They replaced my clutch and flywheel. Very kind, welcoming, and down to earth, didnt try to upsale anything or make me feel pressured at all, and the total amount I was charged was exactly what I was quoted on the phone during our original phone conversation and he had it finished in one day just as he said he would despite what a large job it was . I will definately be referring them and already have my next appointment scheduled[ next week for the other work I need done. Thank you Chad and Adam you two are amazing .

Brought in a VW that was handed down and had some electrical issues. They did what they could, were honest about what they saw and although they couldve used that car as a money maker, they shot straight and advised us to err on the side of caution and pass on the costly repairs and not keep the car. Hopefully Ill be able to use their services in the future on regular maintenance on a different car.

This shop is great! I had a new motor put into my 2006 Audi A4 and their mechanic Jake did an absolutely fantastic job. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, efficient, and very friendly. I have used German Car Service for like a decade. Very comfortable and satisfied with their professional services. Nice and caring staffs especially the manager Jose - you can always trust him. Both my sisters bimmer and mine have regularly done maintenance there and have become their long term loyal customers. I used to live in Seattle yet drove all the way down to Olympia for car services each time, why ? simply I felt comfortable and trust this shop.

I work on every other car and motorcycle I own, but not my X3. These guys know what they are doing and have the tools I cannot afford. Highly personable fellows. Mechanic actually took time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle; and I dont mean a rushed, two minute call. He gave me options, recommendations and most importantly, a fair price. Customer service done right. I have a new go to BMW mechanic.

I brought my Audi in for new brakes and rotors. I got the brakes and was charged for new rotors but I was tricked. They polished up the rotors and two months later my brakes squeaked. I had brakes checked at the dealer and was informed the rotors were not done. Was it because I’m a woman? I’ll never know but don’t trust them

This is a little late in posting but a month and a half ago I drove my eleven y/o VW GTI cross country from Maryland to Washington state. To err on the side of caution I asked German Car Service to look my car over before my trip back. I had no appt and they took me in. They provided an UBER for my short trip back to the hotel and THEN they came to pick me up after my own difficulty in obtaining a ride share in the area. These guys were WONDERFUL!! Service above and beyond. No car problems on the ride back either. Thanks to all the guys who were involved with this whole transaction. I didnt want to leave the planet without giving you your just KUDOS!!

I left them a question via their website asking if they could recharge my Smart Cars air conditioner and never received a reply. Thats not good customer service in my book.

I took my car in this summer. A 2014 vw Jetta... it has been running rough intermittently and sometimes even stalling. Sometimes the engine light would come on and sometimes not. I got the code P0011. Took it in and they said I needed my timing changed... nearly 1300$ plus rental car fees... I get my car back and it has the same issue but only once or twice until now it has started doing it consistently again... I call and they can’t get me in to fix what they apparently did the first time... for over two weeks. I feel like I got charged for the most expensive thing it “could have been.” I took it to another shop that doesn’t even specialize in German cars and it was back in driving condition in two days and the shop showed me the part in person that was not working and leaking oil... a less than 500$ repair including parts, labor and diagnostic. Although with the mileage it was probably due for the timing if I wanted to drive this car as long as I do... and they did do the work... however, that was not the issue that required fixing and their work ultimately left me broke down. I will not be back nor recommend this shop again.

I bought a used bmw and immediately took it to this bmw shop. I told them fix everything that’s wrong I want a car that will last. The owner told us everything that was wrong and we paid and took the car. Less then 2000 miles and 6 months later the car is having some of the same issues but more. We brought the car back two or three days ago. When I went in today to pick up my car I asked why it was going to be so much to fix the same issues and asked about the warranty. I was told they warranty their work but not their parts even though they are still charging me for the work and the part is over $600 that he wants me to rebuy after I just bought it. I have never gone to a shop that does not warranty their parts and I will never go back to this shop again. I would recommend no one take their car here unless they want to be robbed out of thousands of dollars.

I had a 9 o’clock appointment and arrived at 8:30 AM. They were able to take my car in early for oil change and a check up on the car. It took about an hour for them to do the oil change run through the complete car and I was out the door with a great service and a couple of things that I will need to work on this coming week. Nothing fancy here, no high priced BMW dealer, and I have always taken my 2003 Z4 Here for service. You

I have a 2005 Audi A6 and have taken it to German car service twice. Both times the service from check in, to inspection, service and pick up has been courteous, professional, and most important correct. There price is much lower than you will pay at the Audi dealer and their work is as good if not better. If you drive a German vehicle I highly recommend you stop by and get to know the folks. One visit and you will not go anywhere else. They even made a follow up courtesy call a couple of days after the service to see if I was satisfied and ensure the work was done correctly. I was told that I had a oil leak and it looked really bad, but I did not have the money at the time. So I saved up the $1,000.00 they said it would take to fit. I need to look for myself, So I look and all the oil pan needed was a new ($7.00) part from an auto store. They did a assume job fix the head lights on my 03 e500 merc i will most definitely come back for valve gaskets and motor mounts to be done thanks again update Ive been back twice already for valve cover gaskets and spark plug and wires got my car back the same day and went back for new motor mounts put in and oh thanks for welding my cat back together a big difference great communication and top notch work once again..

