They do carry a lot of things. always get more than what I went for, it is hard to find staff to ask questions at times. So it might be faster to Google what you need to know............ not sure if they are short people or if it is because they are just so busy, could be both.
Any time I have needed assistance, employees have been wonderful! Store is always clean, and they have great deals.
I have to take the time to say I was in the store Saturday 10/9, looking for crazy obscure items. Several people were trying to help (but they may be new), and we couldn’t find my items. Finally I asked a young girl named Danielle for help, and she knew where everything was! We walked through hardware, as well as lighting and she found me exactly what I needed, and even unsold me a few items. She’s an asset. Great shopping experience!

Menards is very understaffed and the people that are staffed at Menards really don’t know much that’s in life. there’s been numerous people that had issues with Menards I don’t understand how a business can be ran like that. i’m just recommending to Menards to give your employees a little bit of training. I mean common sense training not just store training but the store is horrible I’ve had issues in other towns with Menards and that’s all I have to say. so don’t get screwed over.
I will not purchase any products from the corporation. As I know it really doesnt matter to them. So I went to return some pop cans of which Menards is the only store that sells this brand. I was asked for ID to return cans. I have returned cans at four other Menards locations and have never been asked for ID. I asked if this was a corporate policy and was told that for this store it was. Jeff Nelson the store managerapproved the transaction without an ID. But the point is there is provision under Michigan law that requires a ID to return cans. If its corporate policy,fine I will abide or take my business somewhere else. But to never have been asked for ID before, this situation has put a huge question mark about things at Menards. Heck I know corporate office probably wont see this review.
So unorganized When you buy something online they charge you processing fee Purchased over $4,000 worth of black vinyl fencing. Then they sell it to other customers Employees are Not doing their job I dont know what their system is but it is horrible You click Online Ship to store By the time it gets there they put it out for other customers to buy it and then you get there and its all gone You pick up half of your order and thats it So frustrates Then they say LimitedThen they say limitedThen they say limited storageBlah blahBlah blah blahBlah blah blah the place is Ridiculous
We have been coming here to pick up special orders since April. Three times they didnt notify us that our order was in. Once we were shopping for other items and saw an item we were waiting on order on the shelf. To make matters more frustrating, while trying to get what WAS in, one of the ladies at pick up suggested to the gentleman helping us to not get in rafters because it was a partial received and what we had was probably it. It was not. The base WAS in the rafter. We also had to reorder a piece that was missed the first time.
No eyes rolling or attitudes. Just some great sound help. Cashier was tired, one could tell. But she was so friendly and kind. Will be back for future materials for other projects.

The associates on the floor were friendly and very helpful, particularly Hunter and Fred.Checking out, even thou my items were few the cashier spectrum ringing me up and didnt bother to listen when I said I had the exact change she just cashed me out with the cash I handed her. As opposed to listening and waiting for the change when I said just a moment I have to change. It was just very upsetting that she sped through to where I couldnt even see what my purchase is rang up at to ensure that I was getting the sale prices.I wont be back but to return the wrong items and Menards wont be a first choice for a while.

This was the first time weve been here, and I was pleasantly surprised. When I asked where two items were, an employee walked us to the items even though we told them that they could just point us in the right direction. They have a large selection of what we needed (painting and sanding tools). The prices seem very reasonable as well so far.
I asked 4 associates where I could find what I was looking for was told not sure where that is 4 different times! One was standing in isle texting facebooking what ever. The 5th person I asked finally walked me rite over to what I needed.I forgot her name but she was very friendly and helpful.
They usually have everything I need at a very good price.

First of all, long time customer here. Small purchases here and there. But recently me and my wife ordered $4900.00 worth of cabinets from this store. We were ASSURED that delivery would take place no earlier than 8am and no later than 12pm. 1 o clock rolls around and we were informed that the delivery truck had to go back to the store because THEY FORGOT TO LOAD OUR CABINETS. We had paid contractors there at 12pm to install our cabinets. Mind you, these guys are paid by the hour. Fast forward to the next day and come to find out (surprise surprise) the delivery truck left TWO of our cabinets on the truck. My wife goes to Menards (from Marshall) and informed them that they still had two of our cabinets. They agreed to refund our delivery fee. However, once the last two cabinets were loaded on a cart, the employee simply left them at the entrance to the store and walked away. Leaving my 65 year old Father in law to load them by himself.Awesome. I mean just top notch customer service.Lowe’s it is for us from now on.
Very good service! Several workers offered to help us fine what we needed and were very friendly. We were able to work with a wonderful manager in the kitchen dept. that was very patient, informative and asked many questions of us to assure she understood what we wanted. We will definitatly return.

