I’ve had good experiences in the past but the last time was pretty disappointing. I asked for my warm AC to be checked, and dropped it off at closing on Wednesday evening. By Thursday morning 9AM they called and said they checked AC, added refrigerant, and it was good to go. When I picked it up, the AC was warm from the second I left to when I got home 10mins later. There always could be other things at play, but in this case, it felt like the service was rushed and not quality controlled. So ultimately, I paid for a service that was not completed as promised.

We took our van in when we were on vacation. We picked this auto shop because it had good ratings and it was close by. They did right by us, got the problem fixed, and we never had problems with it again. They are doing the regular maintenance for us on our daughters car, since she lives in the gr area. Always good to find an auto shop that knows what they are doing and is trustworthy!

In the past, I have found that the cost of their services is very reasonable compared to other car maintenance shops in the area.My car broke down on a Sunday evening due to low coolant levels. I towed my car to Thomson’s and early Monday morning I received a call that my car was ready for pick up. I am so appreciative of them fitting me in at the last minute. And they got the work done so fast! I will always bring my car here.

Brought my car here to get some exhaust work done and i would have to say my car sounds like its brand new. No disappointment whats so ever. Would have rated this 5 stars had they scanned the check engine light thats been on like they told me they would.

Ive been using them a couple of times now and they do some great work there. I had a substantial amount of work needed on my town and country and they offered some fair pricing. They also were very friendly over the phone and explained everything that needed to be done and how much it would cost.Its hard finding a place to go and not feel rip off afterwards. Im lucky I found this place.

I went to Monro Brakes on 28th they tried charging me 1200 and told me all my brake lines needed to be replaced. Then I got my truck looked at Thomsons auto and Only 2 brake lines needed replacing for less then half the price. They are very professional and honest. I can definitely say I wouldnt not take any of my vehicles any where else but Thomsons Auto Repair. Thank You Very Much!!

I went to this shop for several years after moving up from IL. They are very considerate of your time, excellent customer service, and they dont try to sell you or charge you for things that you dont need. Im moving back to IL shortly, but I would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone on the SE side of Grand Rapids looking for somewhere to get their car repaired and maintained.

Took my car in for a brake inspection because of a scraping noise (my regular mechanic whod installed them Fall 17 wasnt available), figuring it might be a caliper issue. They hauled my car in, and then 30 minutes later the Manager comes out and writes me up 6 varied pricey cost estimates ranging from full brake system replacement of $850, to just pads and calipers for $288, with rotor rotation as optional, but recommended - claiming they could not just replace the worn brake pads, because of insurance or liability or whatever. So I went elsewhere for a 2nd inspection, and they installed my new pads, and did an alignment and rotor rotation for $120. I wont trust this place again.

Ripp off!!!! I got job done for my car blower motor resistor, and the charged me $280 and all the other mechanics charge $160-190.. dont waste your time guys
