Pete Overmann was friendly, informative, helpful, and wonderful with making our experience seamless! He entertained our two-year-old at times when needed and allowed us to make decisions on our new car without pressure or being sales-y. Not to mention, they really do try to manage expectations but exceed them if at all possible. The best and will recommend to those looking to buy a new car for sure! Plus- I LOVE MY NEW ATLAS!

In 2018 I tried to buy a car from these guys but they jerked me around for months. Finally I gave up on them and went somewhere else. Recently I tried to give them my business again and ordered a couple of parts to be replaced under warranty. There was about a month waiting time but that was fine, I understand. I spoke with two different people at their office about the work that needed to be done so there would not be any problems. When I went into drop off my car for the service they did not have the parts ordered so the whole thing was a huge waste of time. Unfortunately it will be easier for me to order the parts online and install them myself. I guess thats a good way for VW to get out of any warranty work.
I bought a Tiguan back in December. I do love my car but unfortunately have had nothing but bad experiences. I’ve been to the service time 7 times since purchasing my car. I recently picked my car up from yet another repair and within hours my check oil light came on for the 3rd time. I tried calling the manager to get an understanding why my new car needs to be serviced once a month and he never called me back. I have never once left a negative google review before and I hope that goes to say, I’m not keyboard happy trying to ruin a business but this is insane and I hope someone reads this and decides to go elsewhere for a new car.
Got a notification that my car being serviced was parked at Home Depot with the windows open. (2nd service for the same issue they were not able to resolve).I called the service team who assured me that no one was joy riding in my car. The car was gone for over 30 min, for a trip that take 10 min tops. The image shows the car parked in the pickup area for groceries. I asked them why this would happen and they tried to say it is for diagnostics only.I am very particular about my car. I don’t park it near other cars. It stays garaged. I love my car. I do not enjoy the dealership and how they treat customers and their property.When I demanded car back they had to explain how I was mistaken and they would never do that.I am now getting my 2020 car serviced at a 3rd party. I was given a car with no coolant in it as an attempt to ruin my vehicle.The car is being serviced thoroughly and I have filed formal complaints with bbb and VW.I am also waiting for footage from home depot.
Check this place out if you’re trying to get gaslighted and bait-and-switched! I took time off work and drove 5 hours to get here only to discover their price had mysteriously gone up because of some ‘misunderstanding.’ Pretty pathetic to watch them scramble for a few hundred bucks, but that’s what your time and business is worth here. Don’t waste your time with these clowns.
We leased a 2019 vw Atlas 4motion r line From Russ little. Russ was very open to showing us many vehicles but we were able to find our vehicle on the first shot. Russ had great knowledge of his line up and his low pressure sales technique was awesome. He was up for negotiations and making sure that the deal could be made before the new year. Russ followed up with our trade-in, plates and just was on top of everything. communication with wonderful I highly recommend seeing Russ little if you need to buy a car
Easy experience - mostly done via text. Got great service from Chase Duke - a real pro. Got a good deal on a sweet vehicle and thats all you want. And I normally loathe the dealership experience but these guys made it easy!

Have attempted to get ahold of someone to get a copy of the title of my car and financial records. Leave messages and no calls returned. The woman in reception gives you the wrong advice. Talked to guy in finance who supposedly emailed financial records over but nothing sent. Who knows where they could be. Cannot reach anyone of authority.
Very friendly and helpful. They called and told me my issues and told me how long it will take. Until work is complete I will not make any more comments.
I purchased a car for my soon to be 16 year old from Greg and he made the process so easy - I went in for a test drive on my lunch break and we had the purchase completed within an hour. Dean Team VW was great getting the A/C on our Atlas back up and running. Even when their machine was down, once they got it up and running they squeezed us back in the next day to get it taken care of and had us in a loaner car which was extremely helpful. Paul Fix, our service advisor, was helpful, communicative and a pleasure to work with. The service director, Eric Harrelson, was great as well. After a bad experience at another dealership, this was a breath of fresh air and we will definitely be servicing out Atlas here on out.

