Absolutely outstanding service!I was on my way home from jumping my car due to a dead battery and stopped by Tuffys to see if anyone was available. Even though they were already way past close, they still didnt hesitate to help me out. They checked my battery health and Mari even drove me to the store to get a new battery and change it, all at no cost to them. They were so kind and caring of me, even after the store hours. They made me feel welcomed and taken care of since I know nothing about cars.Mari and her husband really went ABOVE and beyond to help me out and reminded me that there are truly good people out there in the world. I will 100% be going there if I ever have any issues with my car and will recommend them to any of my family and friends here in Nebraska.Thank you guys!
I love Tuffy’s especially working with Jim. I always bring my car here for everything from oil changes to tires and general maintenance. The pricing is always up front and they are always honest with you and don’t try to get you to buy extra bs services that you don’t need. I really appreciate the way Jim takes the time to explain and show you what’s wrong with your car rather than hand you a piece of paper with the charges like most mechanics do. Lastly, they try to work with you to get your car repaired during a time that will fit your schedule. I definitely will keep going back.
The staff is wonderful! Everyone was super helpful and very friendly. My vehicle’s tire issue was fixed in a timely manner and I left happy!! I wouldn’t say I’m excited to come back, since vehicle issues are the worst, but if my car needs more service, I’ll definitely be back to Tuffy’s! 😄
Both times I went there to get something fixed they broke something on my car and refused responsibility for it. They replaced my starter and broke the connection to it. And when they replaced the oil pressure switch they broke my hood release. When I contacted them about it the owner said “don’t complain about my employees”. He offered to fix it for free but only if I bought the replacement part. Not to mention the guy that drove my car into the service center was careless, steering hard until the wheel locked and driving fast into the garage. I thought I would have a better experience because I met the owner myself before hand but he never even touched my car. I wouldn’t recommend going here for anything more than a simple oil change.
Ive been going here for years now. They are always so nice and professional. They even shared donuts with me one time😊 Even when its crazy busy they always have smiles! Great work and reasonable prices!
My tire blew out on my way to work on the Friday before new years. I got towed to Tuffys, and they told me theyd get it worked on as fast as possible. They found me a new tire before the end of the day, only to find out my rim was cracked and I had to get a new one. On Jan. 3, I had my car back as good as new, and it cost me about $300 less than we had originally thought. I will never go anywhere other than Tuffys again.
67 days. As of this review they’ve had my car for 67 days with little to no communication. I brought my car in to have sensors replaced and had no contact with anyone at the shop for about a week. I then went up to check on it (because their phone lines are down of course and have been at least since I brought my car in on July 31st) only to find out they hadn’t even looked at it yet. Weeks later I’m told they had to take it to the dealer because they couldn’t figure out the issue. It sits at the dealer for another couple weeks because the owner (Jim) refuses to let them start the work because he doesn’t want to pay them to do it. Did I fail to mention none of this was ever told to me and was all done behind my back? That’s because every day when I would text him he would tell me that it was being worked on and would be ready tomorrow. Fast forward another month and it’s still there at the shop while I get very few texts to tell me what’s going on, just the excuse that “they sent the wrong parts” and “don’t worry I’m working on it”. Long story short, don’t ever come here, for your sake.
I went up here for a check engine light test.They did not tell me that my oil pan was rusted and burning a hole through it. It was leaking out oil. That’s something that should’ve been communicated. I won’t be returning because I know now that they half do things.
Edit: The owner reached out and seems like a very amicable guy. He addressed my issues in a very genuine way as well as offering solution which are great signs in a business! Nothing is perfect, but I appreciate them being able to work with any troubles a customer may encounter.I came in a day before with a coupon from the Papllion store and was told it was usable at this store as well. I scheduled my oil change for the next day. It took 20 minutes to get my car in the shop and another 35 to get it done. Once they were finished they refused to take the coupon.
I came her on a recommendation from someone but I would give it no stars if that was an option! Don’t expect to be in a hurry if you come here. They over book! We had a 9:00am apt today that we made last week for my husband and I to have a oil change on both cars and a tire rotation on one of the cars! I also asked for them to check the cabin filter on one of the cars cause there was a musty smell when I have the air on in the car! it’s 11:30 and we are still here waiting. Not to mention this place is over priced as well! They told me it was going to cost 189 total! so that means they charge about 60.00 a for an air filter and 60.00 for a cabin filter, which they had to order and when it was delivered they realized it was the wrong one. They had ordered another one but by this time I was just very upset from waiting I told them forget it!!! I ended up paying 79 for my oil change cause i did not want to waste another min of my day off at this inefficient place waiting for the correct air filters! I will not be coming back to this place ever again!
Id leave 6 stars if possible. I walked in about 17 seconds before they closed and told them I had a rattling under my car. I only asked for them to check to see if i could safely drive it home across the interstate. Heath, who was great, had me pull the car in right then, lifted it up, and fixed the rattling issue in ten minutes flat. Spoke briefly with the owner, who was a stand up guy. They sent me on my way, insisting I didnt owe them a dime. I dont even live in Omaha, but they just earned my business from a city away, and my recommendation to anyone going forward.
I did not have a good experience with Tuffy in Bellevue. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and for a leak in the brake line. Four hours and $300 later, I left without the brake issue resolved. I mentioned to the man at the front that I wish he let me know initially that the rate for labor is $100/hr, which I think is quite expensive. He proceeded to argue that it was posted on the screen in the lobby, but then quickly realized that it was not. I approved an estimate for a certain amount of work, then they tried to complete additional work without telling me and charge me for it. After I told him the $660 estimate was not what I had initially approved, he tried to charge me $480. After I again told him I only agreed to the first estimate, he backtracked on his words and charged me the amount I had agreed to. He was unable to explain clearly what work had and hadn’t been done. The only competent person I interacted with was the tech, as he took the time to walk me through the issue with my vehicle and explain the work that he did. The people who were working with the customers were not professional. If you take your vehicle to Tuffy, make sure you look over your invoice before paying, and have the tech go over the work with you so you don’t pay for services they did not do. Also make sure they apply the correct discounts; they tried to charge a woman full price when she qualified for the senior discount. I regret bringing my vehicle here at all.
My wife nearly had a break down right outside the shop, she was able to get it in just before it died completely. After diagnosing the problem and discussing a solution with us, they searched and found an outstanding recall for the same issue. I was able to trailer the vehicle to the dealership and hey everything fixed no charge they the dealership. It wouldve been very easy for Roger and the team to push me to pay them for the repairs, but in a very class move they did what was best for the customer. Will be going there for future needs, for sure. Thanks

