Greg at the front was very helpful, precise/straight to what I wanted and needed. No going around or trying to sell me something I didn’t need.Without an appointment, I “waited” for my car maybe 2.5 hours. Considering there were several people ahead of me, that’s pretty quick. Also, I should add that it was estimated my car wouldn’t be ready until 5 and it was ready around 1.Thank you again gentlemen! I’ll be back
StephAnie, who worked at check in/out window was not greeted me, thanked me for trusting you and she even wished me a good day after I just spend $500 dollars in your shop.I had to return to ask for someone to put my spare tire back sun e I can not lift heavy things due to back problems. I was told that no one in the shop hAs even teo minutes to help me. She told me to come tomorrow so someone might help. How she coldly said that is something I did not appretiate at all.I would never recomend this shop to anyone due to their lack of basic hospitality.
Great customer service. They said two hours, and they delivered!
Very rude! Made me feel like they not only could care less if I used their services but that they didnt want me to? When the conversation started I thought he was going to be nice and helpful but once I told him what I needed he was just like and your gonna leave your car with me, right? Because Im gonna need and how and half or two hours! For a tire replacement??? He didnt smile, he was not helpful, it was like he eat gonna do whatever he could for me NOT TO USE their services. 🤦♀️🤷♀️
I was very impressed with my visit. The gentle men at the desk was kind enough to let use the bathroom. I had to go. Lol
Do not get alignments here!! Fortunately (I think) I didnt pay for it - it came free with a tire purchase. So the 2nd star is for value... they had a good price on the tire I wanted and the mounting is satisfactory. But the alignment... it was very noticeably off when I left their shop, but it was closing time and I was ready to get home. I called and found out that the alignment was warrantied for 90 days, so I took it back in. Check out the pic of driving on the straight interstate on the way home. Actually, I drove straight from Pep Boys to the dealership to get it straightened out. The guys there were amazed... it was a MILE off. I wish I could recommend Pep Boys for everything since their prices were fair and they warranty their work, but I have to warn against it! Cheaper isnt always better!
I just left my local dealership from having a simple tire rotation and oil change. On the expressway driving home my car was shaking so bad and unable to turn back around as the car was loosing control. I pulled off at the nearest exit. To find out that my drivers side rear tire was not securely on all of the lugs were loose. Just in time as they were closing. My Angel Stevie found the tire was seconds away from coming off completely. If it wasnt for your company being close by and this gentleman I would have been in an major accident. I have not been a customer before but highly recommended you!!
Never wil I use them again on 3/25 took my 2006 Ford Escape in because my check engine light was on. After they check my vehicle I needed over 1200 dollars worth of work done, I said ok also include a front end alignment. After I left the garage I noticed my steering wheel was off center. I took it back and after they checked it they said it can not be aligned unless I purchase a part. I said you didnt see that when you change me for alignment just give me my car back. After I left my steering wheel was line upNow Im wondering what else they changed me for and did not do.
Always knows their stuff.fast
I broke down right up the road and they got me in same day. Very nice and helpful staff. I had a front cv axle replaced. Their parts are really expensive like $240 compared to $80 everywhere else. But they let me get my own Only reason I gave 4 stars
I went in to get my oil changed and while they did try and sell me a bunch of add-ons I only stuck with the oil change. It was very quick and reasonably priced compared to other places. It was very quick which I loved!
They were professional and courteous. they made an effort to get me in and fix my tire. they did not rip me off or try to upsell me. the did me a HUGE favor. i will buy my tires from them when i need them A+++++ you guys did a great job!!!
The service was a little slower than I expected. Should not take over two hours to get two tires changed.Must be why they have a now hiring sign posted.
💯 #greatcustomer appreciation for their consumers also a big thank you to Stephanie for taking care of my safety and tire needs.. Everyone at Pep Boys St. MATHEWS ARE AWESOME..
