I had the Dream Team!I have owned a few business, and I would definitely hire AMY the front desk young lady, a perfect person on the phone and a great person to be the first face you see and greet.thanks Amy and thanks for a great referral,what can I say about Justin,if I can deal with a professional like Justin all the time I wouldn’t have any hesitation at all.We hit it off right away and I was comfortable right away .Most of the time it’s very painful when you go to the dealership however our visit was a great experience,we would actually come back just to visit with your team and felt like we were family. Tldr your experience will vary depending on what youre looking for and the employee you work with. Giving an extra star just because the first guy did try to help.Went looking to buy a new vehicle, was helped out initially by a male in his 20s everything going smooth. We werent able to find anything we were interested in, but he went inside to get us his card. Instead of coming back out, what I would assume was his boss came out (white male in his 50s). This guy was your stereotypical used car salesman and put so much pressure on myself to buy a used car. Personally I do not care about this Certified Pre-Owned, a used car is a used car.

I am an old Honda customer, bought Hondas all my driving life. I bought my last car a year old from Island Honda and now the paint is splitting on the door. The car is just from 2015. I went to Honda six weeks ago and somebody took a photo promising to send it in and let me know if they take responsibility for it. That was supposed to be in two weeks.Nobody ever called me back! I left a lengthy message about the situation again nobody called me back.At the service number number I have tried for weeks to find put the status nobody ever answers. Only the sales number functions and is answered. Sales are obviously more important than customer service which is obviously not on the front line. I’m very very disappointed and upset. I might have to shift my loyalties to a more deserving company.

Absolutely the worst experience of getting my car serviced.Background:My first time going to this dealer was in January 2020 for a routine oil change on my honda civic. When they gave me the multi-point inspection report, it said the transmission fluid and brake fluid need to be replaced. I believed transmission fluid change was about due, but the brake fluid was only replaced 5000 miles ago. I called B.S. on it and checked it myself and sure enough, it was clear and like new! While I was doing that, I discovered that one of the screws for the engine air filter was only half fastened, almost going to fall out and one of the fasteners was missing. I called them about it, even left a review here. They got back to me to appear as if they care and said someone will call me but they never responded even when I called them. I had to buy new bolts and fix the engine air filter myself.Now:I went in on July 29, 2020 (photo #1) to change the transmission fluid and again on Aug 19, 2020 (photo #2) to have the oil changed and tires rotated. Their multi-point inspection report said that in this period the thickness of brake pads had INCREASED from 6 mm to 8 mm! WOW, my car must be a transformer to be able to do that. When I pointed out the discrepancy at the dealership before leaving, they took the car in the back and said we will measure the pad thickness with a calliper. They said the correct thickness was 7-8 mm. When I drove the car home, just out of trust issues from my previous experience I decided to check all parts they might have touched and sure enough, the mud-flap behind the front passenger wheel was just hanging by a single half-fastened bolt while the other bolt was completely missing (photo #3). They must have taken it out to measure the brake pad thickness and forgot to put it back on! So now theres another bolt I need to buy and fix this myself.More (photo #4)My engine coolant level is below the MIN mark. But this did not show up in their multi-point inspection.Take aways:1. Their multi-point inspection report is not at all trustworthy.2. If you still decide to go here, make sure you yourself re-check every part they might have touched, unless you want to end up in a serious accident.I will see if they fix the mud-flap and update this review. But to do that, they first need to pick up my calls!

We felt looked out for, like we were doing business with friends.It was a comfortable, friendly, professional experience. Everything was up front and easy. And it didnt take that long - which has been my experience in the past. Justin followed up with us even when we were busy and presented us with a vehicle that was just right.When its time to get another car, were here! BEWARE!!!!!One of the worst experiences I have ever had. They are going to play the back and forth game while pricing their vehicles 5k over MSRP, claiming we live in Hawaii so shipping is a lot more expensive. Yes this is true but not 5k. Come one really! Called Tony Honda the next day and made deal less than 15 minutes. No waste your time with these guys. Sad for see local people trying to ripe off local residents. AUWE.

