Loved the coffee! The atmosphere was relaxing- perfect for a night out to sit and have coffee and chat. The blondie coffee was delicious! Try it out! Will highly recommend and will come again!
The coffee deserves a 6/5 rating. It was omg delicious, best coffee I’ve had eveeeer the banana bread was too sugary in my opinion but the quality was great. Awesome little coffee spot for awesome coffee.Covid guidelines: obviously wear a mask. I like that they have signs on the table to mark if they are dirty or not. The signs on the door are also helpful and what I liked the best is that right at the register it explained how to use those table cards to help them identify which tables need to be cleaned.I wish I was able to drink this coffee on a daily basis.
Such a fun atmosphere and great coffee. I love that they have late hours that suit both studying and date nights. The front area is a bit louder and busy while the back is very quiet, so you can socialize or read peacefully.
Great local coffeehouse always with wonderful house-made drinks. Oat milk is an option, and everyone is relatively quiet and respectful of the coffeehouse vibe!
The barista that was there was very helpful and knew her stuff. She went more in depth about the flavor I like for my drink. That made the experience much more than any regular coffee shop.
Love this coffee spot!! And The Grinch is my favorite!! Studying for that exam? First date and dont want to be in a loud bar? This is the place!!
One of the best coffee shops in Denver. So much space to do work or just hangout with a friend, PLUS they are open late! Some of the best Lattes I have had. Their Matcha Latte is very unique and so tasty. Staff is extremely kind. Just a great energy overall.
Best coffee shop in Denver. The espresso is delicious, as are the pastries. The baristas are helpful and friendly, especially Kurt. There is a lot of seating, and the furniture is comfortable. On top of all of this, they play cool music. Its easy to hang out there for hours.
I stopped in for a cup of coffee after i was at the pet shop next door. Thinking they were pet friendly due to the jar of biscuits sitting by the register but they werent. my mistake for thinking they were pet friendly. However the barista was incredibly rude about it...coffee was also trash, bitter and cold like their barista.
The best. We visit a few times a week and spend waaaaay too much money on coffee but its worth every penny, because the drinks and the baristas just make every day better. Also, it is delicious enough to get a toddler hooked on coffee. My three year old always sneaks sips of my no-sugar cortado and ends up drinking most of it.
The barista that was there was very helpful and knew her stuff. She went more in depth about the flavor I like for my drink. That made the experience much more than any regular coffee shop.
The staff is really nice and the coffee is good. My only gripe is that I have to make a purchase every two hours in order to continue using the internet. I totally understand having to make the initial purchase and in all honesty, sitting there long enough id probably by another coffee anyways. I just dont appreciate that I have to continue buying things when I know ill need the internet for a few hours.
This place is great.. love the vibe and all but its small and it doesnt seem like theres much seating and its too dark in there.
I came here for the first time, and it was okay but not my favorite study/coffee shop I’ve tried so far.Pros: I do like their late night hours (open till 12am).Cons: You have to purchase a drink every 2 hours in order to be able to use their Wi-Fi. Once you use up your two hours, you don’t get access to Wi-Fi unless you buy another drink. Also, their chai tea wasn’t really my favorite.- Also, I am all about eco-friendly and waste saving, but I do wish they’d give an option to have paper cups to drink out of as well. They served me my drink in a mug that looked a little old, and it stirred up my germaphobia lol But I do appreciate their eco-friendly methods!
A very no-frills coffee shop! Whether you’re hanging out or grabbing on the go it is exactly the perfect combo of coffee and assorted bites for many people. They have microwave burritos, sandwiches, and pastries to compliment any beverage choice. WFH people - they have a printer in the back ;)
My all time favorite coffee shop! BEST COFFEE IN DENVER, Excellent pastries, sandwiches, salads and burritos. Love the friendly staff and chill vibe here. Bardo healed healed my mojo post pandemic. 🥰
Great coffee, and eats. Nice relaxed casual atmosphere, and great place to work, meet friends, work alone, or help a friend get business done on a laptop, indoors or on patio. Wifi free with purchase. WiFi seemed slow, and bogged down sometimes, but it was a Monday, So I assumed internet traffic was heavy. Place appears to be cleaned continually, and comfortable. Staff, patrons, and management, are all engaging, friendly, and constantly aware of surroundings!
Best coffee shop in Denver. The espresso is delicious, as are the pastries. The baristas are helpful and friendly, especially Kurt. There is a lot of seating, and the furniture is comfortable. On top of all of this, they play cool music. Its easy to hang out there for hours.
Really great coffee house with lots of space to chill. They have booths, tables, couches, sidewalk seating, and a patio out back. Friendly staff and great drink menu, lots of bakery stuff, and small savory dishes as well.