Fast, got me back on the road fast. 30 minutes. Thanks
Cannot say enough about the gentlemen employed here! Long story short, I was making an emergency trip from Buffalo NY to Henderson TN. Rear driver blew the sidewall out. Store was due to close at 8pm, this was 7:30pm and 21 miles on the freeway with a donut away from them. Gave me clear, concise directions from where I was. Pulled in at 7:50 to find the correct size pulled and ready for mount. Those boys not only waited for me to get there but stayed after closing to take care of me AND check my other 3! Definitely recommend to any person traveling through! They are AMAZING!!!! Btw this is the blown tire 😳
Had an appointment for an oil change. Someone else had an appointment for the same time so they had to wait on mine because I arrived 1st. Hopefully that didnt effect the service of my vehicle because it was the fastest oil change Ive ever received from this place.
Called to make an appointment and had them installed no problem. The manager in the store was fun to work with and very laid back while being respectful of the mask wearing and social distancing.
Wonderful quotes me a price for a tire so they gave me a tire that was 30.00 more since they didnt have the one I was going to get.Fast and Efficient. Great customers service.
8.04.20 UPDATE. This location no longer has auto part retail offering, only service and repair shop.Excellent service and plenty of the right items one can need for car repair, preventive maintenance and detailing.Easy parking in plaza. And good service team. Good pricing and honest service team.
Would have give ZERO but no way to do it.....they have NOTHING in their store just does repairs and that has to be limited.....no stock on parts
Friendly staff and legitimate prices.
The staff are very polite and ensure that your experience is pleasant. My starter went out and they fixed my car without an appointment. I will definitely be back!
Customer service was good.. service time is longer than what I expected
We highly recommend this place!!My husband and I live in Mississippi, we were traveling on a Saturday all the way from Ohio when we had a flat, well actually our tire got literally torn on a busy freeway and if it would’ve not been because of Steven tending to us 10 minutes before 8:00 pm we would have been stuck in Louisville!!!Thank you Steven, thank you guys!!Y’all have an awesome costumer service!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
IF YOU ARE A SINGLE FEMALE DON’T GO HERE! They charge so much for their services and when I tried to talk about warranty and making sure I get it fixed correctly they kept charging me more. They didn’t even fix it correctly the first time and charged me even more! Make sure you’re husband goes here for you, and make sure he’s stern and smart about cars. They take advantage of young women!
Our tire blew on 64 tonight and we were towed to this location right before closing time. Tony and Gregory worked together to make sure we got out of there safely and paid a reasonable price for our tire. They both were very accommodating and professional. Thank you for squeezing us in at closing. We really appreciate you.
I came in to have my alternator replaced on my car after having it diagnosed. I prefer to do upkeep on my car myself and buy my own parts, so I provided my own alternator and asked for it to be replaced. About the only halfway decent thing that Donny, the customer service rep, said to me was informing me that there would be no warranty by using my own part and I told him I understood. Other than this, he was very rude with me and acted as if I were wasting his time. Had it been just the one interaction, I would understand, but as soon as I gave him the keys, he acted as if I did not exist. I waited for a moment to see if he would tell me when my car would be ready, but said nothing. I received no call about my car and had to call back a day later to find out it was ready to be picked up.Donny was there again and seemed just as annoyed the second time to help me. I let him know I was there to pick up my car and told him the year, make, and model. He stared at me for a minute and all he said was Name? Typically, I could care less about how people address me, but the way this man said it and spoke to me was just flat out rude and disrespectful.Pep Boys took care of my alternator and my baby is back up and running and I am thankful, but if that is the kind of personality I am going to be met with (especially from a customer service representative), I rather pay someone else twice as much to do so than return here.
I have been going for years. I had stopped using them because they were suppose to be closing. Glad to hear they are going to stay open in this location. They didnt try to upsell me and talk me into work not needed.Very professional and pleasent.
