Extremely rude lady at the front desk who wasnt wearing a mask. Sighed repeatedly when I asked her to repeat herself several times as she mumbled at me while continuing a conversation on Facetime with what sounded like a romantic partner. Had to find someone who was available first thing in the morning to answer a phone call to verify a 2nd point of contact, but this wasnt listed in the online rental when I reserved the trailer. I had to wait 20 minutes to load a trailer as she refused to come help me hook up the trailer. Only other individual working was filling 20 propane tanks and he finally stopped that to come over and help connect me.
Reservation booked online wasn’t guaranteed (a waste to book online and be advised to use mobile app/log into acct), truck clearly hadn’t been cleaned/wiped down inside, no dolly was provided in truck or available to went. I had to purchase one on my own. Staff was friendly that’s all.
I was overcharged for 16 miles. I keep getting put on hold and the wrong card was overcharged. It was a self check in and the worker takes my keys and checked me in. Then tells me I owe way more than I’ve already paid. He placed one of my payments on hold. This location hires nothing but troglodytes. I will never do business with U-Haul again. It’s nothing but a scam. Someone living on a budget should not choose U-Haul. If you have money to burn, go right ahead and let them scam you. 🙄
Fresh blood stains (bio hazard) inside and on footrest, looked like fresh meat had been transported but didn’t clean before renting. During the return, they trying to claim from me but luckily I already took pictures before took the vehicle. I had no option left to complain because of vehicle shortages.U-haul sent me about 14 miles away from the location I booked the truck from. Next time I may avoid U-haul and go for other options because this was my 2nd worst experience with the same location.
Terrible experience. I reserved a truck online and received confirmation. While standing in line to pick up, I heard the lady behind the desk tell a man that he was late, so he had lost his reservation. He acknowledged that he was late and understood, and was asking her if she could find other accommodations. A few minutes later, the lady called out my name to ask if I was in line. When I stepped forward she then told me that I wouldnt be able to rent a truck, there were none available. I explained that I had reserved it - she replied they put you on the wrong truck. There are no local trucks and that truck is going to North Dakota. (where the aforementioned gentleman was going) I asked why I was allowed to reserve the truck and she repeated more forcefully they put you on the wrong truck. So after a moment I asked if I had this straight - This guy was late and lost his reserved truck, which was then assigned to me, but she was taking it away from me and giving it to him even though I was on time? She replied he was not late even though I heard him admit it himself moments earlier. Then she repeated once again they put you on the wrong truck. She never once explained who they were and offered nothing in the way of trying to help me find an alternative even. Terrible. One quarter of one star if could.
Not too pleased with Corporate U-Haul. What they recommended and charged for my car were grossly over priced..., but I know I paid over $70 for something I could have done myself just the same way for $5. Update: For another $10 the following day, U-Haul finished the work as I would have expected in the first place.

The sells associate there was not helpful at all.I let her know before returning the truck not to charge my card and that I was paying cash upon returning the truck. I inspection, then going inside to see what the charges were she had all ready charge my card and over charged for mileage. She told me you have so many miles to used before being charged drove about 45 miles. Said I had over 100 miles before being charged. Then tried to put the blame on the person who inspected the truck said I should have told him that I was paying cash. Instead of initially putting in her notes when I first told her before I gave her my information that I was paying cash. She didnt care she screwed up and manager didnt correct her on it. 5315 Summer Ave. Is there location.

