I have been taking my 18 year old daughter here for glasses since she was 18 months old. Visionworks has a great selection of glasses and the staff have treated her like a queen since day one. They alway go above and beyond when it comes to making sure she loves her new frames, and also in helping me get the best deal and utilizing the most out of our insurance. I highly recommend this business!
No warranties. Hidden fees not found out until check out. Pushy, inaccurate sales reps. Denies your own information. Rip off. Go find a real optometrist and a store with better variety and a warranty for your several hundred dollar purchase you have to wait 2 years to replace.
Everyone there was super friendly and relaxed. From the moment I went in to the moment I left I had no bad experience whatsoever. The store was clean, well-lit, and the staff was ready to answer any questions I had. Kay in particular had a friendly and helpful attitude during the buying glasses section of my appointment.
Very first time I was in there everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and informative! I’ve been in there three whole times now and each time has be amazing and everyone has had the utmost respect and hospitality. The quality of their glasses/contacts are wonderful as well! Definitely recommend them for all your eye care needs!
The staff is excellent and efficient. The eye doctor very nice. I will never have my eyes checked anywhere else, and they do their best to save you money! ☺️
Kayla in the front office is amazing! She went out of her way to help navigate issues I was having with insurance billing and contacts. She also kept me well informed throughout the process and checked back with me multiple times! I had great experience with her!
Went there yesterday desperate for a same day exam (my only pair of glasses broke and I needed a new prescription). My insurance doesn’t cover vision so I’d been putting it off for too long bc of cost. They squeezed me in same day and even had a coupon which made it possible for me to get my glasses at all. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Front end staff went out of their way to help me. Found the right pair of frames in mere minutes. Doctor was very nice. I’m never going anywhere again. I’m forever a loyal customer after that experience. Thank you so much!
Todd, Morgan, and Kay were all super helpful and really kind! The service was very quick and efficient. Doctor Bates was thorough in making sure patients get the best possible eye care. Overall, a great place for an eye appointment and to get glasses!
Dr. Bates is a great doctor. Very thorough and practical and friendly staff. Will definitely go back.
The service was quick, efficient and friendly. The staff is welcoming and really want you to leave happy and pleased with the service they provide and the glasses you purchase. I also liked that they let me browse without following me around or constantly suggesting what they think is best for my son nand I. The best part is that they now have an Optometrist on site. Next year I will be back maybe sooner. Thanks K for your help today.
I went to Visionworks to replace the lenses in 2 pair of sunglasses I already owned. I was greeted immediately as I stepped in the door. The rep who helped me was very pleasant and friendly, and she even adjusted the tightness on one pair that didnt quite fit right. She told me they would be able to do one pair in-house but the other pair needed to be sent out. It took about 2 weeks, and upon arrival, I was texted and emailed to let me know they were ready. I picked them up and couldnt be happier. Had I read these reviews I am seeing, I probably wouldnt have come here, but as it worked out... Im very happy I did. And among all the positives, the lenses were on sale... 60% off the regular price. Now who can beat that??? Dont believe these negative reviews. This group is very professional and capable.
Manager approached in an angry fashion when questioned as to why I was refused service for my 6 year old daughter after I refused to use hand sanitizer.. there is no policy in affect for hand sanitizers.. I have a mask on and had my temperature checked upon entry.. then was denied service cause I refuse to use hand sanitizers.. the manager was very unprofessional and exhibited grotesque inappropriate behavior. I asked to speak with her manager and she threatened me with calling security.. do NOT shop at this establishment. Very unsatisfactory customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I highly recommend shopping for eye wear elsewhere.
This provider / clinic is fraudulent. My husband got a bill 9 months after the service and was being asked to pay for the portion of insurance for the contact lenses. We already paid 571 dollars upfront, they are now charging us another 245 dollars for the fee that the insurance would have paid for. I called my insurance company to ask why they denied the claim and I was told that they never received any bill from the provider. They have documentation that the only charge they billed the insurance for was the eye exam. They also didnt bill the insurance for the contact lens fitting and they told us they could have paid $60 out of the $100 dollars they charged us. Our insurance also said that they should not have charged us another $60 for the refraction because they cover that too. If they dont waive these fees that they should not have asked the patient to pay, I will report the provider to the medical board and Visionworks to BBB. Of this has happened to you I suggest you do the same. This seems to be an ongoing practice for years. Read all the reviews on Google and Yelp. This is not an isolated incident I have read other people complaining about the same issuewe were having.
