I recently had my brakes repaired at ACURA OF MAUI by KEN JOHNSON and crew. I have never given a review before, but this experience was exceptional, and I felt people should know. KEN was the most professional and efficient person Ive seen in the repair business. I was blown away with the new car Ken let me borrow until the next day knowing I didnt have any other way to get to work as my toyota tacoma truck was being repaired. The price quoted was very fair and the work was excellent. Truck was washed and looking great when I arrived the next day to pick it up. I have never seen this level if service in my 60 years. And no, Im not being paid to post this. People need to be treated fairly these days and ACURA OF MAUI was definitely a 5 star experience!

I found the truck I was looking for at Acura. The price and deal we made was fair. Steve, the salesman, was not pushy nor dismissive but listened to my interests and made the transaction go well. Ken, the service manager, was given a couple of tasks to make the sale final and he made sure he fulfilled those promises. After repairing a mirror on the truck he even dropped the truck at my work. Upon finding that my 2016 ILX wouldnt start, I contacted Acura of Maui and was able to speak to Robert and Ken. Both were extremely nice and helpful and Ken Johnson drove up to my house in Makawao to diagnose my car and give me a loaner vehicle. The service department was very quick on repairs, and I was back in my vehicle in no time. Acura of Maui went above and beyond my expectations, and I would Highly recommend them.
Went in on the 4th of July to look at a 2016 Soul EV. Steve was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed and provided many options I could exhaust to get the car I wanted. I couldnt have had a better experience. Everyone who helped at the dealership was wonderful and the car is GREAT. The car is clean and performs great. I walked in and met John (the GM) and Ryan. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They both took time with me & we enjoyed some Maui small talk—they were both a class act & very approachable. I never felt like anyone was trying to make a sales quota or pressure me into anything. I just bought my first Acura MDX at Acura of Maui. Buying a car can be stressful, but Matthew Viescas And John Streckenbein were fair and courteous throughout the process. We were able to come a great deal fairly quickly, but not once did they pressure me or make me feel uncomfortable. The experience could not have been better, and this is from a guy who truly does not like buying cars. I highly recommend you consider them for your next car purchase, you will not regret it.

Despicable... bought a car here 1½ ago, was actually a BMW they had sitting on the lot.Went back now to have some regular repairs done, they would not even change the oil as they didnt have the tool or knew how to work on anything but Acuras. What a bunch of tossers, they are good for selling, dont expect anything after the sale. Will not be back, ever. Advise you stay away from these amateurs as they clearly has plenty of money and dont need any more customers.

This is my second time purchasing a vehicle at Acura of Maui and I have nothing but great things to say about my overall experience here both times. I was interested in a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country that this dealership had listed for sale recently. I actually live on Oahu, but they had such a great deal on this car that I contacted them to see if it would be possible to have it shipped here if I was interested in purchasing. I worked with Judina, and she went to great lengths to help me assess whether the car would meet my expectations. She returned every email and phone call promptly. She obtained a quote from a shipping company, took over two dozen additional photos of the car for me, and also made a video of the car so that I would be able to see things closer up. We ended up buying a similar vehicle here on Oahu, but I wanted to give a shout out to Judina here for the great customer service we received. Very professional.

Fees! Fees! Fees! Extra fees everywhere! No amount that you think you are agreeing to is the actual amount you will pay.The interest we got was high(with a good credit score), the vehicle was at the top dollar if not a couple grant higher than KBB (after negotiations), and any kind of extras we got were misleading in price. I hate that we got cheated like this! I purchased a car prior to this and I saved a lot, so, that made me think I was ready to buy it from these sharks but I obviously wasnt.
First time buyer and I had a great experience with Acura of Maui!! I did not intend on buying a vehicle, just went to inquire, but I did. All from the convenience of my home. (I live on Molokai) Steve was such a great help with any information I needed about the vehicle, he was prompt about returning any text messages or calls and always gave me FULL, DETAILED ANSWERS. As did Linda, who managed my financial situation and took great care of me in that area of this sale. She was very consistent and made what seemed impossible, possible!! Steve and Linda handled my sale very professionally and I had an amazing experience! They even shipped my car directly to me!! It was so convenient to work with them from the comfort of my home and not have to worry about anything! They were with me every step of the way. Everything worked out great! I knew it was time for a new car and I wasnt sure what I wanted I had been looking for weeks and finally I went to Acura of Maui. It was the best decision I had ever made. The staff their was very friendly, I was helped by Patrick Ibara and hands down hes the best salesman I have ever came across. Very informative and not like those crows at other dealerships whos trying to swoop you in, the minute you say hello. I walked out that day buying a Nissan Murano. It was fast and easy. He also helped me with the insurance and getting it all set up. I will be going back to him for my next car.

