Yeah so I’m never going to this GameStop again, the Narc at the counter didn’t let me buy a game for my brother because quote “ buying the game for you buddy is like buying alcohol for a minor it’s illegal “ then when I tried to buy the games myself he refused to sell it to me

I almost never go to Gamestop (or any other physical game store). However, last year they had a certain Nintendo Switch model that I wanted but was unable to find. They had it in stock and were able to confirm it over the phone. While they couldnt tell me how many they had in order to prevent scalping, they were kind enough to let me know how to place a hold on one so I could ensure that it was still available when I drove down from Round Rock later that day. The staff were super nice and a pleasure to talk to and joke with.

We tried to go here, but since we are a family of four we couldnt get in. Their covid sign restrictions say only let 5 people at a time, and people behind us were getting in, we were stuck waiting. They were consistently letting 7 in the store before we got to the front of the line. Then they wouldnt let us in.

2 days In a row where I’ve driven 30 minutes out just for no one to show up to open the store. The first time we called and was told they’d be open the following Monday. Monday rolls around and still no one is here. Hard to believe the level of professionalism they’ve neglected to reach. Can’t even open the damn store.

One of the lower end locations. It’s next to a pizza place which makes the locations smell like old grease so will have to hold breath while in there. Staff is a 50/50 chance of getting someone nice or one of the rudest people you will meet in your life. Many self entitled work at this location, I go in to buy a game or statue not hear about you telling me why your too good to play it or what’s wrong with the mechanics. Price wise you might want to really start looking into amazon and such or a large store bc this one tends to overcharge compared to other stores and selection is very limited since store is small.

Went in and bought a gremlin action figure earlier. The girl i called held it for me which was great! However the skinny guy with the spider tattoo on his arm was very rude. After the transaction i simply said have a great day he just looked at me like I was retarded!! Don’t know what his deal was. Will never shop at this game stop again!!!

They are closed at 2pm and it says 12-6pm on Sundays. No other notes on the door stating reason for closure and I cant even add the item I want to buy for delivery @door.

Refused to return an item within 10 days following purchase WITH THE RECEIPT, because they said it was “open” (this item went straight on our closet shelf intended as a Christmas gift). I guess they sell open items as new! Customer service is very poor.

Manager Ricky was great! After waiting in the two hour line he was able to help me with a transaction that was made on 11/20/17 in order to obtain the item for the Black Friday discounted price. Ricky advised that technically no this was not allowed, but that he would assist me anyway in which I was thankful for. He also stated he would help me under these conditions. One, never do this again. Two, leave us a review and tell us how great we are. I apologized to Ricky for the inconvenience. I was under the under the impression I had seven days to return a purchase with receipt, but it was apparent to me though Rickys demeanor that this situation must have fallen outside of this due to being a holiday sale. Nonetheless I am grateful that the discount was processed. I was able to use the refund to purchase an additional item in which I was told I did not have to wait in line for again, only after explaining I had already done so to process the refund.

Went to the store five minutes to closing lady there was happy nice helpful in every way was what I used to expect from a GameStop its been a long time since Ive had service like that from any GameStop location he was actually a wonderful experience especially right there at closing after shes worked her full shift I just wanted to say thank you to her and everybody working there in that store

I just had a experience with Ricky at game stop, had a issue with a used controller purchased and all he cared about was making sure things were right. It is hard to find customer service anymore and despite having a issue I will for sure return to buy again! Things happen, sometimes things dont work it is how it is handled when there is a issue not just how everything goes when things are right. Thank you for taking care of a customer.

Had an absolutely terrible experience at this location. Dylan was flat out rude. Did not care to assist or back up a promise that was made. He sure is bubbly when your trying to buy something with him yet absolutely nightmarish should you even think about returning/exchanging anything. The manager Robert wasnt rude perse just refused to assist or try to go the extra mile for the customer. We had to escalate our issue to corporate and they got us taken care of along with manager Jeremy from the southpark location. If anyone plans to purchase anything from Gamestop I urge you to reconsider going to the Kyle location. Jeremy, Manager, from southpark was absolutely phenomenal and went above and beyond for us. We ended spending more money go figure.

Sold non-working controllers. 2 of the 4 controllers we purchased didnt work. We were told to bring them back.... grrr well of course I can spend my time and gas to bring something back. But that doesnt negate the problem.

Who ever was the white guy working on 7/1 @4:20pm was rude as hell!! No greeting or a simple acknowledgement of customers. Walked in and asked a question to him ( I was looking for an extension for the nes controller). He responded so rude and agitated. Look if you dont like working with customers find a different job! Game stop please hire people with at least amiable attitudes. Ok rant over.

Found out the hard way that Gamestops return policy is well its non existent. Bought a Playstation VR and was not happy with its performance. Tried to return the VR 3 days later and was told I couldnt. Absolute garbage. FYI everyone games, consoles, and accessories are cheaper at Amazon, Target, and Wal-Mart. Stay far away from Gamestop.

Dropped $350 on a PS Vita system including games. Was sold a micro SD card instead of a PS Vita memory card. I didnt know there was a differnece so I thought it was ok until I got home and realized I couldnt play/download any of my games I just bought because the guy behind the counter didnt know what he was doing. Called the next day to let them know what happened; was told it was my fault and that I bought the wrong version of the PS Vita (which in or to play games or do anything with either the 1000 version or 2000 version; they both have to specifically use a PS Vita memory card). Was hung up on and that was the end of me shopping at Gamestop in Kyle, TX. I will never again give this Gamestop location anymore of my money.
