If I could give no stars, I would. My wife went to car town Kia last month to have a complete change of fluids, get our tires checked and make sure the brake pads were still in working order on our 2018 Kia Sorento. We are moving out of state so we wanted to make sure that the car would make the trip without any problems. First off, she sat there for two hours waiting for the car to be done. My wife spoke to the attendant to have the whole vehicle checked and if we needed new tires, new brake pads, and all the fluids checked and changed, we would be willing to have them do all that work and pay them the money necessary. The attendant came back, after the two hours, and told my wife that we only needed to change the oil and that was all that was needed. Last night, while we were getting ready to start our move, two or three emergency lights came on. Car Town Kia had not even looked at our vehicle, changed any of the fluids etc... I could go on and on. They even billed me for an oil change which didnt happen. I am hoping that, as a consumer, you read my review and take your business to any other car dealership around the area. Car Town Kia gives the worst service imaginable. As we take our car in tomorrow to a mechanic, we hope that nothing has been damaged. And through my review, I am hoping that Car Town Kia loses as much business as will take to repair my vehicle. Such HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
I drove thru the lot, hoping to get a look at a Telluride, there were no new ones or used ones on the lot. Employee told me they were having a lot of trouble getting stock at this time. Lot was crowded with other makes of used vehicles, so it might be worth the trip if you are looking for a used vehicle.
I had to wait up there for 8 hours waiting on them to work on my car, they did a engine flush on a car that’s over 80,000 miles even though you are not supposed to but I did not know at the time and now my car is running 10 times worse then when I brought it to them . And one of the mechanic was very rude when I notice it was not running right and told me that every Kia Soul runs like that. But the girls that work there were very nice .
This place truly believes in helping people! Nathan was the best and the finance advisor, Ms. Johnson, was great! Please go see them if you are in need of a car!

Our car broke down on I95 on our way north. Our car was towed to Car Town. Rex Matthews from the service department was who we were dealing with. Rex informed us that we needed a new transmission. He arranged for a rental car and kept us informed about the replacement. Due to the pandemic it was 2 1/2 months. No parts were available. Rex kept in touch with us every step of the way.Rex’s level of customer service was outstanding. He showed genuine concern and compassion for our unique situation. I highly recommend Car Town Kia. I feel that Rex should be recognized and rewarded for the excellent customer service that he gave to us.
Very patiently worked with me today about my cars wiring issue, its an expensive job and Im not super thrilled with that but they explained the situation well with me... And were respectful and decent about it... Kudos to you folks!

They sold the car we were in the process of purchasing.Highly unprofessional.We had been speaking with a woman for a few days searching for a new car.On Wednesday we found a Sorento that we were interested in .We negotiated the price and payments and were told that they could only hold it till that afternoon.We live an Hour and 45 minutes away we didn’t have time on Wednesday however we went the next day on Thursday afternoon.We were told the car was ready for us to buy and drive off the lot.However we got there and the car was not cleaned or inspected.The Salesman brought out the car for us to look at .Being told since the car had not been cleaned or inspected we could not take it out for a test drive.We were interested and set on buying this car and possibly even trading in our old one we were told to come back on Saturday and that the car would be ready and ours.Saturday morning we got a call asking if we were still coming and we confirmed that we were.15 minutes later the Salesman called and said that the car had already been sold.As soon as the car was cleaned they had put it out on there lot a couple drove by saw it and they were signing the papers at that moment .We were then told that if we had put down money on the car that they would not have sold it, however we were never told to put down any payment because they could not sell the car until they had it cleaned .Admitting it was their fault the Salesman said that he would speak to his sales manager ( whom we had dealt with earlier ) and try to get us a deal.We had heard nothing for two hours calling them back a man said that our salesman was with a another customer and that he would call us back, we never got a call backFrom the time we were interested in the car they have been nothing but unprofessional.promise that the car would be ready and it wasn’t, promising to work out a deal( they also did a credit check which knock down our credit score)When someone else was interested in the car they should’ve called us and we could’ve given them a credit card number and they could have held the car.Being extremely frustrated we called our local Kia dealer.Just so happens we called at the right time and bought a newer model at a better price ( only 30 minutes away).

