Great and easy process. Very Friendly staff although I can’t remember the name of the woman helping me with pre exams she made me feel very comfortable by talking to me about our first jobs at Baskin Robbins. After my exam, Joshua was very welcoming to help me with my insurance coverage and assisting me with my frames. He made the process very easy for me. First time going to the eye doctor without a parent since I just turned 21 and it couldn’t have went easier.

My wife and I both had exam appointmentsShe went in pretty much right awayMeanwhile I was sitting there and sitting there watching people come in after me and going in and out but I wasnt called I was patiently waiting but after 45 mins I decided to split.Im a paying customet and I can take my business anywhere.I see no reason for anyone to go to that location with their businessI usually dont leave bad reviews foranyone but after reading some of the other reviews this store has, this place warrants one

Staff is nice but the wait is crazy. My daughter had a 4:20pm appt. People came and went and she finally got called at 5:55pm. Making an appointment really doesn’t mean much. A bit messed up to see people come in after you and be seen while you still wait. She just needed a contact check and to pick up her glasses. She was done in 4 min. Smh

I came here for exam, contacts and glasses after going to Centereach location and having a bad experience. The Medford location was great. The exam with Ms Moreno was very comfortable. She was a professional. Then dealing with Kristin for materials was a delight. She was friendly, patient and very helpful. I will be coming back to Medford for my optical needs in the future !

I usually go to Centereach but was going to try to give Medford a try since it is closer to my job. After incessant appoint reminders (even 6:45 in the morning today), they called 40 minutes before my appointment to cancel because the TELEHEALTH person called in sick....what? That is ridiculous, they dont even have a eye Dr. on site???? I will never give them a chance again.

The people who work here are great but, any company with terrible customer support gets a 1 star from me. You try to call the store and, get a robot. They then transfer you to the right agent witch is another robot. Then you have to wait on hold for a second time. Just give is a choice to do what most people are trying to do. Contact someone at the store.

Horrible experience. first of all, the two front receptionists are rude. I had an appointment at 3 pm and I waited while they took people who had appointments after me/walked in after me. 40 minutes later I canceled and walked out without ever getting called in the back for my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. most unprofessional disgusting place i’ve ever been to. who knew it would be hard for someone to do a simple job like sending out a prescription lol please hire more competent people

Visited Davis Visionworks Medford office 2/4/21. Dr. Nanette Strirpe took extra time and my prescription is perfect. Chosen frames were fitted comfortably by Joshuah. Complete with extra soft nose pads. This fitting happened within 15 minutes of walking in 2/11/21. One week from my initial exam. The offices and waiting room was very clean and people spaced out .Thank You for the excellent service and personal attention. - Heather Kirwin

My review of this Medford, N.Y. location is specifically about one of their employees who took the extra step to resolve my problem Ms. Dayanara Torres. About a month ago I cracked my frames and took them in to see about it being repaired. The store manager took the glasses, my name and number and said he would call me later that day. The call never came. luckily a had a second pair. A week later I went to check on the status of my glasses. Lo and behold Dayanara found my glasses sitting on the counter with my name and number inside the glasses case right where the manager left it since last week!!! I asked why didnt the manager or someone call me. She didnt have an answer but did apologize. She took the time to investigate what happened and how to resolve the issue. She informed me the frames had to be ordered from another store and this would take a few days. Another week and a half goes by and I return to the store again. Now I have a contact person who knows what is going on. I speak to Dayanara and at no fault of hers the delivery never made it to her store. She apologized again, assured me she would take care of it. 3 days later she called me personally to tell me the glasses were ready for pickup. Thank you Dayanara Torres

They were great! I have never had glasses before and they made it so easy, nice lady at the front desk called my insurance for me and got my member id# when I didn’t have it and the doctor was super nice and made me feel comfortable then told me exactly what I needed. Then Monica fitted me for my frames and was just absolutely amazing and SUPER sweet. Every person in there was so nice and helpful. I was a walk in and was in and out in about an hour, great service!

The people here are so amazingly nice and helpful. I had been going somewhere else previously and only came here due to my insurance. I am so happy I did. I received great service and was able to get a pair of sunglasses as well as regular glasses due to a special they were having. Ive received multiple compliments on both pairs and have had no problems with either pair. I did need to have my sunglasses tightened & was able to go in & have that done, with no questions asked. Everyone is friendly, personable and the exam was thorough. The doctors are familiar with ailments that not all opticians are familiar with and I feel very happy & comfortable coming here. Best of all, I can see perfectly now!

