Growing up in North Carolina, I definitely got to know youre way around a good biscuit and they have that covered. Covered. The biscuits are always flaky and moist and full of flavor and they always have a new biscuit of the day!If youre from the south and you know of legendary Cheerwine as well! A delicious Cherry soda that you can only find in the south, mostly North Carolina, And now you can find it here too!The hashbrowns remind me of a better McDonalds hash brown which is the perfect side for these biscuits!My only complaint is that their gravy is subpar for how great their biscuits are, and their bacon is lacking in quality. I love a good bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit or biscuits and gravy so thats it. Disappointment. The biscuits make up for it alone though!Definitely recommend this place for a quick snack or even breakfast!

The woman who works up front (May be the owner), definitely seemed concerned that everybody has a great experience, and genuinely thanked us for coming in.

Super cute little breakfast (basically biscuits only) joint.Constantly changing their biscuit of the day, so be sure to check their website.I personally really like the chicken biscuit sandwich (a lot better than say, Chick Fil A), but thats obvious.Their cinnamon roll (made with biscuit) is good too, and something a bit different than other cinnamon rolls.There can be a line, but it moves relatively fast.

This place is amazing! Ive looked for several years for an establishment that offers an exceptional chicken biscuit since moving to Denver from the South, and finally found this place. The price, service and quality is superb! Denver Biscuit company cannot even compare to this place. As a one-dollar-sign biscuit spot, Rise & Shine executes to perfection. I like their style of biscuit, that it is more tactile for sandwich-style eating. They offer a unique new biscuit flavor daily, and their have all the good and satisfying proteins and sauces and toppings. Their coffee is good too, making them a one-stop shop. Go to the Sloan’s Lake location and eat it in the park with the geese!

I regularly go to Rise and Shine! This is one of my favorite places in Sloans Lake. Unfortunately, they need to either supervise or retrain the cashier that was working on 8/4 that morning.I always look forward to ordering a large Black & peppermint Iced tea along with my biscuit. First, she tried to serve me a HOT peppermint tea, I thought she was going to brew my ICED tea, so I told her dont forget the black tea bags along with the peppermint tea bagsShe seemed very scattered brained and also failed to actually listen to my order multiple times as I reminded multiple times her that I wanted my drink ICED.Then she tried to serve me the hot tea and I said I asked for the drink to be iced. Then she fills up a cold plastic cup of water and puts in the tea bags.Now I know and I think everyone knows thats not how you make iced tea. I couldnt believe that she thought I would actually accept it this ridiculous version of iced tea. From my previous experiences at Rise N Shine, they always had their black and peppermint tea brewed and ready to serve.. I had to firmly tell her like thats not how you make iced tea.. She said she just started and doesnt know her teas. I was frustrated and ready to leave, so I asked her for a cold brew. She offered to get me a cold brew with any of the syrups. So I asked for a vanilla and hazelnut, she also offered to take my drink off of my order, since it took so long. I politely asked if she could add some oatmilk to my cold brew when adding the syrups. Well she never did and we just left, since it was obviously very difficult for her to actually LISTEN to me and I was ready to go.Again, I love this place, so Im sad I had to write this review, I just wanted to let the owners know about this experience, so they can better train their cashiers and hire people who actually listen. All the other staff Ive met have been sweet and great at their job, she definitely has a long way to go!Please brew your black and peppermint iced tea before you open.

Delicious, and good prices! Fun vibe. This is the place to come for University if North Carolina fans, too (seems the owners are Tarheel fans, and three separate customers had UNC shirts!). I loved the egg, cheese and bacon biscuit (and sausage was solid, too). Cinnamon roll biscuit was amazing! The hash brown was good but kinda salty. But get the cinnamon roll!!

Ive drove by this place for years and there was always a line, so I decided to try it today. The staff was friendly, but the food was very mediocre. Im pretty sure the biscuits are house made, which is a plus. However, they arent fluffy at all. The bacon was the pre-cooked kind and the jam tasted store bought. The iced coffee was also really small for a medium...about 8oz. All in all, it was ok, just not what I expected. Also, pretty pricey for what I got.