My 2020 Atlas had multiple faults going off, parking brake, engine light, window going down, and door locking...I drive it to dealership and they have no idea when they can check it out as all the guys are at lunch, but you can wait. They have an entire lot of cars yet and No we dont have loners. Ridiculous.
Dean Team VW in Balwin was able to correct a mistake I made with Bommarito VW in Hazelwood. I have been a repeat cust for more than 20 yrs and Bommarito refused to cancel our deal. The Dean Team has excellent cust service 👏 👌 and worked with me until I was satisfied.
On Saturday I purchased a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport at this location with the help of Ed Gerardo. I was very pleased with the purchase of our VW Jetta R-Line from Richard Gotsch at Dean Team VW, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Richard or Dean VW to friends and family.We found the Jetta R-Line (or very similar SE) to be an incredible car for the money. It feels like I am in a $50k Audi. And with Dean’s aggressive discounts, it was a real bargain for what you get when compared to other cars.Richard treated us like he was there to help us buy the right car for our needs, and not to “sell us a car”. It’s an important distinction to me. He took the time to understand what was important to us and offered information and suggestions. There was never any pressure for a more expensive model or options – he just gave us the information to help us make the decision. A true professional sales experience.I will also make a comment about the “Dean Team.” When we arrived to take delivery of the car, Richard was busy with another customer so one of the other salespeople walked us through all the features of our car while we were waiting for Richard. I am always sold by good service and friendly treatment. When I walked in the door looking for a new WRX Andrew proceeded to show me exactly what I was looking for. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and answered any questions I had. He treated me like an adult and didnt blow me off because of my age (which most dealers seem to do) which I greatly appreciated. Extremely down to earth and friendly. I never even considered another dealer after the first time in Dean Team!
Parts and service are a joke! Got the parts for a 60000 mile service, was asked for the vin number and got the wrong oil filter! Set up service for my hvac system, have a 9 oclock appointment, get a txt that my car will not be looked at till tomorrow because 2 technicians are out! I could understand if you could not look at it till the afternoon but a whole day later!!! Unacceptable!!! Never going here again!!! Will drive farther for better service and the correct parts!!!

A really great buying experience! We made a couple visits during this process, and each time was welcomed with friendly and helpful staff. Ultimately Kyle was the salesperson we worked with, and he was patient and friendly and eager to help us figure out the best fit for us. The whole team from internet sales and management and finance helped to inform our decision without ever pressuring. Genuinely seemed more interested in what we wanted not what they wanted us to buy. If I were to work at a dealership, Id want to work here.

EXCEPTIONAL VW SERVICE EXPERIENCE!My daughter’s 2011 VW Jetta with over 130K miles was having problems. It should be noted that the car was purchased in 2015, with 39K miles, as a Certified Pre-Owned and has been an excellent car for almost six years. I contacted Dean Team VW Ballwin to schedule a computer diagnosis. My daughter was hoping to have the work done the same day (Friday) but when we brought the car in, we were informed by Scott Sack, a service team member, that due to volume the work would not be performed until the following Monday. Scott immediately offered my daughter a loaner car for the weekend at no additional cost. My experiences with the Dean Team VW Ballwin have always been open and honest, service level exceptional and prices fair. In 2018 they fixed an incorrect oil filter installed by another “reliable” service center that, given more time, would have ruined the engine. European cars require service technicians with brand-specific skills and equipment to diagnose and repair problems quickly and cost-effectively. As a business owner myself, excellent service is the key to long-term happy customers. This is why I highly recommend the service team at Dean Team VW Ballwin. I 10/10 recommend going to Dean Team Volkswagen of Ballwin! My mom and I have been working very closely with Joe Wicks for the past week or so! Such a selfless and friendly man! We went in last Saturday just for some general questions, and I ended up test driving a 2021 Atlas! I absolutely loved it, but financially it was not the best option for me. Joe Wicks sat down with my mom and I and searched for cars within my price range! SUVs and Sedans! He took the time to explain so many different things that I had absolutely NO idea about when financing a vehicle. This brings me to another point. I called to purchase Transfer Case Fluid for my VW Touareg. Steve took a look and told me that I will have to purchase the entire case since he doesnt want to sit on it for the whole year. When I asked to confirm the part number so I can order a bottle from the VW website he hanged up on me with the words Im not dealing with part numbers, thank youI called back to ask for a manager, but Steve answered that he is not present, and when I asked Steves last name, in case there are multiple people with the same name at this location, he replied this is not my business.I have other dealerships near my house, but continue driving to the Ballwin location because I like people who work in the service department. They always professional and knowledgeable, but this kind of attitude from other associates forces me to select another option.