Pretty, pretty, pretty good. But, lately, its become infested by transplants. Too bad because their coffee is pretty good.
Love this place. The staff is nice and fast. Its a nice place to sit and do my computer work. They have tasty breads and some food options too.
Seriously the best baristas in Denver! They handel their craft consistently well and while holding conversation with us customers. Every time the drinks are perfect. Bardo has great quality products and an array of breakfast items to pair with your favorite drinks. This is the stuff worth driving for if you dont live nearby.Thank you for being the absolute best!
The Bardo Coffee House is a really cool coffee shop on South Broadway that I highly recommend you check out. Whether its for a quick pick-me-up or a place to post up and work from, it’s perfect.I ordered a quad espresso machiatto with brown sugar and a homemade bacon, egg, cheese, and green chile burrito that was DELICIOUS! They also have other food items on the menu such as pastries and bagels.Check it out!
It’s about time I reviewed this place. Always a relaxed and conversational vibe, and some of the baristas get creative if you ask them for their signature drink. Coffee is good, and I also recommend the chocolate cherry bread if you’re looking for something sweet.
Love the vibe and energy of the coffee shop! Its so chill and its one of the few coffee shops in the area that stay open late! New favorite!
This coffee house is my favorite in Denver to visit AM or PM! I usually get the Iced Rose Lavender with Breve Latte.. its not for those on a diet..lol...This isnt ran like a Starbucks or fast-food service. So sometimes you have to decide to have patience when waiting in line. And if youre going to wait, talk with the Barista. Engage with them. They are friendly human beings. After all, conversation is what goes great with coffee....er, umm... tea? Anyway-Theyre worth it. The atmosphere, the grind, the time. Enjoy!-Aly
I had a large spicy Chai. Not sure if that counts as real coffee but it was delicious nonetheless! Due to lack of available seating, I had to sit outside until something became available. I just kept thinking how nice one of those tall heaters would have been. If it werent for the gusts of wind, it wouldnt have been bad. Once I was able to sit inside I could really enjoy the visit a lot more. This seems like a popular choice for students as most of the tables either had laptops or books lining them with hard working students.
Profesional coffee experience… Great breakfast.
This place is awesome! They have nice seating areas, including tables and booths which I feel like are uncommon at coffee shops. Its very cozy. The coffee is delicious! I got the Latte Bardo and it had just the right amount of sweetness and flavor, not to overpower the espresso. Ill definitely be back!
Very chill atmosphere for the whole shop. Many people either discussing things over a coffee or getting work done on their laptops with the FREE WIFI provided. The barista greeted everyone who came in the door with genuine intent, and was very patient when helping us with our order. Extremely inclusive environment with gender neutral bathrooms. The coffee itself had a fulfilling flavor, and the chai actually had a choice between spicy or sweet. We also loved the vegan breakfast burritos we had to pair with our drinks! If you live in Denver or if you’re just passing through, COME HERE!!! (Side note - When the barista was putting our salsa in the to-go bags, he did a sick trick with the little salsa containers, very fun to watch.)
Cool place. Urban crowd. Plenty of seating. Quick service. Large pastry assortment.
Excellent coffee, service, and atmosphere. Great stop to plug into the Baker / Broadway neighborhood.
It wasnt very clear that you have to get a new Wi-Fi password every 2 hours, and they will only give it to you if you make another purchase. Also you have to make sure you get your unique password when youre AT THE COUNTER purchasing something, otherwise they wont give it to you. A barista made that very clear to me today :(
Completely forgot about my order and the Chai was very watered down. Seems like a nice place to study/work tho
This place is amazing! They delivered the best coffee and showed the best attitude to its costumers. Internet connection is very fast and is unlimited as well. This coffee shop is perfect for studying and chilling out. It was very quiet and air-conditioned. I just want to keep coming back to this place. Thank you!
Awesome drink choices, tastes great, great atmosphere, tables inside, a patio area out back, and table and chairs out front
I was looking for somewhere with a decent choice for breakfast and discovered this gem. I’m vegetarian, so there were several good options for me too. The service is friendly and efficient. Both of our meals were very tasty, hot and of great quality. Tea and coffee were great quality too. This is somewhere we will return to soon.
Get the turmeric coffee! Great atmosphere, people, and coffee. Also the wifi tested out at 150mbps if you a need a place to do some work. They just ask you buy something every 2 hours.
This coffee shop is one of my favorite late night coffee shops in the area. It has the perfect dim lighting for people who just want to have a cozy, relaxed evening. In addition, they have some interesting drinks. When it is cold out, the seating can occasionally be sort of challenging to come by since it is a fairly popular late night coffee shop. Overall, I would definitely take friends here.