Menards in Battle Creek has the rudest staff. No one is helpful and when you ask for help they get totally annoyed. I wish Lowe’s had better deals. They are more helpful. Time to find another option even if it’s in another town. Very disappointed
Great customer service and outstanding sale price on a 42 electric fireplace that also heats. Great selection of building materials. Besides the store, they have 2 covered warehouses of everything I ever need. Much greater selection than Lowes.
Aside from it being a great place to get what you need, the employees do not have an understanding of executive orders. I was asked a plethora of times to leave the store when I did not wear a mask. It was an extremely uncomfortable visit at this Menards.

Bought a stove 2 months ago, was told it arrived 1 month ago, went to pick it up, it had not arrived, was told it would be here June 14, called to see if we can get it, nope! it wont be here until July... Done, we are asking for a refund and taking our business elsewhere.
I like this store, we are looking for new steel exterior door with new Larson storm door, we found exactly what we want.

Customer Service was poor. I had to hunt down an employee anytime I was looking for and they just pointed to the otherside of the store and left me to go find it. The checkout system is also very confusing.I can see why that place was a ghost town with very few people shopping

I would give lower Stars if I could!!! Battle Creek Menards had one wood look bench left that was the floor model.. I still wanted it even with the scratches, until the manager wouldn’t discount it with the damage. That place is a joke!!! They don’t even have a senior or military discount.

Two times now I have submitted a building material list for quotation, and two times now I have called after about three weeks to a month to be told that the material list cannot be found in any of the department heads box. This is after I called a couple of weeks ago and they were still working on it. Then I get the excuse we have so many building material list to do I guess Imkinda funnythinkingmine was one of them..

Price gouging hours to fear mongers. Honestly the only reason I ever go there is for 11% rebate and that’s only because it might be able to beat other stores but even then it’s hard to say. The only reason you’re enforcing the mask laws is to make our governor happy because you guys decided to rip us off when we were hurting the most. Now everybody that works there is an a power trip. It feels like communism in the store.
They have 11% rebates on everything. Just fill out the paperwork and they send you a rebate check.

Had trouble finding someone for assistance. After purchasing product went to pick up and wasnt in stock. Then had to get a refund. Wasted evening and gas.
Found what we needed. Only issue was the associate covering plumbing did not really know what he was doing. He may be new. This is the first time in this store where, when I asked where something was, I was told to go look. Usually, associates take me right to the item, even if its all the way across the store and I tell them I know where to find it. They still usually insist on taking me.
Over the years, I have purchased thousands of dollars in products from Menards. I was always promised rebates for my large purchases, but have never received one...EVER. Add the fact that they became the Mask Police in 2020 and I will probably never shop there again. The employees arent as familiar with products as the Lowes employees across the street and they lack Purple Heart and veteran parking and discounts the competition offers.
Went for an interview and had every hope in the world. Im disabled, paralyzed on my left side and you could tell they didnt want to hire me as soon as I walked in. The men who interviewed me werent rude, but had a bad demeanor. I would never consider a job there. People are rude, you are treated like you are stupid and management is a joke.
Low supplies due to covid still on plywood and the quality of the material is getting worse . Very thin veneers on the imported plywood. Prices are very high for imported low quality hardwood plywood

Management is terrible. I cant believe how he talks to people, actually seen him run after customers yelling all the way to the parking let and while the customer loaded up truck. Not sure what customer did but hes out of your store and spent a lot of money. I have never seen something so unprofessional in my life. Too bad, cuz I like love Menards. Very disappointed..

