Set appointment to go look at vehicle here. When I showed up I waited for him to finish with a customer. He didnt greet me asked me why I was there for what vehicle than proceeded to tell me I had to stand in one place and wait for him to move car so I did. I than noticed major damage on vehicle not listed in the ad when I asked about it he gave me rude response. He than proceeded to yell at my friend who was with because she was looking at a vehicle and was interested in buying. I thought in a used car lot you were allowed to look at cars, not here he treats you with no courtesy or respect wont allow you to look at vehicles by far the worst rudest and sketchiest dealership I have been to on Maui would recommend no one go here unless you want to be ripped off and treated poorly all the vehicles in the lot looked damaged which isnt listed on the ads

We made an appointment online for 9a and he was bringing his cars in from the rd. We waited until he was done, afterwards we approached his entrance and he started to close the gate, and without reason he rudely said were appointment only. I politely said we have an appointment, and my wife even said to him we made an appointment online to see a van. Wasnt even willing to talk? I was happy to take our business elsewhere and we fortunately got a way nicer van from a much more customer friendly dealership.

I landed in Maui at 110pm I had a reservation with 1 of the big name car rentals. They wanted me to wait 4 hours for a car. I canceled that and called these guys. They picked me up in 10 min and had me in a car within 15 minutes. Couldnt have been easier. Not brand new car but its runs great and I dont look like a tourist. I will use them again and again going forward.

If I could give this guy zero stars I would. I called and made a reservation to rent a van for a vacation. It was confirmed and they gave me a reference number. I called three days before my trip to check on reservation and they said they had no reservation for me. The owner was rude and hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and don’t rent for this guy!

Had an awesome time exploring Maui with Cars for Less. They are extremely knowledgable, easy to work with and fair. Would highly recommend.

I purchased a vehicle from Rudy at Maui Cars for Less 6 months ago and had a number of issues with the car. Within in the first week of driving the car, it broke down on the side of the road twice. Once because the front passengers tire blew out on the highway after having brand new tires installed earlier that day. After that, 3 of the 6 cylinders failed. While they did attempt to assist me in resolving the issue they replaced the failing parts with other spare used parts. Shorty after, the engine check light popped on to let me know that catalytic converter was failing. The final straw was when the alternator died on me and unmasked a slew of other mechanical issues. Do yourself a favor and invest in a vehicle that is going to last you longer than 6 months.

Overall, a horrible experience using Rent for Less, Maui (affiliated business). Our selected car was not available when we arrived to rent it. They had nothing else to replace it with. We were instead given a car which barely ran, and were told to come back the next day to pick up a new vehicle. However, this did not work for us, as we were staying on the other side of the island and only had three days for our road trip. Double-backing 2.5 hours was out of the question. They had no solution for us, just an very unapologetic sorry, indicating that they had messed their return schedule up.The workers made it clear that Rudy has been off on a year-long vacation, letting others run the business, while he handled booking from another country. This resulted in a lack of communication to employees, and many people not receiving the rentals they requested.Want to make sure your vacation goes smoothly? Do not gamble renting from this company.

Best car rental on Maui, period. If it werent for Rudy I would still be waiting in line at Advantage rental car. I had booked a rental at Advantage a month before arriving on Maui. But when we arrived, the line was over an hour long and barely moving. I quickly scanned the nearby rental places and called Cars/Rent for less. I got Rudys cell and he immediately drove to the airport, picked us up, and got us on the road in less than 30 minutes. RUDY IS THE BEST. Drop-off was easy and he gave us a ride back to the airport as well. The prices were similar or less than Advantage. Seriously, you cant beat this kind of customer service AND were supporting local business. Please consider going local when you visit and rent from Rudy! THANK YOU RUDY! You are awesome.

Rudy, the owner is a very honest and helpful businessman. We are currently renting an suv from him for 3 months. We brought it back after a month to have the brakes checked. Within an hour he had the brakes replaced, a new oil change and after a friendly conversation we were back on the road. We highly recommend working with him for your rental needs. We were very pleased with his helpful customer service. No questions asked ... he corrected the problem. We will definitely frequent his business in the future.

They have the best staff, deals, and lot of cars on the island of Maui. You wont regret buying a car there. Compared to the other dealers, its not just about them making a sale. Rudy was very honest about his cars and gives you his best options as to what you are looking for and what youre budget is. Also, his lot of cars from what I saw were not at all questionable. They all looked in good shape considering the fact that they were used cars. And if there was something wrong with the car, Rudy would be honest about it and tell you. Rest assured, you can feel confident and secured in purchasing a car from Cars for Less.