If you ever find yourself in Tuffys, RUN. Run far far away.Took my car in to get checked out. Called for 4 days trying to find out what was going on. Finally they let us know we needed a starter. Let them know we had a warranty and that was covered. We went into the shop 30 minutes after that call. We were upset it took 4 days to find that out. Again 30 minutes later we are in the shop but now told the engine seized while one of the technicians were driving it.... It took them over a week to call the warrenty company. The owner sending rude texting us when we ask for an update. Our warrenty company calling us everyday to update where we were and if we had heard from the shop. Finally Tuffys called the warrenty company and the ball got moving. The warrenty company sent the adjuster and we came to a dead halt again. The engine Tuffy chose the warrenty company would not approve as it had high mileage and no warrenty.The warrenty company waited for Tuffys to send the new engine paperwork. After 2 weeks of my car being in a shop the warrenty company finally had the info the needed and approved the work. Again many rude text from the owner as we asked for updates.Took another week and a half for the engine to be done. Tuffys told us it would be ready by whatever time. Time came and went no car. We got an all cap lock text that he was doing all he could. The next day he let us know the car was done but we needed a new battery. At the shop waiting for the car. Watching the kid put our new battery in turn around to kiss his girlfriend every 30 seconds. We were just happy to get our car back after a month and to drive away never to return.Ive had my car back for less than 30 days now. The check engine light is on. While driving the car powers offs. Cant get it to restart. Get it towed and the shop tells us our ECU is fried. The technician let us know our batters positive terminal was not tightened. This caused an arch that fried the EUC.Thanks Tuffys!
I would not go here again. Paid over a thousand dollars for them not to fix the main problem that the vehicle was brought in about, they said they would figure it out, and after a week and calls to them everyday, nothing happened. Their staff was rude when we asked why nothing happened, and they had no response. I guess its time to cut our losses and go somewhere else. Would give 0 stars if I could.
The guys are always looking out for their customers and making sure that the cars are correctly taken care of. Always charged the proper amount.
I called Tires Plus in Bellevue at 1:15 to see about getting a flat repaired and stated I wouldn’t be able to be there until I got off work at 4:00 and they told me they could get me in. I show up and they don’t recall talking to me so I show the call in my recent list showing their number. They tell me they only have on guy and he’s swamped. It’s now 4:30 and all the shops are closing soon. I come to Tuffy’s and they got me right in even though they closed in 30 min. Tires plus can go pound sand. I will bring my business here from now on! Thank you Tuffy’s!
Tire blew out on our way back home to KS and they went out of their way to get us taken care of. (Even though it was after business hours). Would recommend to anyone in the area in need of auto services.

