Brought my 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster in last year to have transmission worked on, I had taken it to a couple other transmission places and the said it would have to be rebuilt ($$$$). When I I told Miguel what it was doing said it didn’t need to be rebuilt and that he would diagnose it. When it was all said and done my car shifted with ease and the leaks were fixed. At this pointe I’d just like to say that I was impressed on how knowledgeable and professional Miguel was and how explained thing in terms I could understand. He also showed me what was wrong and showed me what he did to fix it. I told my son I found my new mechanic!!! Miguel was very easy to talk to very friendly, treated me like a person and not just a customer. Well as it happened I need the 48 worked on again and I brought it Miguel to see what he could do to help me out, he assessed the problems and got to work on them, took a little longer no fault of Miguel’s as my radiator need to be sent to be rebuilt. To make a long story short once I was impressed by Miguel’s professionalism and courtesy and getting the job done and done right the first time. Only go here if you like being treated fairly by honest people. My experience was unbelievably positive, I wish there was an option to give them a sixth star. Miguel welcomed me like an old friend, even though we had just met. He explained what he anticipated the issue was and quoted me $340, best case scenario. I was fine with this and told him to let me know what he found once he had it on the lift. He called me the next day to let me know that it was much more simple than what he thought it was and that it was only going to be $180. He had it repaired and ready in no time, and there have been no issues since. I highly recommend this shop and their staff. It is so nice to know that there are honest people in an industry that is not known for such a thing.

I cant say enough good things about Miguel and his team!! I was traveling from Arizona to Montana and when i arrived in Layton, my transmission was slipping out of gear. I took my vehicle in and after driving it, he knew exactly what was wrong. It was a state holiday, but he still checked and ordered the transmission from his warehouse for arrival the next morning. He had me drop my truck and drove me back to where I was staying. He dismantled the truck that afternoon and when the transmission arrived the next morning he had my truck ready to go by noon!! AMAZING. He came and picked me up. Even though they had plenty of work sitting in the lot, he helped me be able to continue on with my trip with only minimal down time to me. Then the brake was squeaking when he picked me up and he pulled the tire and made sure there was no problem for me and reset the temp guage when it wasnt registering. I cant say enough good about this shop and Miguel. I thank God he led me to Miguel. He was truly a blessing for me. Being a woman traveling alone, I was afraid of being taken advantage of, but he took such good care of me and the price was right on the money according to my regular mechanic. At AAMCO, youll find total automotive professionals who are great at their job and even better with customers. I found AAMCO after another mechanic shop was unable to diagnose and repair my car. Miguel, the Center Manager was able to quickly figure out what was wrong. Something seemingly simple which the mechanic at the other shop was unable to discover. Not only was he able to offer a solution, but he and his team were able to fix my car both quickly and at a fair price. I highly recommend Miguel and AAMCO and will bring my cars to them in the future.

My experience was great. Miguel Juarez treated me very well, honest and up front. I had been told that I needed to replace the transmission in my 2005 Diesel Dodge truck. He checked my transmission and found that their were issues that he repaired with out replacing the transmission. My truck runs smooth and great. Miguel was very helpful and had a great memory and recalled when Id been in before. He is the reason that this place is always booming. We did have to go elsewhere when we needed a repair done more quickly because they couldnt do it for 3 days, but I felt bad about that. They seem trustworthy and didnt charge when we brought it in and it was just a battery going out, which I thought incredibly generous. We will use them again (but hopefully not too soon or frequently!). ;)

We have an older Dodge pickup that we have taken to AAMCO a few times. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite part is that they are conservative and try to fix the problem the first time and they dont do anything unnecessarily. They are aware of the consumers need for prompt and accurate service. They have not disappointed us!

I got my transmission repaired it was good for the warranty time but it has gone out again and they wont back up their work. Never again will I go there my car still sits because after spending 2500.00 on getting the transmission fixed cant afford to even get it looked at. They are a horrible company and I will continue to tell everyone I know and everyone I come in contact with.

While fixing a small problem with our Nissan at the dealership, we were told we had a cracked transfer case and needed a couple thousand dollars of additional repairs. We took the Nissan to Miguel at AAMCO for a second opinion and he looked ever so much more closely at the car situation and found a different less expensive source of the problems. After taking my truck to a certain dealership in Layton that sold me my Chevy (they specialize in selling Chevys) and showing them they installed a lift kit improperly, then completed shady maintenance on the lift kit front diff, they gave me two free car wash tokens. What did Aamco do? They not only recognized multiple issues including stripped bolts, improper installation etc, they fixed all problems caused by Young Chevrolet AND did not go over the up front estimated cost. Young Chevy wanted to charge over 1,000 dollars and that did not include re-smoothing both sides of the differential.From the bottom of my heart I cant thank you guys enough. If Miguel doesnt get a raise this next year he should! The guy knows his stuff and helped me every step of the way! You guys have a customer for life. The Shop Manager Miguel and the team went above and beyond my expectations. I have had components of my car worked on twice this year by other mechanics. Both times failed to address my clutch repair. Bad parts, bad mechanic? Not sure...not producing blame.Finally, this AAMCO team was able to get my car back in shape! Since I was without car, Miguel also took the time to shuttle me to the nearest transit station so I could make it where I needed to be! BEST place to take your car for any repairs. I love how Miguel will take the time to describe the whole situation to me so I know exactly whats going on with my car instead of just saying we did this and that. I had my 2008 BMW towed to AAMCO in Layton for a second opinion and Im sure glad I did. Another transmission shop told me the transmission needed to be replaced to the tune of 4k . Miguel at AAMCO correctly diagnosed the issue on the transmission and found it just needed a broken seal replaced on a valve body ( technical jargon ). This shop fixed my car for less than a $1000, and had it back to me in three days. Thank you for such great service and honesty.