Went to get propane filled. Posted hours were open until 7. Showed up at 6:35 and was told the manager decided to close up propane at 6:30. Explained I was leaving to camping in the morning and that posted hours were until 7. No where did it say propane closes at 6:30. The three people behind the counter said they could not help me. Mind you there are no customers but me. There are two other guys outside in garage. Just lazy and really poor customer service. Sad how hard it is to find good people that take pride in their work and taking care of customers.
This location should lock the doors at 6:50pm if they do not plan on working until 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:50pm parked trailer and walked into the building to check the trailer in. There were 3 female employees and 1 male employee who may have been the manager. They allowed me to walk in the building and walk up to the register and waited until the clock turned 7:00pm and told me it is now after 7:00pm and I had to leave the building and check the trailer in online. That was rude and unprofessional especially since they were just standing at the registers talking. They could have said they were closing when I first walked in the door. I am only giving them 3 stars because the young man who helped hook the trailer to my vehicle was helpful and professional.
Rude and nasty couple of young women at the front desk. One with a ponytail with blue color accents and the other with shoulder length wavy hair. The one with the wavy hair was busy overlooking me being next in line by asking the older caucasian man behind me if he needed assistance. I spoke up about it. Im an African American woman. They were giving nasty looks & speaking rudely while behaving as if they were being bothered by doing their jobs. This was my first & last time doing business at this Summer Ave location. I will advise anyone I know to avoid this location If their looking for decent & timely customer service.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Rental trailer was good except for a couple of running lights not working. Overall the rental experience as a good one.
The truck was filthy, sticky, and smelled horrible. The roof leaked resulting in several boxes of books getting drenched.
DO NOT COME HERE. They do not honor their open hours. I am here at 6:35, they close at 7. ALSO, in a different experience here they wont tell you that if you buy a propane tank you cant return it. Even if you take it home, realize its the wrong size and come back the same day they wont accept it. If that is the policy you have to let people know up front.If you need to break down early the open hours should be listed as open until 6:30 instead of 7. Just wasted an hour and a half of my life, and do not have propane for my house tonight. Luckily it shouldnt get below freezing tonight.
I received a phone call within two hours of my reservation that my truck was not available. Fortunately, another location in town had one, but I was charged for the additional mileage that resulted from this change of location. While the staff at the new location was most helpful, the representative whom I spoke with on the phone for the Summer location was rude and inconsiderate.The truck was not in good shape...the drivers side rearview mirror kept falling out of place and I had to readjust whilst driving.20 years ago, I had sworn that I would never use UHaul again for similar reasons. Now, I renew that pledge.
Ordered hitch and scheduled install online. Appointment was 10 days after order. Arrived at store for appointment. Was told the installer was on vacation and the parts had not been ordered. Was advised by the store that the website schedule is broken and the installer doesn’t work the day I scheduled even if not on vacation.Uhaul had no issue charging my card through their website.
Terrible customer service and told me no trucks were available. Their customer service skills need serious improvement. They didnt even offer any other options and there are tons of trucks outside.. They were more concerned with a printer problem while the manager sat on his stool. Worst Uhaul experience EVER. Head to Budget on Stage Rd, its worth the drive.

This was not a good experience. Ordered hitch on 10/12, and it finally got installed on 12/29. I understand backordered, etc. but I constantly had to call the location in order to get any answers. Even when the hitch was installed, the store didnt call me to tell me to pick up my vehicle.
The hitch I ordered and paid for was not the hitch installed. I ordered a hitch with the part number CMF13172 which was not instock at the time of my order. I set my appointment up for a week later so the hitch could be shipped to the location for installation. The morning of the install I got a call from the location doing the install saying my parts had arrived but they had lost power and needed to shift my install to another location. I was told my parts would be moved to the new location for install. When I arrived at the new install location the lady at the counter had no clue as to what the forms I was signing were for and really had an I dont care attitude. I asked to make sure my parts had arrived and she said everything was in order and they had the parts I needed on hand. An hour later Im told my car is done and I get my key back. When I approched my car I see the hitch is visible below my bumper even though I ordered a hitch the was supposed to be hidden bu the bumper. Upon looking at the part number I see that the hitch part number that was installed was CQT75222. When I go back to talk to the install tech he states that that part number was the only one available and used on my Jeep. He stated that he was unaware that I had ordered parts and that the one I wanted required them to cut a peice out of my bumper for install. He said Uhaul does not do that and would never do that. He also did not seem to care that he installed the wrong part number.Why would Uhaul offer something and offer installation if they can do it. No one at this location cares about the customer or there workmanship. Im very disappointed in the service and will never recommend Uhaul for hitch install.

Do not use these people. The battery died in truck. My husband is with the road assistance people AS WE SPEAK. The road side assistance people can’t even get the truck to start. This is holding us up in finishing our move.I’ve used this location more than once. The service there is always terrible. However, this time here is by far the ABSOLUTE WORSE!!