This dealership has the Worst service and parts department. I’ve been waiting for 6 months to have my car fixed and I’ve made 4 trips but issue still isn’t getting fixed! Always have an excuse. Was told I would receive a call from general manager the next day after my last visit.. and still no call.
One of the best experiences buying a car Ive ever had. Tony, the General Manager was friendly and incredibly accomodating and made sure we were taken care of and comfortable with every aspect of the process. Also had a chance to meet several of the staff who were equally pleasant and helpful including Kevin from the Pre-Owned store. If youre ever looking for a used or new car, this is the only place to go.

Arrived at drive thru service department this morning, and sat in truck waiting over 15 minutes for an associate. NO ONE attempted to come to vehicle, all 3 employees just either stared at me or ignored me. I literally had to call inside the service department in order to receive service. This was my FIRST and LAST time ever bringing a vehicle to thisplace of business. Substandard customer service, unprofessional counter staff, and a very unpleasant experience. Take your money to another dealer who actually appreciates and deserves your money.

Slow and disorganized. Garbage. I scheduled an appointment 2-3 weeks ago for car service. When I arrived at my appointment they stated they didnt have the part and I would have to rebook back at the end of their backup log. Two months later. Save yourself time and go to a different Kia dealership. I called Orangeburg Superior Kia same day and they have the part and had me scheduled a lot faster.
Do not waste your time going to get your vehicle appraised if they reach out to you saying they are paying top dollar for used vehicles. Took my wifes car to them and they offered us 3k dollars less than kbb trade in value. They are liars. Do not fall for it.

Spoke with Larry, he is a salesman at Car Town Kia in Florence. Had a few issues with what he was telling us. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you go. He attempted to sell my daughter a vehicle at $7000 ABOVE MSRP. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE GOING TO ANY DEALERSHIP. Know tricks that car salesman try to tell buyers... ie: if the car is in high demand then you can expect to pay ABOVE MSRP. THIS is NOT standard operating procedure (at least it should NOT Be) ...Beware of Shady DEALERSHIPs tbat practice methods such as this. In NO circumstances should you pay ABOVE MSRP. My next call is going to be to SCDOI to inquire....Automobile Sales People get their licenses from the Department of Insurance (just food for thought)
KIA of Florence has the best service especially with Covid existing. I went online did a inquire about a car. Sophia,texted me from Kia and gave me a price and time frame when to come. Soon as we pulled up, Nathan was right there to guide, service, and entertain us. We were in the car withinin 10 minutes test driving it with Nathan. We bought the car. I was looking to purchase a 2021 TellurideSX Night Fall. I went to my local dealer in Myrtle Beach but it soon became clear they were not going to give me a fair price for my trade (2020 Telluride EX 7600 miles offered 34500). I had purchased that vehicle from Myrtle Beach ( Go figure no loyalty). I called several other dealers including Car Town KiA Florence . I had gotten a decent price from a dealer in North Carolina and was about to go there and order one. I decided to go to Car Town Kia in Florence since it was closer. To make a long story short Florence had one on the lot and the color I wanted. I worked with Patrick and after 20 minutes we had a deal. They gave me 39500 for my trade and their bottom line price on the new vehicle was 2000 under what the local dealer Myrtle Beach was charging on the same vehicle. Car Town was fair on my trade and reasonable on the new vehicle. The staff was pleasant and I felt comfortable with the deal. Sales manager was also reasonable. I drove 62 miles in one direction to save 7000 dollars. I drove the car home and found a crease in the door hard to see but there. Patrick called someone that came to my house in Myrtle Beach and fixed the issue no questions asked. Service was great and convenient.

I must say my first experience buying a new car at a dealership was amazing at Cartown Kia. I originally went to purchase a used Optima. But my salesman Latimore Wilder went above and beyond. To my surprise was qualified for the 2021 K5 and the payment was just amazing. I had no knowledge of how to purchase a car and I was so very nervous afraid and cautious. However Larimore made sure he explained everything in detail from beginning to end. It was like having my hand held through the entire process. I have heard numerous horror stories of how hard it was to buy a car. But Latimore made it so easy and pleasant. I strongly recommend anyone who wants an honest salesman that is very knowledgeable to the ask for Latimore Wilder.... you wont be disappointed. I love my car.