Took car for oil change. Few days later car began to make loud noise like something dragging ground. Called them back they were rude and didnt act professionally. Decided to have noise checked somewhere else. The place checked ithe noise and told me im 1 1/2 quart low on oil and oil is very dirty. Went back to pep boys they refunded me the $56 for oil change refuse the $94 that i spent on oil change and engine clean out. After 2 days noise was gone . Corporate called and was rude not professional. He told me that camera showed i had oil change and he said n o we not paying for that. He said the oil wasnt dirty. I asked him did he see it and he wouldnt answer. So i knew where this was going and hung up. You dont talk customers that way. I will not use pep boys again and anyone else beware.
Could have been better if their servors were working properly
Avoid Pep Boys!I had an 8am appointment to install 4 tires, which I had purchased on Pepboys.com with installation. The website said the tires were instock and I called to check the day before appointment and confirmed the tires were in stock. However, when I got there the tires were being shipped from Indianapolis and there was a 2 hr delay. When the tires were finally installed, I left and the car drove poorly. It was very unstable on an interstate onramp. I went back and they said they needed to reset the stability system, which means they never test drove the car after installing the tires. Also, while I was there I witnessed them lock the keys in another customers car. After completing a survey with low marks, the manager called me (which is the only good thing I have to say), however, he proceeded to tell me the poor service wasnt their fault.I will never go there again.
Great job on AC Serv for 2006 car. Ice cold air now! 😁
My vehicle was throwing a check engine and abs code so I pulled in to have it checked. A nice young lady was glad to help. While she was trying to do so her manager Gregory Goodwin stepped in almost argumentatively and in a very rude tone saying that the reader would not tell us anything about the abs code. That it would cost $120 to hook up and check the abs. I said that was fine I’d still like to have her run the codes to see what the other was. After she ran it and it said nothing about the abs he continued on about needing to use the other machine and walked away as I was trying to ask if we could do that. I was willing to pay the $120 to find the problem until he continued to be rude and walked away as I was trying to ask. I commented to the young lady about his rudeness and she apologized for him. Also mentioned he always steps in when she’s trying to help anyone. Will not be back and will be contacting customer service as well. Funny that other reviews also mention this rude service manager. Maybe it’s time to consider some corrective action? Currently sitting at the Meineke right around the corner with friendly service folks and guess what, they aren’t charging $120 to check a code.
Said they would mount camper tires, doing it in record time. Thankfully, because we are broke down on the freeway.
They were kind an took care of my needs promptly.
Store inside is closed...only service
They had excellent service and finished up my cars repairs quickly. I was very appreciative when the time frame they gave me was accurate, and the car was fixed well. I noticed a good mix of male and female employees, which honestly made me a little more comfortable. There are so many horror stories of women my age being ripped off because they dont look like they know what theyre talking about. I never felt like the employees here were speaking down to me, and they were actually willing to do the work for less than anywhere else I searched. It was a very positive experience, and thats coming from someone who HATES getting work done on her car.
Service manager Mike on Breckenridge was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me to address issues with used car that I bought, without totally breaking the bank. Craig was also very kind to help when my car stopped running in parking lot. I even got to know most of the cashiers on retail side, who all are very accommodating even when doing returns..
TERRIBLE customer service
The staff was a great bunch of employees. They really helped me out and I will be back. Thanks
Clean store, friendly and helpful employees. I had trouble finding transmission fluid (back of the store next to oil to the left my own fault) has many items to choose from and can order products for you if they do not have them in stock. Does sell tires as well. Somewhat easy access and generous parking.
I will never go there again! had a 4:00 appointment for a basic oil change. I arrived a few minutes before 4:00. I walked out of there at 6:20! Still with only a basic oil change. How does a 20-30 minutes job take almost 2.5 hours! No one ever told me they were running behind or sorry for the inconvenience. Why make an appointment when my 9yr old son and I still have to sit and wait for over 2 hours! Yes the price was good, but not the service at all!
Every time Ive been there the manager, Mike, has gone out of his way to help me understand the minor repairs Ive encountered with my vehicle. Friendly, timely service and competitive pricing makes PepBoys my go-to for basic service.