The stores layout takes some getting used to to navigate. One of the employees in the tool section was suuuuper condescending when I asked where to find a step ladder, so if youre also looking for one, save yourself the trouble of asking them-- all of the ladders are on the back wall over in the paint section.
I used to shop here, until they started refusing me service for not wearing a mask. Fine, you dont want my business, Ill go across the street to Lowes. Your loss!

This place is a joke. I stopped going here a long time ago for a reason. I bought a mini fridge online to pick up in the store. After it sitting in my spare room for 2 weeks completely unused they refused to let me return it. They said it had been past 7 days. The return policy says 90 days even after showing that to them they said the fridge was used because it was plugged in. I still have all the plastic on the fridge. Never again will i buy from menards.
Negative 5 stars for Menards! Absolutely horrible customer service! Complete disregard for individuals unable to wear a mask....went to lowes and received a warm welcome, and shopped without a mask and without persecution!!

Being understaffed has all the employees on edge and unwilling to help because they have no one to cover there post so they lie about what they can and cannot do. I also seen the GM being very rude to the customer service representative. I wish I didnt have to come back to this place but the prices are unbeatable probably because the limited staff.
Had to look for a while for what I needed, which I did find here and couldnt find at lowes but I had several associates walk past me and never acknowledge me or ask if I needed help.
Experience: They do not care, if you have a legal disability.. They mistreated myself and my friend with a disability. They would not respect his rights, and we were fellowing executive orders.

My last experience was quite delightful. John in Hardware assisted me in picking out a table saw and a skill saw. Both have worked out fine and his advice whats good and he was courteous, and efficient.
I just can’t get on board with the entrance fee. I can’t decide whether I find it more comical or sad that a business of this magnitude would use a pandemic to suck a dollar profit out of customers. Wouldn’t it make more sense, from a business standpoint, to offer the masks for free if you really want “your customers” to wear them. Lowe’s has to be loving this! No cover charge to shop there.

Do NOT buy face masks from here!!!! They are defective!!! The elastic band that goes around the ears separated from the mask as soon as we tried to put 4 out of the 7 we bought on. The 5th one u could see through the bag the elastic band wasnt connected on 1 side. Didnt even have to take that 1 out of the package to see it was defective. Only 2 masks out of 7 were not defective!!! My 2 children and I drove 20 minutes to Walmart to get groceries and didnt have enough masks (out of 7!!). I couldnt leave them in the car since it was a couple days ago and the heat was in the 90s. So we drove home empty handed.
The lady in gardening section was very rude and spoke to me like i was some sort of scum bag and when i asked her for her name she called the manager and said i was invading her space although i was only 15 ft away the manager was pleasent atleast!
This is a great store with a wide variety of products. I have been able to find several materials to complete the renovations on my new home. The outside furniture is a great inspiration for people who are not sure of what to do with their backyard. I bought a table for my living room here and I loved it. My issue with the table is that the assembly wasnt as easy as expected and people that worked here were not as helpful when loading the table into the car. We indeed needed extra hands as the the table is pretty heavy. The people that work here are for the most part helpful and nice. I have been able to buy products for my art projects when I was in high school and now that Im in college. For the most part prices are good and the gardening part is pretty good too, but unfortunately I was not able to find a fruit tree that I was looking for and the worker was not able to recognize either which tree I was even talking about. Besides that their gardening section has some great options like strawberry trees, raspberry trees and little plants that can make a lovely addition to your home. I was able to find a mint plant in here without worrying of it having a plague. Unfortunately in other stores their plants are not well taken care of, so I was glad to see that their plants and trees are well taken care of and I did not have to worry about my tree dying in a couple of weeks or the tree transmitting the plague to my other trees and plants.
Horrible.No one would help us find the pine colored siding we were looking for. The guy at the counter said the computer showed there were over 30 pieces somewhere but didnt know exactly where. He sent my wife and I out into a boiling hot warehouse where some guy on a forklift waved us in a general direction where miscellaneous pieces were piled haphazardly all over and wouldnt even get off the damn forklift to help us look for what we wanted.Worst customer service experience in years. Probably never going back as there is a Lowes right across the street. Ill be giving my money to them instead.
