The specialty coffees are inedibly sweet... I wasted about $15 on two coffees I didn’t drink and a bread. If you’re looking for an authentic type French café, this isn’t it. Maybe their non coffee drinks are better! Overall, not a great experience. The barista was also rude and made a show of not being able to hear me (I was wearing a mask and she was not). I’m sad to say I will not be returning.EDIT: they were very kind and refunded my purchase after I told them I could not drink the drinks!
Great little coffee joint just off campus.Free (although usually a little crowded) WiFi.Super friendly staff. Fresh coffee. Little morsels if you wanna pick on something. Was my coffee house whole time I lived on that side of town.
Great coffee and quaint atmosphere. A good place to study near DU!
Nice little shop, very comfy type of feel. However, there is this one (kinda middle-aged) female employee whos been rude to me TWICE. I usually shrug it off when someones clearly having a bad day and I give every one the benefit of the doubt. But to see consistent, $h!tty attitude is just unnecessary. I will not be back. I saw another loyal customer post the same.
Finally a panini place. They have great coffee too, really liked the Lucky Bloke if you want a specialty drink. However, I came for the paninis and Ill be back for the paninis, especially since its not too far from my wifes work place. Mediterranean focused for the sandwiches, Ive only tried a couple of them but they were both very good. Was impressed with their cookies too, honestly just great stuff all around, I doubt youd be disappointed with amu choice
Heather, the owners sister who works most days is and always has been rude, angry and always seems inconvenienced to make my drink. Today her attitude lost you a regular customer. I honestly felt uncomfortable everytime she works and only continued to frequent the place because of close proximity to my home and work. My experience had been 100% better when she wasnt working. I was spending $7 + tip for my drink everyday, you would think that is enough to be treated nicely or at least not acting like Im the enemy. I will be taking my $9 a day somewhere else. It would behoove you to treat your neighbors better. If you have similar complaints let them know on their Facebook page as well.
Love to try the specials when traveling, had the coconut cream latte with coconut milk and it was incredibly rich and smooth. Love the dairy free options and the kindness of the employees
Lovely place! My husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere here.
This place is by my house and I LOVE IT. The owners are so kind and I love that it’s local and not a Starbucks 😅 They have an array of baked goods & it always smells so yummy in there! They even have food too and wine if you drink :)
These guys are the best. Feels kinda like “Cheers” when you come in and see the people you like over and over.
Amazing nitro cold brew!! They were so friendly and helpful. Amazing experience!
My favorite go to coffee shop! The owners are just amazing and they not only make delicious coffee, but have delicious breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The baristas are all super nice as well! You definitely got to visit this place!
Perfect neighborhood spot!Wonderful staff, location, menu and ambience - they’ve always treated us with the utmost care and hospitality. My only request is that they bring the chorizo burrito back 😉🌯
Great coffee, breakfast burritos and pastries and super friendly owner and staff. It makes my morning to stop in for a treat before going to work!
I love this coffee shop! They have very good coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Often times Id go here to study for classes or grab a glass of wine with friends. All the employees are very nice and they get to know each and every customer.
Visited during Covid. Would have loved to stay and hang out, but I get that we cant right now.Anyway, this coffee is delicious! Awesome service too
Awesome place to have coffee and breakfast
Love it!! Their coffee is so good, the atmosphere is great, and their paninis remind me of Italy! (now some new vegan treats found their way there, too.. and if you like gf, they got you)
I love this place, the staff is always so nice and friendly- makes you feel like you’re walking into your friend’s cozy home! Tasty lattes and nice beer/ wine selection. It’s a bit expensive, but I’ve just come to accept that coffee shops are always like that.
Super cute, hidden gem by DU. Lots of yummy coffee drinks, good selection of wine, pastries and food. They even have a variety of tea options. Oh and did I mention they even have a happy hour?!
Once you realize there is parking in back, this place is great. We usually ride a scooter but when we stop by in a car, the super-secret and plentiful parking in back is quite welcome. Im not a coffee shop snob. What I want is good, hot coffee and a fast and free wireless connection. I have had breakfast burritos here and they are good. Their baked items smell great but I havent partaken.
The steak was very grissley, i really wanted the ribs, but they did not have any due to the reduced menu
Tasty iced coffees. Love the frozen coffee ice cubes
One of my favorite coffee shops. Amazing staff and the best breakfast burritos Ive had!
Great tasty breakfast burritos, they are not the biggest but the price is right. You can get two of them for the same price of one if not cheaper then burritos from other places in the area. They are also hot and ready, so no waiting around. The coffee is also on point and the service was great, felt like I knew the guy for years. Look for easy parking in the back thru the ally, follow the signs.
Cozy place. Friendly staff. Great prices on tea, coffee, wine, lunch and sweets. Parking lot can be tricky to get out of but otherwise awesome location! Get on their rewards and get discounts!
