I bought a new Tucson Hybrid last month at this dealership, and even amid the chip shortage that’s played havoc on the market my experience was awesome. I was able to work with Ryan primarily over the phone and text, which is what I preferred to going into the store. He was friendly, clear, up-front, and responsive. The whole process was fair and not pressured at all, which was something else I really wanted in a dealer. By the time my car came in, my purchase was as smooth as could be. No surprises, and the paperwork took maybe a half hour to an hour. The car was clean and ready as I expected. The store was newer and clean and comfortable while I was there. Super happy to be a new Hyundai owner. I’ll probably get it serviced there and buy my next car at this dealership.
Bought my brand new Santa Cruz from here long distance after some online research. I liked the price this dealership advertised and took a leap of faith coordinating everything mainly over the phone without seeing or test driving the vehicle first. Frank was very helpful and kept me informed every step of the way including when I would receive paperwork to sign and when vehicle would be delivered. I’m aware this may be a process many salesmen and buyers aren’t familiar with but all ended well with Frank’s help.
I wouldnt recommend getting a car here. We looked at a car that had a horrible smell likely from the floorboards. The second car had stains on all seats. Did purchase that car but felt like it was a take it or leave it, because the car wasnt detailed. Painful typical car buying let me go check with the boss routine.Way too long of a wait, literally hours. No financing paid cash. Nonsense. Asked to sign a legal waiver which is tacky and strange.Wish we wouldve gone somewhere else or bought a car from an individual.Definitely not recommended...
Only leaving 2 stars because weve had our car serviced here and the people from the servicing part of the dealer were great. However, today my husband and I stopped by because we were looking for a new car. There was plenty of car salesmen not busy in the showroom, however no one greeted us as we came in. We had walked around the lot as well, and even ran into two car salesmen but they also did not ask if they could help. We kept looking around and waiting for someone to approach us but they all acted as if we werent there. We left and ended up buying a car at a Honda dealer instead, we love our other Hyundai car but the service (from the salesmen) here was horrible. At other dealers we visited we were greeted and asked how we could be helped right away.
The after-sale customer service is atrocious! My wife and I have been trying to reach our salesman and the business manager for well over a month to cancel an extended warranty, but they will not answer, call, or text back. I would encourage you to look elsewhere to purchase a vehicle.

I sent an online inquiry about a 2022 Genesis GV70 on Labor Day not knowing they were closed. I received an emailed response the following day from Torrey Iannazzo. Everything seemed very normal with our communication until it completely stopped for no reason. I asked Torrey if we could work out some preliminary numbers for their GV70 and my trade-in before I made the trip from Columbia. They low-balled my trade which was disappointing but I hung in there with communications and replied with a more reasonable set of numbers. I never heard back from him again. Nothing, zip.I cannot imagine executives at Genesis, who are building an excellent image and numerous vehicles would be happy knowing their front line workers are blowing off qualified customers who want to buy their $65k vehicles. Ive purchased 4 new vehicles since 2014 and this has been my worst experience or honestly, lack of experience. Spend your money where youre valued, not where youre ignored.9/21/21: In response to the dealerships reply to my initial review. On September 7th an email to Torrey was sent & it included all my contact info including cell phone, office phone & obviously email. Torrey did respond to it the same day. So this is not true. You did have my phone number. Also, the trade-in offer from your dealership was $34k & I responded back I wanted more like $39k. A difference of $5k so no idea where on earth this $14k difference is coming from, I have the emails to prove this too. This is just getting worse honestly, I clearly got lucky not buying here. Future customers need to document everything, this here is a prime example why!

They are also great about not doing things that arent warranted. I know that when I take my car in I am going to get exactly what my car needs. The guys in the service office are super friendly! Our experience with Dean Team Hyundai was awful! They lied to us before we bought a car that turned out to be a lemon! They were absolutely no help after the purchase and now we are trying to cancel a warranty they sold us and it has been 6 days of not being able to talk to someone! I hope you will do business elsewhere with a more honest company.
Ive 62 years old and have purchased a lot of vehicles over the years. Buying a Hyundai from the Dean Team and specifically Andy Miller was the single best purchase ever. Andy is very knowledgeable, very honest and has a great way about him. Hes interested in you the customer and really cares about providing what you want and making it a good experience. Absolutely not pushy like many car salesman and very easy to deal with. Absolutely recommend you ask for him. Youll be glad you did. PS - Love my Palisade so far. Great car.