Typical story I wish I would have read before going there. My husband also was railroaded into an exam he really didnt need that was supposedly covered by our insurance. We walked out after paying over $400 for exams and glasses for both of us and what we thought was a zero balance. Then almost 3 years later they turned him over to collections, never billed us or notified us of the issue. NEVER GO TO THIS STORE. We tried calling them multiple times to talk about what happened and were told they were too busy to talk to us, actually hung up on us more than once. Finally we were told that it was in collections and they wouldnt deal with us. Our insurance company also tried calling as well and was treated the same. So Merry Christmas Visionworks for a $400.00 collections bill. If I could post these reviews outside your door I would do so. But Ill settle for posting online reviews and making sure anyone I know does not visit this place.
Seriously guys, Kay is awesome!! She is super knowledgeable, extremely friendly and always has a smile on her face. Love her upbeat personality and knowhow so much that we came in for a second pair of glasses. Thank you for being you, Kay! :)
Awesome quality glasses. Great service. Very satisfied! They treated this new customer very well! They now have all my business.
Came in to get my glasses repaired and was immediately helped. My repair was no easy task but he did it in a jiffy with no charge. Did I mention I didn’t purchase them there. While I was waiting noticed a nice selection of frames. Definitely plan on returning. Thanks again for doing a great job
I needed new glasses, but being disabled makes me dread spending hours in public and I was not excited about the task. I was pleasantly surprised, though! Because of their good prices, we started at Visionworks in the mall. Destini was prompt to greet us, and swiftly showed me options for frames that best fit my face. Within 5 minutes I was sitting down as she worked on paperwork, and less than 20 minutes later, we were done! She was quick and efficient (and funny). It was seriously the best experience I’ve had out & about in a very long time. And, my glasses are super cute! Thank you for all the help Destini.
I was having issues with my eye, so my friend referred me here to see Dr. Reich. She talked so highly of her & I was SUPER ecstatic to finally see an eye doctor. Then I saw all these 1 star reviews on google & it made me a bit nervous.I finally went to my appointment, & I must say that the staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Staff would apologize about my wait time, which I didnt understand because it was very fast. When I finally saw Dr. Reich, she was extremely friendly & welcoming. She was very detailed in her work & took notes on everything I told her. When she had diagnosed me, she explained my care to me thoroughly & reassured me I would be fine if I start taking care of my eyes. I have a follow-up appointment next week. I just have to say that I will be going to Visionworks for all my eye care in the future.I really dont understand all the 1 star reviews, & after today I really felt like this place deserves SO MUCH more recognition.
I spent $400 on some scratch resistant and high grade lenses . Super overpriced lenses and frames spent like 500 the last time I was there . Drop these glasses ONE time a few months after. And HUGE scratch. The lenses actually scratch very easily. I go in to try and have them fix the lenses ..... and they want me to buy a whole new pair of glasses for another 120$. This place is just awful. No one was willing to work with me and they didnt even keep record of me buying the glasses as they stated they got a new system and new employees. Terrible place and a huge rip off.
What a great eyewear experience! The ladies helped me pick out the best frame for my face, they were quick to recognize my concerns and helped me understand the different types of lenses. I’ll be back for the adjustments they provide and when I need a new pair!
I had the best refraction I’ve ever had with the eye doctor...she was so thorough and competent! I loved her energy and care. The vision works employees were the best!!! Shelby was so helpful and really knew her job. So glad they take my insurance as well.
Kay is amazing!!!!! She was very helpful, friendly, warm and knowledgeable during our experience. Honestly, she is the only reason my wife and I would come back.
I had a great experience with the optometrist - she did such an amazing, through job! And I also enjoyed working with the woman who helped me get my glasses. She was so positive and helped me in making my choice. I’d definitely recommend them!
The minute we walked in Megan asked if she could help us. We were looking for a Ray Ban case for sunglasses. She had the perfect case! She was very nice and great customer service.
Optometrist side: I felt like I was in the twilight zone. New people every time I go in that dont know what theyre doing. The new gal couldnt work the machine and was blaming me for it. I was shuffled to every room in the place. Saw the actual doctor a couple of times in two or three different rooms. She was not concerned or even listened for that matter, to what Im comfortable with. She was too busy trying to sell me on the new contacts that she got sold on. Those, of course, were not the type that Ive been comfortable with. And one gal didnt want to give me any solution to put my contacts in. She said that you dont need it with the new technology of contacts. Obviously, not a contact wearer. Im nervous reading all these bad reviews now. Im not done yet. I still have to go back for my contact prescription and a price quote for the new contacts that she is still trying to sell me. What kind of charges am I going to end with? Ive already had to pay for my contact fitting up front, which Ive not had to do before. Ugh!
Very prompt at waiting on me when I entered store! Very pleased with my glasses purchased here that needed an adjustment. The highly recommend!
They are liars they told me that my insurance would cover the visit so I made an appointment to check my eyes and I paid my co-pay and now two years later I’m getting a bill for the full balance because they said my insurance doesn’t work with them after they had told me they do work together and now they are telling me they billed me two months after the visit but that’s a lie don’t you think I would’ve been in collections by now if I never paid them!!! Just be careful with visionworks they are liars now two years later I have a bill that I did not even know about because when I scheduled my appointment told me I was covered!!!
