I went in looking for a specific vehicle. I had my pre-approval in hand and was ready to get in and out. I was met at the door with enthusiasm and willingness to help. I wanted to wait until I had more experience with the dealership before I posted a review. I have now had my car for six months and have had interactions with my salesperson, Kerry Berry, and the service manager, Brent Many. As a salesperson, Kerry absolutely went above and beyond to help me get the exact car that I wanted, and she made the whole process as easy as possible for me. When it was time for both the regular service work and some warranty work I needed done, Brent made the sure everything went smoothly. Done bought a car, gangEdit: Owner replied Matthew, we would like to learn how we could have made your experience 5-star.1) There wasnt an owners manual in my CPO Impreza.2) The fact that I needed comprehensive coverage to finance didnt come up until my agency was closed.3) I was pushed to sign all the financial paperwork for a car I wouldnt be able to drive off the lot. When I said I would prefer to come back Monday and sign when I could leave with my car, finance officer Joe loudly inquired then what are we even doing here?4) The pricing paradigm was centered entirely around monthly payment instead of total cost. When I declined all the extras, Joe came back with paperwork for a 48 month loan instead of the 36 I asked for. Interestingly, the total cost had not actually changed.My experience could have been made five star by the above not happening.Earned two stars above minimum because the car isnt bad.

We only went in to participate in the TerraCycle recycling program. They have little collection bins for stuff that isnt normal recyclable in the city recycling. Despite us making it clear that we werent even interested in looking at a car at the time, the staff still took their time to guide us and offered to help carry stuff in. We felt like valued customers despite actually costing them money for the recycling!Stay great Subaru of Baton Rouge team!

Relatives try to buy used car and I feel they got the runaround. If you cant make a deal, say so instead of someone wasting most of a day. Initial salesperson was not to blame. Was informed the problem was not with dealership but with the bank. The salesperson tried her very best and being ex-military I know how the system can sometimes get in the way. My wife and I were prepared for high pressure and fast-talking salesmen when we went to buy a car, but that was not the case with Subaru of Baton Rouge. After visiting another brand’s dealership, we decided to go with Subaru’s safety and reliability standards. We went to Subaru of Baton Rouge just before noon on a Friday. We headed straight to the cars and soon Mariah came out to help us. She got the keys and we were looking over the car in no time. Mariah was knowledgeable. We only looked at one vehicle, which was the one we had looked at many times online. After copying my drivers license and a visit from the manager, Josh, we were in the car and on the test drive route, which included a stretch of “normal” Baton Rouge road, which allows you to feel the suspension work and about a mile of Airline Highway allowing you to test power and acceleration. Mariah was able to answer all questions about the features of the vehicle. She never came across as pushy to sell a car. After we returned, we told her we were ready to talk numbers, so we went to her desk, located in a corner of the showroom. Here is my one dislike about the dealership. The sales desks are not partitioned off from one another and while we were working with Mariah, another couple was seated a few feet away at another desk. I could hear every word said between them and the sales rep. Personal information could be heard by both parties; there needs to be some privacy. After we provided basic information, Mariah got Will who appraised our trade-in and come up with a final price. Our trade-in came back less than expected and, so, the payment was higher than expected. I was ready to look elsewhere and said so, but Will asked what he could do to earn our business. I told him to lower the payment to a certain figure. He said that he would see what he could do. His second offer was not quite what I had asked for but it was close enough to say we had a deal. Will immediately got to work drafting papers while Mariah explained some of the optional services available, such as Sirius XM and a StarLink upgrade offer, which we purchased for an introductory price. We never felt pressured to buy anything. The finance guy, Joe, came over to tell us that he was almost finished with his current customers and that he would be with us shortly. A few minutes later, he came to get us, it was time to sign papers. While we signed papers, Mariah took our new car to be cleaned and prepped. Joe described the various extended warranties and other coverage of which there were several packages to choose from, the cost of which would be rolled into our financing if we decided to purchase any of them. After going through all the choices, Joe provided us with a new payment that included varying coverage packages. We did not like the figure, so Joe got back on his computer and came up with a new and lower payment for all coverages. We liked the figure and opted in for all extra coverages. Signing papers took only a few minutes and before we knew it, the process was over, and the car was ours to drive home that same day. We were not expecting that either. Back in the day, it would be a day or so between the time you signed papers on a car and when you picked it up. At Subaru of Baton Rouge, the entire process from the time we stepped on the lot until the time we drove off in our new car took about four hours, but it did not feel like it. Everyone was friendly as could be and did not come across as fake. Pride in their brand was evident in all of them. Subaru of Baton Rouge made buying a new car enjoyable. We feel good about the car, the price we paid, the people we dealt with, and the coverage. We recommend them for anyone looking for one of the safest, most reliable, and stylish vehicles on the market at a good price. Our 2021 Ascent looks great in our driveway, where it has rarely been since we bought it. We are proud to own it.

