Had a small electrical problem, they identified a loose battery connection and fixed it for FREE. They could have lied to me and charged me a bunch of money to replace things unnecessarily, but instead were super honest and had my car back to me within an hour.I will never bring my car anywhere else now, the guy there was awesome and honest and made a very stressful day a little better for me. They deserve more than 5 stars -- they made me a customer for life.

I wish zero stars was an option.Incompetent, lazy, dishonest, and will release customers vehicles without repair of a known issue to avoid fixing whats wrong by placing blame on another Midas location while under warranty for the exact same franchise. My car shut down less than 5 minutes of exiting this location while I am 8 months pregnant and couldve gotten into a serious accident with my car turning off on its own. To repair a $125 part couldve been a major lawsuit.Ill never trust Midas again. This location didnt take the time to research if another nearby site open on Sunday had the part to fix what was faulty installed by them. Ridiculous!!

My family and I have used Midas for many years but I DO NOT recommend this Midas, very unprofessional and treated me like I was stupid… they didn’t want to service my vehicle for a simple check engine light, was told that it was going to be expensive, where the cost wasn’t a problem just wanted my car fixed. Save yourself the headache and embarrassment and take your vehicle somewhere else….

Brought my car here for exhaust work. Rob said not to worry that he would take care of me with a reasonable price, after the car was there for an hour or so, Rob quoted me $2000 for the work (I had 2 prior estimates at $500-$600). I told him no thank you and I will go elsewhere. He then came outside as I was getting ready to leave and said $600. I agreed and left, about an hour or so later I get a call from them saying $600 was to low and they could not do the work! This is after Rob came up with the $600!!! What a joke!! Save your time and avoid this place! Many more honest shops that are local. I had the work done later in the day for $550 at another local shop.

Messed up mileage on carfax now screwed over the title.Took car to get 2 new front tires so no big deal, but he entered it into carfax with the wrong mileage by 100,000 miles and the state scrapped my title! Took the value of my car from $5000 to nothing.Upon calling the shop the woman name angel answered and said nothing they can do about it. Also funny how every time I call or talked to someone there their name was angel.Called corporate and going to look into the matter. But please don’t do business with them.

Had them diagnose and replace a pitman arm and an idle be arm. Another big name brand wanted to replace the entire front end. Midas got it done for a fraction of what the other guys wanted to charge and still gave me a discount off the sticker price. Even handed back the old parts so I could claim the warranty.

I’m from Milwaukee and was on my way back after spending the day in Glen Ellyn. My car overheated and I pulled off at the Midas shop. The staff could not have been any nicer and helpful. They spent over an hour trying to diagnose the problem so that I could get home safely -which I did! A minimal charge was all I paid. Thank you to each of you who helped me in a difficult situation!

Honestly, really happy with the service here. I used to go to a competitor thats closeby but noticed that they charged me for a service they didnt do properly so I went on shopping. Midas got my car fixed up in no time and they also to my joy helped buffed out a scratch I had on my bumper for no charge. Definitely got a repeating customer from me.

Not the brightest of customer service but very professional (maybe was too early in the morning). I showed up with no appointment and no coupon and they still honored the oil change special. In and out very fast. I will consider other of their services in the future for sure.

Took my car here for concerns about some intermittent sounds while turning or going over bumps. They took the time to investigate the issue and checked my suspension for wear and safety, and they didnt charge me a bunch of money for the diagnosis like the dealership would.

I had a leaf spring shackle separate from the frame on my popup camper driving through Chicago on a Saturday night. Brought it to the guys at the Elmhurst Midas on Sunday morning and they didnt flinch. They got me in right away, and did a great job fixing it. Made it all the way back to New York, no problem.

They are competent, thoughtful and respnably priced.

Not trustworthy. Went for a basic oil change, tire rotation, and typical vehicle inspection. Upon payment I requested the form from the inspection to review it myself. The guy with glasses pretends to act dumb as if he had no idea where he placed it. Goes to the back, in the process and asks the worker to make one up. Him not knowing that I knew what happened, because I saw it happen through the window, comes back and pretends to ask another employee where the report is at. Once he got the BS report he then tries to BS me into other services. I also know it was BS because I went to another place the same day for them to check my tires and the pressure was not what MIDAS was trying to tell me in their report . Stay away and find a better place. Their 49.99 synthetic oil change also ends up to be $62. Beware....