Was traveling from St. George UT to Montana on a Friday mid-morning when my transmission crapped out. Went here because it was the closest place and had great reviews to see what was wrong. The staff was incredible! Miguel did a quick check and came to a conclusion it was mechanical failure and explained everything. He ordered a transmission at noon, stayed late Friday night to pull the transmission, and came in early to finish the job. I was back on the road at 11am Saturday morning. Couldnt have asked for better customer service or workmanship. Two thumbs way up from me!

I was told By another shop that I had transmission problems and likely needed it replaced. I took my truck to Miguel and after a quick drive he ruled out the transmission. My rear differential needed some repairs and Miguel and his team jumped right on it. I was pleased with the work and the price was reasonable. I’ll contunue to take my vehicles to Miguel and Aamco.

I would give ten stars if I could! Had an issue and took my car to a nearby dealer. The dealer had it over three weeks, and it came back in worse condition than when I left it with them. They charged me over $1,000 for the work they did and wanted to charge me an additional $1,000 to try to fix the new problem. (It turned out to be their fault - they put the wrong part in my car and they still havent reimbursed me for their mistake) Took it to AAMCO and within about an hour the problem was diagnosed and solved. For little over $100 I got my car back to running its best!

BLUF: Great service, professional trustworthy staff, be patient if there must be a waiting period.As a military member recently PCSd to the area, and a foreign car owner, it can be scary searching for trustworthy shops. Well let me just say, this became my shop from the first conversation I had with Miguel. I called, and he had me come in and get my code run (my CEL was on) free of charge, and was very transparent about all of the findings. The price for the parts and service he quoted/charged me was very fair, and he was pleasant and flexible to my schedule, which I greatly appreciated. I brought the car back a week later after the parts were in and they were free, and it was fixed in a couple of hours.I will say this, just for those folks who expect to walk into a shop with an unknown issue and it to be diagnosed and fixed within an hour: This is not a huge shop. It is not manned by 11 semi-trained mechanics. It is run by a few REALLY good ones. Quality over quantity. And quality of service over speedy service. I had called 2 other shops to make sure the pricing was right/checking out the competition. They offered to get me in sooner, but were 1. Much lower rated 2. Chain mechanic shops and 3. Quoted me higher.So, you may have a longer wait for your service (obviously depends on the situation), but it is absolutely worth it for the peace of mind youll have knowing your vehicle is in good, honest hands.I will continue to go to this shop for as long as I am in this area. Really happy I found them.

I thought my car was having transmission problems. Another mechanic referred me to Miguel at Aamco. After I called and spoke to him I had my car towed there. My schedule was so hectic at the time that I couldnt find time to actually go there, conducting my business over the phone with Miguel. He gave me a very detailed description of what was wrong with my car which was not the transmission after all but a costly repair none the less. As I was trying to decide if my 04 was worth fixing, Miguel was very patient and answered all my questions. I have never trusted any mechanic just over the phone and with the cost of the repairs, trust to just tell him to proceed. Miguel emailed me the estimate as I asked and followed through with everything he said. I met him the day I picked up my car. He showed me the condition of the motor mount that he took out. The cost of the repairs turned out to be less then expected. I am happy with my experience with Aamco in Layton. I will continue to use them and refer others there as well.

The manager Miguel is incredible, its almost as if he has a sixth sense with vehicles, he gives you his opinion on what he believes is wrong with the car, and he fixes it fast. Ive never had him be wrong the first time. My last visit to AAMCO, my vehicle was leaking a lot of antifreeze, and it turned out to be a bad water pump, which all told would have cost me 800$ to fix, but Miguel double checked this part against manufacturer warranties and actually let us know that the water pump was still in warranty and the dealership would fix it for free, you can trust this shop, I take my car there for everything. - Brad M.

So we took it in. Miguel dicovered that it was only a sensor that needed replaced not a new trnsmission! He saved us THOUSANDS! We now take all of our cars there n matter what the situation is.We drive past two other AAMCOs to get to Miguels shop. It is wirth the drive to have HIM be the one to care for our vehicles.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE! Dont make an appointment. It is useless and so is Miguel at the front counter. Made an appointment a day in advance, show up 10 minutes early and guy claims I dont have an appointment nor is he able to take me in. I showed him the email with proof that I made an appointment and he keeps scrolling through his computer looking for an email. I dont understand whats the point of having a scheduling system if they cant follow it.

My Mustang was giving me a transmission light that multiple other transmission shops could not figure out. Aamco got it figured out and fixed for a very reasonable price.

Online it clearly states they are open until 6pm. But on the door it says they close at 5pm.

Quick and great job fixing my transmission

Took my truck to two other high rated shops in Layton. I told them the issue i was having, and they did the least. Miguel hopped in my driver seat and we drove around for 15 minutes. Within those 15 minutes, he knew what was wrong. Truck runs like a champ!
