Really cool place!! The atmosphere is awesome! Theyve got plenty of seating and an outdoor patio. The coffee is really yummy and well priced, and while the food was really good its way over priced (I paid about $15 for a sandwich (with turkey) and a little side salad. The salad was basic but awesome - just arugula, sunflower seeds, and a delicious dressing!)I thought it was cool that the mint for their water was gathered from right outside their front doors!I would visit again for the atmosphere and the super friendly staff, but I would eat before/after visiting.
Spur is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. In addition to coffee and pastries, they have really good, healthy, and filling food options. I typically get a chai tea latte w/ oat milk and the marinated beet salad which is soooo good (and I dont even like beets!). My most recent visit I opted to add a bowl of tomato basil soup and that was the perfect duo. On a previous visit I had just a vanilla latte and a chocolate biscotti which was delicious.I love the open, modern interior and the customer service is solid. There baristas have been really helpful and patient in helping me decide what to order. There is plenty of seating so this makes for a great spot to meet with friends or colleagues. It is also quiet enough to get some work done.Beware: there are no outlets (for those of you needing constant battery life). I also believe the wifi is limited to about 1.5 hours (you get a code on your receipt). They also validate your parking for 2 hours. I typically come here while my car is getting washed around the corner so Ive never dealt with parking.Overall, this coffee shop is definetly worth a visit.
Best coffee shop in Denver! No competition. The owner is certainly a master of his craft. There are always new and interesting coffees they have sourced to try on pour over or espresso. You can also grab a box of freshly roasted coffee to bring the magic home. Yum!
This place has GREAT coffee with a knowledgable and friendly staff. The atmosphere (during normal, non pandemic times) is buzzing, yet you can seclude yourself if youre going there to work. Its a very cute place, and has a nice patio as well.
Im sorry, but their large (12 Oz) DRIP coffee cost me $4.85!! And I thought the coffee was average for a coffee shop. Will not be back. Get a grip!Ive been to many coffee shops with outstanding drip coffee and always pay $2 - $3.
Spur coffee is definitely worth trying out. The shop is a nice place to study and get some work done. Plus, there are lots of other things to do in the area off Broadway. The coffee is pretty good too. They do a good job of brewing and making a pleasant cup of coffee and they also have choices for non coffee drinkers too.
Update 7/14/19:The management at spur has implemented a new “pay to play” model for the WiFi. The guest network is no longer accessible with a simple password. Now, you must enter a code on your receipt to access the Internet.Further, the cap for using the WiFi has been set at 2 hours. For this reason, I’ve dropped my review from 5 to 2 stars. If you want more time on the Internet, you have to buy another coffee or you will get kicked off the network. This baffles me. I used to be able to come to spur and enjoy a full day of work and community. But now, I’d have to buy at least 4 coffees to get work done through the day. Running a public WiFi hotspot is a static cost and dose not increase with the number of guests on the network; so it is not an issue of how expensive it is for management to offer WiFi. It appears to be a simple cash grab and feels as if they’re taking advantage of their guests.Otherwise, more or less everything is the same if not better. There are plenty of coffee options and the new food dishes are delicious. But unfortunately, spur will loose my business. There are numerous other shops across Denver that offer free unlimited WiFi.Original review:Chill vibes, cool people, tasty drinks, and hand roasted coffee. I’ve been a patron of the Littleton location for years now and this new Denver spot is a full realization of the beautiful Spur vision; a welcoming, cozy place that feels very much like home, with a Denver twist. As Spur continues to grow, I’m excited to see where it goes. Bravo, keep doing what you’re doing Spur.
This was my first time at Spur coffee, I really enjoyed how pretty the place was but then I saw how expensive the menu was, then I waited about 25 minutes for some avocado toast just for it to be disgusting. I usually love avocado toast too, it was weird. I just would not recommend going or getting what I got.
