Awesome customer service. Went in for my maintenance on my car and got helped by Edgar Naranjo. He came up to me with a smile and great personality. Told me what they were going to do on my car. Talking to him was like talking to a friend. The service was fast and on point. Even got to talk to the mechanic Oscar. Told me my car was all done and everything was good with my car.

Over all great services, friendly, and professional the only issue I have is the amount of time it takes to do routine maintenance regardless if you have an appointment or not. I had an appointment at 7:30am and didnt get my car back till around 11:30. I guess they take way more appointments then they can handle at a time causing such a delay.

I have had a good experience with Toyota until now. My car is in service has 35,500 miles still under the 3 years 36,000 miles warranty. I was left two weeks without a car and having to Uber and ask for rides to work. Wasted over $300 for those two weeks. When finally reaching an answer with the service advisor he lets me know that I will have to pay 3,000 out of pocket due to the car not being covered under warranty. Now they are saying that my warranty could be voided if I don’t fix my clutch and flywheel. This is after paying money for warranty, Toyota care, and the car as a whole. Taking the car to it’s scheduled maintenances when due and still they say that it’s because of abuse to the vehicle. I called the Toyota’a warranty line but wasn’t able to get anywhere. Even after reading the pamphlet for warranty and all the regulations I found nothing on there that says the clutch and flywheel aren’t covered under the basic warranty. When asking the representative on the phone she wasn’t able to guide me to where that is stated in the pamphlet either. I thought Toyota was a major brand that took care of their customers but I don’t think I’ll be buying one after this one anymore.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Making appointments is the way to go. As mentioned by one of the staff, dropping in will be difficult since they have many appointments. After experiencing their services I see why many people come here to get their cars serviced. Everyone working there was more than willing to help. Their service department works fast and efficiently provided that you can fulfill their requirements prior to your appointment. Their staff is knowledgeable about their services and can quote you their services quickly. What I enjoyed most about this dealership is that their workers did not try to sell any unnecessary services and only asked if I would like to have any other services done to my car. I will definitely be back to have my car serviced again or quite possibly purchase a new vehicle in the future.

My appt for an oil change was at 12:30. I didnt get out of there until 5:30. I was told they were behind when I was finally checked in at 1:00. I went back to Richard at 4:00 and was told car not ready yet. Went back at 5:00 and he said oh this must be your paperwork here. It was just sitting there in front of him. Then I find out I need a new rear light so they had to take car back and fix that. I had asked for it to be washed which they did which I find is a very nice feature of Penske. Last time I spent a lot more money and was out of there much quicker. I feel like because I didnt spend that much that I was placed last.

These guys are trash! Even with being an hour before my appointment they still cannot service me on a timely fashion.I would recommend going elsewhere 100%, unless you want to be there for 3-4 hours. This happens to me every time I come here! They took so long I had to ask for my car back. They didnt even touch it. I still had 2 cars ahead of me! Just silly, truly. Last time I come here.

I’m always looking out for great deals, and it was time for my tires to be replaced and balanced. I took advantage of the buy 3 tires and the 4th for a $1. I was surprised by the options to finance the expenses to replace all 4 tires for my Prius. My service representative made it easy to inquire and pick the best option for me. Im giving you one star on your ethics. Today my girlfriend was given the work around over a simple tire change that was cause by a manufacturer defect. This lead me to look at your reviews and see if anyone else was having similar problems. Forgive me, I love numbers, just not yours. You have ~1300 reviews of 4 stars and above. Of those ~800 are people buying new cars. They had a good experience, because the employees have a great incentive to create that experience(commission). The problem I have is with the ~800 reviews that are 3 stars and below. They all have very relevant complaints and it seems like nothing has changed over time. The reviews in the one star and two star remain consistent. Take away the people who are buying cars youre left with a horrible review of the dealership. 1 of 2 customers coming in for any service other than buying a car is likely to have a bad experience according to your reviews. I believe your company is trying to hide their bad habits by pushing good reviews on customers buying a new car so that customers will not see or even think to look at the bad reviews, because of the overwhelmingly high 5 stars reviews. I think this deserves attention and should be handled by separating people buying cars and people going to the parts and/or service department. This feels extraordinarily unethical and dishonest. From what I have read, it would seem that is how your company operates, dishonestly and the reviews reflect that. Thank you if you do fix anything, but more than likely my review will be lost in your scam as well. That being said, if you made it this far, do not go here unless you are willing to fight for what you need.P.S. I looked at my review and despite being the most recent it is still shoved to the bottom under all the good reviews. Just a thought.