Took my car in for an oil change, and noise coming from the muffler. Found out it was my flex bar, had that the oil change and other minor issues fixed for a fair price. Jim even bought me a soda while I waited. I always get great customer service and quality, fair prices whenever I go to Tuffys. I will never take my car to any other location, and i will tell my family and friends about this location, thanks Jim and your crew.

I went to drop off my car to get new tires. It took 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. I told them I was needing new tires and I would like to use my tuffys card. The lady told me they werent taking that as a payment but shed see what she could do. I re told her i wouldnt be able to do anything without the tuffys card. I left i had to come back to ask about my vehicle and again same service. And the man told me they werent using the tuffys credit card at all. So my whole morning was wasted by them. Didnt get anything accomplished. And had i not gone they wouldnt have called me till God knows when. Do not recommend. Yet they have the tuffys credit card displayed all over.
Jim is a great guy, I called them to get my brakes done and told them I was in a hurry to get them done because I had an important meeting to go to and he was able to have me come in the second they opened. They work extremely quick but also very Diligently. They offer a fair price and a military discount. I highly recommend giving this auto shop you business. 15/10 they truly did an amazing job!

We made an appointment to get the brakes checked on thursday, for 2pm on friday. I arrived at 150pm, and wasnt even acknowledged until 207pm. The guy said we will call you when its done, I said how long will it be just for an estimate, he said about an hour. We happened to drive by the area at 245pm and it was still parked there. Finally at 6pm, we havent received a call, so I called them and nobody answered. Apparently they close at 530pm. This really screws me, I did not say they could keep it overnight!! Tomorrow I will be contacting upper management and will not have my vehicle taken there anymore. I am very disappointed in Tuffys.
Jim and his staff have worked on my car ( way more than I like) several times. Each time Jim gives me the best deal available. I always walk away feeling like I was treated like family. It’s never fun spending $ on automotive repairs but they help the process not be so painful. They also have an excellent financial program that I have taken advantage of a few times as well. I recommend them to all my family and friends

AMAZING experience. Jimmy and his crew figured out what was wrong with my car after about 6 months of the transmission light randomly coming on and shutting back off. After having all the recall parts replaced because the dealership thought thats what it was, it turns out it was a sensor that can cause your car to shut off while driving it. Thank you for making me feel safe in my car again 😃😃

Honest diagnosis, solid service, reasonable price . . . got my vote.
I strongly suggest going somewhere else. Brought vehicle in on Wednesday with 4x4 not functioning, I suggested it could be electrical. Asked for and was told I could get truck back on Friday. I let them know, once the 4x4 is figured out and fixed I could use new tires too. Get a call Thursday night...and I paraphrase here (hey, we figured out the issue with 4WD, it was relay, were going to go ahead and fix that....heres an option for tires, if you want them, you need to pay tonight so we can order them, truck will be ready by tomorrow at noon, we can leave keys for you if you want). I pay $917 over the phone for them to go ahead and order the tires. Come in on Friday after 2:00, truck is sitting in the lot, doesnt look like it has moved, I go inside and say whats up with my truck (oh, something with the order, tires didnt come in, whatever) but Im assured itll be ready by Saturday. Get a call Saturday morning, again confirming truck will be ready by 12. Get there at 12 on the dot, truck is on lift with the tires off. I let it go and drive away, we have another car and Im with my family, pick it up Monday. HERE IS THE WORST PART, come in Monday directly after work, get my invoice which takes a peculiar amount of time to print by the way, get my keys jump in and start it, test 4WD....and nothing...it doesnt engage! I look at the invoice more closely and I was charged $96 for the diagnosis of the 4wd issue with a statement at the bottom that says customer declined service on 4wd A $225 repair for an apparent relay issue. Why in the world would I agree to a $96 diagnosis fee and decline a $225 repair fee when thats what I brought the truck in for in the first place!!!!??? They tell me a story that it was checked and was working, which I dont believe for a second! Why would it say customer declined at the bottom. I am so discouraged. Just moved here, 4WD went out in first snow of the year and Im still out. Its so hard to find a good, honest reputable businesses. I thought about going in and laying this out to them in person, but it wont do any good, and I dont want to be around there anymore. Going to see whats up with Yecks, hopefully I can get 4wd back before next snow.
Jim, the owner, left no stone unturned trouble shooting a very strange starting problem in my 2003 Chevy Malibu. The car started in the day, but at 6:30 in the morning it wouldnt start. It took a while to figure it out, but in the end, the car was fixed. As a bonus, I was not charged for parts that were replaced in the trouble shooting process (which were significant). I only paid for necessary parts. They went the extra mile with me.