Such a nice hang! Food is light and great! Not a place to go for food if you are in a hurry, but why be in a hurry?!! The best part is the great atmosphere and natural light! Love the plants and decor. The chai latte is my fave!
Great staff. Good selection of coffee with tasty additional options. Good food too. Pleasant, clean, modern atmosphere.
Coffee was amazing! Did not realize they had food. But barista was great and coffee was amazing. Great place to sit and work while you enjoy a drink or bring friends great atmosphere and charging stations everywhere!
Very nice coffee shop. Modern, restroom very clean. Staff was not that enthusiastic. No parking at all. If I am in area and can find parking I would go back.
Place was great. Clean and comfortable. Workers were friendly and engaging. Coffee was very good. ONLY complaint was the charge of $1.00 for a refill. I know I am old and dont get out much but that seems like overkill. I would make it a go to place for me if not for that charge. A free refill and then leaving a $1.00 tip would feel better to me.
Tyler and his staff serve a great cup of coffee at reasonable prices. The snacks and sandwiches are always tasty.
Walked into a clean-lined, airy, natural-feeling space with accompanying live plants. Absolutely delicious mocha with great texture and depth, made even better by their peppermint syrup being house made! Tried the mushroom + pesto sandwich, and it is without doubt one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. Barista Tyler was professional, yet very friendly and personable, and makes a heck of an espresso. The only drawback I noted: no latte larger than 12 oz. Literally finished half of it while waiting for the sandwich, and it was gone before I got to work. 5 Stars if they will offer a 16 or 24 oz!
Just average. odd non friendly staff. no simple black tea even on the menu. there are other choices nearby that are much more friendly and appealing to me.
Awesome atmosphere, the decor is top notch. Very friendly staff. The coffee is awesome and not super expensive( I got an Americano for 3.50). Nice location, the only issue is there doesnt seem to be free parking close to the coffee shop, they have their own parking lot but its small. Also there is a disco ball which is sick. Robin is awesome.
I didnt care for the coffee to much and the staff wasnt very friendly. The decor was a cross between industrial and shabby chic (?) Which was very nice. Based on my experience I wouldnt recommend but I wouldnt go kicking and screaming if someone wanted to go.
One of the best Vegan spots in town! Wide variety of options from sandwiches to bowls and all have been delicious. Killer coffee to boot- seriously great spot.
The Denver location is as spectacular as the Littleton location! Their coffee flavor is oh! so! tasty! (I recommend asking for a extra shot of espresso if you’re getting a latte) The staff is extremely friendly and chill. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry, because they’re not.
Great coffee, delicious food, and an exceptional atmosphere. You can really tell that every element has been curated to make the best coffee, food, space, and experience possible. Hands down one of my favorite places for a break or quick meeting.
Spur was a really cute place and the baristas were very friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. My cappuccino was okay. They use the standard almond/soy milk that most places use. They also have little bakery items and parfaits. I would go back for another cup of coffee.
Amazing avocado toast. Def can tell they put alot of effort into the decor, felt really nice to be in there! Served espresso so nice and neatly. Amazing spot all around
Clean, friendly staff, and really cool vibe. Great coffee too. Quick for the drink, a little slow on the food side. Will definitely be back.
Shlepped over because I wanted to give it a try, but despite doors being opened was politely shooed away. Is this the only coffee shop on town which doesnt open until eight?
Well designed coffee shop with great small food options. The food is not inexpensive but delicious. One downside is that the food is slow to arrive (took about 20 minutes).
Love the decor inside, very inviting and bright. The coffee is wonderful and their menu looked delicious as well though I didnt order anything from it.As someone who works remote in a lot of coffee shops, I did notice that they do not have many outlets (a few on the walls and a central one at the community table) and you can only connect to the internet for 2 hours.
Clean modern decor and open natural lighting, really comfortable space despite being on a corner of Lincoln Street. Staff is great, friendly and fast service, coffee was top notch. They have a seasonal menu for foods and pastries made fresh in their kitchen; I had the Breakfast Sanwhich, the arugula was fresh and sweet, ciabatta was toasted and soft, and overall just a pleasure. Choice of pastries is eclectic but worth a try.