I had a great experience at this location. First, Ms. Lakeisha was very professional & friendly. Soon as I walked through the door I received a warm greeting. She explained everything in my contract & patiently answered all my questions. Also, Mr. Daveion (I apologize because I know I misspelled his name) was very professional while helping me with my vehicle & tow. He also answered my questions patiently. I truly appreciate the great customer service I received at this location. If I still lived in Memphis Id definitely use this business again. Thanks!
Make all policies and procedure clear on the front end. I dont think its fair to ask for vehicle registration and lease for use of a debit card and cash. Its the same guaranteed money. Every person does not use credit. Also the customer service can be improved as well. If you dont like your job, find another one..no one is forcing you to be there. Check the attitude at the door. The equipment was outstanding. No issues at all. The gentleman that checked the equipment was phenomenal.
This U-Haul facility is so efficient it is amazing!! I even told the facility manager that he runs a GREAT operation. I dont get to say something like that very often. Wow! I still cant believe how easy they made the experience. Great customer service! Keep up the good job.
The advertised $19 per day rentals is misleading and should be avoided.
Pick up and drop off were very easy. I appreciated the plexiglass partitions. Even though it was a busy Saturday, first Saturday of the month, all of the employees where helpful and nice and sped things along. Great experience!
I initially had a reservation at a different location, when I arrived I was told they had rented out the equipment I needed. I paid $120 to have a vehicle towed to that specific location because I was told that’s where I would pick up the car transport I needed. I had to pay for a second tow to a different location where it took almost 2 1/2 hours for me to get the vehicle that I needed and leave town. Absolutely one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company. I will not be using U-Haul again.
Employees didn’t wear masks. Employees were rude. Customer service was useless. I had to go to 3 different locations before I could get what I needed. I do not recommend uhaul.

When people make a reservation for a specific pick up time, and for specific equipment the facility should have the truck and equipment available for the customer and not force them to wait over an hour to get what was supposed to be reserved for a specific time. Manager at the summer avenue location was incredibly rude and did nothing to rectify the situation.
I got a hitch installed @ this store The quick connect cable installed doesn’t work, the manager refuse replace that part because his ”professional “ is not available and wants me come back but I went there 3 times for the same thing!!! We refuse to refund my money! That old man just not give a F... He and all girls in that store need improve their customer service. It’s just ridiculous!
Was the only place nearby that had the trailer I needed. Very professional and helpful staff. Process was fairly streamlined and easy.
Not their fault, just UHaul practice in general:Basic Uhaul location. Staff were nice, rented 10ft truck which was old/worn/etc but worked.The process is insane however. Moved to new state, so no license yet until DMV apt in a few weeks, had to go home and bring passport because the deed to the house I bought wasnt good enough (need rental agreement....) and then had to call someone to verify they knew me...in the middle of the day....when people work....Just ridiculous.
Train management on customer service Because bad talking the customer isnt it. It is not polite to ask a customer will aa certain amount of money will break them after asking why they were charged for rentals not asked for and for some that $7 may have broken them thanks for attacking someones personal life. If anything its a scam going on that you can just slip in a loose dolly and say it was tagged when it wasnt. Never tell a customer how to go about their next trip with you because something went wrong on your part and even if it didnt to give me no solution to my problem just saying well I cant do anything because it dont have the tag, um it never had a tag and its definitely taking up space in my rental, but you wont have to worry about another visit Mr. Crawford.

I rented a small storage unit from this location for almost a year March 2019 - March 2020. The staff was always helpful when I called or came in with any questions. Along the way I began autopay for my monthly rent. When I no longer needed the unit; and cleaned it out; the autopay ceased. I had a great experience with everyone I encountered at this location.

Ive been using U-haul for over 15 years and this will be my last time; when I went into the store to return the truck-the manager did not even have the COURAGE to come address me face to face- if 0 stars where an option I would have made that choice
Wish I had of read reviews before hand. I was treated very wrong with the customer service I received especially from the worker Destiny. Its obviously time for her to find a new job. I had to get a refund for everything and still waiting on my money to be back on my card. I will be contacting corporate about my experience here. I booked my reservations 1 month prior and still when arriving things were not correct. If you want a great experience I would not suggest this location, and I hardly ever post reviews but felt this was needed. I asked destiny about options for returning truck after hours her response was if its not here at 5 you still will be charged even after explaining to her that one of the men advise me about the dropbox and how I could use the truck after hours. Something has to be done about this type of behavior from an employee.The way she talked to her supervisor when he corrected her says enough I believe his name was Ken. I feel for anybody who has to work with her.
Take heed from this and other 1 star reviews. This place is AWFUL! My father was there for a one way rental. They were completely rude and unprofessional! They asked for information that was already given to them two days prior. Then refused to let us get a preferred trailer. The gentlemen that was helping him disappeared and more than 20 minutes later another gentleman finally came outside and (halfway) inspected the trailer. My father is a patient minister that rarely has anything negative to say. He was very upset with the staff and only one older gentleman made an attempt to truly help. From previous reviews I am in disbelief that the staff is still there. I will be making contact with corporate.
Went to buy a hitch for my truck and I was going to install myself. General Manager Kenneth Crawford stated he thought it was the wrong hitch and advised me to come tomorrow at 10am for someone to look at my truck. I know what it looked like and he refused to let me look at something I was buying to make sure it was correct. Very rude and just walked away. I do not recommend this place. Go some where else. My one question is how does he know it is not correct if he did not look at it??
Trucks should be cleaned and sanitized. Customer Service Counter Staff should adhere to online registration completed by customers to avoid long wait times in-store.

