I am very pleased with the service and the work this shop performed on my 2011 Lincoln MKT this past week. Kevin knew just what to do to fix it! Thank you!! Chris and Kara were also helpful behind the desk. I thought the pricing was fair and efficiently done, considering todays car service marketplace. I had a blinking check engine light with a sputtering/knocking engine that appeared suddenly. They kept my vehicle overnight this past Thursday (changed a fuel injector and gave a tune-up, among other things) and I was back on the road with that vehicle by Friday.  I have not had any issues driving it since. It could have been much worse, so I will likely be returning to this shop for future service needs.

I had a wheel bearing replaced by someone that put the breaks in incorrectly. This amazing shop reinstalled the brake hardware someone ELSE messed up and never charged me 1 dime! THAT NEVER HAPPENS FOR ME! Drove home to Florida that nite and had the money to do so thanks to this shop.❤

I came in one Friday because my cars catalytic converter broke. They said theyd have one for me the following Tuesday. Nope. They had it the next day.I wasnt available to take the car in until the following Wednesday. It was done within a few hours.About a week later and the repair has held up well. My cars never been quieter. Good group of people here.

I had a great experience. The staff are all very courteous and helpful.. I have an old vehicle with over 200,000 miles. I dropped it off in the evening and was called the next day with an assessment. My truck needed alot of work and the fear was that I had blown a head and any repairs may be in vain. They let me know this and quoted a fair price. I told them to proceed with the work and i am extremely happy with the outcome. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a mechanic that is fast, friendly and fair.

I just had bought new tires at a different shop. Well like a week later I get a screw stuck in one...figures. I called these guys up and they said come on in. I pulled in the garage and they plugged the tire in 2 minutes free of charge. Didnt even have to get out of my vehicle. These might be my new guys.

Towed my car to Franklin Muffler and Brakes for a diagnosis. They called within an hour and diagnosed the problem. Repairs were reasonable and done quickly. I also take my vehicle here for full synthetic oil changes, and the facility is great. They have two service bays just for oil changes, which usually take about 15 minutes. Owner is nice and offers honest work.

Unbelievably disappointing in the professionalism!My 19 year old daughter went in with squeaky breaks on a vehicle with 75k miles. She was quoted between 300 and 500 for break pads... a little high but its a local shop.When I showed up with her to get her car - the total was just under $1,000... When I started asking questions regarding the quote vs actual - it was all excuses... they said her calipers broke when they took them off... her entire system needed replaced - these cars are expensive to repair etc... Not one phone call to update the quote or to explain the need for or approve the additional costs.I feel they clearly were taking advantage of a 19 year old girl and decided to make some extra money and bill us for a complete break system replacement - rotors, pads and calipers...Weve had 4-5 oil changes each for our families 4 cars and although the price is a little high - its a convenient location and I want to support local businesses.Needless to say we will never be back !The receptionist is terrific every time weve been in and in this instance, clearly was embarrassed by the managers decision... to take advantage of a young girls inexperience with car repairs.

This is the mechanic that you dream of. They are trustworthy and quick. I never feel like they are trying to pull one over on me and I always know that my car is in good hands. Their prices are fair and they are good to their customers. I feel more like a neighbor than a customer. They have done a lot of repairs and maintenance on both of my cars and it is never a hassle. They have helped me out in tight situations. I got a flat tire on my way to work one morning and I stopped in to see if they could look at it. They had the car in and the tire plugged in about 10 minutes and they didnt even charge me! I wont take my cars anywhere else as long as I am in Franklin.

A lot of review on Google make it seem like theyre severely overpriced but every time Ive been here they have actually been on the lower end of the estimate costs Ive had from other places. They do their job, they do it quick, and have always been fair and honest with me. I have never had to go back for the same problem.

Was very favorably impressed by the owners of the business. I went in unsure of what I needed to have done to my vehicle. Owner Jim had his mechanics take a look at all parts and came back with a laundry list. Normally this would set off alarm bells,but he insisted on walking me around and under the lift to see what he was talking about. He prioritized the list according to urgent need of repair. We agreed on what could be done with time and budget. He later gave me the list so that even if I went elsewhere,I could still know what needed to be done.I spent a good two hours in the (surprisingly) comfortable waiting area. This gave me a chance to listen and observe Jim and Mrs Jim (sorry dont know her name) dealing with other customers,walk ins, and phone inquiries. They were unfailingly friendly and professional. Two people were told that there was no charge for the service provided. One woman thought she needed her brakes replaced. Some shops would have just taken her money. Jim said there was just dust/dirt buildup. They cleaned it and sent her on her way without billing her anything. I cant promise the same for everyone..but again,I was struck by their decency at this shop. They have been at the location for 15 years they said...must be doing something right. Word spreads fast in Franklin if a business is shady.Go see them!