Great coffee! About to eat the breakfast tacos. If they’re not amazing I’ll come back and edit this review
Some of the best coffee, tea, and cold drinks Ive had in Denver. Yes, I had all three in one visit. It was a long visit! Atmosphere is great also.I am giving it only 4 stars because they could really know the prices down just a tad.... I usually do not complain about the prices, but these were extra high.
Great spot to work on your laptop, meet locals, and enjoy amazing coffee! The staff is very nice as well.
Everything about this place is perfect. They took their time and are meticulous about every aspect.
Cute coffee shop, but very limited power outlets. This is by design because they don’t want you staying too long. WiFi is available for 2hrs only with a purchase. Again to limit your stay. The WiFi is also limited as I could not access 1Drive because of their firewall. So I would not recommend as a work friendly place, just coffee and friend gatherings. I get it, they are trying to keep traffic flowing through.
Hands down best latte in Denver! Also, love the vibe here. Tons of natural light and plants and plenty of room to spread out and get some work done. Even has a little parking lot!
Absolutely gorgeous environment. The food was great, although I didnt notice a full menu until someone had asked for it specifically. Maybe make it more apparent? The baristas knew their coffee profiles well and the milk pours were great. However, the batch brew was slightly astringent and the espresso, at least for single origin, did not seem to be dialed accurately. Overall an excellent space and experience. I would give 4.5 stars if possible. Definitely will return.
Great space! Tyler, the owner, is very knowledgeable about his coffee! The Van Der Wessen is a beautiful machine and a nice addition to the high quality of coffee offerings!
Mocha was great! Staff was friendly and I love the atmosphere.
One of my new faves, anywhere. The place brings everything together: Aesthetics, attention to detail, care for food/drink. Wonderful space, with great people. Top shop...
Great atmosphere today. Garage door was open with the wonderful weather. The vanilla latte was perfection.
Probably one of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and inviting. The esthetic was on point with tons of light, plants, clean lines. Highly recommend, what a great experience.
Im a coffee lover and have been for years. And with out the slightest bit of hyperbole- this is perhaps the best place in denver for just that. Warm interior, state of the art coffee gizmos and tools, and of course its a place to spend hours hanging and relaxing. I love this place!
Best americano I have ever had! (and I have been to a lot of coffee shops). The roast is great too so you cant go wrong with the drip. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautitul shop with light and casual atmosphere. If you are intimidated by specialty coffee shops because theyre sometimes snooty, this is the place for you. You will feel welcome and comfortable here and the staff are happy to answer questions.
Love this spot, I visit multiple times a week for my caffeine fix and their great Vegan food options. The atmosphere is perfect for whatever situation, everyone is super nice.
Such great vibes.Only thing is their internet. They obviously do not want you longer than 2 hours. Internet is cut off every 2 hours and difficult to connect to.
I only had the drip coffee but it was really good. Chill place- plus it has adequate and free parking which is sparse in this area.
Great spot to drink some delicious coffee and work or just chill.
F youre going to get work done, be advised they have begun charging for WiFi by the hour in the form of requiring purchases. This is aggravating considering the already high prices compared with many other shops.Other than that its a great spot for coffee and environment. Ive been a Spur customer for years at their Littleton location and they always do a good job.
From the stunning design and display of the food, to the taste, presentation and quality, this place is a must!
Definitely had a cool vibe upon entering and very well lit. They have bar seating as well as a small patio outdoors. Coffee was decent (had a iced vanilla latte). Better than Starbucks but not quite compared to Bardo (down the street) or maybe Wash Perk. Friendly staff and service. Make sure to email yourself a receipt if you are wanting to use the WiFi as your password will be on it. If you forget, the staff was helpful in retrieving it. Also WiFi limit is 2 hours I assume per purchase.
