By far the best dealership experience I’ve had! Scott and Bernard were fantastic to work with. Unbelievably fast response from Scott and Bernard gave me an amazing deal on my loan! They advised against things I didn’t need and offered a fair value on my trade and accessories. Will be back in a few months to pick out a 2022 Atlas 😎Wherever you reside in CO, go here for your next vehicle. The 1.5hr drive was worth it for me! Can’t recommend this dealer enough! No upsales, no pressure, no nonsense. This is how car buying should be!

First off, let me state that I know I am not the easiest customer to work with. I am a total numbers guy and like to understand them to the nth detail before I purchase. We took well over a month to purchase our new ID.4 from McDonald VW. They stayed in touch with us during the process but were not overbearing.They understood that I need to see numbers and were not hesitant in sharing them with me. I wound up working through 3 salespeople and they worked in tandem to ensure I got what I needed.When we finally made the decision to purchase, we drove up to the dealership with about 15 minutes notice and they accommodated us and got us through the process as quickly as they could.Aaliyah was great during the process, she made sure that we were taken care of. I highly recommend dealing with her during the process.Bernard was straightforward through the finance process and did not put the normal high-pressure sales process on us. He recommended some options to us and explained them.This is the second car that we purchased at this dealer. Stop in for a low-pressure but informative buying process.

If I couldve left ZERO stars I would have!! This has got to be the slowest service and give the worst communication in all of Colorado!!!!...We dropped off our 2021 Cross Sport at 12:30 (appointment time was scheduled for 1pm)... They said 2 hours for oil change at 10,000 miles and tire rotation. Fine, it seems a bit long but we ran errands, not big deal. We returned AFTER 3pm DUE TO ZERO COMMUNICATION AND THE CAR STILL WASNT DONE!!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! Im sitting here irate at the moment waiting for a manager. We waited another hour and 15 minutes before it was finally done. I will never bring my car here for service again. Absolutely terrible, you should be ashamed of your fake 5 star reviews, theyre tainted with terrible customer service!! This is not an Express Service Center, and thats fine that its not. Stop advertising that its express and no appointment is needed because clearly it takes all afternoon and youll definitely need an appointment.

Zero stars if it was an option, service department kept my vehicle for an entire week and didnt even mention to me that a recall on my vehicle was active which they totally ignored and on top of that they team up and lied to me about gas octane. Atlas have 2 numbers on cap 87 and 91. When you buy vehicle new, they recommend 87ron or better which I decided to go for 87 sonce it was under their recommendation. Months after a brand new vehicle started giving problems which I brought to dealer since it is new under warranty. They denied warranty because I used 87ron and charge me $212 for doing a diagnosis and didnt fix anything. Yay Mcdonald Volkswagen for taking such care of your customers. Dont recommend this dealer not even a little and also be careful when they point you to a wrong acceptable octane.

Im pretty torn about my car buying experience here. I was initially drawn to this dealership because of their stellar google reviews. My salesperson David was super kind and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and then some! The whole process was pretty quick and painless. I also really love my new car. However, my issues began with a severe lack of communication within the finance department. Initially they were very slow in sending over finalizing paperwork to my bank. After that issue was resolved, there was a mistake on my banks end and we needed to resubmit some loan paperwork- but the whole process of getting everything finalized through the dealership has been extremely difficult due to how hard it is to get in touch with anyone there. The finance department is virtually impossible to get ahold of (both for myself and my bank) and it seems like they dont really care once they get you out the door with a vehicle. This is an issue Ive seen with some other reviews for this dealership.

