Had trans rebuilt here for a 2006 Chevy HHR a few years ago. Never got to drive it until recently, due to my search for external parts to restore the cosmetic side of that vehicle. Havent even put 2k miles on that trans, found missing mount bolts, engine light came on for 2nd gear solenoid, and now reverse is gone.We are going to see what they have to explain about it or repair it, without robbing me. Their communication was tight with me during this rebuild. As far as the Quality, I may have misunderstood their definition. Trans fluid leaking from radiator, they replaced radiator and rebuilt the transmission, plus put a New Battery to fix the power steering, didnt change the lack in power steering. Not certain if the radiator had even been changed, car drove perfect with no engine lights on, on its 3rd 6hr out of town trip. The engine light came on, and car went into limp mode. Wonder if those shifter solenoids get changed during a rebuild.

Very honest and up front about the cost and issues with the 2012 Altima and how many they had already had in the shop that week prior to mine. Went above and beyond to see if it was just a easy fix instead of the transmission. Unfortunately it was the CVT with barely 112,000 miles on it. Very disappointed in Nissan !!! Very impressed with the service and communication with Quality Transmission, but decided it was not worth the cost to fix it to end up with more issues with the CVT transmission ultimately.

I can’t say enough good things about Jerry and the rest of the team at Quality Transmission. Never a good time for your car to break down, especially something like a transmission, but they got me in quick and diagnosed it within a day. Jerry is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail what was wrong with my car despite him being extremely busy! Although I decided to call it quits on my car and forgo putting a new transmission in for a 2nd time, Quality Transmission will no doubt get my service in future if needed. I’ll for sure recommend him to all of my friends! Also being greeted by his two friendly dogs is always a plus :)

They have done 4 or 5 transmissions for me. Only one issue and it was taken care of immediately.I have a trailblazer that is old but good. It travels all over the US. I was rear ended by a drunk driver. The transmission went out a week later. The wreck caused electrical issues. I thought it was caused by that. My dad actually drives thr thing.Im in the body shop business. Im know for doing good work and doing the right things.So I explained my case why insurance should pay.The manager said thats not what happened. I said yes it did. He explained how the transmission functions in the case of mine. He said I wont be a party to anything dishonest.Now this old trail blazer most folks would not spend a couple grand on a 2002. But this one is perfect for what it does.I told then fix it. Thats the kind of people you want to do business with.

I cannot recommended QT enough. I have a more rare car and they were able to take complete care of what was needed. They ended up doing a lot of work and communicated with me what was needed and why every step of the way. Their prices are more than worth the level of service that is provided, and theyre very reasonable. Being able to talk to the tech who worked on the car is a major plus also. If you ever need any transmission work done give them a call. They wont disappoint.

Just stopped by to have a check engine light checked and the Austin was AWSOME!!!!!! Had it checked filled and recomend some repairs that might make the problem better. When I talked about a trip he was honest and talked about his own problems when traveling and shops that RIPPED people off and wants that to be avoided!!!! Great to hear that from a real mechanic.!!! Transmission doing same thing barely made warranty 1700 almost 1800 dollars late would find another place

They gave me a solid quote up front without a bunch of BS. They were very helpful and actually pleasant to talk with. Ive had my truck back a few weeks now and it is doing great. If I ever need transmission work again, I will only go to them.

After another shop changed out a perfectly good part [that didn’t fix the problem]...and charged me a fortune, I called Austin. It took a little bit, but the QT Team figured it out. Simply The Best

Took my truck in after it started shifting hard and sometimes hanging up if first and reverse. After inspecting in two days in a row they told me it shifted hard into first but nothing that seemed odd. (A transmission shifting hard is NOT normal!!). Frustrated I pick it up. I think they down more time turning my air conditioning on full blast and finding them a good rock station and blaring music in my truck rather than checking a transmission. Music was so loud in my truck when I started it that it startled me. Drove truck home (about 12 miles) and wasn’t sure if I was going to make it home. Had it towed to a different transmission shop the next day. They got me fixed up rather quickly and recognized what was wrong immediately. Quality was anything but quality! They were a total joke!! Told me it was fine. They obvious can’t tell a good transmission from a bad one.