The car buying experience can be very daunting, so i enlisted some help and we expanded our research across the southern region. I narrowed it down to two different locations with the same vehicle, and we decided to go look at our local dealership. KJ was very easy going and laid back, he wasnt pushy at all. Other places have definitely treated me differently being a female trying to buy a car, even having been talked down to about electrical components or told the back up camera would help because you know how women drive... Not here at Subaru -- KJ showed me different features and he conversed with me rather than hard-sold me the vehicle. BR Subaru was able to match the offer were given at another location, and when we went over to financing, I feel as though I was given enough time to decide which plan, if any, I was going to choose. Also, dang, the financing offer was great. My trade in was a 13 year old vehicle, and I feel as though I was given a fair enough value for it. While I believe it could have been more, I do know it needs a lot of work, so i am not complaining about it.I was given a lot of information and a tutorial on the car before driving it off the lot. I also will be contacted soon for a follow up session to go over any questions I may have as I get to know the vehicle. Of course, I am still learning the car as there are so many more things to know than there were many years ago, but I know I have helpful and knowledgeable people a phone call away.i recommend you do your research and always drop in for a visit to Subaru Baton Rouge. Subaru of Baton Rouge was a great place to buy my 2017 Ram 1500. I dealt with Andrew while I was away for training for about 2 weeks prior to coming back to Florida who was a pleasure to work with, making agreements on the pricing of the truck a fun process. My wife and I drove 4 hours from Pensacola, Fl to come to Baton Rouge, and brought our pups with us. We were welcomed with open arms at the dealership, and were even allowed to take our pups on the final test drive of the truck that I had picked out. Evan immediately got us (and our pups) water, and showed nothing but hospitality during our time there. Every request that we had was met, and the dealership even voluntarily filled up the gas tank on the truck (which has not always been done when I purchase a vehicle from other dealerships). Evan was helpful and humble through the buying process. If he didnt know an answer, he found it and came back to us. Andrew and I had a slight misunderstanding, which was completely my fault, and he remained professional and courteous until I figured out that I misspoke during our negotiations. Andrew and Evan also gave us a doggie bag to send us on our way. The whole time we were there, we felt nothing but welcome. Knowing what I know now, I would certainly buy from Subaru of Baton Rouge again.
We had multiple reviews of Subaru as a company and their high ratings of customer satisfaction got our attention. We stopped by to test drive an Outback and my wife loved the vehicle. The salesperson Kerry was very well informed about the safety and features of the car, I would rate her a 5 star performer and would definitely use her to purchase another car. The financial guy Joe was the same, explained everything well, 5 stars.The downside of the experience was the sales manager Ben, who never introduced himself to us on any of our 3 visits, and wanted to give us $3500 trade-in on our 2012 Terrain, which Blue Book rated near 7,000. We refused of course and I sold the Terrain 2 days later for $7,500. The fact that Ben never bothered to meet us, low-balled the trade-in, I would rate his part as 1 Star.However, if you want a great experience with a car salesperson I would highly recommend Kerry. The overall dealership was very good, courteous and polite with the one noted exception. We love the Outback as well.
Last fall 2019, I stopped by Subaru of BR just to see what an Ascent looked like inside. I had no intention of buying then. A salesperson saw me looking in an Ascent and asked if she could help. I explained I was not ready to buy but wanted to see what he onside of the car for future reference. The lady could not have been nicer. She let me in the car and answered my questions- very patiently. As I was leaving I asked her name. She said Kerry. Kerry Berry. No joke.Last week on June 17, I went back to the dealer to ask for a test ride in an Ascent. Now understand, I have driven Jeep Grand Cherokees for the last 15+ years and liked them. When I arrived, guess who was assigned to me - Kerry. We took a test drive in a Ascent Limited and liked it, but I was interested in a Touring. Kerry explained he differences in the two, including the more attractive price of the Limited. The only feature on the Touring that I was interested in were ventilated seats. The didn’t think that was enough difference to buy a Touring, if one was ever available (2020 virus - plants shut down). Please s they had a Limited right off the truck that still had plastic all over it.Long story short, I bought it right then. The purchase process was somewhat drawn out, but took less than 2 hours from decision to driving away. I thought all the staff were friendly and professional.Ms. Berry was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly, but never, ever pushy. I will always ask for her assistance In the future.