Quantities of pre-owned vehicle inventory in Maui is really very low right now for so many reasons and I so appreciate that Island Honda didnt add on an unreasonable markup. Julius & Mariko were attentive and really responsive to my questions and in taking care of any follow up needs. I am so happy with my 2019 Honda Accord LX.

Sales review - Visited Island Honda to test drive several vehicles and find the best fit for me. Worked with Mariko for a couple of hours and she was really great! Very patient helping me look at several options, answered lots of questions, and no pushy sales pitch or mansplaining like I experienced at other dealerships on the island. Highly recommend you work with her for your car purchase needs. Unfortunately, the dealership was unable to agree on a price with me, so I didnt purchase but still would happily work with Mariko again.

Another horror story like one usually have about once a year with terrible service. Staying at a friend who let us use his car. Battery is about to die, called AAA, once, then another time, jumped start the car 4 time on my own. AAA testing shows battery is at 15% (need replacement under 40% - see picture). Battery is on its very last leg. Brought it to the dealer where the battery is still under warranty. They told me no problem, we will change it. After 4 hours (yes, you are reading right), they said they need to charge me for the battery because battery is good. The woman Destiny was also rude. She was asking how I came if the battery was dead - the fact that I did not have to tow the car meant the battery was good (I actually had to jumped start the car to bring it). Just left and went to get one at Costco. There is no words to express how frustrated I was with this dealership.

We appreciated the timely but not pushy response to our initial internet inquiry, the good follow up by phone, the friendly reception at the clean nice looking dealership showroom, the pleasant experience of working through the details of what we were wanting in a vehicle and subsequent test drive without being pressured. Sebastian the salesman, patiently listened, researched answers to the questions that we had and came up with a deal that we could accept. His post-sale follow up was helpful and appreciated. The Costco Connection was helpful in the financial part and also provided some discount on after-sale accessories and service. Even the dealerships financial person was personable making the final signing painless too. A big Mahalo to the whole team :-)

Had an oil change done for the first time yesterday. Service was done within 30 minutes, which was great. Looked over the paperwork and the fixed PSI written was incorrect. My tire pressure was the same as it was before the service. My husband also said that now it seems like our car doesnt have the power it originally had while driving.

Worst place on the island! They don’t care about you. What they do care about is how much money they’re gonna squeeze out from you. For example take my car in to have it looked at because my engine has a leak somewhere and have a look at my ac. They do take care of my ac problem and when I ask them about my engine they told me it’s fine!!! Come to find out they didn’t look at squat! So I take it in again and then they tell me I have to get it cleaned! Like I know that but it wouldn’t have been a problem if you guys looked at it the first f#king time I asked for it. Never again will I ever do business with them again.

I would recommend Island Honda to people. Jacob and Chelsea were awesome. Jacob was the salesman that I helped me, and he wasn’t pushy and was very patient. He asked me what I was looking for and took me straight to what I shared. Everything he made things seem so easy. He also worked with me with prices to be sure I was in my price range. Chelsea helped with the paper work and made sure I understood what I was going to sign and went over the paper work with me.I have brought many cars in the past from other dealerships and this was the first time I went to Honda. Setting up an appointment online is very easy.All of the staff at Island Honda are very friendly, professional and concerned about making the experience of getting your car serviced as simple and thorough as possible.The technician that got us started and wrote up the work to be done was professional and very good with customers. The person that helped at the end with paperwork and payment was super kind, engaging and professional.We love Rita, who runs the shuttle. She took us to the mall while the car was being serviced. Great to catch a ride with Rita and talk story on the way.Our car is in great condition as we regularly bring it in for service. Everything gets a thorough check and it always seems your service staff get the job done earlier than expected.I looked through the paperwork when I got home and noted the service tech made a comment about the wiper blades needing replacement. It wasn’t mentioned to us but it was good to see they checked that detail and I went into the auto parts store and picked up refills for the wipers and replaced them.Thanks Island Honda for taking good care of us and our car. You have a great staff and it’s always a pleasure to work with them!