Thus coffee house is difficult to get a setting location because its a very popular spot. But its for a good reason, the coffee is fantastic and I had a root vegetable wrap, it was delicious. I love that they had nutritional information on the food.
Great coffee, locally owned, great customer service.
This coffee shop is cool. Good prices and a warm environment
Awesome food, brilliant staff, and a cake to die for! I went here with my wife on a recommendation from the instructor at a local off-road driving center we skipped breakfast so it was great to find this coffee shop. I’ve also tried the latte, and they were all very very good! We will be back!
Choice spot and one of my all time favorite coffee houses in Denver. Love the hours, variety of spots to sit, outlets to charge electronics and ample of board games to play. I’ve had many conversations, both personal and professional at this location. Staff friendly and helpful.
Amazing coffee and awesome staff. There is wifi throughout and lots of outlets, really comfy spot. Try the mocha, its perfect!
My favorite coffee shop in Denver. Great coffee, food, staff and vibe.
Visiting this coffee shop was the best decision in my whole life. I got my coffee on time and the desserts I deeply admired with their menu. The quality of service they provided was amazing! I wont hesitate to advise this place to all of my co-workers and friends for sure. Nice place!
Friendly staff. Beautiful menus. Quality coffee. Great work environment. All around great coffee shop.
OMG! They are awesome.
Excellent coffee, diverse, and nice eclectic surroundings! Just a good varied mix from mellow jazz, the sixties to good modern. A little bit of everything. The food, the atmosphere, and the waitress are completely lovely, and the place is so cool and perfect to work. I will recommend this to anyone who loves coffee!
I prefer my matcha lattes slightly bitter and thats how they make it here (most places make them a bit too sweet for my taste). Staff was upbeat, and they had plenty of signs and COVID precautions in place. There was a line - looks like this place is popular - but my drink still came out in a timely manner.
Honestly the best espresso Ive ever had. Every batista is a cool, down to earth doll and the space itself matches. Nothing but good energy when youre in there. Much love!
Super cool place to chill draw, paint and network. Super friendly staff. Quality coffee and just a all around good vibe in the place. They have booths with outlets for charging convenience. Good lighting. There is a super cool are in the back that lit for chilling on the many couches. Place is rad. Wish I knew about it sooner.
On a long drive and sister and I desperately needed a place for vegan breakfast open super early. Enter Bardos! I’ll be honest I was hungry, tired, and a little cranky and let my sister pick out our order. The vegan breakfast burrito was soooo good. I don’t even know what all was in it but it was amazing! The latte was also seriously one of the best I’ve had in a while. Feel fortunate to have found this diamond in the rough. I’ll be coming here for breakfast every time I’m in Denver. (Also had amazing vegan sweets for a snack for later!)
This coffee shop is my favorite place to hang and do my work. I love this place because it was so quiet, cozy, and not too crowded. The coffees and pastries that they had were so delicious. My favorite coffee in this shop was the 3-shots of espresso. I really love the coffee in this shop. The barista was so pleasant and very friendly. Highly recommended coffee shop.
Great cafe to sit and have a cup of coffee! I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and had a great experience. The shop is a hidden gem and has great indoor dining as well as outdoor tables. They use and carry Kaladi Coffee which definitely shows in the quality of coffee they pour! They have many different pastry options, I’d personally recommend the pumpkin bread. The baristas were incredibly welcoming, helpful and conversational. Great find right on Broadway!
Excellent, good food, great service, coffee and vibe. Good choice of spaces to hang, very friendly staff.
Always great vibes, wifi, coffees, friends to be made. Probably one of the better bagels in denver too sourced from Leroys
Great coffee shop. I took away a couple stars because Kaladi isnt as good as it used to be. Im glad to support local coffee but Kaladi has fallen off from the quality it used to be so coffee shops that still serve it unfortunately have also lowered their quality.Upgrade your coffee and upgrade your reviews:)
When all the aromas of butter, chocolate, and more butter hit you, one can never fill your spirit... The doughnuts are good too... whatever you like.
Best coffee! Barista is friendly and helpful.
This is my new favorite coffee shop in Denver! All of their drinks have been fantastic. I would highly recommend.
The staff here is welcoming, knowledgeable and just all around amazing. Stopped in for a quick relaxing drink while we waited for the scooter shop to fix our tire. The drinks are fabulous. The atmosphere (even during covid) isnt stuffy or pretentious. Would definitely recommend
Bardos Vegan Breakfast Burritos make me like food again! So delicious!! The employees are always friendly and seem to actually care when they ask how your day is. Thank you
Bacon instead of an egg burrito. If your vegetarian youL wanna check your bag before you split with the wrong order.