Improve your customer service. When a patient is overcharged with extra fees that werent made clear to them through your mobile check in process, be sure your reps can explain the policies adequately and not tell the customer its their fault for not understanding something that is not explained in any detail in the initial rental process. And as for your policies, how can you justify charging someone for 3 days rental in a 24 hour period? Your customer service rep told me this was your policy. I rented for 16 hours, brought it back in 19 hours, charged for an extra day, and said if I was being charged for another day I would keep it another day. She says that if its not back that day by the time they close, I would be charged for three days. I dont think you should charge 2 days worth of rental in a 19 hour time span, especially when the first day was rented after hours. Also, if you intend to charge dolly fees, please make sure they are secured in place, instead of not securing them and trying to charge the fee at return. There was no elastic band or ribbon or anything in place when I got the truck, and they tried to charge a dolly fee when I returned it how I found it.
I wish i would have read the reviews before we decided to rent a trailer here. the ladies at the front desk were extremely rude and in helpful. I would suggest renting ANYWHERE other than here.

I barely drove 100 miles and was charged for 500. Because I didn’t take a picture of my mileage the lady over the phone told me she couldn’t do anything about it so I asked for management and was told she was on lunch.
DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! I have never been more infuriated with the down right nasty rudeness of a human being in a location that is suppose to be friendly and courteous. The first location did not have the size U-haul that we needed so they were very helpful and found us one at the Summer location.We get to the Summer location and we meet MARIA. From the start she was not welcoming, but then she really showed her true colors when we tried to pay. My boyfriend was renting the U-Haul and I was using my debit card to pay so we did not have to put down a deposit. My boyfriend has a valid TN drivers license. I have a disability that leaves me legally blind, therefore, I do not have a drivers license and never will. MARIA told us that he couldnt pay with my debit card (even though I was there with him and authorizing him to use it and I have a valid TN ID). No one had previously communicated this to us before when we called and made the reservation. So we called customer service. Customer service was also very friendly and they said that we should be able to do what we were trying to do. They called Maria and spoke with her. Yet Maria remained rude and would not let us do it. I understand that different stores may have different policies. However, Maria never once apologized for the inconvenience. She did bark, I dont know how many times I have to tell you.... and she talked to us like we were children. The whole time there were two other men working behind the counter who never once tried to help or take over the situation. They just let Maria treat us any type of way.So there we were stranded on Summer in the rain with no U-Haul.