Went okay gave me a little break on fixing brake light had to replace 3 friendly service.

Midas was conveniently open on Sun. I maded an onlibe apr, drop my car off went to Church. Had front calipers go out but it was a brake emergency. I wasnt prepared for this expense. They offered Easy Finance and got the job done. God lead me there for a reason. Brakes are doing great!

Went to this place just to get a lightbulb. I was very specific in what I said. Just replace the lightbulb. They tried to tell me that I needed more done to my car for the lightbulb to work. I said no. Just the lightbulb. I cannot even describe how cold the employees got towards me after I told them no to their upsell. I got my lightbulb and low and behold... Light works. Wont be returning here.

Rob - store manager was very helpful and honest. Brought a car for used car inspection, told the dealer where I was taking it, and he practically begged me not to take it here, so of course I did. They found over $1500 worth of repairs the vehicle needed. (Someone had added something to trick the cars computer to not turn on the check engine light by ignoring the catalytic converter, and the brakes were at 10%, and weak battery.) So of course I didnt get that car. I brought another car that same day and he told me it was much better and definitely worth getting, but had some minor repairs needed. The dealer did those repairs at no cost to me. Well worth the $50 I spent on each inspection, saved me so much more!

Dont recommend place or working for them. I go in fill out a application, all I hear is bad language coming out of employees and managers. Im gald I didnt accept job offer after all, making it seem like I havent been working on cars. How in the world would I drop 4 dollars in pay just to take job. I aint fresh learning to do plain oil changes. I have done alot of different jobs here and there more advance than a entry level lube tech that just came out of school! What a insult, no wonder place has some bad reviews online yelp and google reviews.

I will NEVER recommend anyone to get their car fixed here! They have mechanics there that dont know what Theyre doing. They will price you way too high and only do a half way job! This is the 3rd time within 2 weeks that I had to take my car back FOR THE SAME THING! If I can rate no star I definitely would! NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A HALF FIXED CAR! Take your car some place else!

I use to go here until they incorrectly told me my power steering fluid was low. I had a family member bring their car with but on a separate ticket. His car had no power steering fluid and mine was full. I was also told that my battery tested great when on my way home my vehicle died because my alternator was out and there wasnt enough battery to keep me rolling. They also did not fill up the windshield washer fluids like they said they had. I also paid for a tire rotation that they did not do until I went to leave and noticed the tires had not been rotated. Not sure if they even did an oil change which is what I originally went in there for. Nice staff though

BEWARE! This store just opened up right up the road from my home, their previous location was in Villa Park on Ardmore, I wonder why they got ran outta town. This shop and its technicians, if thats what you could call them are a bunch of hacks. From not torquing down wheels, to skipping services that the customer has paid for, this shop does it all.Its places like this that give the whole industry and mechanics in general a bad name. The parts used are the cheapest available, usually some bottom of the barrel AutoZone parts, good luck getting them to validate any warranty they may claim there is. Pay close attention to the lot, there are cars there that have been there for weeks, for simple fixes nonetheless, but these technicians cannot even figure out whats wrong.The franchise owner, Sayed, is all about the money, he has no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, the only knowledge he has is whats fed to him by his lackeys and his piss poor crew of misfits. He also has his friends and family giving this butcher shop a 5 star review to bump up the stores rating, scroll through the ratings, how many Sayeds do you see? Remember the last name is the first name in the middle east. How Midas has not looked into this scam artist is beyond me, and how he gets to keep their name is his store is also a mystery. I called corporate with this information and they will be looking into this. Google was also notified of the fraudulent ratings, as was Yelp, and any other sites that have ratings for this store.How do I know all of this? I was employed there for a total of three days, before I could not bear to watch people get screwed by these idiots, and walked out of the place. I live in the neighborhood, unlike these guys, and refused to do some of the things I was told to do, and watched be done. Ive been in the industry for over 13 years, not including the years of working on cars as a hobby. I have NEVER seen such a disaster of a shop. I came to this job expecting a lot more from these guys because Rob, the manager, talked it up during the interview. What I got was a bunch of guys speaking broken english who dont know very much about anything automotive, with none of the tools needed to properly diagnose and work on any of todays vehicles. (I have way more tools and better diagnostic equipment than the whole shop combined) This place isnt even equipped with the proper tools to perform most oil changes on newer vehicles.Potential customers, stay away from this place! Potential employees, stay away as well! Its been two weeks since I was supposed to get paid, still nothing from Mr. Sayed, just the run around. Midas corporate has been called, BBB has been called, and the Labor Board has been called. This is not the kinda business anyone would want operating up the block from them, not even if you lived in a crack den in the Back Of The Yards.

