Cool atmosphere but the fact they were comfortable selling me the wettest cappuccino of my life was very disappointing. I took about a minute to get it after it was called and 90% the foam on top was already gone. Underneath was a consistency matching a wet latte.
I absolutely love this place. The food is excellent—I have never gotten something that didn’t hit the spot. Donuts & (alc) drinks are outstanding, and their waffles are 🤌🏾 ( even though they’re gluten free). Every bartender/barista is friendly and enjoyable company. They truly care about service and your experience at the cafe. I highly recommend this place as a study spot, evening drinks, anytime munchies, friend making, happy place.Thank you to Conor, Levi, Erin and Juliana for the continued stellar service.
My wife and I came here for breakfast on a beautiful sunny Monday morning. We ordered a latte, breakfast sandwich, and a vanilla latte. The Cafe is very nice. I love the warm and dark modern industrial vibe to it. The employee that helped us out was nice. She gave us a number for our order and had us sit anywhere we wanted (as long as were social distancing). The latte was called out at the bar for me to grab, so keep an eye out when its ready. The food was brought to our table along with utensils. The coffee was delicious, although, it was more on the warm/cold side. I dont like my drinks HOT where I burn my tongue, but I think this could have been a lot warmer (it would have made the taste better). However, it was still good. My breakfast sandwich came with egg and bacon between two delicious & flaky buns. On my plate there was a side of hush puppies (I think thats the name?) and they were pretty good too. This was the first time my wife had chicken and waffles, EVER. She really liked it and devoured it in minutes. Hard to say how good they are compared to other places, but she gave it a 9 out of 10! Overall, it was a good place to grab breakfast before heading out to the airport. Although my breakfast sandwich was good, I think theres room for improvement, especially for the price. If we had more time in Denver, wed come back and check them out for cocktails in the evening!
I would give 6 stars if I could. My girlfriend and I had the chicken & waffles and the tot hash with brisket. Both meals were incredible. The chicken was perfectly tender, the smashed tots were unique and delicious. Both meals had an impressive blend of complex flavors. We left very satisfied, to say the least.
I love this coffeehouse, bar, restaurant. Great service and drinks and food and vibe. Go go go!
My first impression going was positive. It’s somewhat close to the REI Denver Flagship. I was drawn to the eclectic room and seating arrangements, the art, and, well, everything about it. This Carbon Cafe and Bar sits next to Habit Doughnut Dispensary, which sells a different flavor gluten-free doughnut everyday. That’s a definite bonus, for my family members who love doughnuts. The baristas at Carbon were friendly. So, I returned to check it out. Good place.
Excellent cafe, great vibe and environment to work in it attracts a lot of people trying to work for that reason. Only feedback would be the music in the areas people are working in could be a little softer it will be more conducive for people to get things done.
Everything is cooked to perfection. Its not cheap like a cafe but it is gourmet and worth every penny. Super a nice staff as well.
Wow. Such a great place at one point that justified $10 bottomless coffee. They must be suffering. I feel for them but will literally never return to be gouged. Heading to nearby Prosper from now on because that was shocking and unreasonable.
Bad service and really rude barista. I’m hesitant to go back here again because I simply don’t want to interact with their staff.
Currently here, it’s been 20 minutes sitting at a table with my wife and watching the staff completely and rudely ignore not only our table but also another table full of Asian-Americans. Seeing as my wife is Korean-American it’s easy to pick up on the discriminatory pattern going on here. Hard to think in this day and age that this behavior exists at a restaurant of all places.Good to see their true colors exposed and wish I didn’t have to leave a bad review for something like this in 2021.
Its a vibe for sure! Tasty tater tots and decent eggs. Had a good time
Love the coffee here. The whiskey infused donuts next door @ Habit Doughnut Dispensary are a delicious welcome addition to my cup of joe. Loved it!🥰
Carbon cafe and bar is one of my favorite brunch spots in Denver. Great for coming to hang and do work in a comfy/cozy/hip environment. Even better place to enjoy some delicious food with both indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee here is really great. All different kinds of lattes and cold brews with CBD options. I love the CBD cold brew.Happy hour from 3pm-6pm is $5 wine by the glass and $20 wine bottles. $5 well spirits. The Wu Tang Loaded Tots are a must. I love the breakfast bowl and the MC Habit breakfast sandwich. The employees here lovely. Emily and Sam are terrific. And after earting or just hanging out, stop by the doughnut dispensary for a little heavenly treat!
Been here multiple times and spend a good amount of money here. the customer service is not really the best nor are the servers really attentive. Ive come here on multiple occasions to be left seated for more than 20 minutes with out being helped. I have to get up to place my orders or request a server. the food is good the drinks are good but the staff really needs to step it up or they will be losing business In the future.
Great staff, great fare, good for a night out 🍻 or a study session ☕
Always good music, great staff and a comfortable space to work or relax. They recently changed the menu and it’s a heart breaker! Bring back the kale chicken salad and all the other gems! Still an awesome spot to have coffee.
The donuts and food itself are just amazing.Especially the Chicken and Waffle breakfast was savory and delicious!
