Took my car here, paid over $3500 for a engine rebuild and the owner claimed that burning oil was natural after a rebuild. Every other mechanic I spoke to told me that was total BS. My main rod bearing is making lots of noice and have a lot of metal shavings. Now the guy won’t even reply my messages. Avoid going here, oh and the whole job took 11 months to get done. My name is Oscar brought in a white Monte Carlo SS maybe you can make things right and fix my car right. Or maybe you won’t, either way avoid this place don’t make the same mistake I did.

Took my head in for a resurface and valve job that cost me $175.00. Way more than other shops. They gave the head back to me with a stripped spark plug hole. Do they not inspect the parts they work on? The hole was not stripped when I brought it in but even if it was, he could have told me there is a problem before I reassembled the engine. The spark plugs were the last thing before I was going to try to start the motor. When I asked him about it he flatly denied that it was even possible they could have damaged my head. Bad customer service and thinks of me as a liar.

I went there to get new hub bearings pressed. I needed them as sooon as possible. He required me to order the bearings. I ordered them through auto zone. Under his name to be delivered to his address and account info long beach truck sales. Auto zone did not have the bearing only, just the entire assemble. I asked him to just get an oem part from toyota he said ok. A day later i asked if he ordered it and he said he needed payment for the part first. Insecurity, he did not trust I would come through after the job was done. He said “we can not return parts to the dealer so you have to pay first.” I said I needed rhe hubs yesterday please order it and I will pay altogether. He agreed. The next day I called and aksed if he ordered it. He said he is waiting for payment. Wow!!! Because I needed the hubs, i went over and payed him and also dropped off a flywheel. He was not there his mechanic was. I dropped off a flywheel to be resurfaced and the mechanic quoted me $30. He had to verify with he owner, On the phone the owner said $50. WOW i have never paid $50 but through convenience i left the flywheel with him.The hubs were done, and i picked them up expecting the flywheel to be finished as well. Nope. In fact he doesnt even have the machine! He outsources it. And because the shop near him closed down that he outsources the flywheel machining, the nearsst option was LA, and why he charges $50. I did not appreciate the lack of transperency. In fact i should of known he was just after my money. He lacks any automotive knowledge, from what I gathered. It seems like he inherited his parents shop and what keeps it going are the skilled employees that know what they are doing.Sad to see. I normally never post negative reviews, but the people who go to this shop must know my story and the truth. Beware.I went to f&r machine shop in signal hill and they took care of the flywheel for $30 and sand blasted it clean.