I called Dean Team Volkswagen wanting to know if I could get into a new car before my lease on my current car was up. That is when I spoke to Jim Happe and he told me that he could put me in the a new car for the same price as what I was paying for my current car. So I decided to meet with him on Friday November 13th 2020. Upon meeting with him he was able to get me in one of the top of the line Volkswagen cars called an Jetta SEL which is the car that I have always dreamed about owning. I was really impressed with Jim and his level of professionalism in understanding my needs. Jim provided excellent customer service to ensure I got the perfect car at the best price. The entire process which included both sales and finance was incredibly easy and efficient. I highly recommend working with Jim and the entire Dead Team.
This is the fifth car I’ve purchased new and was by far the easiest and most enjoyable experience so far. The Dean team Ballwin dealership is beautiful. It’s quiet and the people there all look and act professional. Our sales consultant was Richard Gotsch. He listened closely, understood exactly what we wanted and was able to show us a car that met our requirements (and I had several.) He was pleasant to talk to (even fun.) What’s even better is that the whole experience lasted a total of 1.5 hours from talking, to test drive, to walking the lot to find the perfect car. We secured a deal on a Saturday night and I was able to pick up my car, sign my financing papers and walk through all of my new features over lunch on Monday. Jason in finance had all my papers printed and ready to sign. It was the best experience ever. I highly recommend visiting Richard if you need a new car. I love my car! I got an Atlas and it’s an amazing piece of technology for the price.

I had been doing my research on the Ascent for the better part of 2 months. With the lease on my 16 Forester coming to an end, and having been at every Subaru dealership in STL, i found Dean Team on Manchester Rd and met Christopher Smith. What an outstanding experience I had. Christopher and the sales team were very knowledgeable and accommodating as i explored my lease-end options, and communicated with me almost entirely via text at my request. Christopher was very transparent when we spoke numbers, i never once felt like i would be surprised by hidden fees. After a good deal of bargaining he got me into a blue 2019 Ascent touring at the monthly price that worked for me. Then i met both Carl and Dustin with the finance team. Again i expected to be sold on services i didnt need, or told about fees that were not transparent to me. That was not at all the case - these guys were clear, concise, honest, and transparent throughout the entire experience. I would definitely recommend Dean Team Subaru to car buyers that know their stuff and want to be treated fairly, and with honestly and respect. I can also say for sure, i will be buying/leasing my next vehicle with Dean Team.
I cannot recommend the Dean Team Subaru Volkswagen dealership enough. This was, by far, the easiest and fastest car buying experience Ive ever had. My family has now bought four cars from Tony over the years. Each time he has been so helpful and great to work with that we keep coming back. In the effort of trying to be independent, I also scouted out the other two Subaru dealerships in St. Louis. After a single visit to each of them, I realized that Dean Team Subaru is the best Subaru dealership in St. Louis. It has the best selection, and Tony is friendlier and more knowledgeable than any of the staff I talked to at the other dealerships. Working with Tony is great because he if friendly, welcoming, and so very knowledgeable about the cars. He is happy to help you figure out what car is right for you and work with you to get you that car. One day, Tony was out sick, and John stepped up and was a great help answering any questions I had and working hard to make sure I got the information I asked for. The employees here are great and they make the experience of buying a car here very easy.

I love my Subaru but the young man that works the parts department at Dean team makes me wish I didn’t have one. Not only is he not Knowledgeable whatsoever about Subaru engines he talks to you like a disrespectful 10 year old and gets mad at you when he orders the wrong part. I feel sorry for anybody who has to deal with him I’ll be driving out of my way to avoid the Dean team parts department.
I previously drove a Subaru Outback but was looking for something with a third row. I test drove an Ascent with Pete, but the payments were really more than I was comfortable with. I feel like Pete went out of his way, including some really creative thinking on a follow up phone call, to make this deal work for me. He was trustworthy and respectful for the entire transaction. And he made it work - I have a payment I can live with that I know is a great deal. Ive had the Ascent for a week and am so pleased to be driving it!

At the beginning of our new vehicle search, we walked into the Subaru showroom with the intention of test driving a Subaru Outback. We had several other dealerships of other cars that we planned to test drive. Michelle escorted us on our test drive, answered all our questions, pointed out and explained all the features that were on the car. We were particularly interested in the safety features. After driving down a main thoroughfare, she had me turn into a church parking lot where we got out of the car and she pointed out engine details, lift gate and trunk features, among other things. When we returned to the car she had me drive in a circle to see how tight the turns could be and explained how the engine was installed as an additional safety feature. Before we left the dealership, we had pretty much decided the Outback was our next new car. We just wanted to go home and talk it over. Now we are the happy owners of our first Outback.
We had stopped by a couple of months prior to get some information on the various models, and were impressed with the Sales Representative (Andrew). So, we popped in last week for a first hand look at the Woodland Green with the Java interior, while we were in the area, with no intention of buying that day. That combination, and Johns easy going, no pressure support, was all that it took to make up our minds. That and a Price which we had not expected. Buying a new vehicle can be stressful, but John made it painless. He patiently educated us and made the process simple. A very pleasant change from the routine typically experienced at other dealers. Ask for John! You will be glad that you did.