I came in concerning a problem with the key fob not connecting properly with the brake sensor; resulting in the car not starting at times and leaving me stranded. several online videos (including on from another Hyundai dealer) say this is a known issue with Hyundai. however, Dean acted as if they had never heard of the issue and tried to blame weak batteries in the key fobs. yet, the car started every time with the current fob batteries. they did nothing to fix the problem.

I bought a car here the price was decent. They evaluated my car for a trade in and their offer was insultingly low. I sold it on facebook marketplace for more than 3 times what they offered with no effort.After you buy a car they will constantly spam you with emails claiming that maintenance is due trying to trick you into going in and paying for maintenance rather than getting the free maintenance provided with the car. I even called up the technicians twice and they say its the system nothing we can do. I have sent emails trying to get a response about this but have been ignored. I expected better.
Paul made this process so easy for me. As someone who has worked in this industry I know how much of a pain the car buying process is and Paul completely shattered that expectation. I’m so happy with my new car and for the diligence and effort that was put in to make sure it was right for me.

Jacob was a great salesman, but the car was very poorly detailed when delivered to me. Every window had horrible streaks, and there were several spots on the body that were simply not cleaned. Also having issued with the after owning it for 2 weeks and they claimed they wouldnt offer me a rental, free or paid, while the issues are being fixed. Again Jacob is great but the other departments are lackluster.
This is the first new car Ive bought in a long time. All my past experiences with dealerships and their service departments have been bad. I would still watch out for back room dealing when it comes to signing for that car but the sales person was very fair and honest with me. The service department has been friendly and helpful without trying to push unneeded services on me.
Love the car. Salesman was nice. Loan officer was rude when we told him we didnt want the extra warranty. Also did not apply our deposit to the purchase. I happened to see it on my credit card and checked paperwork. I called and it was suppose to be credited to our card, but still has not. I will have to call again.🤨

Ive bought 4 vehicles from Dean Team and would have rated them a 5+. Went back to buy a 5th car and being disappointed would be an understatement. I was lied to, pressured and pestered, then went to the manager who was rude and inconvenced because he only had 37 minutes before he could go home
I brought my car in for service. Once the job was complete someone backed into my car totaling it in their lot. All of this could have been avoided if I had been given an estimate. DO NOT USE DEAN TEAM TO SERVICE YOUR CAR! Regardless of whether or not they are legally liable or not, my car was under their care and I am left with nothing in part due to their terrible customer service.I told them my finances multiple times when they were trying to make right by offering a car. They made no offer and they continued to go back on we didnt know what your finances were.Also, they are treating the fact that they didnt charge me like the greatest thing a business could do. When you dont have a car after getting your vehicle, would you expect to pay anyone?
This review is specifically regarding the service department (Tim). I just bought my 2020 Tucson back in April 2020 from the Hyundai in Columbia. I had an issue on the highway and my car’s engine light began blinking and the car began slowing down. My car would only get up to about 20mph. I ended up having my car towed to the nearest dealership which happened to be Dean Team. From there my experience was anything but pleasant. I had called ahead to let them know my car was being towed there and they had said they will give me a call to get the story when my car arrives. Hours later I call back to get an update to find out that they hadn’t had a chance to check out my car yet. (No big deal I know they had to of been busy). I asked about getting a loaner car because I work night shift as an emergency room nurse and I had no way to get to work that night. They refused to accommodate me “until someone is able to see the car”. Which I understood until they said they wouldn’t be able to see my car until the next day. (It was still hours from closing time which gave them plenty of time to see that my car had an issue and just simply give me a loaner car to make my difficult career easier to get to).To make a long story short I bought a brand new car thinking I wouldn’t have any problems with it because my previous car had nothing but issues. I never blamed anyone for what happened because it’s not anyone’s fault but I would’ve expected people who work in customer service to help in anyway they can to make the process smoother. Tim from service was nothing but rude throughout the process. I will never be coming back and will make sure everyone I know never has to experience the frustration I went through at Dean Team. I ended up getting a rental car from Enterprise on the first day so I could get to work on time and Dean Team also refused to refund me for that.It’s the little things that help make your custumers feel like you care. I have never felt the need to leave a bad review on anyone in my entire life and I am usually very forgiving but this really pushed me and caused a huge roadblock in my life when it had such an easy fix to begin with. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way and I hope no one else has to experience this.
So I called asking a question about a refund for my car and the receptionist was extremely rude and condescending. She repeatedly told me she had no clue what I was talking about and didn’t make any effort to help me figure it out. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I hung up feeling belittled and insulted. However, once I was transferred to Tammy, she was the exact opposite. She was very helpful and kind. She helped me solve the problem and I enjoyed working with her.