I have gone to Pep Boys time and gain for more than five years for convenience sake although I was suspicious that they were not very honest. It was not too long ago, however, that I realized it is time to say good bye, and I dont regret a bit. I went to repair my seat belt. Instead they replaced the serpentine belt. When asked to remove the belt and refund my 750 dollar--they charged me 750 for turn signal switch, serpentine belt, and tire rotation--they gave back 400. They ended up charging me 350 for turn signal switch and tire rotations. A friend of mine later told me that turn signal switch cost about $30. What a cheap cheat. I should have called a lawyer but . . . I will never, ever go back there. If anyone is skeptical about what I am saying, I can upload the receipts. And yes, Pep Boys, if you are reading this and question my integrity, I can upload the receipt. But I must mention that there is one worker who is extremely nice (I dont know his name). Once they messed up my car when changing the oil and the engine started smoking while running the next day. When I took the car the following day, he told the cashier not to charge anything because it was their mistake (I didnt know that they messed up, and would not have known if he had not told me). He is to be commended, but my overall experience with this shop is very disappointing.
Recently, I needed a battery for my Prius. My usual service location would not assist me. Pep Boys had the 12v battery in stock, at a great price and installed it quickly. Since then we have had oil changes and tire rotations and a new alternator there. The staff has been great, friendly and very helpful. Today, I had 2 tires, front brakes and alignment. The price was better than my other center and the additional on-line coupons helped even more. I worked with Dave and Chris. They were both extremely helpful in making sure I got exactly what I needed at a great price and as quickly as possible. Plus, the rewards card has already gotten me free service.Thank you Dave and Chris, we will definitely be back.
The average cost of replacing a wheel stud according to the internet runs between $90 - $300. Just had mine replaced for about $55. Michael and the people working at Pep Boys were great. I will definitively use them again.
Mike was awesome. Very professional. Attended to exactly what we needed and was very knowledgeable. Thanks for the new tires guys. I will be back!
My wife took her company car in for an oil change. When she dropped off the car everything was fine, no warning lights etc. When she went to pick up the car the check engine light was on. She talked to the person who did the work and he said the light was on when she came in which was a lie. He did read the code and told her that she could drive the car but the light would continue to come on. He was also unable to reset the oil change needed warning on the dash. My wife then brought the car home. I checked the codes and they indicated a problem with the evaporator valve. I checked the hose by the throttle body to make sure it hadnt been knocked loose which is a pretty common problem and then discovered someone had deliberatly cut the wires going to the sensor. This was definitely not an accident. I then called Pep Boys and asked for the service manager and was told he was out so I asked for whomever was in charge. I was connected to another manager. I explained the situation and informed him that we would be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to which he said wasnt concerned as they had other complaints and it wasnt a big deal. I reset the oil change needed warning light and made a temporary repair to the wiring and my wife will now take the car to the dealer and have the Pep Boys damage properly repaired.
Took my car in to see if a tire could be plugged. I know that I will need new tires soon; however, I explained that I was not in the market for new tires at this time. Got a call explaining the tire could not be repaired (due to wear and safety reasons) and a suggestion to purchase some of their always on sale tires. Told them I was not interested and returned to pick up my car. The next day, I was able to get my tire repaired at a local BIG-O TIRES store for a minimal charge - and Ive been cruising along just fine ever since.
Won’t be going back. Have been here happily several times. Most recent was treat terrible by the service manager. Rude, unprofessional; tosses my keys in the counter at me. Never made eye contact. Never truly spoke to me. Just kinda hollered at me and one of his worker. Didn’t perform services as supposed to. I hope they changed my oil, cause they most certainly didn’t rotate my tires as they said they did. Nor did they look at my tire I asked them to examine because it keeps leaking air. Unacceptable. I will be trying somewhere else in the future.
Top notch service.
