This happened today: November 29-My son followed his beautician to jc penny whom had worked at another shop. He had the same service done he had with her twice at the previous shop. The stylist tried to charge him double the price for the same service he had with her at the previous shop because I quote “this is jc penny”. She later tried to justify the price by giving us a 20% discount for previous client, which did not decrease the price.As his father, I advocated for him to receive fair charges and not be manipulated to pay a 100% markup. I refused to pay the double price and agreed to pay $60 as advertised in their brochure.My son later acknowledged to me that his stylist told him that she had to charge him double while she was doing his hair in the chair.I will follow up by writing a letter to the store general manager because no individual should be treated inequitable.