The sales manager was very aggressive. We had come prepared with research on the actual cost of a car and made an offer. She played every game in the car sales book (acting insulted, LOOOOONG waits while holding onto drivers license, calling the owner, lowballing the trade-in) to try and get more money. It was quite unprofessional, especially for a brand that is marketed as upscale. She ended up accepting our offer, within a few hundred dollars, and then took the greater part of the day to complete the sale. Perhaps that was our punishment for being well-prepared, savvy customers?On the positive side, the salesman, Patrick, was especially polite and helpful. In the end, I would recommend against dealing here unless you are absolutely set on an Acura.
Funny how Google review has an overall rating of 4 stars (with 13 reviews) & yelp has an overall rating of 2 stars. but remember, businesses cant pay to alter or remove reviews on yelp. hmmmm.....my issue is with linda. I have no idea why she feels she has all the power over customers when its the bank, or credit union that ultimately has the last say when it comes to loan approval. she was great when I first went to buy my rdx. I even gave them a five star rating! but she had a completely different attitude when I tried to upgrade recently. I was told to keep the car a year or so to build my credit & then go back to upgrade. I was also told that they would pay off my certified poor owned (cpo) rdx. well she said that my car wasnt worth what i still owed on it which I think is hilarious cause they pride themselves on how acuras have the highest resale value. ha! what a crock of s*#!. i had also built up my credit but apparently not enough to her standards (which takes me back to my original comment on how its the bank, or credit union, has the ultimate say when it comes to loan approval)I also feel like my cpo rdx wasnt put through 182 point inspection. the car was turned in literally a few hours before we arrived (which was after the service guys went home) & they sent us home with it. I brought it back but have no idea if that 182 point inspection was done. I kept getting yeah, yeah when asked about it. there was no paper work to back it up either. with in a month or so of buying it the tire pressure indicator keep going off. took it in for them to tell me I need to patch it. excuse me? well we just bought four new tires to save us from going back multiple times & being told the same thing. I ask myself could that have been 1 out of that 182 points. ??? another thing I noticed within in a month or so of buying it was the headlining. it started to sag real bad. i admit i didnt notice it when we got it but i sure as hell know its not going to sag like that in one month.heres another story from a disgusted customer. Take your time and read the Credit Sales Contract. Linda will try to make to make you feel like youre wasting her precious time, but slowing down here could save you thousands of dollars. Find the line that says, Cash Price including Accessories. If this amount is more then the agreed upon price of the car its because Lindas padding her pocketbook with your money.Specifically ask if you are paying for a warranty, credit life insurance, and security window etching. Have her show you on the paperwork the exact amount you are paying for each of these.It is not required that you buy any of this stuff and she will lie to you to make you think otherwise. Shell try to sell you a warranty without telling you that the used vehicle you are buying may be covered under state or federal Lemon Laws. Shell tell you that the security etching is already on the car and you have to buy it; you dont have to buy it and you shouldnt. Never buy credit life insurance from a dealership. Youll pay too much!Remember that warranties, credit life insurance, and security window etching are high price commission items that you can get cheaper somewhere else. Ask how long your loan is for and make sure you were given a competitive interest rate.the rest of the staff is wonderful! i give THEM 5 stars. I have no problem with anybody other than linda.SO, my suggestion is GET PRE APPROVED, do your RESEARCH before you even step foot in this acura to save yourself from dealing with linda! and READ, READ, READ & ASK QUESTIONS about the numbers.Im so disgusted with Linda, her attitude & the power she thinks she has over customers, that if I do buy another Acura it sure as hell wont be from Acura of maui. she is a down right shame to the brand & what they stand for. so not the experience youd expect from a luxury car dealership.
My car shopping experience with Acura of Maui was worth it. I was specific with my needs of a car that I was looking for. Patrick Ibarra helped me along the way, from my online inquiry, to setting an appointment, greeting me and my family, as well as having a personal introduction from Linda, Financial Manager because of a mutual co-worker that put in a good recommendation for me. From test driving and of course taking care of the financial end. It took a while but when buying a car...Hello!!! You cant just go in and out, like a grocery store. When I finally decided to make the purchase he was with me every step of the way. He even took the time to sit with me in my brand new RDX and go over all the features, he even gave me his cell number to call him anything time I have a question or needed help with the RDX. After over three months and three trips back and forth lured to the other side, they wouldnt sell me a car. I anxiously awaited the release of the new TLX and stayed in touch with a salesman who, albiet a nice guy, would not and could not to save his life give me any kind of numbers. Through tireless emails, I got no where but circles. After three separate visits (one of which he said to come on down to test drive the car and then when I finally got there, he told me the car had been sold the day before), I got them to talk numbers. He left me in the lobby and returned with his boss to tell me that the best they could do was $200 monthly more than their advertised price and a much larger down payment. She the boss said they rarely make this sort of exception and only have $600 in the deal, so it was a take-it-or-leave-it situation. This seemed very odd to me since I had done the research already and her sales price (sans +++feeson her notes) was over $5000 over invoice and $3000 over MSRP!Since they werent going to sell the TLX, I then asked my salesman about a nice used TL to the side. He quickly fetched the key and the owner himself spent a while out with me telling me how great the car was. I went for a test drive and loved that car too! I asked ok, since the new car seemed out of my budget, how about a two year old car, and is it Certified pre-owned? The owner said he just cut the price, yet no one could figure out what to. Then they wouldnt even tell me why it wasnt Certified Pre-owned. I asked for any details and they said the CPO guy is a stickler... thats it!So I said how is the financing to quickly she replied well, the rates are very high on used cars Im thinking it wont be worth it to you. Why dont you go home and think about it, and then let us know what sort of price you want and down payment you want.Ive never had a car dealership waste so much of my time, refuse to give me any details, and then condescendingly tell me to go home. I strongly recommend you do your research before going to this place, and if Linda Ludwig from the sales/finance comes out, expect a very large payment thats completely over the top!
What is wrong with Acura of Maui? Refusing business from local residents?thats what happens when a business isnt owned locally? My girlfriend wentto Acura of Maui just recent and tried to trade in a vehicle and the manager of the dealershiprefused to sell her a car. Told her that were not able to sell her a car because she got ripped offfrom another dealership who says that to a customer? very horrible business practices. We shouldveread the reviews before even wasting our time going there the manager is a bad asset to the companyweve never led to believe from other people about the service that the dealership provides until we had toexperience it for ourselves. If youre in the market for an Acura go to Acura of Honolulu they are willing to helpthe locals out and give them great deals. They will even offer to ship the vehicle to you for FREE!!!