First of all, this was BY FAR the absolute worst customer service i have ever received. I had my car towed to Pep Boys on Breckenridge Lane because it was the closest place at the time. When they finally looked at my car the next day, they stated that my car wouldn’t start (which is why it was towed there, clearly) and they did not know if I needed a new starter or not, but they were going to put a new one on anyways. After that, they decided it was my alternator. So, $900 later, I’m finally leaving. Both of those parts have a lifetime warranty on them. So, here we are, a little over a month later, my alternator goes out again and my car turns on and off WHILE I AM DRIVING. I had it towed back to be fixed. Manger stated that he ran a diagnostics test on it and it was fine and so was my starter. He stated it was my battery and that I had nothing anchoring my battery down (which was not once mentioned during my first visit because he stated that he assumed that wasn’t the issue) Little did he know, i JUST got a new battery 2 months prior, so it was not my battery. He told he would call and see how much an anchor would be for my battery. He told he it would be another $700 dollars for the battery tray and labor and would not give me a copy of my diagnostics test that was ran. He stated that he put two plastic containers on each side of my battery to hold it in place (HE JIMMY RIGGED MY VEHICLE!!!!!!) until he could order the parts i needed. I told him he would not be ordering that part for me and that i would not be paying more money to fix the issue he was supposed to fix the first time. Absolutely ridiculous. I took my car to another automotive business, and they stated that my alternator was not functioning properly. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!
I normally go to do my uber and Lyft inspection to this location and today I went to do the inspection and the wanted me to change a bulb that’s not even required by Uber or Lyft and they said if I don’t change that they will fail the inspection and for that bulb 9.99 and labor 9.99 that bulb you can buy it at auto zone for $2 and they will install it free and they just robbed me,poor customer service.i will never recommend anyone this locationNext day someone asks me to send my contact details on this review but now its been 2 weeks no one didnt contact me or try to solve this
They are crooked!!! I took my vehicle in for a uber inspection which is only supposed to cost $24, Rick the mechanic came back out and said that I had six signal lights out, I checked all my lights before I took my vehicle to this place and I only had a reverse light and a tag light out also I watched Rick the mechanic drive my vehicle into the garage Bay and I saw my third brake light working and it came on thats one of the lights he tried to say he had to replace because it was burned out which was a lie, the manager Edward when I confronted him about it he took the mechanics side, anyway they are nothing but Crooks at The Pep Boys on Breckenridge Lane I would not recommend them at all unless you want to pay more than what you really have to because they want to lie and rob customers!!!!
Went in for an inspection for Lyft, the older black gentleman is very rude and does not acknowledge when your standing there. Stood there waiting for 15 minutes before the older white gentleman said that hell be with me shortly. That didnt happen. ( he was struggling helping someone on the phone and working the computer. The only advice the black guy gave him was to make it easier for himself and told him to click on something). I feel that if you obviously knew how to help the person on the phone switch with him so he can help me with something that takes 2 minutes to schedule. Mind you I was the only person standing there with three people at the computers. The third person ended up going back outside. This is getting long, I hate this location.
Large selection of all things auto. People to help you find what you need. They also have a full service garage. Large free parking lot.
Very Grateful. They were able to replace my tire so I could continue my trip home.
Bought two new tires and they arent balanced correctly. Vibration when driving on the highway.Youd think balancing would be something theyd focus on when installing two rear tires.Tire pressure light has been on since I left.Never going back.
Scheduled a Lyft inspection, got right in when I arrived and they completed pretty quickly. Only downfall was the price was double what I was quoted at another location. The staff were all professional and courteous.
I had a mixed experience at this Pep Boys location. I went in to get some work done on my car and pick up some new wipers and an engine filter for my car. The guys that got me into the shop for the repairs were great, but one incident with a gentleman named Greg ruined my whole visit and is the reason Im giving the store one star. I wont go into it much beyond saying it was the rudest Ive ever been treated by a customer service representative. If youre looking for a good experience at this Pep Boys, you might find it, but I wouldnt risk it.
Pep Boys is the BEST!
Low prices and good variety, but alas all sales are final.