I will never in my life use U-Haul ever again. This was a first time experience and it was completely horrible. The company lures you in with cheap rates, only to tell about additional fees, such as a $150 deposit when you arrive to the store. This is no where on the site nor does a customer service rep tell you about it over the phone.They lied about not having trucks Friday when there were plenty when I drove by, delaying our moving process to Sunday. The overall information process took too long, once again dipping into our moving time, and had many inconveniences. We had to get someone else to rent out the truck all because they didnt want to take a prepaid card distributed from a job. On top of that, we were only given less than 3 hours (after it took them forever to process everything) to use the truck so they could go home on time, inconveniencing us with a late fee to return it the next day. The service was ghetto, unprofessional and not friendly, just trash altogether. We had many things to move and their inconveniences took away from valuable time to get our things to our destinations. To give us a small time frame, along with bad weather and flooding, you would think they would be helpful and allow us to return the truck to another location to avoid a late fee, but we were denied that option. I will never, ever rent uhual ever again or recommend the company. Use Penske or a local moving company. You will waste time here and be charged a lot of money. Lesson learned. Also, a call will be made to corporate.
This is a shout out to Musante Colbert and Andrian Bullock. The short story. The wouldn’t let me leave “unsafe”. Between the courtesy call and on the spot hitch repair and trailer service. They simply were great! When it came down to doing the right thing... they acted without hesitation. Well Done.However, the manager Ken is another story.
Reserved a U-Haul with my roomate to move to a new house and our experience was less than satisfactory. The individual assisting us was rude, gave short answers and was very unprofessional. If you’re in the Memphis area needing to rent a U-Haul go to a different location, don’t waste your time here.
Two rentals, both good. One was a car dolly, the second an enclosed trailer. The dolly was fine but the trailer had a bald tire which I pointed out. They pulled two new tires from stock and changed both out. Had to wait about 45 minutes but the trailer was fine and hauled a piano back from Hattiesburg.Ill be using a car dolly again and will use this shop. Just get there early and check out the rental. Now for trucks? I go to Enterprise.
Horrible service on both occasions the little girl kennedy had a bad attitude and was very disrespectful and couldnt do her job at all.
Two times I have reserved my haul here. With my own credit card and two times they have not given me a truck. I rent uhaul a for my business. This store alone has cost me 3,000 in revenue. The manager is a racist. The employees do t care about customer services. They are rude, the building is dirty. They are slow this place needs to be shut down.
This place doesnt operate by policy & procedure. If you dont fit the profile, you and every document you give them will be cross examined. They stereotype people based on race, persona and zip code. They want you to rent from your area. It doesnt matter where youre moving to, the focus is where youre moving from. Even if you have the requested credentials, they will purposely charge you twice the deposit amount as any other location in the city. This is to detour certain people. But hey, what can you expect from a group of people that are overweight and underpaid?
They were swapped, and having computer issues, when I came to pick up my reserved truck. The woman behind the counter worked her butt off to move the line quickly. And she did so with a smile on her face.When I got delayed and returned my truck late they were very understanding. I think they would have been well within their rights to charge me for another day. They did not. I am nothing but pleased with my experience and I will certainly be back again. Thanks guys!
Waited in line for ten minutes, and when I got the front of the line, the cashier asked if any one in line had more valuable orders. She decided to help people in a random order.
Destiny should be fired, she told us to rent a Uhaul we had to have only a major debit or Credit Card.. And 160 dollar Deposit. (I was gonna pay cash) so I asked her is that the only form of payment that they accepted she said yes... Wow!!! So by it being Sunday Uhaul was my only option to get my things moved. So I called another location while sitting outside and asked them the requirements. The young lady told me form of payment and collateral. So I called another one and she said the same thing. So I went back into the building and told Destiny I wanted to pay cash. And I let her know I called the other locations and what they told me.. She was furious. Her attitude was waaaaay worse then before. So instead of accepting 1 form of collateral she now wanted two . not in the policy that she showed me nor was it that mentioned by the other two locations I contacted. She insisted on giving us a hard time so I went to the Watkins location and the young lady there was An Angel. Everything went so smooth... Again Destiny should be fired I can imagine how many people she has done that to.
Customer service is lacking at location but i think it may just be a company thing because i called the 800 number and they were the same way will not use U-Haul again. Penske here I come.

Our truck hitch had some issues on a road trip. We stopped in this UHaul to fix. Ken, the owner, was very helpful and actually drove a mile down the street to check our hitch. Great service, went out of his way.
Went here to get my propane tank refilled (which is cheaper than taking it back to the DIY stores for a refill in my experience) and the experience was kind of odd.There wasnt really anybody at the filling station when I got there, but there was a bell to ring, so I rang that and the guy came out to fill my tank and never said a word the whole time. When he was done he wrote a number on a torn off strip of paper and handed it to me and said Next! without any indication what I was supposed to do from there.So I wandered inside until I found someone to ring me up. I guess the regulars know what to do, but I didnt see any signs and he didnt tell me, so that was just kind of weird.

