Love this place! Service is so good and the owners/workers are so friendly! The one downside is that despite being really new to the neighborhood this place isn’t accessible to people in wheelchairs or other mobility issues. It would have been cool to see them smooth out the step and have it be a ramp instead so that everyone can access the cafe.

Pleasant place in the neighborhood for a coffee and some snacks.The coffee is excellent. They were brewing new batch when I came, so I got the freshest drink! Service is nice and friendly.One star discounted as I ordered one regular coffee and one mocha, they charged me for this. But when I got home I found out that they brewed for me two regular coffees.Guys, you should be more attentive to the orders. You have a nice place! Please keep this impression ☺️

This is probably one of my favorite places Ive been. The coffee is good, the food is incredible, and the staff is so nice. When I went it was really busy and I had to wait but it was so nice out and I got a donut for the wait. Cant wait to go back!

Few thoughts:- The owner has deeply considered everything on the menu, coffee and food. Ive tried multiple entrees and drinks, and each have been delicious and made with high quality ingredients. No throwaways for the sake of bulking up the menu.- The owner himself (as well as the employees) is an absolute gem who genuinely cares about people and the neighborhood.- The place is beautifully decorated and has an interesting color scheme (a bright, nearly highlighter yellow), but theyve made it work well.- The outdoor seating area is quite nice, particularly since its shaded by tall trees.

My girlfriend and I have had two really good experiences at Hybrid since it reopened downtown a few weeks ago. The food is delicious. I especially liked the Belgium waffle, bacon, egg, and cheese, but everything we’ve had so far has been fantastic. There is enough room out front for outdoor eating or just relaxing and having a coffee. Everyone working there is welcoming and nice. Also, had a great conversation with the owner Evan. Awesome addition to downtown JC!

Love Hybrid Coffee and Kitchen. Visited a few times since they’ve opened. Beautiful spot with a great atmosphere whether you’re sitting indoors or outside. The staff is super friendly. Evan makes the most amazing latte. The Belgian BEC is crazy good. Really happy you guys are Downtown. My new go to spot.

I will join the chorus of people here who are singing praises for Hybrid. Since moving from the Heights, this place has seriously stepped up downtown JCs café scene and is my new favourite coffee shop in town.Their lattes are excellent and they have a good selection of pastries & brunch items. Im a fan of their acai bowl, waffles, bread pudding and lemon blueberry donut. Cant wait to try their other pastries out. Highly recommend and dont forget to take advantage of their loyalty program 😉

30 minute wait for bacon bits and an egg between 2 waffles. Crazy amount of plastic waste. Coffee was good but everything was just too expensive for what it was.

Best coffee in town. I thought perhaps the martini shaken iced coffee drinks might be a gimmick? The end justifies the means however, and I award Hybrid best coffee in Jersey City. Worth a trip.

Coffee was great, if slightly on the pricier side.If thats all I got here, I wouldnt bother to write a review and would happily return eventually. But I also ordered breakfast and it took forever - nearly 30 minutes to prepare an acai bowl. Some blended acai topped with chopped fruit, granola, and peanut butter. Tasted great if Im being honest but not exactly painting the Sistine Chapel either. The place wasnt even THAT crowded. Had I known it would take that long, I would have just walked down the street, bought the ingredients at the grocery store, made the bowl myself, and saved myself some money. Or at least ordered it to stay since the tables inevitably cleared up while I was waiting. May stop by to grab a coffee again if I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and my mood brightens, but the food was just an expensive disappointment.

Overall - great place! The staff (seems like the owners) are very friendly and care about their clients. Have a couple suggestions from a customer’s perspective to go from very good to fantastic: 1) the acai bowl was tasty but completely frozen and that’s why it felt like it was premade (not sure whether that’s true!). 2) the acai bowl and granola dish came in plastic boxes even though we dined in - it would be nicer if it came in proper ceramic bowls like e.g. the avocado toast came in. 3) for the granola bowl, we were asked if we wanted the banana which was an extra charge - it feels a bit unnecessary.. I would suggest to either charge the full price at once or just don’t charge for the banana. But overall, great coffee, cosy environment, great staff! Would come back.

Loved everything about our visit to Hybrid! The interior design is beautiful (LOVE the old sewing machine takes). The food is delicious, highly recommend the avocado toast (must do bacon), but every food item we have had is 10/10. Flat white was the best I’ve had in the heights. Every time we have visited it’s consistently good.Such lovely service and the passion behind Hybrid is refreshing. I recommend stopping by, and really hope more learn about this hidden gem.

We had the French toast, egg in a basket and hot latte.Everything tasted great and was fresh. The presentation is nice also. The only thing is thesyrup portions are a little small. We will be back again!

A very welcome addition to the neighborhood! Coffee is good. The food is a work in progress and is the reason for my 4 stars. For example, the avo smash is a big miss - it’s on a rather sweet and oily french toast (a toasted sourdough would have been much better) with questionable sweet/spicy sauce drizzles on top of the avocado 🤨. Keep it simple guys - I will return.

The best coffee Ive had, not once, and not twice. The coffee is continually comforting to me, my body and stomach (with and without the spectacular oat milk that fills my cups) in whatever way I may drink.On top of main product, the vibe of the cafe is great place to relax or focus on whatever needs to get done... with whatever fresh baked pastries next to you.

Best. Flat. White. Ever!! Wow. Evan made it so easily as he talked about his love for design, the coffee truck/shop and how he designed the 2 Crepes shop in JC. My experience was amazing for such a quick walk-in. Ive added this to my favorites in JC and will be back for more coffee. Oh and I devoured their chocolate chunk chip cookie 🤤🤤 #SupportLocal

Recently found this place and I am obsessed with it already! It is such a cute place that can be easily missed if you arent actually looking for it. The owner is a sweetheart and the coffee is yum! Everything is baked in house as well and very delicious.

The pictures of the food you see on the map is not for show, that is legitimately what they serve. The food, service, and atmosphere was absolutely beyond what anyone else has attempted. Theyd go out of their way to see if your coffee was too sweet, bitter, or too strong or light. AND fix it. They absolutely care and I wouldve tried to work for them if I werent a tourist. Absolute lads.

The service is absolutely amazing. The environment is very warm and welcoming. The staff are genuine, kind, and willing to make your experience worthwhile. The food is extremely delicious and fresh, definitely try the chicken soup! Great addition to the Jersey City heights neighborhood!

Amazing spot! Food is freshly prepared, And the coffee is excellent! Ambiance is really great as well to study, have a meeting or just catch up with an old friend! So needed for this area, cant say enough about their Oatado drink as well!

Cappuccino wasnt bad, a little milky for my liking! Decent space with lots of room, would definitely go back. Tip: its open until 5pm on Saturdays, the google map hours are inaccurate.

Absolutely love this cafe. Warm and cozy in the winter. Perfect background music, not too loud. The coffee is great, the staff very friendly. Theres free water and wifi and enough space to bring your laptop for work. Different seating options are available and youll find a couch and lounge chairs apart from the usual tables. Its quiet during the week. Clean bathrooms, a fire place in the winter, and even a Pacman arcade game for that work break. I enjoyed their porridge and avocado toast. Both come with a special twist here. Will definitely be back.