Rude cashier did not greet me as a customer more interested in asking questions about my address and phone number than if I found all I was looking for. Its unlikely that I will return.Return visit much more of the same should have stuck to my original plan of not returning. Manager really should address the cashiers lack of interest a good place to start would be the removal of her cell phone.
My experience with this place has been great quick service and prices are great. They dont try to over sell you other repairs that arent needed like Ive seen at other smaller mechanics.
Update (9/20/16)I just took a city bus to Pep Boys because they called to say they FINALLY put a replacement wheel on the car, but the problem now is that they didnt bother to CHECK TO SEE IF IT FIT, so when the tech tried to back away from the lift it dragged. Wouldnt hardly turn at all, and actually scratched the inside of the rim because it is smack against the ball joint.I REPEAT... THEY DIDNT EVEN CHECK TO SEE IF THE WHEEL FIT TO REPLACE THE WHEEL THEY BROKE IN THE FIRST PLACE.So now Im sitting in their waiting area on an Uber (which Ive had to use TWICE and bum rides just to get to and from work, and Ive actually had to miss a day because of all this), and all because, AGAIN, they werent PAYING ATTENTION to what they were doing!!IM BEYOND PISSED!!I will most certainly be contacting a lawyer about this, Pep Boys.Originally posted on 9/16/16Have you ever seen the Ron White bit about how he had his tires changed and one of his wheels fell off? Well its not so funny when it happens to you while going 60 on the freeway. I had a tire replaced by these guys about a week ago, and apparently they had over-torqued three of my lug nuts, shattering two of the studs, and under-torqued the other two, causing them to just slide off the threading. A week later (last night, 9/16/16) the wheel failed under load, and a lone over-torqued nut barely kept the wheel on the car, allowing me to manage to get out of harms way. It turns out that they have damaged my custom wheel because the stud holes have elongated, so now theyre going to have to replace my entire wheel.I came in with a flat tire, and left with a damaged wheel that nearly came off in busy highway traffic...Pep Boys could have killed me or someone else on the road.
My son was stuck with a disabled car out of town . The staff was very helpful and worked very well with me to get him back on the road. I wish I remembered the service persons name to give him credit. Great customer service and couldnt be more grateful!
They know there stuff and usually have coupons. They do good work, but the price is high. If youre in a pinch or need work on the weekends definitely go here.
Terrible customer service. They are so rude and act as if they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Its by far the worst customer service I have seen in a while. I was going to buy 4 new tires, but took my business elsewhere. They guy who waited on me was training someone and you could tell even he was floored by the way his trainer spoke to me. I will not be returning.
Where is the place to give 0 stars. Took my car to them after Auto Zone showed a knock sensor that needed replaced.... Stephanie calls me and tells me I need a new engine and Im dumping raw fuel in my exhaust!. Oh but they do that type of work.So I had to pay money to have it towed to get the work done because I was un safe to drive.Funny Kia Preston just called I ONLY NEEDED A KNOCK SENSOR ITS READY FOR PICK UP!!!
Great experience the tech working on my truck was great! The counter guy was good too! All in all nice staff and pleasant visit
Greg the manager sold my wife different tires than she wanted and then wouldnt refund installation. I asked why and he replied we dont even carry the tire she asked for. Was very un- knowledgeable on tires features and warranties had to look everything up even though it was supposedly inumber one seller. I now remember why I never use pep boys. DISCOUNT TIRE PREVAILS AGAIN!!!
The work is good and fast people know their job but sad to say fixing cars today and get it don one thing i would dDi
I was very disappointed in the service I received. I took my car there to get it looked at for Lyft. I scheduled an appointment and it took them 4 hours to do a simple look over. I was never given a time frame for completion other than hopefully well get to it sometime before we close even though I dropped it off at 10am. I did not feel that my time was respected at all.
I made an appointment online, but whenever I arrived for my appointment they made it out to be a big deal for it being so late. Otherwise service was good. It took around 40 minutes for an oil change.