My husband and I came to the Dean Team Subaru, because we were considering buying a new 2014 Forester. I was trying to determine which vehicle would fit me better - a Subaru Forester or a Honda CR-V. After test driving a Forester at another dealership, I was fairly convinced it was going to be the right choice for me. We came to Dean Team in order to see what they had in stock. When we arrived, they had the exact vehicle I was hoping to buy. James came right over to help us. He explained the symmetrical all-wheel drive and showed us a video about it, further convincing us of the quality of Subaru. It took us some time to negotiate, but he and sales manager, Matt, were willing to meet us at a price we could afford. I actually called around to a couple of other Subaru dealerships, but they were unable to negotiate with us on the terms we wanted. After talking with the other dealerships, I realized just how much the Dean Team is willing to work with their customers. I got the vehicle I wanted at a decent price, with all of the exciting options the Forester Premium has to offer. James put in a lot of time and effort to help us and even stayed late after we purchased the car to make sure we understood how to use everything. Dustin helped us with finance and got us an even lower interest rate than what was initially quoted! Everyone was very friendly, professional, and flexible. We are so pleased we bought our new Forester from the Dean Team!

I didnt feel like he was pressuring me to make a decision, I also felt that he was very honest and straightforward. I got a good deal and Im very happy with my car!
I first met with Tony Wright in Spring of 2014 when I was considering purchasing a Subaru. I decided to delay my purchase, but Tony kept in contact with me throughout the next year. He was never pushy or bothersome but did a very good job of making sure his dealership remained on my radar screen so when I was ready I would purchase my car from them. His strategy paid off! When I pulled up in front of the building and got out of the car, Tony came out and greeted me by name. I couldnt believe he could remember me from almost 1 1/2 years earlier! He said he never forgets a face or a car. Tony knew from his previous dealings with me that I didnt care to waste time. We very quickly agreed on a price for the new car and my trade-in. Although they didnt have the car I wanted on the lot, Tony said it was no problem and that he would track one down from another dealer. In a week I was notified that my car was on the way and went to pick it up the following week. Tony is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and considerate of your time and money. Ive been to a couple Subaru dealerships in my area and Dean Team is by far the best. I had some routine maintenance scheduled along with a couple additional issues to be resolved. The scheduling process was extremely simple and the services were quick and professional. There was one remaining issue after the initial service that required an additional part. Subaru provided the part to Dean Team and after working, on different occasions, with Eric, Jeff, and Annie to get updates on the part and scheduling my appointment, they were able to resolve my issue at no additional cost to me within two weeks.
Took the Subaru in for an issue with placing the car in park and it not letting the key be pulled out when shutting it off. All covered. Also had a problem where occasionally I would turn the key to start it and nothing would happen. Turns out negative terminal cable was loose causing it to short out or something. That one was on me. I put the new battery in. Overall great experience. Thanks Dean Team.

I had a great experience purchasing a used car from Dean Team. I got a great car at a good value. The salesman, Carl, understood what I was looking for and took the time to show various options. On the first pass none of the options were quite right. Carl was very knowledgeable and provided me information that caused me to research further into the various options and how they differed among manufactures. This knowledge help me further narrow my search and option opened up and Carl helped me get a good deal. I will probably start my next car search at Dean Team.
I have a 2007 vw gti. I had AAMCO install a new transmission in my vehicle. I believe they didnt program the transmission right, so I contacted Dean Team in Ballwin to run a full diagnostic on my vehicle. I made the appointment week in advance told them the year, make, model, and the issues I was having with my vehicle. Dean Team accepted the appointment when I arrived the service manager said I decline to look at it its a old car and a ticking time bomb I dont feel like messing with it I almost went full Karen on the service department, but I called Dean Team in Kirkwood and told them whats going on they said the would be happy to check it out. I had to take off work to make the appointment in Ballwin if you didnt want to service my vehicle you should have declined the appointment. Thanks for wasting my time.