1 star is too much. This store should be closed and the Manager and Employees should have mandatory customer-service etiquette training. I go inside the store to rent a truck the girl at the counter asks for my bank card and ID so I give it to her, she said with this card you will need two of these things on this list and she slides the list over to me. This list was all scratched up and what you would need to rent a truck with them it listed 1) passport 2) green card 3) vehicle registration 4) lease agreement and something that I cant remember but it was stupid too. First my Bancorp Bank issued Visa card is not a prepaid card, and I am sure Bancorp Bank would be just as offended as I was by the fact that she said it was prepaid card. I explained to her that is says so on the back of the card, she wasnt having it so she calls her Manager on the phone, he stood by what she said, so I asked her to ask him to come out and look at my card. He comes out and says without looking at me or my bank card, that I will need two of those things listed on a scratched up list. I dig in my purse and pull out a copy of my vehicle registration (pure luck), I had a faxed copy of my lease renewal and I give it to the girl, she says this lease has to be at least within 30 days and has to be verified. WELL ILL BE A M&F&R, REALLY? Very calmly, I step outside and call customer service because I knew I was totally right about my card, which U-Haul customer service Ms. Vell (if I spelled it right) confirmed that I was right about my bank issued card and that I could in-fact use a pre-paid card if I had one, and If I wanted to go back in the store she would confirm this to the Manager. No maam, I will not give them my business today or any other day. 5315 Summer Avenue get it TOGETHER!
Just had a trailer hitch and wiring installed on our for $346. They did not have the hitch instock so the store made an appointment for my husband to come back the next day at 11:30. They started on it at 12:25 and finished at 1:05. Charging us for an 1 1/2 hrs labor. Not too bad but the next day we looked at the wiring and part of the wiring that hooks to the car was broken and the plug was hanging and scraped even though it was not low enough to scrap. Went back to have them fix it and they wanted another $16 for a bracket to fix the problem. 3 trips to U-haul plus time waiting. We told the MANAGER we shouldnt have to pay for something to fix it! They did not tell us it waa going to cost extra on top of the $346. We told to just take the brackets off!! Manager was not very synthetic and now U-haul has 2 very unhappy customers.
This location has VERY RUDE Employees that could care less about anything other than their paycheck.1)Absolutely No parking, trucks are even parked in the fire lane in back of store2)They run out of moving supply and tell you to bad and we dont know when we will have more in3) We bought 2 medium bundles and a large bundle if boxes and NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE offered to help load them(not even the store Mgr that was standing behind counter)and on top of that an employee walks up and says very loudly to the mgrdo you want me to go check their car to make sure they didnt take any extra boxes? My husband told him that if hes so worried about people stealing, maybe he should help load!Unbelievable rudeness, attitude, laziness and overall lack of care.
This was my favorite Uhaul until today. Im beyond pissed off. Both times I stored my furniture I paid extra for 24hr access and so the guy tells me that you have to be in the storage unit for two months in order to gain that access. I only need it for one month thats it as always .Im like Im a returning customer and you cant help me? I even told both Maria and the other guy that you can look in the system and see that Im a returning customer but they were so dry, rude and nonchalant. The guy walked off from me because he was originally helping me and I mean he just walked off and I was like are you going to say okay thank you, sorry I couldnt help or something, no he just walked off, He was so rude and Im just very disappointed because I choose that location because its a central location for where Im going to be. Im so upset because now I have to try to find another storage company and Ive always used Uhaul but this experience just made me very upset and I wont be returning.
Avoid this Uhaul at all costs. We got there to rent a trailer and they told us there were none we wanted in stock, which was fine considering I booked it that day, and I hadn’t received a confirmation yet. So I decided on another trailer. However, that’s when it goes downhill. The lady checking us out was almost comedically slow, and kept flirting with her male coworkers the whole time. I was in front of a group needing to rent a truck, and she called us both forward at the same time, saying she would “deal” with us both at the same time. I ended up getting most of my stuff done after the other group, even though I was ahead of them (not a great tactic). We already own a trailer hitch, ball, and light converter for my Chevy Tahoe. She had another worker go outside and check it out, and he said none of our equipment was good! Even though we purchased it all from another uhaul and used it multiple times!! He came inside and starting stacking a bunch of products on the counter for us to buy (saying we needed them to be able to rent the trailer) that were $100+. No thanks! They blamed it on their manager, saying he follows “strict uhaul guidelines”... sure. We left and I called uhaul in the car, they directed us to the one in Germantown on Poplar. Go there!!! They had us in and out and the trailer attached in 5 minutes.
The manager Kenneth was the Rudest most condescending person Ive ever encountered. Very shameful how he conducts himself. Lauren was very helpful though.
This location was fine, everyone was very nice and seemed to be working as fast as they could to help the next customer.
Computers always down. Big company.and.wont invest to .make customer experience better. No customer have to sit and wait for an hour just for the.computer running
We get our propane tanks filled here and the employees are always super nice. I dont understand all the bad reviews.
They are very strict to what kind of card you use on reserveration. If mgr wants to let you slide with card she will. And if ahe doesnt she want allow you to use card. Then its cash and a bunch of rules