Service waiting room smells like an AA meeting.This is during COVID - with a mask on bad. I’m telling you the cigarette smell is infused into the walls, chairs and carpets in this place. This is coming from someone who doesn’t typically mind the smell.Please know that this does not speak for the service, or the quality of the cars they sell. However, many people will find the dealership unpleasant to be in for more than a few minutes.
Even though all of our regular maintenance is managed by a auto care company closer to where we live, we returned to Dean Team Hyundai due to a recall notice (an ABS issue). It was easy to get an appointment, and they completed the recall repair in half the time they quoted. The shop and waiting area were even cleaner than I remember. The service staff were professional and courteous. Big thumbs up, Dean Team service.

Actually had one of the best car buying experiences I think Ive ever had. Jacob Adrian was our sales person, and he really made the difference! He went out of his way to make the deal work. From the time I met him through the entire purchase process, he was laid back and generally an enjoyable person to work with and was never pushy, which was great for a change! I actually had to ask him how long he had been in sales because it was so refreshing to work with someone like him and I didnt think people like him were actually in the industry!

Went there for a recall. There was no noise before going there, (drove 100 miles). After their recall service when they delivered the car, there was squeaky noise coming from my front side. After 10 days when I asked them, they told it was just coincident. Asking me 130 bucks just for diagnosis.

Service dept. handled my problem quickly and to my satisfaction. Job was done much faster than anticipated. I would recommend Dean Team service dept. to anyone who needs work done on their Hyundai. Their charge per hour may be a bit more than some, but they more than make up for it with the fast work. I makes sense to have people who know the cars inside and out do the work, instead of a shop not familiar with the car and taking a ton of time diagnosing the problem.

I stopped by this dealership after leaving another nearby. We hadnt planned on stopping here because we didnt look at any of their vehicles online and didnt even know it was there (not from the area). As we were looking around, a salesman named Tommy stopped us and we started chatting about what we were looking for. He said that they had some in stock so we went in to get details. As we sat there and discussed cars and their listed price, the one car we were truly interested in was overpriced as it sat. I asked how they were on coming down on prices and he said theyre pretty set since theyre already at their lowest prices, which I knew he was full of it. He then proceeded to pull up other cars that we werent even interested in. We gave him two color options - none of which were in either of those colors. The guy was pushy as hell. We finally got to a point where there really wasnt a car in stock that we wanted to look at, but he got my daughter to go ahead and LOOK at one. At this point I wasnt even going to take a test drive unless my daughter really liked it. Tommy went looking for the vehicle and after several minutes came back and said the service manager took it home for the night but he could have it there and ready to go the next day. I said no thanks and we really werent looking for that model. I thanked him for looking as we were already outside waiting and trying to walk away and he was determined to try to get us to look at another car we had no interest in - something Im sure he was just trying to get off the lot. I said no thanks and he responded well youre not gonna find a better car for a better deal. Hey Tommy... This is St Louis and theres tons of good vehicles for good prices. And thats what we did... Went and got a better vehicle in the color that we wanted for a price better than the car that we THOUGHT about. When you see the pushy used car salesmen in the movies or think of that type when you think used cars, Tommy fit the bill. As a Hyundai owner and probably a future Hyundai owner, Ill make sure I dont bother looking at Dean Team.

I wished they would have washed my car like all the emails I get say they do on service visits but maybe I needed to request that. It just would have been an exceptional experience if that would have happened.
The Sales rep Jacob Adrian was decent and amicable. Not pushy and answered all of my questions. I would definitely consult with him for buying a new vehicle in the future. So why the 3 star? The finance manager was aggressive and didnt want to take no for an answer. Im sure he was just doing his job and makes commission off the extended warranties. But I can get that elsewhere cheaper and without it making interest off the loan. Lastly, they lost the second key/fob and claimed theyll mail me a new one. Ill change the star rating if that happens. This was a brand new 2020 Kona. -Edit got the key replaced today 121719.