First time at rise and shine, the biscuit of the day (green onion) with egg, cheese, and sausage was great. Also got a cappuccino that was scalding hot. The coffee flavor was more pronounced than I like in my cappuccinos.Service was pretty quick and very friendly. Coffee cup lid popped off as soon as I picked it up and nearly spilt the cappuccino. Luckily was able to get a new lid that stayed on. Based on a few reviews the lids are a bit of an issue.All in all good spot for a breakfast sandwich and coffee.

My family have been going here since the early days on 32nd. I was really upset to learn you could no longer order on line for pickup. With the variant spreading like wild fire and breakthrough infections extremely common, I cant believe they are forcing people inside, to stand next to each other in long lines for extended periods of time. Good biscuits, but not worth getting sick or perpetuating the virus for.

A true North Carolina biscuit experience, that was vetted by one who grew up there. Cheerwine on tap, country ham on fluffy biscuits, and apparently the Hatteras (sp?) Is a local thing of using biscuits to make cinnamon rolls. My one request! My please request! If you are charging for homemade jelly for the biscuit, maybe give enough jelly for the biscuit.

Best biscuits EVER! We always get the biscuit of the day to change it up and they have a beer biscuit on Friday. I like to get the sausage because its made in house. Its hard to go other places for biscuits after youve been here. There hash brown are also on point, perfectly crispy and salty. They have about eight beers on tap and happy hour from 2 to 8. They always have samples of their biscuit of the day where you place your order. The service is great and so is the atmosphere! Dont miss out on these biscuits. The best biscuits in Denver! The vibe is perfect North Carolina and all the biscuits are named after cities. Bacon, egg, and cheese for $5. Delicious coffee, espresso drinks, and Pablos beans. Theres a cute patio out back, high seating, tables, and benches out front. Theres a line on Saturday mornings that movds quickly. I love this place!!!

Awesome place. Even though there was a crowd coming and going, we didnt feel rushed. The biscuits were delicious and original, and more than a meal by themselves. Worth driving to Denver to get them 😜

It took me a while after moving into the neighborhood to discover this gem, but now that I have I frequent Rise & Shine and relish in the deliciousness of their offerings. Firstly, I find the food incredibly affordable, especially given the neighborhood. The biscuits are large, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sandwich fixings are creative and delicious as well. They are conveniently located, and do a terrific job serving people safely during a tough time. Whenever I want to impress a guest with how tasty Denver can be, this is one of the first places I turn.

I ordered the Goldsboro and the Canadian bacon tasted old so I didnt eat it. The biscuit was decent. Also, dont do what I did. My first time there I went inside. All ordering is done outside at the window and theyll bring your food. All of the signs they have posted make it a bit confusing at first. Would I order here again? Nah.

So, the only strange thing is your order at the window and they don’t have benches or an area to hang. The food though 👌 I got the BLT, it was ok compared to the chicken biscuit or just getting a plain biscuit for the day. Highly recommend getting that, or chicken biscuit maybe with an added egg!

Every time we do our morning walk around Sloans Lake, we stop here afterward to reward ourselves. Apparently were not the only ones, because there is always a small line ( that moves quickly), waiting for the goodness that comes from each of those biscuits. I recommend adding an egg, cheese, and protein to the biscuit but they stand on their own as well. Hoping they some day add sausage gravely to the menu.

Biscuits are decent. The Asheville was tasty. However after ordering here 3 separate times and each order being messed up, i will never return... The blonde lady at register sold me on a hash brown. I got home and there was no hash brown. So i called and told them and that id be down the next day. Went back very next day and told them i called about the missing hash brown. Well the blonde lady STILL charged me for it. Trying to cheat their customers as there is no receipt given. Unacceptable.

The biscuits here are hard as a rock and they taste like sawdust pucks. we got breakfast sandwiches and these were probably the worst things i’ve ever put in my mouth. nearly died bc of how dry they are. employees were not very friendly either, it apparently is too much to expect anyone in this area to smile or greet you. will never be back.

Love this place so much! It’s a 20 min drive but we’ll worth it. The biscuits are amazing. When we have gotten take out we savor every bite and hate when we’re finished. We immediately start looking forward to the next time. So glad a friend told me about Rise and Shine!