I first went to Lenscrafters in Lake Grove and learned that they did not except my Health Insurance. I paid $169.00 for an eye exam for Glasses. I picked out a frame that I liked and with lenses was over $600.00 for 1 pair. I decided to wait and try Davis Visionworks in Medford and I am glad that I did. I found out they would have taken my insurance so the eye exam would have been free. Also my insurance paid 100% of 1 pair of glasses and they had a special that if I bought a second pair it was 50% off. SO I ended up with 2 pair of glasses of the same quality for less than $500.00. They said would take around 2 weeks. In less than a week the first pair was in. I was supposed to have an appointment to be fitted but they were extremely nice and fitted me anyway. That pair wasnt fitted properly and wearing them was giving me a headache. So the next day I received another text that the second pair was in. I went there after work and again they were kind and let me wait to get fitted again. This time there was a gentleman there Joe Fisher. I have to say that I have never had a better fitting pair of glasses in my entire life that fitted as snug as Joe Fisher made them fit.He took around 20 minutes or so and adjusted every part of my glasses to the point where it felt like this pair was made only for me. When I put them on its like they just snap right into place and fit perfectly. If you need your glasses adjusted Joe Fisher is the guy to get the job done with perfection. Many Kudos to that man.

So first off, I had an eye exam last year and it was not time to renew my glasses unless my vision changed. Which it did and the person helping me refused to call my insurance to request coverage for new lenses.Now come to present time. I have an appointment tomorrow and I can no longer make it and I’ve been calling all day. On hold for ever. I got an answer and it was then hung up before I could even get a word out. They called me today to ask a question about my appointment and I called back within 15 seconds no under exaggeration, and I am currently on home at 40 minutes. Now, I get offices can be busy, but they are seeing limited consumers at a time because of the pandemic, so I don’t see why they can’t answer.I also asked the lady on the phone when I initially made the appointment if my insurance would cover it and she said I don’t know it depends and would not give me a further answer.

Went here last week for a set of Bifocal sunglasses. Dr Marino gave me a very through exam to be sure my prescription is correct. She was professional and very pleasant and easy to talk to. I then had the pleasure of working with their technician Monica Romero. Monica listened to my needs. I wanted these bifocal sunglasses for driving, with the lower to be able to read the dash and the upper for distance viewing through the windshield. I took her recommendations for the material and glare coating on the inside of the glasses. I just got them today. Wow! Perfect. Monica was able to place the horizontal divide line in just the right place and the doctor got the prescription dead on. Nice job! And all within by budget.

Doctors are very good, quick and thorough but the customer service is dismal, its hit or miss if they are nice and good luck getting them on the phone spent over an hour trying to get ahold of them on multiple occasions.

Attempted to cancel an appointment. No one answering phones, on hold half hour. Unsure why, dont see any activity every time I pass by location. This kind of makes me uneasy if personnel cannot keep up. This prompted me to read online customer ratings-guess I wont reschedule. If any responsible employee reads this-->Im not able to keep my 3:20 Saturday 08 15 2020 appointment.

I love coming to this Visionworks location. I still remember the first time I started coming here three years ago: I was so happy that I was able to find a doctor (Dr. Joy) and workers (Joshua) that actually truly cared about my vision and didnt treat me like just another patient on their list. Dr. Joy is an amazing doctor who I wholly trust. So is it that not only do I see her, but so does my whole family (my parents and grandmother). Every time I see Joy, I have Josh help me out with my contact lens/glasses ordering. Hes exceptional when it comes to giving advice and really does care about his customers. I definitely recommend this location and Joy and Josh – thank you for being great!

I just bought new glasses from this location and I am super impressed with how helpful and professional they were. I worked with Kristin and she took the time to stay with me and help to pick out the best frames for me. I received my three pairs of glasses two days earlier than promised. They were fitted by Dr. Jeffrey Blum, who absolutely wrote a perfect prescription for all three pairs. The entire process was done superbly, and I am very happy.

I had a woman Valerie who helped me. She was extremely patient as I couldnt decide which frames to pick. She was very informative on how they looked, what were the advantages and disadvantages, and did the same with the lenses. She helped maximize the discounts on my insurance too. They ordered me the wrong prescription twice.

Debra was awesome! She took her time with me pricing out what all my options were and was honest. I lost my glasses and got a new pair right away at a fair price. Never once did I feel pressure to pick something expensive or to hurry up. Staff were amazing. Highly recommend. I cant thank them enough for helping me!!!

