I thought my transfer case was bad, but after bringing it in, it turns out I was wrong. They didnt nickel and dime nor try to get the most out of me. They were extremely honest and actually cared about helping me figure out what was wrong with my vehicle - even though they wouldnt be doing the work. It doesnt get more honest than these guys. I had a great experience with everyone who works here. Did great work for a very reasonable price. They were able to remove a seized in axle from my differential and install a spool and new ring and pinion set in my AE86 differential. Ive been driving/drifting on it for a year now and it works and sounds great! Would highly recommend.

They wanted me to take my diff out and bring it to them. Sorry but if Im going to an experienced shop, theyre doing the work. Im not a differential expert. Every other shop you can just bring the car and have someone do the work. Thats the point of paying for the labor.

I used Differential & Gear to repair the rear differential on my Ford E350 Super Duty. I highly recommend this company if you’re having any noise issues from your differential. They completely rebuilt my differential. This is not a job that most auto shops can perform correctly. This needs to be performed by experts in their field and this is the place to take it to!! Was referred to Differential & Gear by the manager at Napa. I have an 86 4WD w/ a stock W56 trans. The transfer case went out on it & couldnt rebuilt. They found another one (no easy task because Toyota tweaked them every 2-3 years, so there somewhat model specific). I got the impression both Charlie & Matt are honest & go above & beyond-i.e. finding a transfer case on a 32 year truck.

He will send them through friends, to the people who need them.The owner just thanked me 8 months later for the review.I expose competence, and incompetence. In this case it is competence. Pretty decent guys. They seem to know their stuff. They did a custom build for me to get a super solid 4wheeling rig. Its a little difficult to get on their schedule if youre having them work on your vehicle in the shop.

This is my first review I have ever written, I dont throw these out lightly. I only do it because I know the importance of finding someone you can trust when it comes to repairs. I was quoted prices for my Toyota 4runner rear end from my regular mechanic who I have had for 20 years of up to $3000. It could be less but diffidently pushing $2000.I talked to Charlie on the phone and from the start got a sense I could trust him. He quoted me a max price of $1500 and it ended up being $1150.00.I have been a mechanic with an airline for 27 years and know with rear ends and transmissions there are a lot of unknowns that you can be charged for. You are at the mercy of the shop and their credibility. I promise you that you will feel comfortable with Differential and Gear of Fort Worth and Charlie.

Yeah, Im on board too. I dont usually have much to say, but Charley and Matt really are the bomb. I was told up front the worst case scenario could be X. I was okay with that number and planned for it. When I picked my truck up a day early, it was a great pleasure to know plan failure was not this day. I took my 2007 Avalanche to these guys after I attempted, numerous times, to rebuild the rear end myself. They only replaced parts that truly needed to be replaced and did it very quickly. Charlie was very friendly and explained in detail what work was completed and the reason for doing so. Im only a few days into the rebuild but so far everything is great. I would definitely recommend these guys for your differential needs.

I had a loud clanging sound coming from the front axle on my 2010 dodge 2500. Dropped it off at their shop thinking it would be fixed since that is the type of work they do. $1500 dollars later and some new bearings. My truck still made the same sound. Without anymore money to throw at them I looked the truck over myself and found the the U-joint was bad. After the fact that I was told the U-joints looked good. I replaced it myself and it fixed it. I wasted a lot of money and time. I thought this would be a good shop considering the reviews were good. But I had a terrible experience.

Got everything that I hoped for plus some. Got differential gear sets changed on lifted 1/2 ton Z71. Had to have additional parts, and total bill came out much lower than expected. Thought I was going to have to call and let them know that parts had been left off the final bill. Found where I had been charged for the parts after about the 10th time of reviewing the receipt. (I was still in shock of the total bill) HELL YES, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! I will be using this place again for any future needs!

Called Matt about my 06 4runner making noise from the rear axle. He took the time to run the internet to find me the lowest price for parts. I had been told by other shops the cost would be between 2 and 3000.00. Glad I made the call. To my surprise my total was 704.00. I would definitely recommend this shop. If you want the right job done for the right price give Matt a call. Top notch and trustworthy people.

This is an honest shop that will fix only that which needs repair. My pickup was making a whirling noise from differential. They evaluated the problem and gave me a worst case estimate. The final cost was less than half the estimate. Highly recommend this shop.

Hello,I am not one to post comments as I expect fair, competent work wherever I shop. Having said that, I had a very unusual and frustrating vibration problem with my 2003 GMC HD2500 that Differential & Gear of Fort Worth fixed. Aside from a vibration at 65mph, I had no issues with the four 4x4 drivetrain. A local driveline shop balanced the front & rear driveshafts with no improvement. Other shops checked out the reared, brakes, wheels, motor/trans mounts, etc to avail.After many hours and different diagnoses/guesses from several shops, I was referred to Charles (Charlie) C. Jetton of Differential & Gear of Fort Worth. I explained the problem to Charlie as well as my concern about re-fixing components that had either been recently serviced and/or worked properly.Charlie listened to my concerns and took a test drive with me to better understand the issue. After narrowing the issue to the transfer case, we agreed to remove and inspect. Charlies experienced staff went through the transfer case and identified only the components that needed replacement. With over 180,000 miles on the vehicle, I am happy to report that not only is the vibration gone, but his staff was also able to identify an intermittent issue with the front axle solenoid.Because of Charlie and his staffs genuine concern for the customer, I was able to use my vehicle in the recent snowy weather safely. He was very responsive to my questions and calls and delivered my vehicle when promised. I highly recommend Differential & Gear of Fort Worth for your transfer case, differential and manual gear box needs.