Can I give 10 stars?!? I mean, wow, what a great experience! I went in with a friend to get a new Subaru and since he doesnt leave reviews I felt I just had to. From the moment we arrived we were met with a smile from Mariah and she worked at our pace to find the right car and explained everything that we needed to hear. She didnt do like some other dealerships and talk about all the junk that no one cares about. She catered to his needs and answered all of our questions. The manager Ben was super nice and pleasant to work with. KJ took care of the paperwork and he was very knowledgeable and a joy to be around. No pressure at all, or at least it didnt seem that way because we felt they actually had our best interest in mind. Everyone in there was smiling and laughing and at no time did it feel like a typical dealership. They introduced us to the service staff and they seem to be very nice as well. If you dont buy your next car here shame on you. Good people deserve to be praised and the entire staff there definitely deserves praise!

They get one star because it is the lowest available. I attempted to assist a client in buying a vehicle. She of course wanted the best price.I dealt with a very nice and competent sales lady at this dealership and very clearly stated I wanted their best price and whoever er was lowest is where the vehicle would be purchased. Real Simple. But as is the practice in many dealerships that do not realize that we are in the 21st century the manager then called whereupon he disparaged another dealership I called suggesting they were not legit. The bottom line price I received from this dealership was nearly $700.00 more than the price set by another dealer. When I called back the young lady who was assisting with the sale I again got a call from shortly a male sales manager trying to deal. This is so old school and suggests they have no idea that no one is fooled by this bring the male manager in to close the deal. Just demeaning.My friend got the exact same vehicle for much less at Giles Subaru in Lafayette and then they drove it to her in St. Tammany Parish. Giles I would give 5 stars.
Excellent customer care! My tire popped on I-12 as I was driving through from Alabama to Texas. After getting the spare on, I called hoping they had time to either patch my tire or replace it with new. They immediately took care of my tire, patched it, and had me on the road within the hour. I made it home safely!Thank yall so much. Its been a really difficult summer and I know I probably looked and sounded like a hot mess. This was hands down the best and easiest car buying experience that we have ever had! In an effort to limit exposure, we started the process through email and phone calls. All the staff we spoke with were fantastic in helping us get the information we needed and we were even able to complete the finance application online before ever setting foot in the dealership. Mariah was then absolutely wonderful on the day we went in to make our purchase, as were all the other gentlemen we spoke with during our visit. Well definitely be starting here when we need a second vehicle in the coming months!

I called my sales rep, Clark, and presented a deal. He worked with his finance manager and we made a deal on a car that I love. Everything went so well. I wish there were 0 stars because that is what is deserved.. I scheduled a visit to order a car 3 weeks in advance because of my schedule doesnt allow me much time. I arrived to look at a car like the one I was going to order but not automatic. The salesperson knew nothing about the vehicle, every question I asked was a I dont Know or Ill check these were basic questions not detailed.I sat down with my daughter and told them what options we wanted on the new car and went home to await a quote. The quote never came and the salesperson never responded to my emails or phone calls. Finally a manager called me back after a week and said I should have called him if the sales person wouldnt return my call. I explained that I had called him multiple times and he did not respond either.They aggravated me to death with emails in the weeks prior to my visit to the dealership. I had been working outdoors on the day I visited and and I guess I looked poor and I honestly think they decided that I couldnt afford the car and just dismissed me as a customer, that isnt and wasnt a true assumption on their part.Theres no other explanation in my mind that makes sense.
One of our all-time BEST car buying experiences! We traveled from out of state to purchase a pre-owned Subaru on their lot. Our salesperson, Ethan, reached out to us after placing a request on their site. He was polite, professional, and showed true interest in meeting our needs. Their finance manager, Jesse White, contacted us to start the paperwork process to expedite the process once we showed up in person. They were straightforward and easy to work with, and the trade-in process was reasonable. I finally pulled the trigger and got the car I’ve been drooling over since it was first announced. Borderline offensive in communication. Filled out financing application after making a reasonable offer and then never heard a word back. I feel like I have to now take measures to protect my identity and personal and financial information. Very strange and off-putting experience.

We cannot recommend Subaru of Baton Rouge highly enough! Our salesman Clark was AMAZING!! He knew so much about the cars and was able to explain it in a way that both my husband (a car junkie) and me (who just wants something pretty and safe) were able to get our questions answered. Everyone was so helpful including the managers! There was no crazy pressure to buy. They just wanted to help us find which car was the best for our family and price range! We have never left a car dealership so happy and satisfied with the service and quality! We are so happy with our decision to join the Subaru fam!

This dealership was a breath of fresh air! I worked with Kerry Beary at the dealership, who has an incredible knowledge of the selection of vehicles on the lot. She was so easy to work with, and I enjoyed how much she knew about the cars. Ultimately, I purchased a different brand, but working with the Suburu guys was fun. They exerted zero pressure, really listened to my needs, and took the time to work with me personally to ensure that I was happy, even if that meant going with a different brand. Who does that! So, if you are in the market for a Suburu, please stay local. You just will not regret it!