Great place to get a high quality home made biscuit or biscuit sandwich at a fair price. I wish I lived closer.It takes a long time and a lot of work to make a good fresh biscuit with a lot of layers. They do it right so dont expect for it to be cheap. You get what you pay for and it is affordable, dont get me wrong. You can get a biscuit with steak and hashbrowns for 4.50 ish. That is a good deal. They are big.I would reccomend to keep local high quality shops openVisit this place. It deserves to thrive.I will be back when I am back in the area.

I got hair in my food because I had a difference of opinion with the cashier regarding throwing away a coffee cup she said because of Covid they can’t take trash I spent $30 on three biscuits and coffee. Poor customer service do not come here

Waited in line and the lady was very rude. After messing up both orders aka forgetting the bacon which is a 2 dollar up charge and not spreading the jam. They just gave me a bag of extra bacon and didn’t even re-make the food. Terrible customer service in my opinion

This is my favorite place to get a breakfast sandwich in Denver. THEY ARE SO GOOD! So fresh and perfect. The horseradish is a game changer! Also the staff are so incredibly nice. Love this place so much. They also handled COVID so well!

A pretty some and intimate bunch type jointI enjoy the atmosphere. Find it really cool they sell add inside as well. The food here seems to always be made fresh, so it takes a little time to cook. The wait is well worth it however. Had the chicken on the biscuit of the day, which was some type of garlic butter biscuit. It was so soft and fluffy, literally melted in my mouth. Insanely delicious. I definitely want to come back.

Saw someone post a biscuit from here on their instagram story and I knew I had to pick up breakfast from here the next morning. Just finished eating our breakfast and it was SO GOOD. Biscuits were flaky and soft, not dry and crumbly. Has browns were good, and coffee was amazing. It was super quick (I ordered before leaving home and it was ready by the time I arrived 15 min later) and best of all, very inexpensive (especially for quality breakfast in Denver). We will definitely be grabbing breakfast here regularly!

So, soo good. Very few places in Denver do biscuits well (judge me, natives!) but this place has it down. I got the Chapel Hill (fried chicken) on the biscuit of the day (something poblano) and it was fan-freaking-tastic. When we got there (10am on a Sunday, peak brunch time) it was packed but from joining the line to getting our food was ~15 minutes. The only wait was to order - once you ordered your food came out almost immediately. We split a hash brown and hatteras - equally amazing. Highly recommend, cant wait to eat there again.

This place is popular. We had a 45 minute wait for our food. Got a variety of items for everyone and a few extra to try. Everything was fresh and tasty. Good biscuits. One was missing. I replied to my emailed receipt and got a very quick response and a refund. Good service. Would recommend.

Went here our first morning in Denver, its super close to where we stayed and man, oh man I wish I could remember the name of the breakfast sandwich I ordered but I did get a picture. It was freakin wonderful! Everyone inside was super nice, and helped us all pick what to order since it was a new place to us. One of my favorite breakfast places in the area. Id love to go again and try some more new stuff!

The past three times I’ve visited, they have handed me coffee cups where the lids don’t fit the cup. Each time, it has spilled all over myself, burning me and forcing me to clean out my car so I don’t get a rotten milk smell in it. One time not securing the lid is an accident, but three? Come on! It seems like the lids they order don’t even fit the cups.

This is a really special local place. Super friendly and fast service. And when I visited there were fresh garden tomatoes up for grabs in the front. They are taking covid requirements and cleanliness very seriously and I appreciate that!

My husband and I were standing in line waiting to order. The owner came out and didn’t say one word to us. We stood there for a few minutes...during that time a few more individuals walked up. The owner came out and greeted each individual and ignored us. I’d hope to be treated with the same respect as everyone else did. I am trying not to assume it was due to race. Horrible experience, I don’t recommend. How you treat people is impactful. I don’t care how good the product is. I will not be a victimof discrimination.

Hands down my favorite biscuit spot!!! I prefer it over Denver biscuit company. Better than any Ive tried in Oregon or Texas. Perfect sized serving. Rotating biscuit of the day. Homemade jam and the coffee is a true craft coffee at an adorable price. Id choose their coffee over Starbucks any day of the week. The only thing I was not a hug fan of is the Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. Personal preference but I like a little more spice ;) Havent had a chance to try their evening menu yet.
