This place has been an iconic part of downtown. I will be pained to see it go and be anything else. Hearing they closed 2 months ago, lets hope whatever comes here is just as awesome π

He worked with me as much as humanly possible & while we waited for paper work he gave us a full tour of the dealership and the guy himself is VERY knowledgeable on the history of the building. Came here with a vandalized car and got top notch, I mean top notch service from Gary and Cameron in the paint department. I own a 2018 Malibu but let me tell you they treated me like this was a 100,000 Escalade. I give them 10 stars for the service me and my wife received. I bought my vehicle there and was told I would have free oil changes for life. I go in a few months ago and they informed me.no more free oil changes. Every time I went in there they said I needed this or that but their prices were so high and a lot of their service was unnecessary. I believe thats why they discontinued the free oil changes. I wouldnt go for their high prices . I guess if youre good with throwing money away Id recommend them.

I drive a Cadillac SRX and needed auto body work done after an accident. Brown Bros Cadillac gave me a fair quote, worked great with my insurance company, and was very accommodating. My car looks like new! I hesitated to deal with a downtown auto place but now wish I had originally purchased my car there instead of the east end Cadillac location. Tried to purchase a car at Brown Brothers on Broadway this week, the worst experience ever. The Brown Brothers Broadway I have done business with multiple times is a thing of the past. The used car sales man (Matt) I guess is the title was too lazy to come outside to show us a car, said it was up at their other lot. Drove to other lot could not find car the 2 salesmen just staring out our the window. Did not come out either. Matt extremely rude unhelpful. Will NOT be back to Brown Brothers

I was very pleased with my experience at Brown Brothers yesterday. It is always difficult to walk onto a car lot and try to compare/contrast differing models and trim levels/options without an experienced and educated guide. Matt was very knowledgeable about the products offered and available on the lot. He took an extensive amount of time not only telling me the differences between trim packages I was comparing but spent quite a bit of time with me after the purchase and after the dealership closed to make sure my car was set up properly and that I knew how to use the options.
Everyone was very polite and easy to deal with. Gene was very knowledgeable and helped us make our decision. Tony was accommodating at getting us the deal we were looking for. We recommend Brown Brothers and will look there the next time we are in the market for another car. Weve had our car for 2 and a half weeks and are very satisfied.

In addition to my Service with Oil Change, Tire Rotation, etc., I also had a Power Steering Recall on my 2017 CTS. I have always been very satisfied with the work that has been done on my Car and I appreciate the ones that make it happen. They care and that means so much to me.
The staff was friendly and professional. They were, for the most part, accommodating with a loaner. I feel that they could have been more accommodating with my work schedule, especially when they were going to be closed on a normal business day for a special event. I was unaware prior to making an appointment several days before my actual appointment. It was taken care of, however, someone couldβve advised me that their business was going to be closed. I felt like I had to work around their schedule instead of the opposite. They did professional work in a timely manner. The only other problem I have is that I received my car back with the worst car wash ever. I wouldβve rather them leave it the way it was when I brought it in; the water spots and streaks made my car look worse than dirty. I just assumed that a Cadillac dealership would take more pride in their service to theirs customers.
If you purchase your car here you get free oil changes for as long as you own it...until my wife took hers in for an oil change today and she was told that policy had been discontinued. Thats all fine and good, but I still own it. I hope none of my friends that I have referred to Brown Bros. have fallen into the trap of purchasing a car thinking that was a good perk. I could understand if it was a from this day forward, the policy is no longer in effect for car purchases, but to not honor this commitment to existing customers as a part of their purchase shows an extremely POOR customer focus, but they blamed it on GM...yeah ok. Also, its BAD timing on their part. I have three cars, two of which have over 100K miles and one that has 250K miles, so Im going to be needing a car soon. Guess where Im NOT going shopping for one. Get ANYTHING promised to you by these people in a contract. Their verbal commitments obviously dont mean anything.

