! If you need nearly anything auto done go to these folks where they treat you like family and do excellent work!

If youre wondering who you can trust to repair your car or truck properly, I can tell you that Jo Co Auto brought the air conditioning system on my ten year old GMC pickup back to life. They repaired leaks in the system and properly recharged it for less than a third of the price I was expecting to pay for this service. Ive got some other maintenance issues that I need to have taken care of and I will definitely be taking it back to Jo Co Auto. These people are friendly and professional.

Took both of my cars in on 2 separate days, had the oil changed in both, and both got full diagnostic panels done to make sure they were both in working (and not going to blow up on me) order. Bryan was extremely nice and helpful - explained to me exactly what the team did to my cars and what was recommended but not exactly required. I appreciated the honesty and I walked away feeling like they werent just trying to take advantage and make money off of either vehicle I brought in. Will definitely be giving them my service again!

I don’t usually bother with reviews but I feel like this company deserves one. Hands down, best auto shop I have been to. I was in and out for an oil change in 30 minutes flat. The gentleman behind the desk was friendly, knowledgeable and the entire staff is down to earth and helpful. Highly recommend and will be back for my future needs!

They did a great job with customer service and an even better job with fixing my car even though the first part was defective on the manufacturers end they worked with me until I was satisfied with my car as It was under warranty Alan did a great job at fixing the car and explaining what he did to fix the car Rob is the owner of the establishment and he was very polite and professional i would highly recommend this establishment and i will be returning if i have any future problems and i will be recommending this establishment to every one i know that has car issues.

I brought my 2004 MINI in after a bad install job of my new engine. I have been nothing but impressed by the work and the sheer attention to detail at JoCo Auto, not to mention the professionalism and customer service is top notch. Josh has gone above and beyond what was requested on my car and even replaced missing parts that my other shop lost, he has pride in the work he does and always does the job the way its suppose to be done. My car literally has never run as good as it does now. Alan the owner has also stepped in to help out and make sure my car was back to its cheeky self. Just went through another car purchase that I had them check as well. Honest, kind employees. Ive definitely found a shop Ill always be bringing my cars to!2015: took a car in for a pre purchased used car check. They took care of the inspection quicker than they had originally told me so I didnt have to spend much time there. While I was waiting the employees were talking to me and other customers so kindly, having actual conversations with us. These seem like great people and a great shop! Ill be coming back with the car I just bought!

Always honest and they do great work. When they misquoted a part price that should have been more expensive, they charged me the original quote. If you have to wait there, they have sodas, Keurig, and a massage chair. If it will take a few hours, they offer free rides to a restaurant or back to your house.

I came in because I thought I needed new brake pads/rotors. They told me the percentage left and said my car was good to go. Got me in and out quickly considering the volume that day. I like this place because they didnt try to sell me on a bunch random things I didnt need. Plus they have a shuttle service which is convenient.

Johnson County Auto I feel is a very honest shop and would not try to take advantage of its customers. That is more important then trying to cut corners and save money. If you cannot stand the reality of labor by the hour and parts cost then I would look elsewhere and find a shade tree mechanic. I will continue to take my vehicles there in the future.

I went in there because my car was overheating. They were great they found the issue even took me outside to show me the issue and explained in detail why my car was overheating. Even though they were busy they took the time to look at a few other things and I wanted to get quotes on. At the end of my visit I left with three different quotes on the things I needed to get done. They are very friendly, honest and caring. I would recommend you take your car there.

This place is the definition of customer service. A few months back I had my Nissan Altima’s breaks done by them and they did a great job. Even called me a week after to make sure the breaks were doing good.Fast forward to now my Altimas got in a wreck and I’m now looking for a car. I trust them to inspect cars before I purchase them. They made time for me even though they are extremely busy and stopped me from buying a car with a whole host of issues!!! I’m actually taking another used car to them tomorrow to inspect!I trust these people they are real and honest. I highly recommend. I will continue to go to them.

I called them at 8:30 with a flat tire. By 9:30 they were looking at my car and by 9:45 they had identified the problem. I have used them in the past for other little things and have always been impressed. On another occasion I broke the entry to my gas tank, and they jimmied it open for me free of charge. This time they ordered my tire and had me on the road again within a few hours. Their service was impeccable as always.

Excellent! Had my car towed there because it died on me. They did their diagnostic exam, found the problem and only charged me half price because it was such a simple fix. They then gave me a laundry list of needed repairs (which were all valid). I declined most of them, but let them rotate my tires. They did not pressure me at all; they were very polite and did only what I asked them to do. They even have toys for the kids to play with while you wait, and they even gave my 2-year-old a toy car filled with candy to keep!Then, to top it all off, they called me a few months later to see how my car was doing, just checking up on me. Never had a repair shop do that, I was taken aback. Sure, they may just be doing that to get my business, but it worked! If I ever need any major repairs, I will take my car there.

I came to JOCO with my Acura running extremely rough.They diagnosed the problem of a coil going out in the 2 nd cylinder and had me on the road in 2 hours!The front counter we excellent, I am definitely going back for any future automotive repairs,,, trustworthy, knowledgeable and honest. JOCO is AMAZING!

I have many reasons for using JOCO Auto.Timeliness: they always finish sooner than they predict.Respect: everyone is an expert in their own field. Few are experts in others fields. JOCO Auto personnel recognize that is why people go to mechanics. I never feel like Im being taken advantage of or talked down to. Even men get that, some places. Not here.Accuracy: the diagnostic of my vehicles problem is always accurate. I can tell theyre not just shooting from the hip.Value: I recently had some work done on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. Dodge trucks arent the cheapest when it comes to parts. I know this in advance before I take it in. This recent work ended up being about 20% less than it would have cost me at the shop in my town. That made it well worth the distance of an hour drive to go to JOCO Auto.There is a long list of things I still need to fix on my truck. At over 200,000 miles it needs a lot of attention. JOCO Auto has helped me with a priority list. What needs to be done first. What can wait.My truck was running badly. I was thinking of getting rid of it. Now its running great.

My car was running rough, and the check engine light had come on. Its never convenient to be without your car, but this happened just before my Thanksgiving travel plans, plus work travel as soon as I got home from the holiday. I called early in the morning, and Alan told me to bring it by and they would see what the problem was. Turned out that I needed new plugs and wires. They knew my wires were under a lifetime warranty since they had installed them four years prior, so Alan brought that to my attention and saved me $150. Two hours after initially pulling in, I was on my way. I highly recommend JoCo Automotive. My 1998 Toyota has 206,000 miles on it, and they keep it running strong!!