Only putting one star because I have to. Nowhere in the contract did it state that we had to pay extra for more access to our stuff, and it’s not even 24hr!!! The guy was rude to me, and my 13yr old autistic child!!! Told us we had to put our stuff back because HE was off the clock... rude fat ass mofo I’m NEVER going to use Uhaul again
Garbage service .. they will overcharge you and get every cent of your deposit they can location is pure trash never again also contacting bbb and their corporate office
The rudest people Ive encounter, the girl at the counter with her hair wrapped up, unsure her name but she needs to be in back or at home. She doesnt know how to talk to people, unprofessional and unhelpful. I was up there this past Sunday, I was told I would need $125 deposit plus, the cost of the truck and mileage. I left this location because of her rudeness, and they didnt have the truck I needed. But I found it strange, when I got the location all the way on the other side of town on Watkins, I was not told I needed a $125 deposit, neither was it held on my card. So am not sure if you all policy change from location to location or shes just ripping people off. I will lean towards ripping people off. I will make sure to never send anybody to this location!!
These people are rude stupid and inconsiderate and I will never use these SOBs again. I only gave them one star because I had to put something they dont even deserve that much
This location is terrible! The manager and an employee, Brian were by far the rudest people Ive ever met. I was insulted and talked to as if I was the dumbest person on the earth for asking a question before I signed the contract and when I came back and saw an extra charge on my bill. The manager was worse than the employee. I will never ever in life us U Haul again!!!
Did the pre-check in to cut down on wait time, was still there 40 minutes. They added items to my bill that I didnt request, and then couldnt figure out how to take them off, so he asked if I could just pay for it. Just paid for it, since I had been there so long and had a deadline and somewhere to be. Paid in cash because their credit card machine wouldnt work, was told to return the truck by 7:30am the next day, would be refunded what wasnt used. Returned at 7:20, was told they didnt open the store with cash so they couldnt refund my money, would need to leave the truck and come back for the money later. Seriously?! Have needs for a truck weekly for the next couple months, will NEVER use this business again.
The Manager on duty KEN was very disrespectful. When I was in the process of returning the 10ft truck i rented it would not go into reverse or park. I had to get out and push the truck to turn around so i returned the truck. Upon my return I was met with Ken telling me that reguardless i was responsible for putting gas in it and that since i used the truck without a problem that i should still pay full price. I told him that I did not appreciate the way he was talking to me because I was not being disrespectful toward him at all. He was very beligerent, unprofesional, and used profanity with me. I was not the only customer in the store at the time! Ultimately he told me he would take $5 off of the price of the truck. By this time I was very upset I still remained professional and not not become upset even though he was VERY disrespectful. I turned around and walked out of the store only to have KEN follow me out and goto his truck as if he was getting something to protect his self which left me very intimidated and that ended the ordeal because i wasnt going to risk someone going postal and doing something to hurt me! I will never return to this UHAUL and I will remove my things from the storage there as soon as possible I also will be leaving a review on Google for this location and I am still very upset that I was made to pay after being talked to the way I was. I asked Ken if there was someone else i could talk to because of how he was speaking to me and he told me You can talk to anyone you want to, it is going to come back to me!
Every reservation was on time and ready hadnt had a bad experience. Thanks to Ken the manager
1 STAR is TOO MUCH for this location. PLEASE BEWARE and DO NOT use this location at anytime. RUDE, RACIST, MAKE UP THEIR OWN RULES, LYING, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND WILL NOT RENT OUT THEIR TRUCKS OR EQUIPMENT IF THEY DO NOT WANT TO OR DO NOT FEEL LIKE IT. The lady who works there said that she does not feel like giving the RESERVED in ADVANCE box truck today without any reason, and just LEFT!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE PLACE WITH EVEN WORST PEOPLE WORKING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rude people, bad customer service. I spent 30 min looking to add another contact to my account. I was never informed about this. Also, they refused to let me speak with a manager when I asked for him/her.