After going through countless dealers who treated me terribly at other dealerships, I finally landed on Chuck at Dean Team Subaru and he was such a blessing! Chuck made sure I had the best possible buying experience and I wish I could go back in time and start there. Chuck was patient and willing to talk me through all the details and questions I had. He truly treated me like I was one of his own family members, and made sure I left with a safe and reliable car that fit exactly what I wanted!The only reason I gave the overall dealership a 4 star was because I felt like the financing was really high APR for my credit score, but other than that I was very pleased! I would send everyone I know to Dean Team (and especially to Chuck!)!
This was the best car dealership I have ever dealt with. The salesman- John Ostlund, was courteous, respectful and very helpful. I never felt like he was pressuring us in any way and he gave excellent help with even the smallest of questions or details. From start to finish, our experience was superb and very pleasant. When you get maintenance service here, be cautious. They pretended to be nice to the customer but tried to rip you off asking unnecessary services because they know you dont know much about car maintenance. They recommended me to spend almost 3k for my 90k 2012 Tiguan, so I denied. I immediately visited fire stone in clayton to review their recommendations and they said nothing much needs to be done at this time. Ballwin VW shops did mention my brake pads in both front and rear left only 2-3k miles but fire stone said It can be last 1-2 more years. I fixed everything recommended from firestone for next 10k just spending less than 500 dollars including checking fee. Shame on you swindler!!! Classic car dealer shop experience.
I purchased my 2011 Subaru Forester there and always a pleasure to get my car serviced at this place. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. I had an issue with the engine and was replaced for free even after the car warranty was over. Very happy and satisfied customer. I would buy my next car there again, and recommend Dean Team to all my friends,and family to go there first.
This is the third vehicle I have purchased from the Dean Team.This was our last stop after a day of shopping for a truck with no luck. I suggested we stop in and just look around and see if they had any used trucks. We are both happy that we stopped. Wes met us out in the used parking lot and showed us a couple trucks they had in. He was very helpful. We never felt pressured to buy and felt he truly wanted to give us a good deal. We are very appreciative of his help and will recommend him to our friends and family.
Carl was quick to respond to my e-mail inquiry on the 2014 Pathfinder that they had on their lot. We arranged for my husband and I to test drive the vehicle at 5:30 and off we went. He was a great salesman and was very helpful without being pushy. We never once felt pressured to walk off the lot with a car which is very hard to come by! Everyone was very accommodating and made sure to check on us while we were waiting for financing. Speaking of financing, Dustin was extremely easy to talk to and made it enjoyable to go through the final paperwork. We walked off the lot with a new vehicle, left our trade in, and will come back again. Customer service was wonderful!

Jason reached out to me after I submitted an online application. He did most of the work for me and my husband before we got there and worked with us to get us the payment that fit our budget. There was no haggling about any work that needed to be done to the vehicle and hes been very accommodating to our busy schedules. Dustin was also very knowledgeable and got us through the paperwork on the loan while answering our questions. We love Subaru as a company and will definitely consider them for put next purchase.
I arrived early and the staff welcomed me in right away! Ryan Troll was personable, fun and friendly! He let me test drive the cars I wanted to and if I wasnt feeling it he led me in the direction more fit for me. Ryan went out of his way to assure me that we would find a car I was in love with AND was within my budget. I cant believe how easy the process was once I picked my BRAND NEW Jetta! I leased a car from the Dean Team 6 years from Wes. He was fantastic, helpful and did not pressure us. A few years later Wes left to work elsewhere. My wife and I were so disappointed. About a month ago I ran into Wes on the lot while getting my 6 year old Subaru serviced (which I had purchased after the lease was up.) I was elated that Wes was back. I told him I would be in the market for a new Subaru before the end of the summer. We talked and I sent him a list of my "must have" options and "would like" options. Wes found about 3 or 4 2012 vehicles around the country that matched what I was looking for. My wife and I came and sat down with Wes and in short order, received a fair price for our trade-in and purchased a new Subaru with everything we were wanted on it from across country. Wes took care of all the paper work and had the vehicle transported in for us. I highly recommend Wes to anyone in the market for a vehicle. Usually when buying a new car, the sales team will work with you. John made me feel that he was working for me. My interests were always his priority. I was blown away by Johns ability to make selecting the right model so simple and logical. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything I couldnt afford or didnt need. I bought all of the car I wanted and still walked away within my budget. I absolutely love my new Forester, and I credit much of my excitement to Dean Team for making the experience so incredibly comfortable.

Everyone I interacted with was friendly and genuine. Interactions involved in used car sales and purchasing experiences can often feel aggressive and insincere but that was not the case with Paul. Paul was helpful, informative, knowledgeable, and seemed to sincerely want to help me make the best decision to fit my needs.Paul went above and beyond to make sure I was making the most fiscally beneficial decision as well. My lease was ending and he informed me of a buyout option that could result in some extra cash in my pocket. Unfortunately, the buyout amount wouldnt have resulted in much of a return so we ultimately didnt go through with it but the fact that the idea was posed to me was much appreciated. Paul even called the lessor himself to help me explore the option.The administrative process was quick and painless as well.