Great atmosphere, service, food, and drinks. Best tater tots Ive ever had.
Great place to grab food drinks especially when waiting for bike service at REI
The seitan bites were awesome - I love chicken wings and this was a delicious alternative
Great coffee, also great food! And great vibes.
Funky hipster coffee/alcohol bar. Doesnt have mochas or soy milk. (oat, almond, & one more). My coffee was adequate, but not enough to bring me back.
Hands down one of the coolest places. Daniel was the absolute best. I came in and he custom made a cocktail for me that we now lovingly refer to as The Tiffany. Highly recommend it and him. Thanks Daniel for making my night unique, tasty, and all around awesome. The food was great and the staff was friendly and creative and you can tell its a feel good kind of place. 🤩🍸💪
We came here for coffee and a snack this morning. They wouldn’t be my first stop for a latte, but the doobie snacks were very good! Simple and tasty. The donut, which I imagine is from next door, looked like it was going to taste divine. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me. I would come here for drinks and a snack instead of coffee! Still a cool little place, loved the ambiance!
Nice place to seat back and relax. Friendly staff. Tots were really good. Didnt care too much for the oat tea.
My favorite cafe/brunch/work hangout place in Denver! Great vegetarian and coffee options, hip industrial ambiance, staff are always friendly.
We primarily came here for some great coffee but the coffee here wasnt up to the mark at all. The food was good. The place was good to sit and work . I would not recommend it for coffee. Better to come here for drinks and the donut place next to it which is amazing for plain donuts or liquor shot based donuts.
Love this place. Its my go-to spot to meet up with someone or get some work done. Great ambient music, tons of seating, amazing staff that is always participating in conversations around and about. The picture is one of Carbon coffee and a donut from Illegal Donuts next door. Do yourself a favor and do both.
Even though the greatest bartender in the world (Ken Turner) no longer works there, still an awesome time!Im well aware its the same name as mine. Its a... different Ken Turner... 😉
I just went to use the bathroom and they treated me with respect and did not question me about just using the bathroom
Absolutely love this great eats, drink and vibe space. Starting w/ the music, its always spot on and chill to work in or have a work or date meet-up. Today, I had the Chicken and waffles (sweet vs savory) which had a great breading w/ the perfect amount of tangy goodness mixed w/ fresh fruit and a great syrup. In short, Ive been coming here consistently over the last couple of years and stands the test of time. Also, theyve taken the walls which had intentional graffiti from the previous business and framed pieces of them for decoration... Very cool!
So I go here a couple times a week for coffee but I just went for their happy hour (oh they also have a bar ladies and gentlemen). Grace was seriously one of the best waitresses I have ever had, so kind and attentive without being annoying. Seriously awesome, just go
This place is awesome...super attentive and friendly staff..fantastic happy hr prices..solid wifi and dope donuts next door. Go there!
Wow! Carbon Cafe is our go-to stop when shopping for gear at Wilderness Exchange and REI. Their coffee is off the charts delicious and filled with flavor. The atmosphere is cool, yet cozy paired with really friendly staff. My boyfriend frequents this place for their Bullet Coffee (complete with espresso and butter). I recently tried their Blue Matcha with Earl Grey Syrup. Not only was is beautiful, but it had a sweet flavor that wasnt overpowered by the match powder. ALSO - one of the best breakfast burritos Ive every had. Their breakfast tater tots are HUGE and very crispy. Great stop for a cup of coffee or sit down brunch.
Super-moist lemon pound cake, and favorite fig-laced buckwheat scones from the crowd, if you need help to narrow down your order. If you love thin and crunchy cookies, this is definitely for you.
GRACE. What can I say, if you have the pleasure of interacting with grace you’ll get a 5 star experience every time. One of the best servers and friendliest people I have ever met. Will come back for HH with her every time
The barista was super nice and spent a great deal of time answering our questions. I had a latte with a scoop of some kind of vanilla powder, a shot of espresso, a shot of cbd, and a shot of Baileys. Omg it was the best iced coffee Ive ever had in my life. If Im ever back in Denver, this will be my go to coffee house!
Great food, cozy space with nice decor. Has a ramp but is probably a little tight accessibility wise. Bathrooms are also tight. Sinks and counters are tall. Some tables are bench seat size.Wait staff is great, bathrooms are clean. Really tasty food with a diverse menu. Tea was lovely too. Parking on street or at the paid garage across the street.
Delicious Chai tea thats dairy free which I loved soo much! However they could be better at attending to customers. I asked for a for here drink so that they would put it in a mug but they instead gave me a to go cup which was a bit disappointing. I wanted to take a pic for the gram :/
Great food, amazing service and atmosphere!
This is the dopest coffee shop Ive ever been to. The decor is sick and grungy. Lots of graffiti on the walls, but all purposely put there to give it that edge.I drink a Carbon Bullet and its so good. Their food menu looks amazing. I cant wait to try it all. This is my new go to in Denver for my coffee and to hang. Im not a bar person, but this place has a Dive bar feel without the drunks. So Happy with this place. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable about their product. I cant say enough.....