I had an inspection done and had a miscommunication with not wanting a service done to my car, but it was already performed to my vehicle. But the clerk fixed the issue for me, and I was completely surprised. Ive been to autos shops where they do things that I didnt ask for and stick you with the bill. But the issue was completely taken care of and I have never experienced an honest auto shop that would do this. If I ever have anything wrong with my vehicle, i would take it to them without a second thought, because this experience showed me the character of the employees here is genuine and honest.

After seeing the reviews I thought I would bring my car in for a control arm replacement. I didnt even get past the phone call. The guy on the phone seemed disinterested and when I explained what I wanted done he said he wouldnt give me a price without looking at it. Then told me that they charge $30 just for a consultation. I once more explained that I just need an estimate on the parts and labor and we could go from there. The guy then told me that I probably do not know what I am talking about and so hes going to only give me a price after a consultation.
Horrible customer service. I ended up having to take my truck in 3 times for it to be fixed and fixed right. Just shy of $3,000 in the first round wasnt done right...brought in second time was told it would take 20 mins.....90 minutes later it was fixed but didnt fully resolve the suspension issue and I was late getting to work....had to bring it back again for a 3rd time and then they charged me another 60 to have it fixed again. Wouldnt bother returning my call about my vehicle and I had to drive down to get an answer. It still not aligned and ended up taking it to Tire Plus to get it corrected and fork another couple hundred due to Tuffys not fixing it and wont call back. I just called yesterday....lady answered.. takes my info...says Roger will call....24 hrs later still no call. I regret having used them at all and wont be in the future. The worst customer experience at any shop Ive used.
First time here and these guys are awesome! They hooked me up on replacing my struts and even found a bolt they didnt have too. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles here from now on!

They are more than fair with their prices and found a genuine sense of honesty at a place you would expect to get ripped off as it is such a large company. Absolutely unbeatable prices and service for tires at this Tuffy location in Bellevue!!!! I called them on Friday for prices on a new set of 4 tires, which were crazy cheap. I even had a specific brand of tire that I wanted and they still smoked all the competition with their pricing. As for the service.......I was scheduled for installation the very next day (Saturday) and when I showed up everyone was very busy but Dale immediately jumps right on my truck and within and hour he was done with the set of 4 tires, mounted, balanced, and free alignment check. NICE!!!!I have also had them do significant work on my daughters cars and I totally trust them to be honest and provide a safe, reliable vehicle when they are finished with it, while NOT trying to sell me anything that I dont need!This place is loaded with great people and they are a lot of fun to do business with. I highly recommend this TUFFY location!!!!!!!!

First came in and wanted dual exhaust done. I had some of the pipe so he said around a couple hundred bucks. I come pick it up two days later after they said it would only take 1 day. Tried charging me $450. Owner said hell do 225 since he said a couple hundred. So I pay it. Go look at my truck. Exhaust tips are about 6 inches past the exhaust. The tips are crooked and the exhaust pipe is pushed up next to my spare tire. To many problems. Not coming back thanks for your cheap service Ill head to house of muffler for any exhaust from now on.
If you need an honest opinion on your car, this is the place to go. Theyll tell you exactly whats wrong and fix it without overcharging or selling you something else that you dont actually need. Theyll take care of you and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this Tuffys to anyone.
I am loyal to a Tuffys in Bellevue. The staff is outstanding - David even took his time to explain and even show me exactly what was going on with my car to ensure I was understanding. David is very personable and was so kind on the phone, very easy to work with and in the store - it made me confident that Ill never take my car to another shop around. I am very pleased with the results whenever I take my car there, and I couldnt be more satisfied with the professionalism of the staff!
Just went in for a oil change apointment. People there were friendly enough but it did take a bit longer than I was told. I selected the 75 dollar option and after they finished i was told my rotors were warped and I needed them replaced. I told the young lady I would pass on that service and she didnt try to push any further on that. When I went to pay I was told it would be 20 dollars extra for the synthetic oil used in the change. I asked why do I need to pay extra when I already selected the the lower service. She told me they always charge more when they have to use synth and that it should be in writing. Needless to say even after having another co worker comb the fine print there was nothing written about this up charge. I paid because they had my car and did the service without telling me it would be extra. After I paid one of the young ladies joked that she could always put the oil back! NeedIess to say I wont be back. Make sure you are getting the service that you selected and ask them to tell you if you need anything extra....