I am somewhat disappointed because I was quoted one price when I dropped my car offbut was charged something TOTALLY different. The tires were not the ones I asked for. It took 30 minutes to correct the situation as far as pricing.
I purchased tires here (got a great deal). However, the service I have received since then (rotate and balance) has been awful. My last visit, I asked for a rotate and balance, and a brake check. They rotated, said they balanced, and didnt write anything about the brakes. The employee said shed call me the next day with information about the brakes. No call the next day. And I drove the car home and the front end was shaking.Took the car back the next week. Asked specifically for just a balance since the tires were rotated the weekend prior. (And a brake check since they didnt do it last time I asked).Almost two hours later (even though there was no wait), they finished. Still no brake information on the ticket. I checked the tires, and they rotated them despite my specific instruction. Had them take the car back in and un rotate them. The shop guy left the car on the lift, walked out in front of me, and got in his buddys car and left. I had to ask the front desk about my car since the mechanic just left without talking to anyone.Despite a good price on the original tires, the service is just awful!
As a white woman, this is the last place to go for help or assistance. The clerks look at you. If you dont have items in your hand for checking out, they disappear. If you get someone to acknowledge you dont expect them to be willing to discuss the vehicle issue. Accept that you will be told, well, I dont expect you to understand when you ask a question to their, I dont think thats the problem statement.Thank you Auto Zone, you listened, assisted, and the situation was resolved in less than 30 minutes. I only spent an hour at Pep boys without any resolution.
Got a phone quote for 120 apiece on my tires, drove 35 miles to get them put on, when I got there they wanted 40 apiece to mount and balance them, they gave me a cheap price to get me there, then basically doubled the price in ad ons and markups. Bought the tires and paid another shop 15 apiece to mount and balance. No one in the store looked happy to be there.
Be prepared to wait an Ungodly amount of time.Every 30 minutes they tell me its gonna be another 30 minutes or 15 minutes. After 2.5 hours my tire still wasnt changed. At this rate I should never need a tire change again.I was hesitant to leave a bad review after just one visit but this is my 3rd time here because its closest to my house but its consistantly terrible.
Worst service possible. I bought a set of tires online to be picked up at the store. They didn’t have the tires on the pick up day, telling me to wait a couple of days for another store to deliver them to the one by my house. After going there a second time, they tell me that none of the stores have the tires I bought! False Advertisement. Didn’t give me a discount or anything nor gave me a solution, they just canceled the order.
Good deal at Christmas. If not I wouldnt buy here.
Service attempted to overcharge me $150 for an alternator. Check their website against the part quote they give you. Also service is incredibly slow. Took them three “labor” hours to install a battery/alternator and they had my car for 24 hours.
Service was terrible after waiting 5 minutes behind one customer, I had about $50 worth of stuff at the counter that the cashier rang up, I seen one of my of items was higher than I seen advertise on the shelf. So I told cashier the price difference and when I went to the shelf to verify price and came right back my cashier decided to look at some other guys car part instead of finishing my order and told me to get in another cashier line to complete my order, in which I was going to have to wait behind someone else again when I was already at the finsh with him. News flash CSR I was your customer first you should have checked that price for me and completed my sale. Not brush me to the back of another cashier line cause I was gone a few seconds. Dont worry I wont be back!
When I tried to buy a part for my car, the cashier only offered me an option that was almost double the price of one quoted somewhere else and only offered the lower priced item when I asked. Way to try and gouge. I wont be going back.
They were very helpful and efficient. Very good place for car repairs.
Great place for getting car batteries installed. Order online to get the best prices. Friendly staff.
The only good thing was that they had our tires.. and since we couldnt get the 4th tire free they gave us a 10% discountCustomer service is appalling. Go to Michel tires (tires plus) for whatever you need!!! Not This Place.
The store has a pretty good selection of all kinds of parts and accessories, but the repair shop seems to be permanently understaffed. Theres over a dozen car repair docks in their garage, but theres only ever one mechanic thats actually qualified to do whatever repair you need.