I am working on restoring an old car. I telephoned Quality Transmission before I removed the engine and transmission from the old car, inquiring if their workshop was up to the task of rebuilding it. I was told that it would be no problem. Therefore, once the transmission was out of the car and unbolted from the engine, I brought the transmission and the torque converter to them, at lunch, on the 22nd of April this year.Again, I know that the transmission is an old and obsolete one; however, I was told by the proprietor that he probably had most if not all of the possible replacement parts on hand in his loft storage above the shop office. On the 22nd of April, I paid him a $300 removal and inspection fee. I paid that money to demonstrate my seriousness and to make him understand that I wanted the job done.During the next several months, I checked with the proprietor of the shop to see how the work was progressing. I had told him that I had no idea the condition of the transmission, as I had not driven the old car at all before I purchased it. It was a month before his technicians disassembled the transmission to even see what repairs were necessary. Once into the job, it was revealed to me (on my own initiative to find out what was required) that the wear and damage was extensive, and most of the hard parts (bands, drums, pumps) would need replaced. I asked if the parts were on hand or could be acquired. I was told that it would be helpful if I assisted in the hunt for replacement parts. I did just that.I was able to find one of the bands, or so I thought, and I purchased it and had it shipped to me. When I took it to the shop, I had to wait two days before I was told that the technician would be unable to use it, and that the proprietor would be sending my worn bands out to be re-lined. Meanwhile, the one of the drums were found to be not usable and I hunted it down, put the supplier in touch with Quality Transmission in order to ascertain the correct fitment, paid the supplier, and had the part shipped directly to Quality Transmission. A week later, August 14 this year, I paid the shop and picked up my transmission and torque converter.I realize that this was a massive, difficult rebuild but I was kept very much in the dark on the progress of the work. I also expected that the shop, once asserting that the work was within the ability and scope of what they could do, would be much better at finding replacement parts that I would be. I have not yet installed the transmission back into the car, so I cannot yet certify the quality of the repair. I will amend this review once I test the transmission out.

Quality transmission worked on my 1990 Volvo. They put a clutch kit and a mount. They did a great job getting the old girl back up and on the road. Honest, hard-working and reasonable. I would highly recommend to anyone with transmission issues. They back up what they do.

Knowing you need transmission work is never a cheap project, so needless to say I was fearing the worst when I took my car in to be worked on. But once I came across the people at Quality Transmissions I had a feeling everything would be alright. Sure enough, the caring and courteous manner of the staff made it as pleasant of an experience as you could hope for. Thank you for your hard work and concern for your customers.

They overhauled my trans in 3 days. that’s was great. price was very fair too! their guys have a good reputation I’ve heard and they just proved it to me. Austin at Quality Transmission was a great help. Looked at my vehicle today that had no throttle response at high speed. He told me he wasnt going to work on the transmission until I had a split positive battery cable clamp I had temporarily secured with a hose clamp fixed properly. He directed me to Jacksonville Alternator & Starter for repair. $33 later and just an hour later and they had me fixed up. Once back on the road, the problem was related to electrical voltage and everything if fine. Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my vehicle and give me your honest opinion!

This is a great place to bring a car for tranny work. I have been here before and will return again. They had my wife’s car and did great. Mine won’t go backwards now and so I took it to them. Ive been having issues with my new car which the dealership wont cover. I called Quality Transmission and spoke with Austin. I took it right in to him and he checked it out. Let me know what all my options were and also told me the worst case scenario. I even spoke with him throughout the weekend because my transmission actually did completely go out. They popped a axle supposable back in my daughters car for she could get home and it didnt make it home. I dont think they really did anything and we broke down on the way home. Not very apologetic.

