Great day shopping for new glasses today at Stanton. Entire staff from check-in were helpful, friendly and very customer oriented. The actual doctors exam was virtual, which was pretty cool. Cant wait to get my new glasses!

Would have been a lower star review. I bought a pair of glasses that broke within a month or so of buying them and took them back. They were happy to let me pick out a new pair at no additional cost, was even a more expensive frame. Great establishment, people here really want to help, and they have great deals as well.

This place is great! The staff is super helpful and pleasant (both Melissas are amazing)! They have a great selection and have great sales. Both my husband and myself have gotten 3 pairs of glasses and we love them. Highly recommend.

Ive walked around blind my whole life until yesterday. I loved how professional they were and made getting glasses a good thing. They had an amazing selection of glasses but I found what I wanted right next to the door. I seen them do two repairs on glasses while I was there. Super nice and helpful. Horrible customer service. A screw fell out of my glasses, my daughter took them in to have a new screw put in, they put the wrong size screw in and it split the frame. When I took the glasses back in they didnt care at all that they broke them. Her reply was your warranty is expired so you can buy new frames.I would never recommend spending your money there.

So this review is mostly about the frames. They are horrible. I wont be wearing either pair. One pair look like chick glasses and other are coke bottle shaped. Looked completely different in store.Eye exam was ok. Not in person doc just screen but who cares.Workers were pleasant enough. If you dont get the promotion deals be prepared to pay ALOT. Cant really complaintoo much as glasses were $15 extra so back up pairs I guess

Had an accident with my flimsy glasses and broke a tiny wire at the bottom that holds the lense in place.Thought I might have to just buy new ones but while I was doing my delivery route (I’m a ups driver) I ducked in and asked if they do repairs.Got them back in one day. No charge!Awesome people!!!Even put my glasses in a case and a box!So professional!!!I gave them 20$ coffee card in thanks!I’ll be back if I need repair again! And I will for sure tell everyone who needs glasses this is the place!!!Thank you!!!!

Terrible, just go to Wal-Mart. Was rude and unprofessional staff, the automated call system hangs up on you, and nearly impossible to reach the actual store you went into for the exam. I was quoted $89 for single pair of lenses and exam, and 7-10 days for them to arrive... $225 and 17 days later I still have not received my glasses. After finally getting the store and a real person, they told me to just wait and they will call me whenever they arrive, and that they wont do anything until 2 weeks have passed, again this was on day 17 so... If the owner reads this I would like the whole thing canceled and a refund.EditBeen over a month now, I got the glasses... Prescription is wrong, I have worse vision with them on. They wouldnt adjust the glasses to fit, cant look down at all without them just dropping. The fancy harder scratch resistant lenses I payed extra for are scratched the hell up from the total of about an hour I have been able to keep them on my face. I told them I wanted a refund, still nothing. Already had another appointment at Walmart, pleasant, easy, significantly cheaper and with a larger selection of affordable frames. I still want my refund Stanton...

Earlier this month, I went in for an eye exam because I lost my glasses and I NEED them to drive. I work Monday through Friday and its difficult to take time off for appointments. When I saw Stanton Optical was open on Saturdays, I decided to give them a try.My first impression: The staff was friendly; the building was clean; and there were dozens of frames to choose from.However, the eye exam itself was VERY different from what Ive done in the past. I was seated in a room with a TV screen mounted on the wall. On the TV screen was an optician who conducted the exam remotely. She rushed through the questions as quickly as possible and signed off before I could even say goodbye. The entire process must have taken less than 10 minutes. I left feeling nervous that she hadnt taken enough time to ensure my prescription was correct.I proceeded to try on frames, found two I liked, and was seated to discuss purchase options. The employee was very kind, but I was blown away when I discovered it would be almost $400 and two WEEKS before I would have my glasses.If I had to do this over again, I would have scheduled time off of work to go to an in-person optometrist appointment. I had to pay $400, anyways; I might as well have spent it with a professional who wouldnt have rushed through the exam and would have assured me that my prescription was correct.Overall: The staff who works at this location are helpful and kind, but the remote eye exam is too rushed and impersonal to leave you feeling confident that your $400 was well spent. Id suggest going to a private practice for better results.UPDATE: It came as no surprise that my prescription was wrong. I can see fine up-close, but distance remains blurrier than it should be. Im stuck with these glasses until I can afford new ones - which wont be for quite a while. Take it from me: Skip Stanton and go to a local optometrist.

Worst experience for first time and never going back!!! Had to take 2 eye exams only to find out they originally messed up my prescription and I had to wait a total of two months mistake after mistake after mistake every time my lenses for my glasses were delivered! Would not recommend! There lab is the worst and do not know what they’re doing! You can never get a hold of the damn store either and when you go I person they’re just on the computer and no one in the store. Worst customer service!