I had a great experience as usual. Check in was quick and fast, was offered a ride home as I awaited the B service to be done on my Merc. All of the staff are friendly and I was picked up at my home and driven back to the business as my car was completed. Mechanic left good recommendations on the invoice and conducted all appropriate checks. I love the work GCS does and I feel that there service is more personable than the Mercedes and a lot closer.

I have been taking my cars here since we arrived in Olympia. Excellent service. Once a person took out my mirror backing up and they put on a new one for me - more body work than service. This particular trip was an oil change for the X5 Diesel, I had my days off and showed up a day early. They took care of me while I waited - just under an hour. Highly recommend

TWO HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS JUST TO HAVE THE CAR SIT. Great staff, terrible policies. Took my Audi in after getting it diagnosed twice for an oil leak on the front crank seal and to get that, and only that replaced. Told them about it and was told they would have to do their own diagnostic on it. Hundred and twenty six dollars later, was told numerous other things needed to be fixed before they could get to the crank seal.....a total of what would be twenty two hundred. Wasnt told how much the storage fee would be but got charged an extra hundred.....fifty dollars per day. At the end of the day, I wasted money for them to basically tell me I owed money for them to look at the car and park it on their lot. Definitely do not recommend this place and will not be returning.As for the staff, I was treated with respect and had an easy time communicating with them. The staff is not the problem here by any means. They are very professional and respectful to the customers.

They repaired a small trim piece on my car that may seem trivial to most but would be annoying if not fixed. They only charged me for the cost of the part. No labor, no shipping. That was it. And they fit me in to get done on a sunny day. Everyone counts with a convertible in Washington. Class organization. I have taken my cars there before and will go back again. German Car Service will get my business again.I figured I could save myself the trip to Tacoma Mercedes and maybe a few bucks too.It was convenient working with a local shop here in town. The technicians/staff were knowledgable, and they provided good customer service. Prices for quoted parts and labor didnt differ greatly from what Ive experienced in going through a Mercedes dealer directly, but I appreciated that they were upfront and to the point for anticipated costs. Theyll definitely be my first stop next time I need to take my rig in.

The work done is very much appreciated however, this place is quite pricey. I went in with an EPC light on in my VW & they charged me $150 just for a diagnosis of what was wrong. If I had known, I would have gone to Autozone to get it done for free, but everything is a learning experience ammiright? Just know that if you go in not knowing what is wrong, they will charge an extra $150 to your bill to figure it out. I would understand a $50 fee maybe for the service of the workers looking at the car, but $150 to run some codes seems just outrageous. That being said, my car has been running perfectly since I dropped her off, so I really cant complain too much.

German Car Service provides excellent work, this time on short notice for a steering issue which I appreciated. I like that they only repair the current issue without pressuring me to do more repairs. They provide estimates for upcoming needed repairs and put them in order of urgency. This allows me to spread out the work on my car and budget for the repair. When my Cooper is kaput, I always take it to GCS!

Worst customer service ever! They did not respond to a simple question after trying 3 times. if they cant get back to an email or answer a question i surely do not want them to work on my car... Not to mention about twice as much as the actual Mercedes dealership charges!!! Do NOT recommend!

They did extensive work which proved to be worth every penny. However, one issue we had was a small oil leak after the repairs, and when we left our vw with them for a few days for observation, it was returned to us with a shiny new oil pan plug, but they said they couldnt find anything...and our hood was damaged from either tree sap, or fireworks. I buffed out the hood, but its still slightly noticeable.

I went to this auto service as a result of my passenger window being impaired. The mechanics met me at the door and were quite cordial. I asked them to just put the window up and not to do diagnostics. They did so but it took longer than expected and I was told it was due to the mechanic who was assigned to fix my car having gone to lunch. I was told this after having waited for at least 40 minutes. Although the service desk manager was very kind, I was not happy to have waited so long for my car to be serviced particularly when I just wanted my window put up. I was charged almost $100.00 which is understandable, but I cannot help to compare my experience with my current mechanic and his crew. At Accurate Motorwerks in Vancouver, Wa, Michael Gallagher who is the owner, would have done what I asked much more expediently and if not, he would have informed me as to why----and he would not have charged me! One thing about Accurate Motorwerks they do many things as a courtesy to keep their customers coming back and to increase their customer base. Not to mention the quality of service. That being said, if I had car trouble in that area of Washington again, I would return to German Car Service and give them another opportunity to provide service. May God bless youre business.

Quoted my mother-in-law $2500 for a cracked radiator saying the part alone was $900. I took it to my guy in Tacoma and he got it done for less than what they claimed the part would be.
