We stopped by the dealership over a month back looking at Tahoes and Suburbans. At that time we decided we would wait a few weeks and order a Tahoe. Fast forward to August and we were ready to order. I set up an appointment with Ryan. I had been communicating with him over the last month about ordering and what was in stock. I found they had a suburban in stock the weekend we went in. When we got there Ryan had the keys ready so we could look at it. He was great through the entire process and we went home that day with my new to me 2021 Suburban. Ryan was super easy to work with and was very informative. Even worked to get us a better rate on our loan. 14/10 would recommend Ryan!

The customer service that I received from Tom Gill Chevrolet, specifically Chris Hensley), was impeccable. I contacted the dealer about a vehicle that I found online and mentioned that I would be driving from Virginia to pick it up. When I arrived, all of the paperwork was ready for my signature and after a quick test ride and inspection, I was out the door and headed back home. I went in for an airbag recall. I asked a price for diagnosing a check engine light and was told $115. At check out you charged $135. You said the extra $20 was for shop materials like rags. Ripoff!You wanted $2,900 for repairs- estimate. No telling the final cost. I can make these same repairs myself for a couple hundred.You would not even give details on what check engine codes were other than driveability. All in all, I don’t consider you reputable and I advise others to avoid you.

Explained I already had a diagnostic yet told they had to perform there own. When Craig told me the same diagnostic I told him I new that tell me something I dont know .....what am I paying you for... Just mentioned more possible solutions. No answers for over 100$ diagnostics.

Brought my car into collision after being involved in an accident. The entire process was extremely easy and I was given the confidence that my car would be fixed back to its original condition. Joey is who provided me the estimate and was there from start to finish making sure I received proactive updates about the status of completion and went above and beyond to also work with service to get my oil changed so I didnt have to make a separate trip. Always remaining professional and courteous. Hoping I never have to use collision services again, however if I would ever need to Tom Gill is absolutely where Id bring my car again.

After going to about a dozen of car dealerships of all types around the area on the past couple of months I have to say that Tom Gill Chevrolet was the most honest that I have found out there.Clear and sincere with the vehicle’s real condition, open to negotiate and friendly.I did not buy the vehicle because they could not meet my best offer and I could not meet their best price but they sure tried to drop that price down a lot more than I have seen in any other dealer that I have visited.Not easy to find honesty out there now days as most dealers are trying to rip you off…

Purchased a new 2010 Chevrolet Z71 pickup because of the advertised 2 free sets of tires for the lifetime that you own the vehicle. We had a new set put on free of charge at 43,000 miles. We had numerous issues with service visits from not tightening up the oil plug and loosing 5 qts to not putting a battery box cover back on.Had to put a piston ring kit in at 59,000 miles. We have had ALL of our service completed at your dealership but when we called to receive our second set of tires at 86,000 miles, we were told that you only got the second set of tires before the warranty or 6 years were up. We were never told this nor was anything in writing.We live in Cincinnati and there are several Chevrolet dealers much closer but because of the free tire incentive, we chose to come to Kentucky.We are now in need of tires and were offered to purchase two and you would give us two.Shame on you for going back on your word. Hunter was absolutely amazing! This is my third car that I’ve bought from Tom Gill, and they continue to be the most amazing/efficient dealership I have worked with. I got into the dealership around 6:30/7 in the evening, and within 30 minutes (maybe less) Hunter had me an approval and had already pulled up a car for me to look at. By 8:30 I was driving off in my new car, with all of the paperwork done. He couldn’t have done a better job. He was so amazing to work with!

This place sold me a lemon. The check engine light came on the night I took it home.. They checked it for me 2 days later... Very long story short they told me that it needs an engine and they are not gonna pay for it... They basically cleared the engine codes long enough for somebody to buy the car. Dont ever buy anything from this place they are a complete rip off!!!

We couldnt have been happier with our truck buying experience. Jordan did a fantastic job of keeping us informed regarding the truck we wanted and making sure we had all the information we needed before driving two hours to the dealership. I had been in contact with multiple other dealerships closer to home but none provided the level of attentiveness and understanding that we experienced from Jordan and the Tom Gill team. We did not feel pressured at all during communication and Jordan and CJ were able to work out a deal that met our budget goal while still providing excellent warranty coverage. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and helpful, making a usually stressful experience very easy and straightforward. My tire was replaced- I’m not a car person at all but I think it was done right although I don’t know if the other tires were checked as I requested. I didn’t not get any type of paperwork about what was done or their findings on the car- this would have been helpful as no one talked to me about the tires. My biggest reason for the low rating was the customer service I received. I was in a HUGE rush because I was on my lunch break to take care of this issue, I am a single mom and struggle to get things done outside of work because of having to pick my daughter up at a certain time and this dealership did not have any appointments in the evening anyway for weeks- I had a sore tire on so I could not afford to wait. Since I knew I would be in a rush I called ahead and told them the situation and if someone could meet me as soon as I pulled up so I could leave with my coworker and make it back to work on time. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and said yes and took all my information over the phone. He said all I would have to do is sign the paper. However when I got there no one had any clue who I was so the communication was poor on a team level. I had to go inside and talk to someone at the desk and one person was able to tell me he spoke to me first on the phone but the gentleman who took my information was with a customer and I would have to wait. Who knows how long that would have been… it was especially frustrating because I called ahead and told both people including the guy I was talking to my situation and they had assured me over the phone but did not do what we discussed and the guy was not pleasant at all. I feel they the paper I needed to “just sign” should have been left with someone at the desk especially because I called when I was on my way and gave and ETA. The man at the desk went back and forth with me and was very rude. Eventually another guy came in and gave me a new paper to fill out and sign. This experience was terrible.