I called the call center to book an appointment, but received a follow up call to set my expectations of what was going to happen, for my late evening appointment. Which went fabulous. Melissa Pierson, the General Manager was friend, informative and mutli-task master. Genevieve who helped me with my frames, options and insurance was a fun and helpful person for someone who hasnt purchased glasses in such a long time. Overall, 5 star experience.

Made an appointment for 4:45pm I arrived at that time too be told there were 5 people ahead of me and they probably wouldnt be able to start my exam until 6:00pm. I tried to be understanding and said I would come back at 6 oclock only too be told theu close at 6 and I would have too wait if I wanted too be seen. Very disappointed with their customer service and scheduling process. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Called to schedule an appointment and they got me in the same day. They were super busy but they took great care of me and I got an amazing deal on glasses! Both of the ladies that were there were great and they stayed late to help me and another person out. I would definitely recommend Stanton Optical and Melissa (I believe that was her name) was awesome to work with.

I went to Stanton as a last resort after all the other optometrists were booked out months in advance. If all you need is an exam and basic glasses, this will suffice. If you want anything above that, including customer service, go elsewhere.

The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would suggest making an appointment online as it makes the check in and appointment go quickly. They have a good selection of frames and can make lenses in house if you only have a single vision prescription. If you need bifocals or special coating on your lenses they are sent off and you get them within 10-14 days. I would suggest this place for your glasses or contact needs.

My first time visiting Stanton Optical was great! The staff communicated with me every step of the way. Even the new trainee did her best to reassure that though she was new she would double-check her process was accurate with an experienced team member. They were all friendly and patient as I browsed their selection of glasses, posed, and texted my boyfriend for his perspective on which looked best. As for COVID protections, they made sure to disinfect any glasses before I could try them on to ensure my safety. And for the safety of others they asked not just me but anyone who entered the standard COVID questions.Kristin, especially, was amazing! When getting ready to pay, she made sure to explain her thought-process so I could follow along. She let me take my time to ask my boyfriend his opinion on which options I should go for. She also made sure to answer any questions I had while also double-checking if the options she offered were workable for me.Oh! And one thing that was cool is that they had an independent eye doctor who was able to check my vision virtually. So they all definitely worked together to do their best to ensure I had my needs met.Overall, it was a great experience! Definitely would go again with their current staff to talk to.

05.21.21I just went to Stanton last week and this place is highway robbery. The staff are rude and inattentive to their customers. They get flustered and start bad-mouthing “corporate” as an excuse for their poor service. If you want to part with your money, Stanton’s got you covered. They’ll gladly take your cash without doing a damned thing for you. They referred me to an actual opthomologist after taking my $45 for a “free” eye exam. If you want a cheap pair of glasses for way too much money, this is your store. If you want professionals who actually know what they’re doing however, avoid Stanton at all costs.

All the ladies at the Medford location were AWESOME! I was a first timer and they were so helpful and informative. Genevieve sat with me for my final choosing and was professional & hospitable but also friendly and personal. She was very informative and I left happy with my final decision( which is a whole thing for me) and the deals I got. 10/10 would recommend!

Be aware that this place does telemedicine only. If that had been clear from their website, when I called, or when they greeted me at my appointment, it would have saved us all a lot of time.

I have been to two locations, one in Anchorage and one in one in Medford. Neither of which were helpful at all. Anchorage put my prescription in backwards the first time. I lost one lense and it has taken 13 days for them to fix. No sense of urgency in their part. Tried charging me 60 dollars. Very frustrating will never ever ever use then again.

I loved the women that helped me super patient and helpful. I’ve sent my entire family here very affordable and quick my husband broke his frames I brought them in to be fixed they got sent off and I got them back in a week very happy with the service. Would really recommend them

10/10 would recommend for service and 10/10 will come here again next time.I had my eye exam and purchased two sets of glasses last year in May. The warranty on the frames had expired after the one year mark. I had a pair break after that warranty was up so I took them in and they tried to order a frame to put the old lenses in, with the expectation that I would pay for a new frame, not lenses.That frame never came. I came in to the store and restyled to a new frame, also expecting to pay for the new frames. They told me because of my hassle and the time it took, they took care of everything and I only had to pay a $9.99 shipping fee.They also took the second pair of glasses I had, which had a screw that was way overtighted or tightened up while I was using them. They took the lenses out of the old frame and put them in a brand new frame.I dont normally take the time to leave good reviews but Stanton Optical went out of their way to take care of me. Im going out of mine to leave this review.10/10 recommend. Genevieve was awesome! Keep doing what you do!