This has become my all-time favorite coffee and tea house, but that is far from describing this place! They have coffee and espresso creations, a ton of tea selections, tapas and wine, local craft beers, original paninis and a whole slew of baked items sure to delight! They also have happy-hour from 4 to 7 PM where you get half off the entire evening menu! I have been coming here for almost a year now, 3 to 4 (sometimes 6!) times a week, just look for the guy in the black leather hat with goggles on it!
There is a wonderful woman working here who is perfecting her gluten-free baking. Go give it a try! I had the GF cinnamon roll and it was delicious! Casual spot with lots of tables for working or chatting, lots of food & bev options.
Cosy tea /coffee house with great atmosphere. They even offer gluten free lemon bars that are amazing. Very friendly staff and good music played in the background.
Cutest little cafe! Great drinks, wifi, treats, atmosphere. Its so cozy! The staff is generally friendly and helpful. Love their little sidewalk patio in the morning, though University is a loud street. Also they have great food--get their breakfast burrito and a coffee for $5 in the morning! cant beat it!
Great coffee and friendly staff! I especially liked the Creme Brulee Latte
The pastries, the coffee, and the wine are all phenomenal! Definitely my favorite coffee shop in the area! And plenty of room, as well as free wifi!
Great food, service and coffee! Heather is amazing!
Great community cafe. Good coffee, pastries, breakfast burritos, and excellent evening happy hour with a few brews on tap.
Amazing craft choices and the best service with such a quaint atmosphere. The staff who run this coffee shop daily are the reason I keep going frequently!
Great place to study, meet up with friends, or just chill. Im fond of the wide selection of teas, but there are many other beverage options (coffees, kombucha, beer/wine, etc). Would recommend to anyone.
Its really cute and really quaint. Small, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Amazingly comfy chairs. Its a little off the beaten path for being around DU, but the food is fairly good, coffee is a bit better and cheaper than starbucks. Go here for a first date and doing homework!
I love this place! I moved away from Denver for a short time, but every time I was back to visit I had to stop here to get coffee and a breakfast burrito. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and they even remember my name and favorite drink. I will choose LBR over any chain coffee shop any day! Ive moved back to Denver now and every time I come in for coffee or happy hour it is a great experience!
Great coffee and drinks. Tasty sandwiches and Cookies like grandma made em! Also the evening happy hour makes drinks cheaper than the bar next door! Also great and friendly staff!
Such a wonderful place for studying, meeting an old friend, or just grabbing a quick bite before work/class. Happy hour isnt limited to drinks as they half sandwich deals and free cookies as well (with a purchase)! Unfortunately Ive never had the chance to taste their wine or other alcoholic beverages, because they do not take vertical IDs. It was a bit of a let down, but the staff handled it smoothly for the most part, apologizing and suggesting I use a passport or another horizontal form of ID. Being from TX, I wont get a new ID thats horizontal until my current vertical one expires in a few years, but each time Ive been back I havent even missed it! The coffee and ambiance is worth the sobriety!
We visited La Belle Rosette for the first time this weekend. I went to this coffee shop because it sounded great in the description and had stellar reviews. Since it was located near campus I figured it wouldnt be TOO expensive, but I was wrong. The coffee tasted great, it was the price that drove us to the conclusion that we wont be back. We paid $6.25 for a medium Frappuccino. How can any college student afford this? Sorry to say but the price alone took them out of contention as a place to return. Great coffee though!
The atmosphere at La Belle Rosette is a quaint and peaceful coffee shop conducive for studying, catching up with friends or even collaborating on group projects. My two Favorite Items on their menu are: Dirty Chai and their Smoothies. Please go and try at least these two items on their menu! You will be wonderfully happy you did.
Mocha had just the right amount of foam and not overly sugary like so many places are doing.
Really friendly and welcoming staff. They have an excellent menu to choose from and a nice chill atmosphere.
Great food and friendly staff. Stayed with a friend in Denver for a week and went here every morning for breakfast. Cant beat the $1 bagels.
Smallest 6oz? cortado. Why are we still charging for milk substitutes?! Dont punish the people who dont want milk in their coffees.... especially if its just a splash..... which this was, and make them pay extra.
These guys are just excellent at what they do. You come here for the coffee, because it’s awesome, and because the people who like awesome coffee aren’t *too* awesome.
Love going to La Belle Rosette. Espresso is always smooth and delightful. There chocolate chip cookies are soft and a perfect match with coffee
As a Lamont student, La Belle is a treasure! It is a short walk from the Newman Center, and their coffee and sandwiches are fantastic. Definitely get the spicy Chai latte for a nice warming snack, or a glass of wine during happy hour.
Great, friendly staff. Nitro cold brew, cold brew based cocktails, wine, espresso drinks, chai, hot tea, appetizers, and some sandwiches. Cozy and comfortable seating. Great atmosphere.