Julius Carlos assisted my parents and I in purchasing a Honda Civic from Island Honda on Maui. Julius displayed much welcomed professionalism through his extreme patience, friendliness, paperwork, explaining the car details and going above and beyond his salesman duties. With my parents arriving at Island Honda tired and hungry after a long morning of car shopping elsewhere, Julius brought the car to their home for a test drive after my parents were re-energized. Once may parents decided to purchase that car, Julius collected all the information required and went back to Island Honda to have all the paperwork completed, then returned to their home with the beautifully cleaned car for my parents to sign, connect phones and other personal details, then drove the trade-in car back to the store. Julius spent his entire work shift serving us, even ending after his normal working hours, with a smile the entire time. This review is specifically for Kevin M, a salesperson at Island Honda. I have been a loyal Honda customer for 5 years. I wanted to trade in my lease for another Honda. I came into the dealership, met Kevin, test drove the car that I was leaning toward, and got an initial quote on the rate. I wasnt quite ready to make a decision as there was still a month left on my lease. All good.As it got closer to the time to make a decision, I made an appointment to meet with Kevin on a Saturday morning. I fully expected to drive off with my new lease that morning. I brought my partner with me as he had some questions about the car and the quote that Kevin had given me. When we arrived, Kevin came out and it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde once he realized that I had brought my well-informed partner with me, and we had some remaining questions. Kevin stated (exact quote), I dont have time to talk about numbers. I have time to sell a car. He then proceeded to tell us that we should go ahead and leave if we werent ready to purchase the car. Im not kidding! Truly, this was the most unbelievable and off-putting car sales experience that Ive ever been through, and both my partner and I were quite upset about how we were treated.Our main question revolved around why the quoted price for a lease was more than what it would be to purchase the car. Generally, a lease is less expensive than a purchase price on a car.Well, long story short, Kevin did not sell a car that day. I purchased my Honda lease (obtaining the loan through my private bank at a MUCH better rate than what Honda offered). I plan to sell my car soon, and according to the Kelley Blue Book value, I should have no problem making a small profit on it as it has low mileage, is in excellent condition, and in demand here on the island (despite being told by Kevin that I have negative equity in it).When I purchase my next Honda, it definitely wont be at this dealership. My plan is to call a high volume Honda dealership on Oahu and have them ship it over. Hondas sell themselves- there is no need for rudeness and old school hard sale techniques.

All of the staff were great and gave exemplory customer service. Julius was a beyond exceptional salesman. He was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, very helpful, and attentive. From the time we walked in to the time I drove off with my new HR-V I was well taken care of. Kim did an awesome job going over and explaining the contract. She not only acted professionally but also was personable and made sure I understood everything. Both Julius and Kim worked hard to get me the best deal possible and always made themselves available for questions. I would 100% recommend buying a Honda from them to anyone I meet. I cant believe they would sell me a car that is unsafe to drive at night without disclosing the issue or be willing to work with me to find a solution. I offered to share the cost to make this car safe, but basically was told: Tough luck! Edit: They have just contacted me and promised to help resolve the issue.

This last visit was the best oil change service I’ve ever had. Technician came out immediately when I pulled in and the shuttle was ready to take me to my office within five minutes. Efficient and friendly service. Make sure to arrange reservations ahead, walk-ins usually take a little longer. They just revamped the entire service area. There is a shuttle service that can take you anywhere in the Kahului area.

Although the salesman and financial officer was great I soon realized after purchasing my 2015 Honda civic EX that in a year I will have to buy 4 brand new tires (Purchased with 24,000 miles on it) and probably a new battery. I should have factored those in when I negotiated, or better yet, I wish Honda would have in good faith said we will replace the tires in a year. Oh well, live and learn.

