Just the right place to have perfectly made coffee/tea and yummy bakery item.

I love this place! It’s my go-to coffee spot most mornings. My favorite thing to get is the salted caramel cold brew! They have a lot of vegan and healthy breakfast options which is great. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Great place to do work or just quickly pick up a coffee!

Moved to NJ area recently and totally loving the breakfast options at Gregory compared to Starbucks - smoothies, oat bowls and vegan egg sandwiches. Interior design of cafes are modern and nice too !

They have a flat white on the menu but don’t seem to know what it is or how to make it. Just google it and you would know. Or strike it off the menu. :)

I really like the fresh bakery and service here - my go to place for working and studying. However, the owner really needs to look into intermittent internet issues. Spoils the overall great customer experience. Coming from a loyal customer who buys from this place almost everyday.

I so want to give this place five stars. The location is perfect: you have a wonderful view of the New York city skyline and access to the Grundy Park pier—I suggest grabbing a pastry and a drink and sitting on the pier. The food and coffee are both delicious.Im taking away one star because the management has been quite irresponsible. The restroom was broken for an extended period of time, and if you plan to stay for awhile with your book (as I like to do), it makes for an unfortunate experience. The manager on staff in the mornings is rude and dismissive of concerns you raise (though the other employees are warm, and Ive enjoyed getting to know them in the mornings).

Vegan options in the breakfast and lunch. Some health drinks are also available if you dont want coffee. Although the place is known for very good coffee as well.Power snacks are also available and some very tasty unhealthy 😋 options as well, like a massive chocolate cookieNice decor, good staff clean place with good seating space and nice view of hudson river and freedom tower.

Recently my experience at Gregory’s was quite disappointing, but today’s order was the last straw! I understand when it gets busy there’s no time to make fancy swans or hearts, but my two hot lattes didn’t have any foam at all! They looked just like the liquid you get from mixing instant coffee with milk. It also tasted watery, I just threw them away after one sip. So sad Gregory’s standards dropped so low, I used to love their coffee a lot :(

They offer a wide variety of delicious pastries, tasty breakfast or lunch picks & tons of drink choices. The environment is clean & the staff is super sweet and attentive. I enjoyed the subtle decor throughout the shop. They even have some fun merchandise to purchase ! Check them out ! Definitely enjoyed !!

A quite place in a busy area. When you need a cup of coffee or some sweets. Here is more welcoming than the bank.

This place is a great place to hang out and enjoy a cup of coffee get a great view of the skyline and enjoy a busy working atmosphere. The food I would say is definitely overpriced, I dont appreciate an $8 piece of toast but the taste of the food is good. The veggie sampler is pretty good and the sriracha is a good addition. Overall its not a bad place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee not a lot of choices and overpriced but a good once or twice visit. Also has free wifi, always a plus.

Absolutely one of the worst coffee shops I have ever been to. Not only did the drinks taste very bad, the food was poorly made and the tables were extremely dirty. The service was below par and it was not a conducive environment to sit with a friend and get work done. Would not recommend!!

What a beautiful place this is! The coffee was perfectly brewed to the point where the flavor of the bean was stuck in the expresso.The latte was served in the correct temperature, the foam was proportional to the coffee and to the brim of the coffee cup. The barista there, does an amazing job.Damn! That was an interesting place to have coffee. Their cups though are very well designed.

Fantastic pastries and great selection of teas. However, I would not recommend the Avo open sandwich! After almost a 30 minute wait I was expecting an amazing breakfast treat, but it was far from amazing! The bread seemed stale and the avocado was brown and did not have a good taste,definitely not for me. I will stick to the baked goods.

This one is by far one of the less crowded, relaxed and scenic locations of the best of coffee in the US “Gregory’s Coffee”. Nice music adds to the nice decor making it a pleasant ambience. Sit and relish your drink inside sipping the great music along or walk or jog by the Hudson River shore enjoying the NYC skyline.

Went in at 3:45. Got to the front of the line at 3:55. Thats when they told me they are closing in 5 minutes and have no coffee left and would not make me any. No idea what they thought I was in line for or why they didnt tell me sooner.

I wrote on the website to their corporate office but I also wanted to come on here to let everyone know how much I love Gregorys Coffee and I wanted to give a special Shout Out to 2 wonderful employees at this location, Tee and Cee Cee!!! I used to order via seamless/doordash but recently started to go in for pick up thru the app and I just want to say how WONDERFUL they are! Today wasnt the first time... they always give me amazing customer service experiences! They go above and beyond and are the reason I keep coming back and also share the app with my friends in Jersey City and Hoboken. They really make Gregorys feel like a small, intimate place of business and care about their customers and their experience. Cheers to them! PS the coffee is delish and their vegan scramble sandwich is *chefs kiss*

Vegan options and amazing coffee, what better? My wife ordered us the new Vegan Supreme sandwich and it was amazing.