Quick services for car repair works here. Dont expect A plus quality that you would overpay for at the dealership. Oil changes, tires and other routine maintenance works well here.
Pep Boys for me is like the gas station... You know you have to go yet you hate it anyways. This particular location does a lot of business and has a Speed Shop which I am not interested in but you can tell that a lot of customers and cars go in and out of here every day. I have been there twice in the month of October both times they have done what I wanted yet I was never greeted or felt welcome there. Both times I went to get an Uber inspection after my first attempt the associate Michael had told me to come back within 90 days to get the inspection redone free of charge. Going back a second time was hard enough but I assumed that it would be free and when it wasnt I was met with such hostility from Michael again that I felt like it was a scam. I hope to never return but I will be finding a different mechanic shop hopefully not a Pep Boys. The experience while I didnt expect it to be memorable was not one where I felt comfortable and I can understand why this particular location gets such low reviews. and as long as Michael is the liaison between the customers and the mechanics it will continue to get poor reviews. Two stars because they did what I needed at a reasonable price.
Lady was very kind and knowledgeable.
Good customer service and prices. Recently bought my Continental tires from here and I love them.
The guys were really nice about helping me pick out a windshield wiper blade. Mike even went out into the cold to replace mine for me. I was in and out in like 15 minutes.
Appointment means nothing! You still have to wait for hours before your car is worked on.
Created an appointment to have tires installed. Checked my truck in and sat down.3 hours later I asked why my truck still has not moved. Oh well they must have forgot about it. For finally they pulled it in. The tech was rather nice younger inexperienced tech. Must have been why he only does tires. Tiny was his name. He was anything from tiny. But he is trying to earn a living! So when he was finished about 2 hours later.I asked him if he did the oil change.. and you already know the answer to this one..So it was pulled back in.. then they pull the truck back out again.. so I asked about the alignment. They said they couldnt do an alignment on it.. as the shock tower was messed up.. I knew it was on its way out. But it finally went out.. But I explained to them that it has brand new tie rods on the front end and the alignment is way off.. the they didnt really care.. thats when I started bitching.I told them to just take the tires off. Cause I wasnt going to destroy a brand new 1000$ set of tires.. they agreed to set the toe..Ok. So like 10 minutes later.. they pull the truck back out.. this time with cell phone picture of the computer screen saying the alignment (toe) was in...This was about a month ago. I have replaced both spring towers. And I will be taking it in for them to complete the rest of the alignment. How ever I WILL NOT be going back to this location.NO ONE there seemed one bit worried about customer service.NO ONE there attempted to see why my truck Sat for 3 hoursNO ONE seemed to give on fu*k about me.They DID care about selling 1000$ worth of tires.Also. I told them I wanted to keep old tires...They removed valve stems. They charged me for tire disposal.So. I was charged to haul away tires I kept. And still drive away with old ass valve stems. This site is a joke.
The mechanic was wonderful.. Our truck broke down on Saturday. He had up and running by Sunday at noon.. Thank you
I had a bracket on my alternator break last Saturday and had to have the car towed here. they told me theyd get the parts and give me a price on Monday, when they called me back they gave me the price estimate for the parts and labor ($648 total) and that the parts would be in and the car would be fixed by Thursday. It is now Friday and none of the parts have arrived, forcing me to have rented a car for who knows how long costing a couple hundred dollars, and they cannot fix it. pretty unsatisfactory results so far..i dont plan on coming back here.. id rather go across the river to the Clarksville location.
Had a timing belt break on a Mazda Miata. Pep boys had a tow service bring the car to their shop which was covered by them. What surprised me was, they had It done the next day. They had replace the timing belt, the water pump, valve cover gasket, and at my request the battery and battery lugs. After taking it down the block, it was running perfect even better than before. They certainly seem to have some very good mechanics. If they could just clean the car afterwards I would give them a 5.