Absolutely lovely shop. The Dente was so good! Think mocha with orange and cinnamon. Pastries were also all killer. 4 cheese pull apart was hot and just fun to eat. And the raspberry bar is the stuff dreams are made of, not too sweet, a little tangy and perfect with coffee. And best of all theyre local #betterthanstarbucks Oh, and every shop on this block looks interesting, this is an awesome neighborhood to spend an afternoon.
I went here after reading it’s a great place to study during covid and it is. It does pick up around 11 or so but there’s so much seating outside too and they have outlets and WiFi out there. You must make a purchase every two hours to keep WiFi which I’m more than happy to do. My first drink was a spicy chai and pumpkin oat bread... solid but then I was recommended a black iced tea with lavender for my second purchase... wow this is delicious. Great place.
Amazing local coffee shop. Staff is super friendly, prices are reasonable, and the coffee and baked goods are delicious. They take COVID seriously, and they have a great system of signs on tables showing if a table has been sanitized after a previous guest. Even with social distancing, there is plenty of seating between the front patio, inside, and the back patio.
Fantastic coffee shop on south broadway. Baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable. Cozy vibe when open for inside dining.Love that its open late when you are craving a delicious drink in the evening!
Friendly baristas and very clean space. Great coffee too!
The coffee was really really great 10/10 rating, Ive really love it since I was a coffee lover and also the ambiance are so good its so chill and the staff are friendly and nice at all
Efficient and welcoming service, all of the time! Wide variety of drinks including seasonal beverages. Pastries and munchies, too. You will fall in love with Bardo.
Great little coffeeshop in a busy part of town.Lots of yummy drinks, some are specially house made too.Friendly baristas and nice ambiance.Usually plenty of seating, but covid capacity limits have made it pretty difficult to score a place to sit.
Bardo is awesome. I love the comfy and cozy vibe. I havent gone here as often since COVID started, and I really miss it! I worked from home even in the before times, and it was definitely one of my go-to places when I needed a change of scenery from my work desk at home. Long live Bardo! Someday I will be back to to enjoying my chai latte in person.
Bardo is def a student coffee place. Its always got hip music playing, and has a lot of books to tuck away in. Non-covid its pretty spacious, seating ~20 tables. Now its around 8-9, so come early. The drinks are always good, they have a long specialty drink list and most are tasty. Extensive tea list too
Great atmosphere, moody and artsy. Excellent staff. I always enjoy visiting here. Delightful coffeehouse experience every time. I recommend the dirty chai.
Chill place! Tasty Java!
Fast by and experienced barista. No complaints about seating & WiFi. We are STILL in a pandemic and I appreciate that the baristas still show up for work day in and day out. Great coffee, great vibes.
Walked in this morning (Sept 6th, 2020) and the place was fairly empty with only 1 other person in line. I had my service dog with me and normally I have my ADA card to show that she is a service dog but I forgot it at the hotel (from out of state). The worker asked me if she was a service dog and I replied yes. He said to what disability is she servicing?. I told him that my disability was none of his business and that I have documentation but forgot it at the hotel. He then told me he MUST know or else you can leave. So against my better judgement I went ahead and told him I was a 100% disabled combat veteran and she is primarily used as emotional support for severe PTSD. He then snickered at me but left it alone after that. Note: he argued this with me all while helping another customer. As soon as he was done helping the other customer I moved to the counter to be served. As soon as he returned to help me he said you need to wear your mask properly before I can serve you.. My mask was covering my mouth but the top was sitting on the tip of my nose rather than on the brim, NOT an issue ANYWHERE else Ive ever gone before. This guy just had it out for me since the very second I walked into the coffee shop with my service dog. So I told him that he was being unprofessional and I refused to do business with them at that point. On my way out the door he felt like he needed the last word and said you and your dog can get coffee somewhere else. and laughed. 100% completely uncalled for and very unprofessional. Im not from Denver and cant say Ill return, but I feel like future patrons need to be aware on how this place conducts business.
Great sit down experience & atmosphere. Large drink and food menu.
$3.50 for a 16 oz. cup of watered down coffee, no place to sit inside so I had to sit outside in the cold and inhale exhaust gas and cigarette smoke.Next time Im going to Mickey Ds one block down the street for $1.00 16 oz. coffees with a free refill and plenty of indoor seating.
Found this place last week and loved it! Got an oatmilk latte and a muffin and they didnt burn the oatmilk which is important to me since a lot of times places burn alternative milks and it ruins the drink. Nice to see a local place open late, especially during COVID. Ill definitely be visiting this place often and cant wait to check it out when stuff starts to reopen.
Such a wonderful, cozy atmosphere! Have been going here since I was a child, and its always wonderful to come back. Great coffee and tea, and surprisingly delicious pastries!
Service is amazing, kitschy location and decorations and amazing coffee and sandwiches. only doing carry out currently
