Victor is the best! My partner and I visited in December going in with so much trepidation and then Victor turned it around and we left the store very confident that we made the right decision to get our rings from Windy City Diamonds.A little background, my partner and I do not like wearing jewelry and have zero knowledge about rings. For our wedding bands, we only knew that we wanted them not to be thick. We also didn’t want any precious stones on them but we still wanted our rings to have some personality on them instead of just being plain bands.We were prepared to be turned down but Victor actually took our somewhat tall order as a challenge and decided to work with us from scratch. In the process of doing that, he took the time to provide us the much needed knowledge about rings and made it a fun experience for us. I couldnt believe my experience after all the rave reviews Ive read but mine was a little different.First, the process was very rushed and not easy. The place was always busy, which I thought was a good thing, but it was hard to get my fiancees engagement ring right and the staff there just said whatever you want, but we needed more guidance. After all that, the ring we received was not exactly what we asked for. When we approached them the sales person told my fiancé to just try it for a while before they change it.But the kicker came when the engagement broke off and I contacted Windy City to return the ring and was told I would only get 50% of the purchase price back because it had been over 30 days, it was barely over 30 days. Ok, I get not getting all of it back, but 50% of a ring that expensive is just not acceptable.Ill never go back and will tell anyone and everyone I know to avoid this place and find someone who is a) easier to deal with and b) has a more rational return policy.

Ill even admit that I did not make things easy on here as I ended up being pretty picky about what I wanted.Komal kept in communication with me and let me know when the diamond had arrived, when the band was going to be made, and had me come in for a final inspection.I was blown away, and needless to say, so was my now fiance.If youre worried about starting the engagement ring process - give Komal a call and let her take care of it. Where to start... I worked with Denise and she was absolutely amazing! She listened to what I was looking for and was able to deliver! Every other diamond store kept trying to sell me diamonds out of my budget or just wasting my time in general. Denise is super friendly and treated me like I was her own family. I truly felt she had my best interest in mind. I bought my wifes engagement ring from Denise and my experience was so good that I went right back to her to buy my mine and my wifes wedding bands! I will always go to Denise for buying diamonds in the future! Its rare to find a salesperson who cares about you more than they care about the sale. Oh ya she gave us a free bottle of wine! Awesome! Would 100000% recommend getting any custom rings done at Windy City Diamonds. My fiance and I initially found a gorgeous ring online, but it was way out of our budget. We went to Windy City Diamonds and met with Denise to discuss doing something similar, and we were able to get it to 1/5 of the cost.
