Very unprofessional employee at the front desk. Whatever the customer service told me, the front desk lady said the other way. The website said 3 units were available, after I reserved one, 2 were left. She said they are all reserved and I cant pick the one I want from the available ones. She said the customer service keeps misinforming tenants. This is not the first time I have problems with the lady. Way to go Metro Self Storage. Are you going to do anything with all complaints like mine?

Metro in Des Plaines is great! The prices are competitive and right now have a great deal. Vincent did a great job explaining everything and showing my very roomy unit. Very friendly! Sign up was very efficient and easy. Location is convenient and very clean. Cant wait to load up my unit!

Really nice and clean facility. I spoke with a polite man named Vincent who called me and stayed an hour later for me past the closing time ! I was rushing to get over there and he stayed later which I really appreciate. He took his time and showed me the unit and went over everything with me with no rush at all. I feel safe with storing my belongings at Metro Self Storage and the security is on top of things here unlike other storage facilities.

Just got a storage unit and space here, the Manager Eliza exceeded my expectations, even came back to help me with the gate code after store hours.Although prices are average, the facility is clean, and so are the grounds.Overall a nice place to store your stuff if needed.

I have been a customer here for awhile, I also have have units at other facilities for work. I have never had a problem anywhere except here. Whenever I come into to this office the manager is usually there. She is Unbeilevable rude, to customers and and even to her employees. She rolls her eyes and belittles people. To be honest I am not sure how she can even be a manager let alone employed. I have spoke with other tenants who have had the same experience but for whatever reason have not spoken up. If you did random calls to your tenants from your corporate office you would find all statements to be true. I have seen other reviews that also state the same.SHAME ON YOU METRO for letting Eliza represent your company, she is so very condescending and confrontational. Shame on you both.

This place has been updated and in proved since Eliza took over. The place is organized and clean and the tenants are polite. I was considering moving elsewhere because of the rent increment but now Im staying. This location is the best out of all we have checked. Thank you Eliza for making this place part of our home.

Great place, location wise kind of hard since a pancake house throws it off.... But Love the new management... She is well experience in the field... Eliza i believe is her name she is very helpful and a people person... I recommend to anyone swing on by and say hi to the new management.

So the person I spoke to was very nice. Knowledgeable and made me feel welcomed.

Was reluctant to get storage but decided on Metro because of their proximity to my home (I can easily walk there if I wanted). Also the price and value is competitive for indoor temp-controlled storage (its not hot during the summer). Ive had the service since Mid-July 2013 and no problems. Theyve been very friendly and helpful (like when I was unable to open the exterior door). Def take advantage of your homeowners or renters insurance to eliminate the $9/month insurance charge.Only major downside is that access is limited to 9pm. I wish it was open a little later for people like me (I dont even get home from the office until after 7 or 8). For those in downtown Des Plaines, this is a good, affordable storage option with no long term agreement. Recommended.

I dont understand why people say this place or the people here is bad. I have been storing over 10years and my time with Eliza has always been great even when i was rude and angry at her for my fault. Eliza has been nothing but great and helpful to me and to the other customers here. She has even dealt with the meanest and rudest people but she always nice and helpful. I have even seen people be so verbal abusive and verbal violent towards her, but she always trys to help with a smile. To the owners and the bosses of Eliza, she has been wonderful and she turned this place into her home. Its always clean and pleasant when she is here.

The customer service is outstanding! I needed help finding a spot for my trailer. Eliza the person that helped me found the perfect spot for my trailer!

STAY AWAY! Ive been storing here for about 5yrs now. Recently there has been an extremely rude and poor mannered woman badgering tenants and being absolutely unprofessional in her dealings with customers and other employees. So much so that I emptied out my storage unit and will be storing, as well as parking my business truck and trailer somewhere else. Its shameful how one employee can destroy a businesss reputation.

I was forced to give 1 star but wanted to give none. I stopped in Monday 10.1 and the woman behind the desk was extremely rude, and not just to me, but to the gentleman who works there who had asked for help faxing a document. It was her tone and overall demeanor that turned me off. That she would speak to her co-worker that way in front of myself a customer was unprofessional. I would NEVER go back to this location - not with her there.

This place sucks, bait and switch. Reserved a unit through Sparefoot, when I arrived I was told the unit was $140 not the $75 rate I confirmed. Told Sparefoot made the mistake, THEY ONLY PUBLISH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY METRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Total BS on Metros part. Left messages, no one returned calls or emails. Filing complaint with AGs office.

THEIR WEBSITE DOESNT WORK. THEREFORE I PAY VIA TELEPHONE FOR A $13.50 INCREASE FROM WHAT I WAS PAYING. NO ONE IS AROUND TO HELP. THEY WANT YOU TO SKIP PAYMENTS AND MAKE MONEY SELLING YOUR STUFF. ALSO, I CANNOT BELIEVE THEIR SHORT HOURS. COULD METRO BE ANY LESS GREEDY AND INCONVENIENT?