My good friend arrived on island to find her 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid not starting. She knows nothing about cars, and is still distraught with having recently lost her husband who took car of all the automotive issues. Anyway, she called Island Honda, and they offered to pay for a cab to get down there. A few hours later they worked out a deal for a new Honda Suv. They would pay her $750 trade in for the Escape, which they volunteered to tow away at no charge. Later that day I heard about what had happened, and the low trade in amount given (only 78000 miles on the vehicle, which usually drove great). I went by and was able to start the car immediately, but the deal was already sealed. It was towed away 2 days later. Today I saw it listed for $8995! This is criminal. This is called preying on unsuspecting women. Maui is an expensive place to live, and run a business. Dealers deserve the best deals they can make within reason, but without breaching a code of ethics and decency. I have heard many great things about the service at this facility, and this should not reflect on the many reputable people there.

NEVER EVER EVER buy a car from these people. I bought one and before I had put 5,000 miles on it it needed massive repairs. Like $3,000 worth. I told them I couldnt afford that and they said that I could get away with doing half of the repairs now and half I could do later, so thats what I did. 2 days later and the car was making the same awful noise. Their response was basically Ha ha, sucks to be you! I spoke to the General Manager thinking that the boss must have the sense to realize what bad business this is. Nope. He was rude and pretty much insulted me for not having enough money to buy a new car. He said Dont tell me how to run my business! Yep, he said this to a customer. Great job champ. Anyway, finally I took it to an honest mechanic who fixed it for $200. It only needed a $35 part. These guys are thieves and liars. Avoid at all costs.

This was my 2nd purchase/lease through this dealership and I was well taken care of. I knew what I wanted, so called ahead to schedule an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by the sales manager I had worked with before, Randy Vida, and introduced to one of their senior sales people, Julius Carlos to assist me. I was taken to the storage lot to look at the available vehicles that that my description took one for a spin and came back to do the paper work. All was going smoothly until it was time to drive off. They had sold several cars while I was there and only had one guy to wash them and prepare them for delivery. I was getting tired and hungry and ready to go. In an effort to keep me comfortable, Julius brought me a donut to tide me over. And the next thing I knew, Randy brought me a sandwich. I appreciated that concern and attention so when my car was ready I got to enjoy the ride home instead of thinking about my growling stomach, haha. With service like that, I will continue to do business with island Honda.

I went to Island Honda with my friend looking to purchase a new car, and was interested in the Civic. My friend introduced me to his friend Dru, and Dru introduced me to our sales person Wilson. I fell in love with the Civic after I test drove it and decided to come back the next night with my husband to buy it. Throughout the entire process both Dru and Wilson were very friendly and personable. This was our first new car purchase and they both made our experience truly memorable.

I was e-mailing Sebastian questions regarding a specific deal Honda was offering and he answered all my questions, so when I walked into the dealership I knew what I wanted. Julius helped me pick out the color of the vehicle, explained how things worked in the car and let me test drive it. We then took care of the documents and although it took awhile getting everything finalize (which was to be expected) we were able to get me the car and deal that I was looking for.They both were very personable and neither tried to sell me anything I didnt want. You can tell the work environment at Island Honda is positive and the workers there are comfortable with each other, which puts the customers at ease.Thank you again, for all your help!

I had a recall on my Element. The staff handled it very quickly and efficiently. The shuttle driver took me to the mall where I was expecting to spend hours but about an hour later I got a call from Paul everything was ready and they even did a check out of the car to make sure everything else was okay. Shuttle driver got me and I was on my way. I appreciate the extra service. Thanks!

My battery died while i was trying to set up my hands free link (to my cell phone). So went to Island Honda to get a new one. After it was replaced Brandon went out of his way to connect my phone to the car and set up my voice contacts. Thank you, Brandon. Otherwise I would have another dead battery.