Clientele is made up your classical Coffee Shop worthy goers. The Chai latté is not worth the $5 in my humble opinion, but its quite tasty otherwise.
Decent coffee and the best breakfast tacos Ive ever had
Gorgeous space, generous layout for solo coffee shop trips or group hangouts, and (of course) good coffee. I wish they had some more manual brew options, like pourover or Aeropress, but dont let the lack of those options keep you away.
This would have been 5 stars if not for the new, obnoxious, wifi. Ive been visiting this location since it opened and the wifi was easy to use. My phone remembered it from my first visit and would automatically click onto it whenever I stepped foot inside the shop. Now, I need to open my phone settings and enter a silly little code on the bottom of my receipt EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And, the code is only good for two hours. What was once streamlined and efficient is now cumbersome. The coffee is good but Starbucks has an easier to use wifi.
Classy, clean, great food, good vibes, and the coffee MUY FUERTE! Wish they would open for adult beverages at night
Great space good shots but 30 minutes for a breakfast item is a little absurd.
Oatmeal was great but Slow service and not very friendly. Also no toilet paper in bathroom. Seems odd with having 5 staff in a small coffee shop.
Update: WiFi issues have only become worse. Every time I’m here someone sitting beside me asks about WiFi issues they are having.Love this place but their WiFi policy is constantly changing. The WiFi will drop several times per hour and then cut you off, even if you are a paying customer. The staff is great but management/ownership needs to stop messing with the WiFi.
Weak WiFi signal, no outlets. Nothing special about the coffee but okay for a simple cup of joe I guess.
Wow this place is soooo hip fun and delicious..
Great coffee and food!
One of the more interesting coffee shop concepts Ive been to!
Nice coffee shop with very friendly people and quality food. Had seconds of their avocado toast.
Staff could be more service oriented, counters are there but you must order from the order station.
You will not believe this level of authenticity and quality is being made and served right here. Amazing Coffee and Snacks are Delicious.
Amazing food, the coconut cake is delicious and great coffee
Cool environment, great coffee and green tea latte
I was really excited about this place because platform tea was awesome and I was so disappointed in the service. I tried here 3 times and the service was bad the first 3 times. So disappointed. I got a premade tea and people behind me with fancy coffee drinks were served first. and the tea is not consistant. Its also very annoying that the manager parks on the way out because the parking spaces arent facing the right way, its ridiculous to back out of there when you could just go forward but the managers car is there. Ive already seen people hit cars in that lot. Not that great of place, miss the true tea lovers and great staff of platform tea.
Great cappuccino! It didnt have too much foam, wasnt burnt and it had a great smooth taste. Aesthetics are also great here - clean Scandinavian, modern and bright. Inspiring without being distracting. Wifi is really good, I got 39 Mbps download and 21 Mbps upload speeds.
So classy, gorgeous interior design, makes one feel spacious and bright.
Delicious coffee, reliable WiFi and great seating options.
The best Avacodo Toast I have to date.
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious coffee and pastries!
Update: Draconian Wi-Fi policies combined with the fact that the WiFi doesn’t even work properly in addition to covered up power outlets made me come back and give less stars. Still nice folk there, though.Original review: Friendly staff, good coffee, clean. 5 stars.
Great spot and atmosphere. Perfect for a date.
Cool atmosphere and great gf and vegan pastries
Open, airy coffee shop. Great service!
Excellent food and nice atmosphere! However the food took a long time to come out.
Small funky very expensive coffee shop.
Excellent coffee and cake.
Great coffee in beautiful place
While I really appreciate the offerings for vegans etc. the size of the coffee drinks is severely lacking and costs almost $7.
Great cappuccino, but frustrated that they don’t open until 8am.
Email address required for wifi.
Super sweet service!
Good coffee.
Really enjoyed the place at first but they have changed policies which make the coffee shop quite expensive and unfriendly if you dare stay longer than one hour.
Excellent coffee