They serve a dark roast so there’s this bitterness, but it’s not unpleasant like the coffee chain across the road. Paired with a chocolate flavor, I find it absolutely delicious, and I’m not normally a coffee drinker. So, I’ve had the Nu Brew, which lacked the hazelnut and the chocolate I expected. There was a subtle chocolate flavor and I believe they blended it to create this creamy texture, plus the cold brew was tasty and I enjoyed that cup (courtesy of the five dollar credit they gave me upon downloading the app!)Next, I tried the iced mocha with almond milk and it was wonderful. Nice chocolate flavor complimented the bold coffee. Delicious! And, the cranberry coconut scone was fabulous as well. Plenty of salt to highlight the richness (not sure which oil base they used, and I’m far too lazy to look it up at the moment). The cranberry was sour and cut through the sugar and rich flavor. The coconut flakes subtly lended a light, almost tropical flavor. Top was crunchy, inside was moist. This was my first time with a vegan, gluten free scone and color me impressed!Will definitely try other menu items soon!

I was having the absolute worst day of my life I left my phone with all my money and Id on the light rail, all I wanted was a cup of coffee, without money I didnt know what to do, I first went into starbucks and asked and the barista rudely told me no...it was a different story when I went into Gregorys, Tee Tee and CeeCee treated me so nicely and bought me a coffee and let me tell you that one little act of kindness was more than appreciated. Especially in a world like this, kindness goes so far, I went back later that day and she didnt even want to accept the money. I do have to say the coffee was delicious and I will make Gregorys a part of my routine now. Your employees are professional and kind. Thank you for showing compassion, that up of coffee made the difference and my day went so much better after that. Thank you 😊 Tee Tee and CeeCee!!!!

This place is conveniently located close to exchange place path station with great views of the HudsonMy personal favorite is the activated charcoal lemonade. Ive also had the in house matcha cookies from time to time and theyve been pretty darn good!!pro-tip : try their aerated coffees .. I doubt youll find them elsewhere

I come here for my coffee everyday. The coffee is really nice. It is located at exchange place water front. They have good amount of seating capacity. Its clean and offers nice view of the Hudson and the New York city. The staff is ever smiling and welcoming.

Been going to this place for a couple of years and I still really enjoy their drinks and the atmosphere. Both Aaima and Autumn are so friendly and consistently provide wonderful customer service for an overall solid coffee shop experience. The drinks are also always on point!

The power bites are great, with my favorite being the peanut butter banana bite. Just this week I decided to try the avo toast. Ive been going to Gregorys for years, and not sure how I waited this long to try the toast! Absolutely amazing! Please dont judge the picture I posted with half of the toast gone, I didnt realize I would be obsessed before I bit into it! If you like a little spice, this is for you. Clearly - I think its a must try!

Pleasant great alternative to S**rb**ks. Customized coffee with pastries that are quite good. They even provide lemon water to cleanse your palate a nice touch. Ample seating and a nice view. They are just as pricey as the shop that they are an alternative for.

Great place. The coffee was ok but also had an apple fritter and it was the best one I’ve ever had. Would have gotten a 5 star if there was napkins by the condiment bar.

Good organic tea. Employees looks not motivated. They are slow and under-qualified. I know a few employees who are good baristas actually (fast, friendly and can do a good latte). Process is not organized well. Your coffee could be stolen by somebody else if there is long line. You never know how good or bad will your coffee be. Sometimes they could burn the beans or make coffee to sharp or too soft - roulette. Their pastry is over priced.

This location has the best staff ever! It can be chilly in the winter because of its all window walls but the warmth of the baristas outweighs it!! I would come as much as I can.

Very nice coffee and tea choices. The sandwiches and sweet bread or cake selections are perfect for a morning snack while waiting for your train or ferry.

We are from Australia and find it difficult to get the same size coffee as home.The staff knew exactly what we wanted,kneown as a mini late.So close to Hyatt House, were we were staying, so we visited this place often.Friendly staff, nice surroundings and great coffee plus cake etc.

No complaints about Gregorys, other than that its a little pricey (standard fare in the Starbucks era). Staff is typically friendly, and they offer a bevvy of options to suit your specific dietary needs.

When placing pick up order, MAKE sure you triple check your order upon pick up, especially when they are busy. Not doing so, nearly guarantees that items will be missing, I.e. no blueberry muffin, no whip cream in hot drinks, no ketchup, etc... aside from that, it’s a good alternative (good service/good food) to Starbucks and is close to Hyatt regency and Hyatt house.

Ive updated my review and gave 5 stars because Gregorys now has breakfast sandwiches so now Im completely happy with them. No complaints, check it out.I love Gregorys coffee. I think the lattes are much better than the Starbucks across the street.The actual location is pretty good too. Ill come here sometimes to work or read because its got the space unlike across the street. I also like that they offer free water and you can use LevelUp

This Jersey City location is located right by the PATH train and around office buildings so you best bet they have a busy rush hour when commuters are rushing in to grab that cup of coffee before work. However, service is great, workers are efficient and the place is clean.