I come out if my way to come to this store. First off, I get a direct call from Christine to remind me that a check up is ready. The process here is pretty seamless, I get a call make an appointment, get prompt, professional and friendly service during the exam. After evaluation, we look for frames ( my favorite part!) and Christine is really good at finding the right frame for my face. I am especially grateful for my last reminder call as they did discover a potential issue with my vision. Without that call, I would be unaware! They have my business!

I just want to say what an EXCEPTIONAL provider Dr.Joy is and how lucky I am to have her as my eye doctor. Not only is her presence uplifting but her care to her patients is truly genuine. I’ve always had a difficult prescription that was consistently changing month after month, Dr.Joy would take the time during each visit to get make me feel comfortable and never once made me feel like an inconvenience in her office. She would always give me the most optimal care and made sure that I was always happy with my glasses or contacts- never once did I feel like I couldn’t come to her and tell her the prescription felt off. I will continue going to Davis Visionworks in Medford strictly because of Dr.Joy’s care and professionalism.

Horrible service on every visit, wait well over an hour every time I make an appointment with them and arrive on time. Im currently on hold rn and have been for the last half hour, and I was on hold for an hour yesterday before I said screw it and hung up. I will be finding a new eye doctor as soon as I get my new glasses from them.

Worst VisionWorks location. Had exam appointment and when I arrived claimed they had no doctor to do exam. Then manager argued with me over lens coverage I was told I had and caused a scene in the store. Stated that her employe was wrong! They treat customers horribly and claim “were under a lot of stress because we only have 2 people working in the store” and said “life has changed, get with it”. Goto any other location until they change management!

Im being generous by giving three stars I brought a pair of glasses from you guys today I asked for a cleaning cloth and was told no I have to purchase one its a cloth that comes with the glasses for free. I will not be doing business with you guys ever again.

Great atmosphere! My first time at an eye doctor and my experience was great. The service was friendly and great. I was self conscious about getting glasses but Kristin put me at ease and helped me find the ones that fit best. Highly reccomend going here for an Eye Exam!

Since the name been changed from Davis Vision to Vision Work, the whole staff changed, and with the staff costumer service and selection of the frames are changed and minimized, of course everything was changed together with staffs attitude. Why cant they call the costumers when the glasses are ready, hat if something happens and costumer goes the to pick her/his glasses is indicated on the paper work but it wasnt ready? Is it that hard to make a phone call to the customers and let them know that the glasses are ready, just like Davis Vision used to do?In my opinion this very poor costumer service, and I hope they change their policy about notifying the costumers when the gasses are ready, and put some more frame selection for the insurance coverage, everything any costumer likes they have to pay co payment because insurance is not covering after certain amount.

I always passed by this store and it seems extremely busy . I was dreading going in.. but when my glasses broke I knew it was time for a visit.. from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile, the phones were ringing off the hook but the front desk lady made sure she answered the phone and still was able to attend me. I proved myself the people came in and out but the whole staff was absolutely patient and helpful. The Doctors didn’t make me feel rushed or guilty that my glasses were like 5 years old .... I will definitely be taking my whole family here from now on....thank you.

Ive been going to Visionworks in Medford NY for years and its time for new glasses. My visit was just as pleasant as its been in the past. The person at the front desk was very friendly and I was seen by someone within 5 min. of my walking in there. I had no idea what I wanted in the way of frames but Kristen was so helpful and patient. I think I changed my mind 4 or 5 times so I apologized but she assured me that it was not a problem and she just wanted me to be happy with my choices. (Because I also had my sunglasses replaced.). My old glasses needed a nose piece and adjustments and Valerie volunteered to help me. She replaced my nosepiece and adjusted the frames on both glasses as a courtesy and now they fit great! This location is a good place to find professional, prompt service, find a wide variety of frames, and be assisted by conscientious and friendly people.

Staff is very professional and attentive to their clients. I had a great experience and received my glasses very quickly. Thank you!

I was lucky enough to get an appointment a few hours beforehand on a Friday afternoon. The entire was friendly, helpful, and courteous. It only took 3 business days for my order to show up and I could not be happier with my experience. I will certainly be returning in the future.

I will never come here again. They are just plain mean. I had a 10 am appointment and arrived 5 minutes early to make sure I was on time. It was 0 degrees outside (and I amvisibly VERY pregnant) and they would not let me in until 10 am, even though there were 2 people inside at the front desk who just waved me off. They made we wait outside and freeze. And at 10 am there was no rush to open the door. If you have a 10 am appointment here - don’t get here early (or even in time)!