Brought a car 🚗 from this business. Go out of town there’s no jack in the call what so ever. I call Cartown Kia. They said the car didn’t come with a jack. Like really. So please check you car to see if it comes with a car jack. Or you will find out like I did on the said of the road. They good till the BACK PAYS THEM OFF. Didn’t want to give them the one star. If there was a way i could give them a circle instead of a star I would. My beef is with service. I had a simple timing chain tensioner making a slight ticking sound in a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. It ran great, smooth and was very dependable. Of course they suggested replace the whole thing and we have a NISSAN MASTER MECHANIC!! OOO this sounds great, so yes, I did it.$1967 bucks later i get home and the same ticking sound is there. Drive it some, it will settle down. 2 weeks later, the timing chain pops, ruining the engine. I tow it back to them. Now they want me to BUY A NEW ENGINE. They would apply a small amount but Im on the hook for a new engine. I get my car back and tow it home. I asked why it failed and got 3 reasons. First there was too much pressure from the new parts on the old parts. Next the cams were sticking after the repair. Well if that was the case, why didnt the post diagnostic and the mechanic detect that when they tested out the repaired timing chain. The final straw was ENGINE SLUDGE!! i JUST CHANGED THE OIL BEFORE I TOOK IT TO THEM. I also kept meticulous records of mileage. They test drove it 4-5 miles after the repair. When I asked for the reason it failed in writing the service manager Phil got upset and stormed off to find a piece of notebook paper and wrote out his professional service observation on it. I tried to talk with the owner Giordano on several occassions but the clerk and the sales manager kept blocking me and asking me what its about and trying to help me. I told them they couldnt and needed to see the owner. When I finally showed up and wouldnt leave, wwhhallaa, we found him. The way we found him was after the sales manager walked out to look for him, I followed him to his office and he was sitting there. ..he jus got back from lunch. They gave me a fraction of my money back and then tried to sell me a new kia. I had my vehicle towed back home. I wrote and called several times work this out but didnt even get a call back. The oil sludge excuse really got me because I changed the oil, its been running great up until they work on it, and they try to tell me ooo your dirty oil caused your whole engine to fail in less than 2 weeks after we worked on it. Finally, if you watch the oil pan video, you can see they NEVER REMOVED THE OIL PAN BECAUSE THE BOLTS ARE NOT TOUCHED!! NO SIGN OF WORK IT THAT AREA... Please feel free to share.

Believe these reviews when you read them. I went to Kia in Florence for something minor like oil change and new tire, on the way home my TPMS light came on so I said ok maybe it needs to reset but, it doesnt go off. So I called kia back, they say bring it in well take a look at it. Well they said i needed a new censor which cost me $500. Well this happened a total of three more times and the light was still on. In April they said they didnt know what was causing it and they would have a kia specialist come in to look at it, I havent heard anything from them yet, Ive called number of time after that and no return calls, the light is still on to this day. I really feel cheated and like I was taken for my money.
I was treated like I had the IQ OF AN ICE CUBE. THE sales man was a decent guy but his boss, well held told me I had to buy a product I didnt want at a price of $1,400 hundred dollars. Any way I was suppose to pick up my car the next morning, but I called and told the manager I was not going to buy the Paint.insurance his reply was Ill try and work woth you. Well I called Hyundai Dealership. I good a SantaFe fully loaded and I mean loaded. The one at Kia only had a third row seats thats all. I got the same trade in value from Hyundai that Kia offered, and all this for $,1000 more from Hyundai. My car was paid for 2016 I got $15,000 for my car. I wish the one on palmetto was still open!! Was to far away. I had to wait almost 2 hrs to get my oil changed. I have the worst time having my oil changed. I had an appointment scheduled and tried to call and reschedule. I called every number I could and no one answered. I still need my oil changed and a closer appointment

Brought car in for a warranty repair, took them almost a month to diagnose and fix a notification speaker not working. When I got the car back, the dash was put back together wrong and the parts misaligned, plus they left fingerprints all over the windshield. Service manager seems to be bothered by customers.i like my car, just have not had good experience with the service department, ever.