If youre buying from out-of-state, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.I live in Minneapolis and found a certified pre-owned 2021 Atlas at this dealership but once we committed to the purchase, everything went downhill. Communication went down hill with the dealership, there were undisclosed issues with the car, zero resolution provided, and now I just received a phone call saying I owe a balance of $609.86 for my license plate and tabs!!See below for detailβ€’ VEHICLE ISSUES: Missing floor mat and tear in leather upholstery on passenger side after being told the vehicle was in perfect condition and that theyd stand behind the vehicle if we had issues. Well, 3.5 weeks later they have still yet to resolve the issue.β€’ NEW FEES: The dealership uses a system to estimate taxes and fees. Their title processing department just told me the system is great for Colorado but its not always great for out-of-state and unfortunately, their system under estimated by $609.86. There were ZERO conversations or mentions to me that there MAY be additional fees once my county processes my paperwork. Not to mention the two times I flat out asked our sales contact if there would be anything additional needed from me on this with his response as Nope! Its all taken care of.β€’ INCONSISTENCIES: Inconsistent warranty info from multiple staff members at the Dealershipβ€’ POOR BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE: dismissed our questions, lack of response, delays in sending paperwork and wire transfer instructionsMore or less, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. Love the service department here. I worked with Christopher and Tucker most recently but also had great experiences previously.For the first year of living in CO I went to a different, large VW in Lakewood only because it was closer to my old home - bad idea. I felt they constantly tried to rip me off by telling me I needed work done that I had just had done four months earlier (which they themselves had done!), they tried to throw out my perfectly good all-weather tires when I bought winter tires, didn’t change my key fob batteries when asked, etc. I’m not THAT clueless! They didn’t even turn off my inspection beeping notification.But McDonald is transparent and reliable. They perform a video of your car inspection, showing you the brake/tire measurements and fluids. And they took a video of my tires so that I could rest assured they would be returned to me :) Plus I love that they have a service where you can text your service advisor - makes it so easy so that you aren’t playing phone tag. They never have tried to upsell me (never once have said I needed the work done that the other VW said I needed), and so I would trust them when the time does come for work to be done. It’s always a pleasant surprise when someone tells you they don’t recommend any additional work on your car, especially when you know it’s somewhat new and low mileage.My car was in and out in no time, and they were able to tell me the labor/part cost upfront. Once fees, taxes, etc are applied, it actually came in less expensive than I expected.

My daughter needed a second key fob for her Tiguan. I made the appointment & bought in her SUV after ordering the extra fob. Very nice young man helped throughout the process (Phoenix), explaining process & keeping me informed. Waiting room for customers has coffee & drinks, large TV for watching & comfortable chairs. I walked around a few times, looking at vehicles outside & also inside the showroom. Didnt realize what cool VWs they have these days! First of all, as a customer we are really satisfied with Carson, and Bernard service! After visiting 3 other Volkswagen Dealerships, we found the one! Carson did a fine job with getting us what we wanted for the payment we wanted. Never did he mentioned a higher payment than I requested, all offers were where we wanted to be. Had a poor experience today at McDonald VW. Went in, knowing what we wanted, preapproved with private financing. Experienced a stereotypical car buying experience. Filled with wait times, meeting with everyone from the sales associate to the director of the dealership, and good cop/bad cop experiences with various people on the sales team. After arriving at a purchase price, the sales manager John changed his mind on the final purchase price when he found out we have private financing. Wanted more money for the car if we weren’t going to use his financing (4% higher than what we had already obtained).We left and had a wonderful experience at Gebhardt VW in Boulder. They had the car pulled up and ready for us, offered us $1,000 off the MSRP. I recommend taking your business elsewhere if you’re looking for professionalism and a positive car buying experience.

We had a great experience when we purchased our vehicle months ago. Made an appointment for our 5,000 service and have sat here for 2 hours waiting. Finally received the inspection video that showed a nail in our tire which we thought might have been there and told the advisor to have patched if it could be when we checked in. They did not so we’ve now been waiting another 30-40 minutes for a patch in our tire to be done. I’ve never experienced this at any other dealership. It’s ridiculous, unacceptable and disappointing.