Been a regular customer for 19 years. Great people, great work, and believe it or not an honest auto repair and maintenance shop. Oil changes without an appointment and for about the same price as buying the oil and doing it myself without the hassle of going to the big chains and BEgging those shops to take the used oil.

I have a 97 Jeep that I just cant seem to part with. I prefer to keep my car in top shape, with no rattling or funny noises. This isnt very easy considering its age. They have always taken the time to find and take care of the little things, as well as major issues. If you want your car repaired, this is the place to go.

I went there but didnt stay. Their oil change for a car that needs synthetic oil was over $64 so went to walmart and got it done for $44. Plus franklin muffler got a large oily footprint in my car but Walmart scrubbed it out. They may be a fine establishment but I cant pay that kind of money

They are my go to guys for auto service. I trust the owner to tell me straight with no hype what my vehicle really needs. Cost are in line and sometimes a bit lower than some of the competitors. The level of service and competence of his techs is excellent. This is not Ben Dovers Garage.

I came in 2nd weekend of September only got right side wheel hub assembly took them 30 minutes to fix and they charged me $430 now the part is less than $100 so how is labor $330 what a ripoff

Super fast oil changes and great service!

I took my car in due to a nasty metal grinding sound on the rear side of my car. I waited about twenty minuets, before they brought in in to there shop. They looked at it for five minuets at the most, then they came in an said they arent quit sure what is, but it could be the struts, and gave me an estimate that would cost 650 dollars. Now being a college student, I dont necessarily have that 650 dollars to spend like that. So later on I took it to my uncle whom is also a mechanic, and found out it was my break caps. Which only cost me 150 dollars for parts, consider Im family. Even still it would have only cost me about 300 at an auto shop So yeah either they didnt know what they were doing or they possibly trying to scam me. Have to admit though they were at least friendly. Gave me a bottle of water cause their air conditioning was out, and it was in the middle of the July heat. So if you have a predicament with your car and your plan on going there to figure out what it is, make sure they take proper measures to find the problem. Or just go to Blekes

Went to have something simple fixed on my car and they tried telling me it was something else causing the problem and was going to cost $2000. Little to say we went somewhere else and they fixed what i said it needed and didnt bother what Franklin muffler said it was and my car didnt have any issues after that. They just wanted to rack up a bill to get money.

If I could give negative stars I would. Absolutely the worst scam of an auto shop I’ve ever been to. To start off, I called and they don’t take appointements, at that point I asked them to diagnose squeaky brake or rotor noise should and was told would take approx. 30 mins. I was the only person at the shop when I got there. Two other customers came by and had there vehicles pulled in immediately. After having my car on the lift with the tires pulled off for over an hour, with no one in sight remotely looking at my vehicle, I started getting impatient. At about an hour and 15 mins later the technician quoted me for $900 dollars. I was appauled. Upon asking further questions he told me I needed brakes all the way around, two rotors in the back, a rear caliper and a brake line. I did the full repair by myself for less than $300. Upon pulling the brakes found that only the back brakes needed replaced. Ended up doing both rear rotors for the sake of equal wear, the rear caliper and back brakes only. This place is absolute trash. Save your time and money, do some simple research on YouTube and stay out of Franklin Muffler brakes and more... complete scam artists. I felt as I was very taken advantage of and disrespected.

I had worked at this place for 4 days, there integrity was so bad I had to quit... they had nothing but offensive anti Chevy jokes posted in the shop, I watched them replace things that didnt need to be replaced, they will put used coolant in your car ( dark yellow rusty coolant ) if you needed coolant.. They have dropped vehicles off lifts and they will leave your car parked outside over night unlocked. I am a certified welder through collage and their exhaust work quality is miserable. They do not unhook batterys before welding, with the battery connected and if you weld on the car you risk frying the computer (learned in collage) I had brought this to their knowledge and they didnt have a care in the world. I watched them weld exhaust leaks on a 2016 Camero SS with after market exhaust, the welds were junk, he also did not disconnect the battery as I has suggested. Thankfully the computer was not harmed. I Would not trust them with anything more than break job or an oil change