So I just moved to the island. My dad and i had been looking for a car prior to the move. We found what would have been an awesome car (08 Toyota Corolla). My dad talked to Rudy a few times about the car, got the car fax, everything seemed legit. So we agreed it was the one. I called Rudy a couple days ago about checking out the car (specifically the 08 Corolla) and he said he had it rented out and that it would be available to test drive (1/22). Well just showed up and to my surprise it’s still rented out and won’t be returned until March! This guy had confused it with a 2012 Corolla and told me that one had been returned..when I was specifically inquiring about the 08. He didn’t really attempt to sort things out, just said “sorry”. No other offers, deals, solutions to the problem, etc. Just plain out sorry. Don’t know what this guy is thinking but man I would have definitely bought the car! Not sure how this guy has good ratings.Your response still didnt solve anything, Rudy! At least try to be genuine. You just care about making money.

I have very high standards for people and the way they conduct business. I am extremely pleased with my purchase of a 2013 Nissan Leaf from Cars for Less Maui a few weeks ago. Rudy was a fair and honest man.I had a lot of questions about the vehicle as it was my first fully electric car. Rudy was very knowledgable and patient. He stayed late for me a few times to accommodate my work schedule. He helped me along through financing and was very patient through that process as well.His prices are fair, and he is willing to talk about why he came to that price. I am confident that I not only got a very good car, but a very good deal.I would absolutely send friends to Rudy to purchase a car.

I recently purchased my second used vehicle from Cars for Less Maui and, once again, it was a great experience. Now Im looking to have my son buy a vehicle from Cars for Less Maui.I feel Rudy is honest and I love that he offers a 3 month warranty on his used vehicles. If Ive needed help with a car that I purchased from Cars for Less, hes always quick to make sure Im taken care of at a fair price. I cant say that about other dealers I have worked with in the past. I also know that when I go to Cars for Less Maui I can expect well-maintained cars with lower mileage.I highly recommend Rudy and Cars for Less Maui when youre looking to purchase a vehicle.

I came to Rudy after I had been to the large car dealerships and Rudy out performs them with his expertise confidence low prices and most importantly his friendliness he is very approachable and genuine, not only did he sell me a great Nissan Leaf but he got a customer for life. I don’t often write reviews but Rudy’s cars for Less Maui is an awesome company doing the right stuff.

I was absolutely appalled by the level of customer service at this business. Upon arrival, I was greeted with an employee yelling at my family and I. This is no way to treat a customer, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

When I inquired about one of their cars on Craigslist - ready to drop $15k- I god a rude reply instead of a real answer in response to my question. Sketchy tactics. Don’t think it is a good idea to buy a car from someone who is not even willing to respond in a answering a question to a buyer . Not professionalAT ALL!!!

Terrible customer service! I reserved a car online for 8 am but when I got there, they were closed. The man told me they open at 10 and then said he doesn’t have the car available. After I already paid $80 for it and drove all the way there. Go somewhere else! Please don’t give this horrible man business. Very unprofessional.

Buyers beware: owner is rude, no aloha, and his advertising is misleading! He had a vehicle listed for $6999 online which is $2000 over Kelly Blue Book market value, so we expected it to be cherry. Upon inspection we discovered it has an obvious oil leak, but we were still interested. Rudy the owner asked if we were paying cash or financing, we said cash. He comes back saying the cash price would be 7800 and he is firm, not willing to negotiate. Not sure why he thinks ripping people off is ok. There are too many other good used cars on Maui to do business with a scammer.

Is it possible to leave zero stars? Cause if it was, Id be giving him a negative 10. I would never recommend renting/buying or dealing with these people in any sort of way. It will be one of the most stressful dealings you will ever have.We rented a vehicle through Outdoorsy that was with this company. After getting picked up we learned that the rental we chose wouldnt be available until that night when we arrived at noon. We were a group of 4 and they had no other vehicles that would function for us. Desperate to not have our day of activities ruined we agreed to a Yukon for 24 hours. After stopping at the store, we found that the back latch wouldnt lock and therefore wasnt safe for all our luggage. This was after filling the vehicle up with $76 worth of gas (as the gauge was below empty. We called requesting that the other vehicle would be filled since we filled up the other. The employee (as Rudy wasnt even close to Hawaii....apparently in Czech Republic) refused to have this done even though that would make us short almost $100 AND not getting the correct vehicle. It took driving back and discussing directly with the staff to get our moneys worth back. At this time a Jeep with a tent had returned and said we could take it instead. Still desperate to salvage our day we took it. This ended up being such a stressor on our vacation as it didnt fit 4 properly. The other vehicle we had rented was suppose to have a back bed and the tent on top. We were suppose to camp the entire time. With the stress of this, we ended up renting a hotel that last night because it was so miserable. 15 days later we still have not heard back directly from Rudy about the issues with the rental. Using this company partially ruined our $1000s spent on our trip to Hawaii and almost ruined Maui completely. I would never ever recommend renting,buying or dealing with this company EVER!