I went to pick up my glasses today after a 2 week wait they were not the correct frames. When I looked at them I said they were wrong frames. They acted like it was my fault. Did not get an apology. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks. I will never use them again.

Been trying to get a hold of someone to schedule eye exam. I dont know if they are still closed due to COVID or system just doesnt work. The online web schedule says no appointments for 4 months and no answer on phone just brings you around and around in circles through menus

The staff is friendly,& the doctors are professional. I feel I always get a quality eye exam when I am seen there. It is the only place I will go. The staff is consciences and always helps me stay within my budget. A++

Went in 5/30/20 11am appointment for DMV eye check and the receptionist was extremely rude, she seemed to not like working for customer service. This was my first and will be my last experience with this place.

Worst office I have ever been to. They had not only my insurance information mixed up but also two other customers too. Took over 45 Minturn to check in because 3 out of the four people at the front desk were too busy talking about personal non work related events instead of helping the 6 people standing at the desk. The employees did not know how to look up insurances, only one person was running around trying to help everyone. I recommend going else where and save your frustration.

I come here only because I have to for my insurance. Everyone I come, the employees are corralled and talking when they could be assisting customers. It takes too long in my opinion for anything to get done. The first time I cane was a nightmare. The employee Joe was the only saving grace as he was very helpful. I will be going to the one on middle country road next time.

There is more than 10 workers on and only 2 are helping customers. I waited an hour just to pick up my glasses. I thought i would try them out but Im going back to my other place. The only helpful person was a guy name Joe, the rest of the people are are pretty much women and they are so disrespectful.

The wait in here is terrible. So many workers and no one to help. You have to have the patience of a saint. Even just to pick up a pair of glasses!!!

Maybe they are reading their bad reviews. From past experience, I made an appt. in advance and was quickly received, check up and order of frames included. The doctor was very kind and patient. I was told I would be called in 7-10 days with my prescription but if they were busy to call in myself. On the 7th day, I was called. Staff was friendly although I thought the gentleman was pushing and too agreeable with my choice of frames. I have no insurance and this is a return visit after 4 yrs. so one frame of progressives cost me $350, but the two pairs I got in the past served me well and this is why I returned.

Had a wonderful experience with my 6 year old son, Dr Joy really took her time with him and the the pre-screener made the process fun and less scary with the puff test .

Ive worn glasses for over 20 years and buying a new pair has always a hassle at other stores. Visionworks approach is much better than what you may be used to from places like Wal*Mart, Pearl Vision or Lens Crafters.I had an eye exam & bought glasses at the Medford location of Visionworks in 2017 and had an excellent experience. Its possible they saved my vision. I scheduled my appointment and once I arrived there was a minimal wait time.The doctors that performed my eye exam are terrific. Even though I had no symptoms they identified potentially serious problems with my eyes (numerous tears & holes in both retinas), showed me the problems on a retinal image and provided with with a referral to an optometrist specialist for further evaluation and treatment. According to the doctor I was referred to, without treatment I couldve ended up with spontaneously detached retinas.The friendly, knowledgeable and courteous staff helped me narrow down the types and styles of frames that looked good and that were within my budget. Lens materials and options were also discussed along with the benefits of options like transitions lenses anti-scratch and anti-glare coatings. I never felt rushed or pressured and I was provided a wide variety of options for both my frames and lenses. I ended up with a few extra options that I used to think were scams before the benefits were explained to me. The anti-glare coating I bought has made driving at night significantly easier.The staff worked with me and my insurance plan to make sure I got the most value for my purchase. My recommendation for Visionworks in Medford could not be higher.

Terrible. Unfortunately my sons benefits dont have Lens Crafters on their list. He was stuck with this dump. We were waiting on line and the employee skipped over us. No one smiles here as if theyre working here against their will. Just to pick up glasses took an eternity. Someone should teach the staff about customer relations. As soon as I went in I smiled and said hello they just looked at me. I would rather have poor vision. Thank God I go to Lens Crafters. If you have a choice make this one your last.

How can you always be busy? 415 p.m appointment waited over 45 minutes before asking them about the time. I observed an employee talking to another opth. regarding someone who came on 30 minutes lates. How do they go in before my kids? Had to process how the service at this location sucks...sucks....sucks...I wish walmart took my insurance...

Horrible service. Called ordered contacts. Women took cc info claimed she placed order told me it would take 4-6 weeks to get them which is ridiculous to start with. I waited 2 weeks and decided to call just to chk on order. Turns out order was never even placed. Will never step foot in the place. Service is horrible. My question now is what did the girl who took my cc info do with it.