This is a cool cafe, bar, place to hang on a cold day. Nice outdoor seating when the whether permits. These guys make a great coffee, they know a good kiwi flat white coffee and would rank a close 2nd in my list of top cafes in Denver, CO.I actually cant fault the coffee, the atmosphere is pretty cool and easy located to where my office is.What let these guys down was a really bad interaction with one member of their team 2 days ago. Granted - Im not a regular, but i have been in 3-4 times this week while in town on business. One young girl clearly having a bad day snapped a little bit and had some attitude. I like it when people feel empowered to be themselves at work - everyone is unique, however being rude to a customer shouldnt be tolerated.I must state - Ive probably been served by a couple of staff and only ONE interaction. The rest of the crew seem really cool, have some banter and really helpful. The venue opens into the Donut store next door (very dangerous for those with a lack of self control such as myself with sugar) but wow - it looks pretty amazing!Worth checking out while you are in Denver, and a short 5-10 min walk from Union Station area.
We have been visiting Denver for the last week and out of all the experiences we’ve had dealing with customer service, these people were the best! So friendly, so helpful and so welcoming. It felt like the first people that wanted to actually have a conversation! The best customer service in Denver hands down. I got the pomegranate green tea and it was bomb too. 👍🏻
I was hoping that I would come back to this shop again because I really loved the place, staff, coffee, and foods. I enjoyed every moment that I visit in your shop. The foods and the coffee that I ordered taste very good and yummy. Overall, I like everything in your shop. Thanks a lot!
Always pleasant! The vibe, employees, and snacks make this spot ideal for lounging with friends or working.
Amazing coffee, beautiful space and outstanding art. You dont even have to step next door to get a Habit Donut, just order along with your coffee or tea!
This is a very spacious coffee shop with fast Wi-Fi, so its perfect for getting some work done. They serve high-quality coffee and teas as well as a full menu of breakfast/lunch dishes. I love that they have oat milk (which most coffee shops dont). They also have pastries and mini donuts from Habit, or you can walk next door to the actual shop and get the real deal. If I lived in Denver, I could definitely see myself being a regular at Carbon.
👎🏽👎🏽 terrible service.I told the server the staff is not friendly, I will never be coming back.He shrugged his shoulders like he didnt care and said ok!Vitiligo makes me beautiful and Im proud of the way I look. My money is not good at these franchises and neither is yours.
Got drip coffee and the hash with brisket, all delicious, service was great. We sat outside, and they let us move inside when it got too hot which I thought was very kind. Inside and outside were both very stylish and atmospheric. Would definitely come back!
They make a mean cup of coffee, the dimly lit, cushioned, and spacey interior makes it a great spot for all sorts of company.Outdoor patio is off the street and welcome for a quiet sit down.
We live in the area and have walked by this place for months thinking it was just a coffee shop attached to a gourmet doughnut place. Walking in, though, youll see a quaint little bar in the back with a good selection of beer, hard seltzers, hard kambucha, and hard liquor. The music tends to be 90s and early 2000s hip hop and rap, if youre into that.Levi has been our Bartender the 3 times we have visited, and he has been great. He also makes a mean Old Fashioned. We havent tried the food, but the menu is interesting and weve seen numerous dishes being delivered that look very goodFor a small bar, they do have a good selection of the better stuff. For example, their bourbon includes both Woodfords and Basil Haden.
The ambiance is very nice, good music, my waitress was very nice and welcoming, and actually everyone working wa, restrooms were clean. I didnt really like the donuts they were kinda hard and not as soft as I like but my boyfriend really liked them so i guess it depends on preference. The loaded potato balls were really good and the spinach salad was ok, I think it would be better with feta lol but again my preference. Overall id go again next time Im in town for sure.
Stumbled upon this gem! I walked in and was hit with so much more than expected! Boozy donuts, CBD infused, and a full menu! I settled for a coffee that the barista crafted to my liking. I was very happy with their accommodation! I also had the avocado toast, delicious! The atmosphere was amazing. If I lived here I would spend hours here.
Ordered a few different drinks here - love the American, iced or hot, the espresso is amazing. Full bar, Pliny the elder, kombucha, and a beer wynkoop blonde stout made specifically for Carbon!Carbon seems like an A+ place to have a cup, cocktail, or a bite to eat. Within the area you wont find a better cup of coffee. I recommend stopping by morning or night.
Good spot day or night to get some work done. Friendly staff
About as good as it gets for a coffee shop to grab lunch and take a call from
Everyone at our table was glad to be there. Ill return friends next time. Prices were reasonable. This place has many great reviews for a reason.
We stopped here for lunch while on a bike ride. It was perfect. We shared the Chicken salad sandwich and a couple of the Carbon tacos and still had half the sandwich left to take home. The food tasted healthy and fresh, the portions were great, the green tea was refreshing with a little flower taste and not too sweet. Well be back.
This was my first time going to Carbon Cafe. Wonderful service! I ordered a chai and BLAT. The bread for the sandwich was perfect, as was the bacon. I will definitely be back, possibly to work from there, and to try more of the menu!