Made an appt for 2:10pm and was there 5 minutes early. A gentleman walked in after me, said he was late for his appointment. Somehow, someone who was late for their appointment got bumped ahead of the responsible customer who was on time for his appointment. This guy not only came in late but was seen before me and was walking out of the door before me. Not only that but I was unable to ask questions of the eye dr bc it was all virtual. 0/10, do not recommend and will be taking my business back to Americas Best.

Absolutely LOVE this location. The girls here go beyond the call of duty to satisfy your wants and needs. I will be there customer as long as I live in Medford. I went online made appointment that worked with my schedule and when that day came I was seen exactly on time. The customer service is outstanding and very welcoming. The communication these girls have is outstanding as well so youre always knowing whats next. I strongly recommend this location/business. There went two hours Ill never get back. After taking an eye exam, I was told to wait for the virtual optometrist. 20 minutes later, an employee asked me Youre still here? Stanton Optical in Medford is the place to go! Megan (Meghan- sorry about the spelling), Genevieve, & Kristin have been great both times I’ve gone in. All Professional with the perfect touch of funny and knowledgeable in choices for glasses. I was really unsure and had a hard time deciding what was best for me. They were able to advice and explain my options for glasses. I even added sunglasses to complete my order. I will continue to come here for all my optical services!

I wish I could leave a negative star. My husband paid for eye glasses and contacts. He has never received the contacts. He went in twice to tell the doctor his trials worked. Finally the doctor did his job and signed off on them only to tell us they wouldn’t be ordered because we hadn’t paid for them...even though we paid and have confirmation that we did. Then we check his account and it says the contacts were already dispensed - but we never received them. We called customer service (which has nothing to do with the actual store) and they couldn’t figure out the problem. They said we would get a call back in 48-72 hours. A week later, still nothing. We call again (after waiting on the line for 20 minutes) and they say .... we will give you a call back in 48-72 hours. They cannot transfer me to a manager to file a complaint either or help me contact the actual store. Over a month later and we still don’t have contacts. Husband is going in today to (hopefully) get a refund. My hopes are not high at this point. Taking our prescription and going somewhere else.

The store is filthy, the bathroom clearly hadnt been cleaned in WEEKS. There was human waste all over the toilet which unfortunately my little boy touched while lifting the seat to use the restroom. See photos. There was something dripped down the walls in the bathroom, and the floor was disgusting, again, see photos. This would have been notably gross at a truck stop, much less a place where Im expected to then touch my eyes to remove my contacts for an exam. The saleswoman Melissa P used incredibly abrasive high pressure tactics, neglecting to mention until it was too late that the entire process was done by video with some overseas center, there is no optometrist here. When I went to wash my hands to take out my contacts they were out of paper towels, she told me to use the last half piece glued onto the roll wet from someone elses hands and nothing else. To top it all off, you cannot call the store directly, and their customer service center is impossible to reach, I waited on hold for 47 minutes before giving up and posting this review. I will not be returning to finalize my prescription, its not worth the $89 I paid. If youre into inadvertently contacting other peoples bodily fluids Id recommend this place. Otherwise use one of the MANY other options in town.

While the tele-exam itself was fine, this place brings customer service to a new low. I accompanied my mother to her exam to help with potential hearing difficulties. During her exam, I left the room and asked the technician if I could get a drink of water for her as her mouth was dry. The tech told me the exam was almost finished and waved me back into the room. After, she asked us to leave by a side door because they were tracking business and said we could get free water next door. The prescription was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, I call the store to see if its ready and I am connected to a foreign call center. I ask if its ready and am told it will be Monday before its ready. I reiterate that I was told 30 minutes and the operator tells me my glasses will be there Monday. I didnt order glasses and told him that. He says maybe its an old order. This is my first time here, so thats not the case. Long story short - he was completely unable and unwilling to help me and refused to connect me to someone who could help. He also said there was no manager I could speak with. Please dont go here ever. Its simply not worth the hassle.

Lose the Call Center!I called twice to find out if a specific frame style (goggles with straps) were available for my toddler, who is suffering from severe photophobia and cant wear regular style frames (they let in too much light). The guy that answered the phone barely even knew the name of the company and kept having to put me on hold to ask someone the answers to my questions.After assuring me that style was available, he had me schedule an appointment. Only to find out when I got there that they dont even carry nor can they order-in the style we needed. The girl was nice, but apologized and let me know they get plenty of complaints about the quality of information the call center gives out.Stanton, you have one chance to make a first impression and you chose to make the customer facing portion of your business total garbage. Taking the time to get a local phone number only to direct it to a useless call center totally ruins your credibility. Youve proven that you are okay with wasting a new customers time, and the people on that call were more worried about scheduling an appointment than they were about making a suffering two-year-old go through hell for nothing.Not only have you lost my business at any point in the future, I will be sure to instruct everyone I know to avoid your business.If you are a potential customer reading this review, try any of the 10 other places in Medford. Even the Mall has better customer service at their eye center.
