Been a customer for years. Lately the service has been slipping. Obvious service mistakes being made. Came in the other day and they not only misdiagnosed the issue they over quoted me and they included a $20 bike cleaning fee after quoting a full tuneup. And the brake pads didn’t need replacement. Seriously? Bring back the old service!!!!

This is the worst bike shop I’ve ever experienced. They are extremely bad at communicating and they didn’t take any responsibility for their mistakes and passed the labor cost on to the customer. I do not recommend this place and will tell my friends to take their business elsewhere.

So helpful and knowledgeable of bikes. I went as a walk in and was greeted as we walked threw the doors. I took a bike that was given to me in to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately it was going to cost more than the bike was worth so I didnt bother having it repaured. I did purchase a couple of items for a furture bike purchase.

EPP was recommended to me by a roommate when I first moved to Austin. This was 2010. They were dismissive, condescending, too cool for school and totally ripped me off for a new chain and repairs. Didn’t communicate the costs and two different people told me two different prices. My first experience with boho Austin elites. Reading the current comments shows nothing has changed.

I’ve taken my bike to 2 other places in town and they were unable to fix my slipping gears. The staff here looked at my bike and knew exactly what to fix, even before I told them what problems I was experiencing. They told me there would be a bit of a wait (3 weeks) to get my bike fixed and back to me. It was well worth the wait! I’ve had several tune ups over the years, but this place made my bike ride like new. They are reasonably priced and do meticulous work. I’ve recommended them to several people and I will definitely be returning for any additional work in the future. Thanks guys!!

Very happy experience with this business! It sometimes can be intimidating going into a shop when youre not an regular rider or know a lot about bikes. And this crew made us feel welcomed and supported the entire time. We needed full tune-ups and the staff walked us through the entire process. Although they were backed up, I thought the turn around time was appropriate. I am happy to have found this place and will definitely be returning to East Side Pedal Pushers for any bike work in the future. Good prices and GREAT staff!

This is my favorite shop for basic commuter equipment and inexpensive repair work on common parts. They have the lowest labor rates of any shop I know, keep a stock of used-but-working replacement parts on hand, and have always been willing to let me use their tools if I want to do my own adjustments while waiting for the train. If youre looking for a practical, inexpensive bike to get you from point A to point B, this is your place. Id look elsewhere if youre looking for internally geared hubs, belt drive systems, featherweight racing bikes or other unusual and expensive gear... but for keeping your day-to-day transportation in working order on a budget, this is the best shop in town bar none.

Although this shop isnt easy to find unless you are a regular metro rail user (in which case the next to last stop in downtown Austin is directly across the street from the shop) this place not only had a great Austin friendly vibe but the guys running the store front/maintenance room were more than helpful in solving my problems. I thought I was going to have to buy a new tire, but dude pinched the tire and fixed it on the spot. I also had a stripped crank arm and instead of charging me for a new full 3-piece crank I was offered simply the one piece I needed for an affordable quick fix. I was out in ten minutes riding again. THANKS AGAIN GUYS! and to ANYONE looking for a less corporate and more local shop with anything you may need on a bad bike day. This is the spot.

First impressions really do make a difference. I was so pumped to go here and chat with someone about cycling, and gear, and hopefully get some tips. It was slow, and there was someone at the front and when I walked in, that person proceeded to blatantly ignore me. Im not one to fuss, so I waited. What briefly saved my opinion was when I finally was greeted, mind you, by someone else in the shop, who came from the back to compensate for the lack of customer service skills their fellow employee obviously was displaying. He chatted with me and answered a bunch of my newbie questions. Made me, for a second, feel a part of the community. While speaking with him, someone came in behind me and silent bob immediately jumped up and asked if he could help. If thats not annoying, I dont know what is. Mind you, I was going to get my bike serviced here, and now, probably never going back. Shame.

I thought i had a major problem with my chain/gears cause my chain kept popping off. so i decide to buckle down and finally visit a bike shop. ESPP just so happens to be the closest place to my neightborhood (Montopolis). I go in and i can instantly tell that they are quite busy. Every guy i saw in there had their hands greased up with a part in their hand, working on a bike. I look around for a few moments until a guy finishes up something and asks me if I need help. I tell him of my problem and ask if a tune up is what I need. He first explains what exactly is in a tune up and tells me it would be a 2 day turn around. I asked if thats how long it usually takes and he said they were slammed cause of people wanting their bikes ready for ACL, but he takes my bike anyway and puts it on the stand and says hell look at it real quick. He does some work while i look around their merchandise some more, a fair selection at decent prices. He calls me over a few minutes later and explains the problem. Makes a few adjustments and lubes up the chain and problem solved. Adjusts the brake lines and pads and fixes my seat and says im good to go. I didnt even need to spend extra money on a tune up and bike guy Fry fixed my bike for a small labor fee. I go ahead and buy me some glove while im there and make my way out. Super relaxed, absolutely no sales pressure, and best of all great pricing. If youre on this side of town, give ESPP a visit. Youll be surprised by this small bike shop.

Ive heard and read many good things about this place and know the owners sister though never been in because I didnt need a bike till now.....wow, was very disappointed with how i was treated...specifically from some dude named Trey/Troy? Dont know this guy, never met him in my life.. I was ready to drop a grand on a bike and i mean that day.....I walked in smiled said hey, whats up dude hows it going..im looking to buy a used or new bike, i commute about 38 miles a day and while I was speaking the guy really didnt really acknowledge me or look at me but noticed the girls walking in, cut me off and then said I dont have anything for you then brushed me off and started chatting with these girls...So maybe he was unimpressed with how i looked (not east side enough)???..Im original Austin, born on the east side, maybe thought i had no $ and was wasting his time?? He never asked me one question.. If this was my biz I would be pissed, 1) about how this shop is being represented, and there are many bike shops in town though i came here first.. 2) loosing a potential sale of a new or used bike. 3) loosing a potential $1K sale. This guy was just plain rude, and there were several bikes in the store my size... hes not doing ESPP any favors...Trey needs some treyning wheels..for real.