If I ever have a problem, I call Frank and I come in right away, he has a car for me and I am out the door. Then he calls me and tells me my car is fixed and washed and come get it. The BEST PART IS MINIMUM HASSLE FACTOR for me! I am a judge and my husband is corporate lawyer with two teenagers and we do not have time for hassle. So we count on Browns Brothers to take car of us and THEY DO! Frank takes pride in his work and has a can do attitude. He should teach a class about customer service to the rest of the world. Took my DTS for a recurring transmission problem that Brown Bros have neglected to assist in fixing. 4 times I have been sent away saying there is nothing wrong. This Friday I waited 3 hours to get it looked at and at 1138 the tech took the car out for a spin and returned at 1155. Diagnosis: nothing is wrong wait for the transmission to break and we will replace it. Gosh! thanks for nothing. On the 3rd time I took Keith the service manager for drive to show him. When the issue popped up he tells me what I felt was turbulence from driving behind a semi. By no means am I buying this. I have a background specializing in complex robotic systems and make my living working with million dollar machines and understand mechanical and electrical systems better than most. I hate that Brown Bros lies straight to my face to avoid fixing my car. Simply put the technician on Friday just drove the car and came back just to go to lunch. I see what was important at Brown Bros. Fixing my car was not one of them!

The service representative was courteous and professional, they overall quality of work performed was far less than expected. The new rear shade that was installed does not operate according to specs, it raises on its on when I start the vehicle at times and does not close when the vehicle is placed in reverse as it should. I am still getting a foul odor at various times from the a/c as I have reported several times in the past. When I picked up my vehicle the interior was not properly wiped down, greasy fingerprints on the dash, glovebox and rear panel, a lot of greasy prints. Clearly there was no attempt made to clean up the mess created when the car was serviced. The 2 stars given in this rating was for the customer service representatives.
We made arrangements from St. Louis on Friday to buy and finance a car. We arrived Saturday afternoon and everything was ready for us. Absolutely wonderful car and wonderful experience. Our associate Matt was so helpful and personable and the finance guy Larry was great! Would totally recommend this dealership.

We werent able to work anything out, but Matt stayed in contact and reached out to me when another vehicle became available. I came down, test drove it and bought it. Everything went smoothly. After being in an accident I took my Cadillac SRX to Brown Brothers with complete trust, it took them a very long time to fix my vehicle and when my rental ran out they did loan me a car. (Which was appreciated) When I finally did get mine back it had grease all over the light tan interior and one of the door panels was all nicked up. I called and told them about the issues and was basically told they would fix them but didnt think they did them. They did fix those issues. Since then my vehicle has developed a squeak in the rear lift gate which had to be replaced due to the accident. The squeak is rather annoying since it happens with every bump that you hit. So my husband took the panel off and found half of the clips broken off and the wiring not even attached the way that it should be. Weve had to fix these issues ourselves and hunt down he squeak. So dont think that just because you are taking your car to the Cadillac dealership which is supposed to be one of the best right? That you will get the best work. 15,000 dollars from my insurance company and this is what I received...
I took my car to to have the carrier bearing fixed a year and half ago and had to take it back 3 times within weeks to have it looked at again. Now here I am again with the same issue. Its interesting that the first time it was $1200 to fix and now its $635. When I spoke with Chris the Service Dept. Mgr. to explain that this would be my 4th time having them fixed the carrier bearing and that it was much more expensive a year and half ago. He hung up on me. This business lacks professionalism and integrity. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I bought a 2015 ATS 2.0T Performance from Charles McChristion. The buying process with Charles was efficient and pleasant. Heβs extremely knowledgeable about cars in general and knew any car on the lot like the back of his hand. He advised into the exact car Iβd be happy with and explained why. Definitely would buy from Charles again. I buy cars all too frequently and probably dealt with a couple dozen of sales men. So far Iβve only met four Iβd go back to - one with VW (donβt like VW cars so not going back there), two with Nissan (wanted rear wheel drive), one with BMW (he resigned, the rest are mediocre at best) so Iβd advise you to ask for Charles if youβre looking for a car with class, character, and personality. If youβre looking for anything else ask for him too.

2001 Cadillac Deville was brought in for routine oil change, to fix the ignition/key recall. While there my husband asked for our back set to be looked at. A week before the appointment a bottle of de icing or Rain X has been placed in the seat and apparently leaked, leaving a sticky chemical burn on the leather seat. You were able to fix it for a reasonable price and you cant tell its even be patched ! Very pleased they were able to add this service on when it wasnt what we scheduled. As usual very happy with Brown Brothers !!