Will never be back. We have a GMC Yukon that has had no issues whatsoever. We simply took it in for an oil change and tire rotation. The process took them an entire day. Then we get a call towards the end of the day stating that they took it upon themselves to “check the alignment”, and that they had supposedly identified an oil leak in a place that wouldn’t be visible to me, and that they wanted nearly another $1,000 to fix those things. I told them no, and that I had not asked them to do those things, and that I didn’t want that type of pressure over a simple oil change. I then pick up the vehicle, and now my AC no longer works. It worked fine when dropped off with them, pick it up a day later and no longer works after they were messing with all kinds of stuff they weren’t asked to mess with.

My GM vehicle broke down while out of town. Because businesses are short staffed, they said the wait would have been a couple of weeks. I explained my situation of dire emergency to get back to Houston and work. Mike, the service advisor was able to squeeze us in just a couple of hours. Although the vehicle I went to look at was needing repairs Tom Gill got me into a similar vehicle. I feel that the dealership being honest up front about finding out the vehicle needing repairs is the most important thing to me. Honesty at a dealership is hard to find. The thing that really sold me was the free oil changes and tire rotations. You can buy cars anywhere but why would you, when this place offers so much more for the money! The loan process was fast and simple with no push to buy extras. I have two more kids to put into cars and I will most likely buy from Tom Gill again.

I don’t feel the communication is very good. Technician tells us the problem - says they will see if extended warranty will pay them nothing at all is told to us. I had to call for an update on the car and see if they would pay around noon if the next day. Told they would and it would be ready soon. If I didn’t call you all then I probably would have no idea about my car. It was there for almost 2 days. Pure lack of communication on your part.

He was more than understanding and gracious for my time spent talking with him. The A/C of my car had not been working properly. It worked and it did not at other times. It worked fine in the morning and did not work at all in the afternoon when the sun is hot. Also I have experienced sudden jerk when accelerating. I brought my car in Tom Gill Chevy service on 7/26. And got the car back on 7/27. I was told that the A/C compressor was failing and got it replaced. Also told that the transmission line pressured was reset.The very next day (7/28) the A/C showed the same problem, I mean it was not fixed at all. The transmission seemed OK but stated to hear strange noise when I make sharp left turns.I was charged for $1,880.58. The A/C compressor cost $474. Tom Gill also charged $876 for labor, which is close to 8 hours. I really wonder why it takes 8 hours for diagnosis and replacing A/C compressor. Tom Gill charged me $1,400 for A/C repair.It is beyond my imagination that Tom Gill charged $1,880 for A/C repair and resetting the t/M pressure line. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!

This dealership is a scam! I was purchasing a vehicle from them, we agreed on a price, put money down and signed doucuments. I was told I couldn’t take the vehicle home that day and had to come back two days later. The day I was supposed to pick up my new car they called and said the sale price was being raised $5,000 because they felt it was worth more than the agreed upon price (which they already signed the purchase agreement with me agreeing to the first and lower purchase price). Don’t waist your time or money they will just take advantage of you!

Very upsetting. I have had to pay to fix car twice in less than 2 years. First time for corrosion and the mechanic could not tell me why when I asked. Second time for rust underneath the car and when I asked how that happened mechanic could not tell me why. I asked if my car had been in a flood and mechanic said I dont know I said well obviously they sold me a car that has had corrosion and rust and did not let me know this before I purchased it.

I came in for an oil change and a tuneup. I expected to be asked if I wanted other services, and was given a list of other items due for service totaling about $1400. Not wanting to spend too much, I chose spark plugs and transmission service, to bring the total to around $400. The clerk was kind of pushing the fuel service, which happened to be the most expensive on the list, but I declined, as I needed to keep the cost down somewhat. As I waited, I was approached by the clerk, and told (in grim, gloom-and-doom tones) that I had 2 oil leaks, and that it was in a dangerous place and could result in a CAR FIRE. To fix these leaks would cost $1,700.00, I was told. This alarmed me. The prospect of burning to a crisp while driving down the road, and the exorbitant cost to repair something seemingly so simple as a leak. But, having done business with your dealership in the past, and aware of some of the borderline unethical techniques your associates sometimes employ in order to generate more sales, I also had my BS antennas up. I was asked if I want to see the leaks, and I agreed. As I looked at the bottom of my car, visions of my car spontaneously combusting as I innocently drove to Kroger to pick up some milk played in my mind. I asked the clerk and the technician, “How many of these model cars have this same issue, give me a percentage.” About 50%, was their answer. “And how many people get these leaks repaired, when presented with your sales pitch?”, was my follow-up question. About 75%, they agreed. Okay. So a lot of people out there driving around with this issue, and I don’t hear a lot of news stories about cars catching on fire while driving down the highway (at least not 2014 models, anyway). So I asked my final question to the both of them: “How many times have you seen a car where this issue resulted in the car catching on fire?” Their answer? Never. They’ve never seen it happen, not one time. I told them no, thank you, I did not want this repair, and if I did ever get it, I would have it done elsewhere. As the clerk walked back with me to the waiting room, I told him that I did not appreciate his attempt to exploit my fear in order to try to generate sales. Your clerks start bringing up fires in trying to get people to buy your services, they had better have the data to back it up. I told him that there are a lot of gullible people who may fall for these fear-mongering sales techniques, but that he didn’t happen to be speaking to one of them at that moment.

Great customer service! Matt Post was my salesperson and he did an excellent job. He wasn’t pushy or insistent. He listened and seemed genuinely interested in solving my issues. The experience at Tom Gill was one of the best visits I’ve had anywhere! As soon as we pulled in, we had immediate attention who put us in contact with Hunter. Hunter was incredibly helpful and patient, as we had our 4 year old son with us, and was willing to let us take the time needed with him.The whole staff was attentive and polite, even coming over just to say hello.