BUT this place went above and beyond to help me with my car problems. Brought her back to life. I work at a dealership but since Brad always took really good care of us and gave fair pricing . Now that Brad is gone this was our first service. I feel its relevant to share that Ive never, in my life, left a bad review for a business. My experience with McDonald compelled me to leave my first ever.I knew exactly the vehicle I wanted, was very well qualified, and did all my research beforehand. I knew more about the vehicle than the sales associate. That, inherently, wasnt overly bothersome, since its a brand new model, and they were welcoming and attentive. On that note, Ill get some other positives about the dealership out of the way: its a very nice building, the facility and vehicle were clean, and they offered water while I was waiting.My negative experience began with the half truths, incorrect information, and blatant lies in their attempts to sell me a vehicle. Let me state, Im not just a disgruntled customer thats using social interactions as a baseline for my review. The details of what Im referring to, I wont get into here, but I confirmed that they lied about several things, as confirmed by Volkswagen corporate and the laws within the state of Colorado. I gave them plenty of chances to sell me the vehicle I wanted, and it wouldve been one of the easiest sales they made all year, but I would never do business with anyone at McDonald. I wouldnt trust them to give me a high five, if I asked. If I wouldve trusted them, I wouldve not gotten the vehicle I wanted and I wouldve lost thousands of dollars due to a proven lie. Always do your own research, dont just trust what they say at all.You might be asking yourself, maybe this was a new employee that was unfamiliar with their policies or the laws of Colorado? Let me tell you: no, I was dealing with the Sales Manager, David W. Surely hes been in the business and the company long enough to know the laws of Colorado and how to treat a purchase thats tens of thousands of dollars for a customer. I would imagine his methods flow down to the lower sales associates as well. And of course when I tried to get my refundable deposit back, which he told me was a non-refundable fee, it became difficult to get a response back from them.Overall, a new vehicle is a huge purchase for anyone, and for a well informed customer, its a transaction thats based on trust: trust that the dealership is honest about what they can offer, and trust that the customer is interested and able to purchase the vehicle. I will never trust anyone at that dealership, since I dealt with a mid-level employee who should represent the values of the dealership, and the fact that I was told, to my face, outright false information. Maybe your experience will be better, good luck.

Will never take my car to McDonald Volkswagen again for service. I will never buy another car from VW, period. I was told they didn’t have time to perform a recall fix and I said that was ok until the next time I brought the car in for service. I rated 1 star because they charged me for tire rotation which should have been included in my maintenance plan. I can go anywhere and get tire rotation for next to nothing. Also, I got my car back smelling like oil and grease in the interior and I had grease smudges all over the exterior of the car. Waiting for 2.5 hours for my car to get basically just an oil change was ridiculous. This isn’t my first time having difficulty with servicing my at this dealership.

I would not recommend Volkswagen. I bought a brand new 2020 Passat R-Line last year and I still do not have navigation in it. We know in Colorado that cell phone reception is spotty and why navigation is so important. Volkswagen has not been transparent as to when the needed software and GPS part would be in stock. I have made 8 trips trying to get this resolved. Ask yourself what 8 days of trying to get to a dealership means to you in your life. Especially with a brand new car purchase! I have also had incidents were the center council is just off and would not turn on. Nothing like silent car rides in 2021!If I didn’t have 0% finance I would have traded it off already.

I brought my Jetta to be serviced at McDonald once, and in the months since then Ive been getting a steady stream of manipulative mail trying to convince me to buy outrageously priced mechanical repair coverage for a five-year-old car. The Second Notice pictured is not an attempt to collect debt - its a one of the many dishonest sale pitches Ive been mailed.Ive called and emailed the dealership several times in an attempt to get this to stop, but they have not.

We were looking for a first car for our Freshman in College daughter. We were interested in the Sign and Drive deal at McDonald Volkswagen. When we arrive, we were introduced to Brody Burns and he was wonderful. I hate buying cars because the salespeople are like vultures. Brody was the exact opposite. He did a great job listening to me and my wifes needs and wants and gave us the perfect solution, 2020 Red Jetta. The entire process was great and I highly recommend Brody & Bernard Brake (Finance guy).

Disappointing service and follow-up. The dealer owes several options that we purchased with our vehicle. Tracking down when we can get these items and have them installed has been nearly impossible. Many promises from McDonald with zero back-up. Unfortunately, it looks like I will need to take the time to file a complaint with the BBB.

Great experience with David Cox - he did a great job, was patient and took time to listen to what we were looking for. He took the time to send via email a detailed video of a vehicle that matched our search criteria - this made a huge difference saving us time going back and forth to the dealer looking for a vehicle. Thanks Ryan. I was coming from NJ trying to buy an Alltrack from a Jeep dealer. While test driving the car I heard some strange noises coming from the front end. Called two other VW dealerships, explained my situation and was told they cant fit me in in their busy schedules. I called McDonald VW, Ryan picked up and told me to come immediately. I had researched which car I was wanting and found one at McDonald’s. I had set up a time to come in and look at the car, earlier in the day someone was test driving the car and Scott let me know that someone was test driving it and he would let me know if it wasn’t available. This is huge since I had set up an appointment with another dealership and sat in the showroom for almost 45 minutes for them to tell me the car was at their other dealership 45 minutes away. Lucky for me The car was still available and walking in to the dealership it was a different vibe than the others I have visited. The process was easy and quick and and was able to take my new car home that day!