Austin and the people at Quality Transmission made the traumatic experience of a transmission failure one that I will not forget soon. They were very friendly and understanding, immediately responded with a tow truck to the location and brought my car back to the shop where they diagnosed the problem and explained what would need to happen and a very accurate estimate of the cost involved. Once given the to ahead for the repairs, they completed the transmission change in less than one week. I would highly recommend this repair facility to anyone with transmission problems. They know what they are doing and they stand behind their promises. Something that is a rare find these days.

This is the place to go if you need some work done on your car. They have been very nice and answered plenty of my questions. I have friends that have used them and we are both very happy with their work.

I had some recent transmission trouble today and broke down pretty close to this shop. I was relived to find that I did not need an entire new transmission; they fixed the problem for only a few hundred bucks. The service experience was a great one and I would definitely use them in the future.

3 days, thats all it took for them to fix my transmission. My friend was telling me about them and how great of a reputation they have and they truly proved it to me. They were responsive to all of my concerns with my vehicle and they were extremely nice above all.

I feel awful I haven’t left these guys a review sooner! I was headed to Little Rock from Jonesboro when my transmission went out on the highway. Pulled over and while waiting on the tow truck started looking up transmission shops. Quality Transmission was the closest and I called them explaining my situation, everyone was on lunch and they had a lot going on but they promised to get my car in and looked at ASAP. I had my dog with me, all the guys in the shop were awesome with him and let us hang out in the waiting room as long as we needed til I figured out what I was doing. I unfortunately needed a new transmission (don’t buy anything from Nissan with a CVT!) and they promised to do whatever they could to make sure it was complete by end of business day the next day. One of the guys gave me and the dog a ride to a nearby motel, and they kept in touch through the whole process, even sent one of their mechanics to pick up my new trans from the dealer in his personal vehicle since it would take too long waiting on Nissan to deliver. Car problems are always an unpleasant experience but they went above and beyond to help me get back on the road and make the process as smooth as possible.

Once again my engine light came on. I called Austin at Quality Transmission and he said he would see what was wrong with it. It turned out to be something other than transmission but he said they could fix the problem. In less than a day my car was ready and problem fixed. I would not trust my car to anyone else. Austin was awesome, I live in Pine Bluff and work in NLR, my car broke down on my lunch break.I had no idea what happened but I assumed it was my transmission because I was unable to use the gear shift. I called the tow truck but in the mean time I called the closest transmission shop and it was Quality Transmission in Jacksonville. Austin explained everything to me including the worst case scenario. So, I just assumed it was my transmission, but received a call from him Monday morning asking me to pick up my car. I was thankful when he told me that I didnt need a transmission, but I had an axle that broke. I told him that if he didnt care or was money hungry, he could have easily gotten $2K out of me but he didnt and Im very thankful. I recommend him to anyone because he and his staff has a caring attitude and great customer service. My car was stuck in limp mode so i took it into them for the advertised free diagnosis and it took them 3 weeks to get back to me just to tell me they wanted 3 hours of work at 95 an hour to further diagnose it and then they once again strung me along and lied about actually doing anything to my car just to call me weeks later to say my tranny was burned up. Long story short they had my car for over a month, did not communicate at all and lied about my car multiple times. Not to mention that it runs worse than when i dropped it off. I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will i ever return.

Rich was great and explained all in detail. Repair too soon to say. Austin and the female reception are just rude and need lessons from rich.

Id just like to say that while traveling back home to Las Vegas,NV., last summer in late June, my van transmission started slipping outside of Jacksonville, AR.. I checked my navigation and it gave me a few transmission shop locations. I took a chance on Quality transmission. Their staff was friendly & knowledgeable, and their shop was clean & professional. My transmission was toast due to a drive line being too short for my 12 lift, 4WD van. BUMMER!! Austin, and his team worked overtime to get me a new transmission and have my drive line extended. Those guys stayed late to get me out, and three other customers before the 4th of July wknd. That helped me get on the road and make it home for the 4th. Drove all the way back home, and currently have about 7500 miles on the transmission with NO problems. Thanks Austin for going out of your way to get me home. If you ever come to S.E.M.A. again, call me and Ill pick you up in my monster van with your monster transmission.