I am not from the Louisville area, but my car was unfortunately rear ended on the interstate while passing through. Our car insurance told us to bring the car to the collision center at Brown Bros. LaRaya was incredibly helpful and professional, and even stayed a little bit later than their closing time to assist me in getting my belongings out of our damaged car and in ensuring that the rental car our insurance issued picked us up before she left. While our car was unfortunately totaled by the insurance company, LaRaya and the rest of the team were also incredibly diligent in retrieving and quickly mailing me any belongings that I wasnt able to get out of our car - including a couple that must have been really difficult to retrieve given where the damage to the car was. While I cant speak to the actual collision repair work since my car was deemed to be totaled, the people I dealt with were incredibly helpful, professional, and compassionate.

I would never use them again, my car (Cadillac) broke down and I had it towed to Brown Brothers and the kept my car for 3 and a half months to install a engine, and then when I got home the car stopped again and my dealership had to install another engine in my car... NOT HAPPY!!!!Purchased a 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium from Browns Brothers Cadillac. When test driving the vehicle I was concerned about the rear shocks and how it rode.I asked them to check it out before purchasing it and they assured me the shocks were fine!A month later Im replacing the rear shocks at $1,600.00.After spending a lot of money on an escalade, I have to replace the shocks!I will NOT recommend this dealership to anyone!1-5-18 Just what I thought this Dealership would say!!! WONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!There is a reason why Brown Brothers didnt sell this as a certified vehicle, and as a previous Cadillac Escalade owner, I sensed there was something wrong with this vehicle as it did not handle/ride like a luxury vehicle during test driving. I brought it to the dealerships attention PRIOR to purchasing it, and YOUR certified mechanic assured me that there was nothing wrong with this vehicle. Knowing you would tell me the same thing as previously, I took it to another Cadillac Dealer and was told the shocks were shot, just as I has suspected. Yes I purchased the vehicle as is, BUT this issue was brought to your attention PRIOR to the purchase, yet I purchased the vehicle in good faith based on what you told me. I feel I was deceived!!!!

We drove from Dublin, Ohio to test drive a 2016 Cadillac Escalade in early January. What made us drive the 3.5 hours was the level of professionalism and respect we received from Tony over the phone. We were able to negotiate a price on the car we were interested in and an offer on our trade in. The level of customer service did not end on the phone. When we arrived at the dealership, we were greeted warmly by all employees. Tony went above and beyond on his part during the negotiating process. We test drove the truck with Gene and he helped teach us about all of the Cadillac features and helped us set up a few things. After our test drive, we went with Bruce to complete paperwork.He was extremely nice and got things moving along quickly. Everything from start to finish went extremely smoothly. They even went as far as to pull the truck into the garage with our van behind it so we could move over personal belongings and did not need to do it outside in the cold. We thought after we drove off the lot, our interactions with Brown Bros would be over. On Monday, we received an email from Gene, just checking on how we were doing with the Escalade and that we had a safe drive home. He was willing to answer any technical questions we had about the features. They also went ahead and called our insurance company to let them know we had purchased a new vehicle and provided the information to them! Our agent called us to verify. We didnt have to do anything. Our title arrived only six days after were purchased the Escalade. I would not hesitate to drive the distance to the dealership to purchase another Cadillac from them. I wish I was not so far from this dealership so I would be able to have my Escalade serviced by them. My local Cadillac dealership has a very high standard to live up to. Thank you for making my Escalade purchase, the BEST car buying experience we have had to date!
We were lucky enough to find a newly posted used Honda at Brown Bros Cadillac in Louisville while shopping on-line: full details of the car was available. I called on my day off; met with Mr. Matt Gardner who allowed us all the time we needed with and without him to make our decision. After a frief negoitation offer with Mr. Brown we made a great deal. They have a wonderful century old building that we enjoyed while paperwork was being processed. All the staff was very courteous, knowledgable, and made us feel completely comfortable in what is usually an anxious time buying a used car. Matt was a great person to work with on the purchase of our 2013 escalade esv. He was very understanding of what we wanted and made the deal happen. The whole team was very professional.