This place is ridiculous. Brought my sons car here on Sunday because my regular mechanic wasnt open. He was having grinding from his breaks. They told us there is nothing wrong with the rears and that the fronts needed calipers, rotors and pads. They wanted $700. Said no thanks and took it to my regular mechanic today. My regular mechanic says the rears need new pads, they are almost gone and that there is a missing lug nut and cracked stud. He said the calipers have nothing wrong with them. Total for all 4 pads, rotors, lug nut and stud was almost half!

Came in just before close and the guys offered to help me out on a small automotive project without hesitation.

I had the worst experience ever. I work for an 88 yr old handicapped lady who drives a 2000 Dodge Caravan and I took her vehicle there per her request, because they had done work on her vehicle in the past. They gave her an estimate and said she needed rear brake shoes, 2 new drums, 4 new brake lines, and 2 rear brake hoses, 2 wheel cylinderrs, 1 drum brake maxi-pack and flush the brake lines. They gave her a quote for the work initially for over $1,800. I told them that was totally unacceptable and asked what could they take off to still keep her safe on the road and bring the price down. They told me they could machine the drums and flush the brake system for free they wanted to charge her $89 alone for flushing the brake lines. and give a senior discount of $30, bringing the price down $1,496.99 after taxes. They told me it would take 3 hours for the repair & that was at 10:00am. After speaking with her & her son, they said ok. They were in a bind a day before Thanksgiving & needed the vehicle in order for her to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at her sons house. She is in a motorized wheel chair and her car has a special ramp installed. She is paralyzed from the waist down, so once she transfers to her chair, she has to stay in her chair until she returns to her bed at night. She cannot ride in any of her family members cars because she needs the ramp to get her and her chair in and out of the vehicle. I asked for a print out of the adjusted estimate and was picked up and went to her house.Once there I went online to Auto Zone to price the parts to see what the difference was in the price of the parts from what they wanted to charge her. I found out, they were charging her double in some cases almost triple the cost of the parts. They were also charging her $829.05 for labor for a 3 hour brake job which is what they told me would be the time it took to repair the vehicle. They charged her $276.35 per hour for labor.I felt this was extremely excessive and especially on the parts not to mention the labor charges, so I called them and asked them to let me bring in my own parts and she would still pay the labor charges. They manager got on the telephone and told me he would have to add 30% to the labor charges and charge me $50 for machining the drums and add $89 for the brake flush and take away her senior discount, if I were to bring in my own parts. I told him she really needed her vehicle and she couldnt take her car to another mechanic so could he help me out by bringing the price down. He told me he was giving her super brake shoes and that is why he was charging her $66.99 for them and I told him those break shoes cost $24.99 at Auto Zone and the part he was charging her for were remanufactured brake shoes with the same part number as the one for $24.99. He then told me they had different parts numbers and I told him no they didnt they have the same part numbers as Auto Zone for every part I looked up. I asked him to reduce the price on the parts, so she could get her vehicle repaired because she was in no position to take it elsewhere. He gave her $80 more dollars off the parts after I had to haggle with him for each price for each part. He said he could not give me a discount on the 4 brake lines and charged her $311.96 for 4 brake lines and told me that was because they had to make them there at the shop. The most expensive brake lines I priced on Auto Zone for that vehicle were between $30-$40.99 each and I am quite sure they did not use the most expensive. He said he had to make money, as if he was doing the work for free. So she had to pay $1,416. for rear brakes.I feel this is still way excessive, but there was nothing she could do. I feel they really took advantage of her because they knew she was elderly and handicapped. How sad I feel for my client and want to let you know, if you are elderly and handicapped this is the kind of treatment you get at this store. Their mark-ups are unbelievable, although they advertise free estimates, get the estimates & RUN!!!!!

I sat 7 hours while they replaced a brake line, and they couldnt seem to figure out which brake shoes to put on my van. Professionals do not take 7 hours to do a two-hour job.