I chose Quality because of the good reviews, so what happened? I took in my sons car to have the trans looked at. It had a bad leak and was not shifting like it should, but it was running and driving. We drove it to Quality. We were given a price range between about $500 to as much as $1600. They had 10 days to get it done before my son had to return to college. No problem they said. 6 days later I get a call. Im thinking its ready to be picked up. No, they called to tell me they finally looked at it, and its going to need a complete rebuild...now the price range is $1600 to $1800. Its day 9 and I have heard nothing. Hes supposed to leave the next day. So I had to call them, and it isnt ready. Im promised it will be ready the following morning, a Saturday. Well, that comes and goes, no phone call, and no answer when I call. Finally, I get a call Saturday afternoon that its ready for pick up. We go to get it, the cost is $1750, and that is supposedly including some credit for the spare transmission that I gave them with the car. It seems to shift pretty harsh, but its been a while since the trans worked perfectly, so I figure its just me. My son postponed leaving until Sunday so I could fix a valve cover leak that the trans shop mentioned. Glad I did, because what I discovered was NOT good. I found the VSS plug broken and just laying on top of the tail shaft housing. This was causing the hard shifts. They were aware of it being broken, because it looks like they tried to secure it with a zip tie, but it apparently fell off before the first drive. By now its too late to take it back to the trans shop, and I didnt want to have it back there anyway for another week for a simple fix. Fortunately I found one at OReillys for about $10.00, but that should have been fixed by Quality, not me. Especially after I just plunked down $1750 for what was supposed to be a complete rebuild. So I looked around to see what else was overlooked. Unfortunately, I found more; The shift selector bracket that mounts to the trans had only two of the three bolts installed, and only one was tight. The bolt that attaches the shift cable to the shift selector was loose, not even hand tight! It most likely would have fallen off while driving, preventing the transmission from being shifted back into park. The rest was relatively minor, but worth mentioning because they could have led to problems later on. The transmission wiring harness had not been routed properly, and none of the plastic push-in retainers had been reinstalled. The last thing I found was a vacuum line leading to the air cleaner hose did not have the clamp installed. Was there more that I missed? If I find this much wrong with parts I can see, what horrors are lurking inside the transmission with all the parts I cant see? The following Monday I called Quality and talked to Austin, the owner. He apologized, but he didnt offer to pay for the the time and money I spent repairing their mistakes. I didnt really expect that, but I did expect him to ask what I wanted done about it. I would have settled for a longer warranty, just in case the work inside the transmission was of the same quality and attention to detail as the work outside the transmission, but he didnt ask. He did promise to get to the bottom of this and give me a call back. I never heard from him. He seems like a nice guy, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but without any follow up on his part, I didnt get the chance.

IThey told me it would take 4 to 5 days to fix my truck it took them 8 days. I paid them $3100 for a rebuild transmission when I got my truck back the cross member that holds the transmission in the truck, the bolts were put in but the nuts were completely backed off they never tightened them down the gear shift linkage was not adjusted correctly you had to put it in 2 to get it in drive and nutreal to get it in reverse I take it back to them they still havent fixed it correctly. This was in March last month i put my truck in 4wd and the transfercase is popping bad I put it on a lift and there was a ounce of fluid in my trasfercase turns out they never put any fluid back in it so I have a wrecker haul it to their shop and they wouldnt own up to not doing their job right. Now its costing me $400 out of my pocket. I would not recommend this place to any one I was very unsatisfied with their work.

They rebuilt my transmission in my truck and had to take it back twice because it was leaking then the torque converter they put in went out again. But they complained about other things that were supposedly wrong with it but when I picked it up the problems it had were fixed.

I had a transmission rebuilt there, and I have had to take it back three different times now bc the work was not satisfactory and I continue to have problems.