They can’t seem to update my profile correctly. I’ve done it 4x already and every time I try to make a phone appointment they can’t find my profile because the number is incorrect and when I update it, Toyota employees tell me I shouldn’t have a problem anymore and yet I do.Today I went in to get my radio replaced. I later get a call letting me know that my part has been sent back and it has to be ordered again. The employee informed me that they called me but since they don’t update my profile correctly they called me to a number that doesn’t exist. I informed the guy that this isn’t the first inconvenience from then and that I received rude service from them. He sent me to his manager where was rude herself. She gave me the run around about why my part was sent back. I told her this wasn’t the first mistake they made with me and I wanted my car back already. She snapped at me saying that why am I asking her to explain then telling her to shut up. After she said that to me she walked out of her office. She left before I got the chance to tell her that I didn’t tell her to shut up. She had no courtesy in trying to help me.I just want to inform management of the continuous errors her employees were making but she was so rude and unprofessional.

Had an appointment for 1430, didnt get checked in until 1445. I asked this service lady whats the use in making an appointment and she said I had to wait in line. Then the waiting room had Spanish channel on TV and the music they were playing. I do not speak Spanish and I dont want to learn. So I stayed outside for some peace and quiet.

Went in because I thought my Prius battery was a goner. They did a full diagnostic aside from checking the battery and even threw in a much needed car wash. In the end, it turned out all it needed was a proper charge. No other pressure to fix anything else or surprises so I really appreciated their honesty and commitment to provide excellent customer service. Had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. Supposed to check fluids and brakes and give a report of items checked. No report was received so I dont know the condition of my brakes or if fluids or filters were checked. Only tire pressure. Only half the job done. But it was inexpensive.

Staff is friendly. Waiting area & restrooms are clean. Wifi is always a plus, while waiting long hours for your car to be serviced. Id give this place 5*, but they failed to call/text to notify me, that my vehicle was ready @ 330pm. My experience with Penske Toyota of Downey began with an email to their sales department asking if they had a 2021 Prius Prime in stock and what the best out-the-door price they could offer me on it. Danish Khan helped me out and immediately made an offer of $28,813 OTD. I was talking to 40 other dealerships in the Los Angeles area, and this was the best one. Other dealerships were asking up to $4000 more. I shopped the offer around and nobody would beat the offer. Some told me it was a good deal and that I should take it immediately. So I did. Danish gave me exactly what I asked for (a Prius Prime at a great price), closed the deal and got me on the road in an efficient manner and he was extremely personable and friendly all along the way. I would highly recommend working with him on your next car purchase.

I get asked all the time by people why I prefer to take my Toyota Cars to Penske Toyota and I always tell them two words: Richard Tee. Richard is the top guy service writer at Toyota Penske, and hes a worker. Ive been taking my cars to Richard since 2002 or so... and hes never let me down or disappointed and he actually likes his job and the company he works for... Penske Toyota. Most of the service writers at Penske are friendly and warm, but when its their time to go home, theyre gone immediately. Wheres Richard?... long after everyone has gone home, this guy is still doing paperwork long into the night as he takes a lot of pride in his job, and you just dont see that anymore in too many people. I trust Penske Toyota and I trust Richard Tee as my service writer, and dont take your Toyota car or truck anywhere else.

He offered me to test drive and fell in love with it. We then went inside and he was very patient, respectful and understanding of how I wanted my payments to look like. We were in agreement with the price so we then Went into finance and got a great deal with warranty that I couldn’t let down. Overall very great service! Thank you once again

My 90 year old father has been taking his 2000 Avalon for service at this location for years and generally has good service. However his trust in this service department was destroyed with his last visit this past Saturday. He was left waiting for 4 hours for an appointment he setup in advance for check oil/ battery light on. Was told it would take about two hours then after 4 hours of being left and forgotten in the waiting room, he finally asked about his car. He told his service advisor that my 86 year old mother was left alone for 4 hours. When they finally got to his car and brought it up his advisor tried to sell him a 3 years service maintenance program which he did not need and he indicated as much.I am deeply disappointed in the way they treated my father and forgotten about in the waiting room!BTW this dealership does not offer courtesy rides home, they used to!My father will not be returning here for service in the future. He trusted the service advisor and was treated poorly! I dare say they tried to take advantage of him by selling him a maintenance package he did not need.

Showed up Saturday at noon, was told walk ins were no longer being serviced … Iven stepped up to the plate took ownership and advised my car would be taken and serviced to be ready by 4pm that same day . Couple hours later I was reached via text advising my car was ready for pick up ! Way to take care of your loyal clients Iven !!