I had issues with my air conditioning in my 2014 Dodge Avenger been there a couple times and Jim treated me right. If you need some auto mechanic work done check Tuffys in Bellevue you wont be disappointed.I will start going there to get my oil changes.

Dependable; trustworthy; and they take the time to talk to you; no rushing with you even when its close to quitting time. We wont go anywhere else. Oh and get their coupons out of your Val pack.
They were quick to fix my vehicle almost complete repaired the front end shocks all the way around and were done in two days was a little pricey for me but I would rather pay that then them take forever

The only place in the area that I will bring my car to! I have had several issues with my car in the last several months from a fuel pump to needing breaks replaced and the prices are always fair. When Ive told people about Tuffys Ive used the term honest mechanic because that has been exactly my experience. All of the staff are friendly and helpful upon each visit, and were exceptionally wonderful when I had to drop in for a wiring issue. While I got to enjoy the super Christmasy decorations in the office, it took less than 5 minutes for them to have me in and out! Nothing brings more joy than fun lights and a short wait!

My SO was referred to this husband and wife owned business after she had expressed discontent with her previous mechanic service and she in turn referred me to it when my vehicle needed service.I have had my vehicle in several times for a variety of issues and have to say that as of the first time I had work done here was impressed with the level of customer service focus they displayed. Each time Ive used Tuffys I have been increasingly convinced that I have now found a garage that will get all of my business. They are more interested in providing customer service and making sure that their customers are well taken care of and have a safe working vehicle, then they are at gouging them for the maximum profit. The last thing I had done took a bit of time and gave me the opportunity to watch how the owners and staff interact with their customers over the course of several hours. It was an experience in excellent customer service.As I said Tuffys will be getting all of my business and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their car or light truck. Definitely a business that excels.
Ignores their customers, they do not care about performing service in a timely manner. If you want to wait for over an hour for what they can do in 5 minutes, come here. If you value your time, dont.
Best service anywhere, very reasonable competitive prices. All time fav repair shop, the staff make the difference. And even the owners are helpful and awesome!
I went in cold on a Saturday and they took me in! The thing I really liked was they had A female mechanic! I asked her if she could tell me the truth, Do I really need new windshield wipers? No one pitched me on them but I always worry about this. She said sure no problem! She came back and said no, theyre good! Finally, I felt like I found people I could trust over the smallest thing, just as much as the big!!! By the way, thank you for hiring a women mechanic!!! Tuffys in Bellevue ROCKS!!!
Tuffys is youre one stop shop for oil changes, tires, engine flushes, and brakes. Great staff
Over an hour and a half for an oil change and guy was very rude because I was a new customer. He was very nice at the end when he took my money however.

Great Service. Had a brake problem right before the holiday, making the car unsafe to drive. The guys and gals at Tuffys came through big time even going the extra mile to running down a part that was vert difficult to find working late to get us taken care of so me and my kids would be safe getting home! Thank you All at Tuffys for taking such good care of us!
Had an emergency exhaust issue with my 3/4 ton turbo diesel. They were able to work me in, fix my exhaust and get me back on the road. Great staff, and A+ work! Thanks Tuffys of Bellevue! ☆☆☆☆☆
Dropped my daughters car off with a coupon for tire rotation, oil change and radiator flush. They called and said everything was done and the car was ready for pick up with a bill of $135 and some change. When I arrived I noticed tires were not rotated because brake dust was still on my front rims yet they tried to charge me for rotation. I ended up taking my keys leaving and called the owner Jim. Jim talked to his guys and also found out they did not flush my radiator but tried to charge me for that as well. Jim said all his guys are ASE certified and it was all due to a lack of communication. My oil was changed but I was not charged a dime because of the hassle and was offered to bring the car back for free, an offer I was not comfortable taking. It may have been a serious lack of communication but I hate to think of my 18 year old daughter doing this on her own as she would have just paid and left thinking her car was serviced even if it wasnt. Serious rookie mistakes for ASE Certified Mechanics. Will not go to Tuffy again.

I had a problem with Tuffys doing work I didnt authorize. But I called the owner, Jim, and we worked it out. I am still a little questionable on the quality of work but they are straight shooters.