The woman with short hair working there was so rude for no reason 👎
Great place to meet people and have a drink of coffee or soda or something. Very nice environment.
Super cute little place, great vibes. Sweet staff members.
Great place for getting work done! The coffee was so good and pretty, and the people were very kind. A+++++
Great little shop for coffee, snacks or adult beverage. Super happy hour too. Independently owned
Great food and staff. Fair prices for delicious food and drinks
Great happy hour options and good food. I enjoy that they sell coffee and liquor until late. My only issue was that the bench seating area is very uncomfortable and you have a windowsill jamming into your back.
Have always loved this little coffee shop! The friendliest staff in town and GREAT coffee!
I was very tempted by their food choices, but I only had their Latte, and Im glad I did. Great Coffee LBR! Ill be back to try some menu options when I have a bigger appetite. :)
Pretty good coffee and decent service. They have great gluten freeee snacks! Free WiFi so its a great place to sit and get some things done.
Had the Ohio breakfast panini at lunch. Damn good! Looking forward to happy hour with half off most menu items!
Great drinks and food! They also have a good array of wines and beer.
Me and my husband having a mocha and a cappuccino. The taste of coffee was not good but love the place.
Amazing gem of a coffee/wine bar.
Classic cafe. great coffee, dulces and jazz. comfortable seating. friendly staff.
This is a small coffee shop without the cookie cutter feel of Starbucks. Really nice decor, excellent coffee and fresh pastries!
I had an excellent mocha here. The smothered veggie breakfast burrito was also very good.
One of the best coffee places I have ever been to. The staff is amazing and the coffee is really good.
Favorite coffee shop near DU, the staff are always cheery and helpful and never fail to brighten my day. I love the vanilla protein bars and veggie burritos, they go perfectly with delicious fresh coffee!
I enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Good place to get work done, and great iced coffee.
Nice place, friendly people great coffee and food. Loved the meatballs.
Cool college hang out. Ill be back
Comfortable Cafe with great coffee. I had the Almond Joy
Cant go wrong with a breakfast burrito and the nitro cold brew!Update: The happy hour from 4-7 is becoming a part of my study routine. Half off beer/wine and their evening food menu!
Cafe with a large variety of drinks and foods, recommend trying their panini and Betty Burr. Lots of table space for work, with a small couch in the back. Super friendly staff! Helpful with suggestions from their wide selection. They provide a large variety of breakfast burritos, paninis, and baked from scratch pastries (often gluten-free and/or vegan), I tired the Pearl (sausage, havarti, pesto) and it was excellent.Eventhough espresso and wine is in the name, what caught my interest was the large variety of tea drinks. Tea leaves and infused tea notwithstanding, their Betty Burr made with house infused tea and Citronique (lemonade of various citruses and flavors) was fantastic! As expected parking was a bit difficult. They have a small lot in the back, in an alleyway off of E Wesley Ave., but expect to look for street parking as it only accommodates maybe 6 cars.
Lovely place with great coffee. The staff are always pleasant, and its a good place to sit and study.
Small, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, great coffee selection, a variety of Panini and wraps. The Turkey Bacon Swiss panini is delicious!
Lovely spot. Great service. Great chai. And I got a free cookie!
Terrific, quaint spot near DU. Lovely drinks and service. Very European, with comfy chairs, books and games.
Quiet, studious, a bit pricey. Food options are okay. Chairs are all super uncomfortable.
Great selection of coffee drinks, teas, wine, and more. Fun atmosphere and great staff!!!
Really cute, cozy little spot. Good happy hour and delicious baked goods!
Cute and comfortable. Really nice staff!
Owners are very friendly and always know exactly what Im going to order. This shop is cozy and unique. :)
Great coffee and service. Popular study spot. Best place for eavesdropping.
Great coffee spot, fast and personal service, quality you can only find with an owner run business.
Great service, great management. Could not be happier
Cozy indie coffee shop and wine bistro, a block away from the Newman Center for the Performing Arts.
Excellent latte and Mona Lisa sandwich. Could have included something more with the sandwich though, chips or whatever.
The food was terrible. My sisters and I got two cinnamon rolls and a blueberry muffin. One of the cinnamon rolls was barren of frosting and the muffin was extremely undercooked. The only reason I gave it two stars is I realize its a coffee shop and not a restaurant.
Excellent place. Drove from Anschutz Medical Campus, worth it! Panini was spectator and latte even better. Great calm place to work.
I adore this place. Truly a favorite.
Coffee shop/cafe. About a dozen tables and a few couches. Classical music on audio. A few outlets. Local photography on walls. Large selection of paninis and light food. Moderate selection of good quality loose leaf tea. Only chai is from a mix which was admitted to be too sweet. Free wi-fi with no password.
Paninis were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Their chai and coffee are very good