I recently purchased a new vehicle and had a wonderful experience. I worked primarily with Torrey Iannazzo, who was upfront and honest about what he was able to do or not (the car I was looking for was initially not available). After a TERRIBLE experience at another local Hyundai dealership, I was fortunate enough to connect with Torrey again when a similar car became available, and the entire process was straightforward. I also want to give kudos to Jake (sorry I never got your last name!), who stepped in and helped me when Torrey was not available. Both Torrey and Jake were quick to respond to my messages and everyone at the dealership was professional and polite.
I visited this dealership on 11/18/2020 to make a deal on a new vehicle with the intention to trade-in. I currently own a 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line w/ DCT and Tech package that was purchased new in April 2020. The car is still in perfect condition and has just under 10K miles. This is a current model vehicle that Hyundai sells with an MSRP over $29K. I went in to the deal with what I thought were realistic expectations, knowing that there is always a decent depreciation right away on new vehicles but I used every reputable web site to research what to expect for trade-in value. The sales manager offered $16,000 trade-in which was well below expectation and almost half of MSRP. Needless to say, I was taken aback. Perhaps Im being naïve but it doesnt seem like they have much faith in the value of the cars they are selling. Im not sure if this is specific to this dealership or if this is how Hyundai expects their vehicles to hold value. The salesperson was nice and they didnt waste a ton of my time so I give them credit for that but I dont see myself doing business with them in the future.UPDATE:Shortly after leaving this review I was contacted by a sales manager and after a short phone call he asked that I consider updating my review so heres the update: I want to clarify that I was not mistreated in any way and Im sure that plenty of people have had positive experiences at this dealership. I originally left a 3-star review because I viewed my experience at the dealership as slightly below average. Had the sales manager come out to see me while I was there and introduce himself and explain why his numbers were so drastically lower than what I expected rather than treat the salesperson as a messenger, I would have had a better experience. Had the sales manager been more forthcoming and just told me that they werent interested in buying and selling my car on the lot, I would have understood and accepted that. Instead, I get a follow up phone call from him trying to convince me that his offer was so low because my car is worth less than $20K, contrary to every piece of evidence. For one, hes telling me that the $30K Hyundai they sell loses 1/3 of its value in 6 months, an insult to the brand, and two, he cites competition in the marketplace to which there is almost none. I did my due-diligence, and at the time of writing there are 2 used Hyundais that match mine listed within a 500-mile radius, one of which is listed at $22K and the other (an exact match with slightly higher miles) as a CPO at Hyundai dealership for $23K. I have updated my original rating to reflect the follow-up phone call.

We purchased a brand new 2020 Hyundai Palisade last month from Dean Team West County Hyundai after my vehicle was totaled from an accident. Sales rep Jamel was awesome. We called and made an appt to test drive one, and upon arrival he had one ready and running for us to hop right in. He gave us his undivided attention. He was professional and personable. Highly recommend seeing Jamel. We purchased it that day. We hit a snag in the title dept because we are military temporarily stationed in Missouri with Florida residency. There was some confusion with the registering, titling, and some tax exemptions. We totally understood that its not a typical scenario for them, but after a handful of phone calls back and forth explaining our situation they contacted the Florida dmv and got everything straightened out in the end. We now have our tags thanks to Terri in the title dept and the Dean Team.
Went to Dean Team Hyundai to purchase a Tucson Ultimate. Jamal did a great job “selling” the car. Ready to purchase, Jamal did the paperwork for financing. After nearly 2 hours sitting at a little wooden table in the middle of the showroom, I still had not even met or seen the finance guy. Rather than coming out to meet me or bring me to an office to discuss financing options, Richard, would send Jamal back and forth with his messages never including the interest rate and instead bringing papers that had what seemed like very random numbers and monthly payments. Richard, who may not be a living person, reminded me of the banker on Deal or No Deal.. never saw him. There were never apples to apples to compare and when questioned they were adding additional years of the warranty but not disclosing that. I strongly believe they were trying to trick me so that they could make the most money. My dad passed 20 years ago, but I remember as a 20something going with him to Dean Team to purchase a car. A vivid memory is of us walking out and my dad saying that we would never buy a car there...ever. He’d be proud of me walking out of there today. I ended up next door purchasing a car the same day for about $8000 less!
Terrible communication.They were difficult to communicate with every step of the way. I had to call multiple times/days just to get someone to call me back.You would think they would want you to purchase a vehicle from them.Ended up having to request a manager after they sent my title to the wrong address and then didnt remail it to me.
Love this place! Andy (sales) and Scott (finance) were so helpful. They explained everything and answered questions helping me choose the best vehicle, finance and warranty options. I am SO excited to be the owner of a Hyundai Tuscon Limited! Amazing features!

Don’t buy here. The moment you sign there will be a drastic reduction in the customer service. I got my car dirty. It had scratches from an accident which did not appear on the carfax. They were supposed to buff it for me. I dropped it off on a Thursday and was supposed to pick it up by Tuesday. A week later they still hasn’t done it. They called me to say it was done. They never did it and just said they did. Shady is the word that comes to mind. And they won’t return your calls.
Andy Miller is simply the best. He bent over backwards to care of me and made the entire process incredibly easy and painless to say the least!