My husband had an appointment for 12:00 and spent the majority of his time in the waiting room finally got finished at 2:15. Redicoulous amount of time for a simple eye exam. They in my opinion are over booking and letting customers put up with the lack of efficiency. Very poorly ran. I would not recommend this optometrist.
The eye doctor they use is excellent. They however railroaded me into a eye test I told them I couldnt afford. They told me that it was covered by my insurance., it wasnt. Then they waited over 2 years to bill me. Every time I tried to complain about this they told me to call their accounting department. Never could get ahold of them. Went to collections. NEVER USE VISIONWORKS!!!!!!!!
The doctor loves to talk and so my appointment took a lot longer then planned. Then he charged me for a medical appointment even though it was just routine so I called and the billing lady was VERY rude. I still havent received my money back. I would not recommend anyone to go there!! Worst experience!
Best staff they have had in a long time. Cleaned friends glasses and they were not even there for that.I needed a screw put back in my glasses and they did it and cleaned my glasses no charge. Even changed my nose pads for free.
Wait time was absolutely ridiculous. I scheduled an eye exam and waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment and ended up leaving. Workers honestly have a smartass vibe and they treat you like youre stupid when you just want to know as much as possible about your exam or getting glasses. Theres only one doctor that actually does eye exams, otherwise I wouldnt see any other reason of why it takes so damn long and theres nobody else qualified enough to do a simple eye exam so they just sit on their asses while everyone else is waiting. I wouldnt come unless youre desperate for an appointment for the weekend otherwise save your sanity because this place sucks.
Fixed my glasses in like 2 seconds, great service. Friendly workers. Definitely coming back!
Do Not go to this eye care place or see Dr Espat Reich. Being August 2018 I just received 2 invoices, one dated 2016 and one dated 22014.The charge on the bill is for services. When asked what the service was they could not say. They then refused to take off the charges and have the audacity to tack on late fees. We did not receive any notices that we owed anything. Completely unethical and uncaring.
John was very helpful and nice. Answered all our questions and fixed glasses quickly.
The experience itself wasnt awful, but what I had to pay was outrageous. When I scheduled the eye appointment I asked if they took my insurance and if they knew if it was going to be covered. They told me that my insurance would pay for the appointment, so I didnt think to look any further into that and scheduled with them.five months after my appointment I received a bill for $180.First, they should not have told me my insurance was going to cover everything if they did not know that to be true.Second, they should have billed me right after the appointment, instead of waiting five months.Turns out the total charge was $250, and my insurance paid part of it.The $250 doesnt even include glasses, because I got those somewhere else.My insurance company said that that is an abnormally large fee for a simple eye exam.Save yourself money and confusion, go somewhere else.
Felt like a used car dealership experience. At least three times I was encouraged to not use my insurance. She explained that it would be a better deal to just use their buy one get one free deal. She kept pushing this without even knowing what my insurance benefits were. (They are good). I pushed through this, insisting on using my insurance. While looking through their selection of glasses, I could hear another sales associate pushing the exact same thing, even harder, on a different customer. They obviously get a bonus or spiff for doing this.I found a glass frame that I liked. Sat down with a different associate to finalize the transaction. When it came to the lens selection, she tried pitching me on the fact that their grey lenses (for sunglasses) required a service protection plan to be added on (out of pocket). But if I choose their less popular Brown lens, no service protection plan would be required. What the ?? is what I was thinking. Rip off. Again, Im sure they get bonused for these add ons and shenanigans. I walked out. Horrible cheesey feeling business experience. AVOID.
Wife had an appointment at 11:30. Spent 2 hours to make sure the contacts fitted. Doctor failed to listen to my wife in regards to the contacts then the price of the contacts doubled. Will not be returning to this doctor again.
Everyone here is super helpful and friendly! They are knowledge and have awesome products!
Vision works is fine to get glasses from but the eye doctor inside vision works is horrible. The billing manager is very rude and treats people like they are stupid. The doctors do not explain conditions that you end up being charged for. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because there isnt a no star option. What ever you do stay away from this office unless you want charges you didnt know about on your bill, and incomplete diagnosis. Also it was almost a year before the I found out about the charge.
I have had my glasses fix twice here, both times fast and efficient.
I was in the store today & Purchased 2 pairs of glasses, I was told the first time they would be ready at 5:30 & then I was told a second time that they would be ready at 7 pm.. WaitTime is horrible, I was told a total for the anti glare and scratch resistant for both pairs of glasses and then told a different amount . Due to the inconsistency of price I had no choice but to go with the basic lenses because for me to purchase the others it was basically 100 more. I will never recommend anyone to purchase glasses here.
Kay was such a joy to work with this morning!! She is awesome!!
Thank you soooo much! I can see again! Great staff great products great price! Thank you
Be VERY careful if you decide to do business with this optometrist / eye glass provider. The billing practices of Dr. Shajida Espat Reich & Associates, PC, also know as Master Eye Associates, also affiliated with VisionWorks in the Rogue Valley Mall, are extremely questionable. My wife was in for an exam and new eyeglasses on 10/31/2015. At that time, my wife was told that her insurance would be billed, and she paid $69.00: $39.00 for a test that would not be covered, and a $30 copay. She also paid $370 out of pocket for two pairs of glasses. Now 3 Years and 126 Days LATER (on 3/5/2019) we received a Certified Letter containing a Demand for Payment of Debt for $450. My wifes exams were not covered by her insurance (as she had been told they would be), and $225 in Late Fees, Collection Fees, Administrative Fees, and Certified Mail fees had been tacked on to the bill. We were never once contacted prior to this to be informed that our insurance had not covered the exams, and that a balance was still owed on my wifes account. There were multiple attempts to contact my wife over the phone during this time to schedule more appointments, but no mention was ever made of an oustanding balance on her account. When we contacted the Billing number listed on the Demand for Payment of Debt, the lady I spoke with claimed a statement had been mailed on 11/23/2015, and that we had paid an additional $25.00 at that time. When I asked for proof of that $25.00 payment (as I could not locate that anywhere in our financial records, and we had not received a statement), the lady retracted her statement, and stated the $25.00 was actually part of the $69.00 paid on October 31st, and was the co-pay - they had just done an internal transfer within their accounting system. While I was able to get the company to waive the $149.95 Collection Fee (because I was paying the amount not covered by insurance before they turned over the balance to a credit collection service), they would not waive the remaining $100 in fees, which is infuriating. These fees amount to this companys lack of communication and poor insurance billing/telling customers their insurance will cover it/accounts receivable practices.Read the other reviews on Google, Yelp, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and you will see the problem we experienced with this company/provider is not isolated. Their billing practices are horrible. We will never utilize Master Eye Associates, Dr. Shajida Espat Reich & Associates, PC, nor VisionWorks ever again.IF you decide to go here:DO ensure you personally verify your insurance is accepted at this provider, directly with your insurance carrier. Otherwise, prepare to be surprised with a bill years later, with many fees tacked on, that is days away from being turned over to a collection agency, with no prior communication. Had we known about these charges being denied by insurance, we would have used our Flex Spending account to pay for them.
Was Trying to get a receipt for Insurance company to reimburse me ..It ended in security mall officer taking a report, signed a paper that he didnt see me being any way out of order they are charging me 35.00 for a copy of my eye exam report.Absolutely horrible experience I called Corporate on these people. .Bad business.
Great staff great products! Recommend anyone get glasses here!!!
First time ever needing glasses, so no clue where to start. Shelby was awesome, helped me pick something out, that would be covered by my insurance, and I never felt pushed or pressured like the other place.
Thanks guys good product and helpful staff
I was sure that my problem would be ignored, but I was wrong. The two young ladies at the front desk checked my glasses after I had a problem with a lens. They referred me to Brad the lens tech in the back. Brad examined my lens, saw a possible issue and ordered a new lens! They had every opportunity to take the easy way out on this issue but they totally took care of me. As long as they carry glasses that I like, I see no reason to go anywhere else.
Horrible customer service! The guy who works here hes really rude !!! Seat here about an hour and he take care of everybody but he kept ignoring me . DO NOT recommend this place at all !!!
Kristyan was fast, friendly and very helpful!
Very helpful in making frame decisions
READING THESE REVIEWS ALREADY SAVED ME SEVERAL DOLLARS AS WELL AS HRS OF TIME, I LIVE 100 + MILES FROM THIS STORE.UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE POOR ALTERNATIVES HERE ALSO!
No doctor to get my daughter renewed for her glasses how pathetic
Average wait time for both my appointments scheduled at different times of the day was +45 min after the scheduled time. Everything was rushed, the doctor left before I could finish asking questions, and I was given the wrong contacts twice.
Excellent service and fine quality
I have stopped in at Vision Works for help more than once. One time my glasses frame was very bent. Another time a lens had fallen out. The customer service was friendly and both times my problem was fixed for free.
This place sucks, rude service, wont covery warranty issues. They just dont see.
Friendly, helpful efficicient staff
Great staff, very friendly!
Great customer service!
The only reason they get one star is because you have to do that to write a review! !!!Irritating as crap when youre told to have a seat they will be with you NEXT ...So I politely wait and watch while they take other customers ahead of me!!!!!That way we had something to talk about when they finally got to me!!!!!Customer service is a lost commodity! !!!
Screw fell out of my glasses, they replaced the screw and cleaned them up for free!
There customer service sucks!!
