Joe is true gentleman and trustworthy. I went to repair my sons schwinn ranger - considering the cost involved, Joe suggested to work through warranty or Target to get the issue taken care of. Didnt even try to sell me into it - rather gave me ideas/options to pursue before I spend to fix things.

Monkey Wrench is your friendly neighborhood bike shop. Not a ton of floor inventory, but Joe will always get you what you need (quickly) and can troubleshoot any issue you bring to him. Great place to go if you want to talk bikes, if you cant seem to get help at busier shops, or if you want to do custom stuff. Always top notch work and couldnt recommend more highly

LOVE this bike shop. I started commuting to work, and they were on my route. They have educated me on proper bike maintenance, and helped make commuting on my bike a much more enjoyable experience with all the maintenance, tips, and upgrades. I am glad I happened to stumble upon them.

These guys went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and give me advice when I came in with a flat tire. Gave me the tools to fix it showed me how to prevent future leaks and even let me wash up in their bathroom. This is going to be my go to bike shop from now on

I brought my bicycle there for a tune up. They were quick, honest, reasonably priced, and had great communication on what all they did. I love they they are so close to my home that I could walk there to pick up my bicycle. I will definitely bring it back to them the next time I need something.

OUTSTANDING customer service. I live 3 hours away and Im in Austin for some mountain biking. Well i accidentally forgot my SPD shoes and was hoping a shop could help me out with some use plastic ones flat pedals. After some disappointing tries I came across Monkey Wrench. The owner not only had a pair of metal pedals that were used. He flat-out gave them to me and ask for nothing in return. Thats how customer loyalty is born. Clearly the owner is a good guy and worth doing business with. I definitely will be back!

Went in for a flat tire, got amazing customer service, history lesson on my Trek, and some honest tips on how to improve the bike to be Tri ready. Prices are reasonable as well. After countless bad experiences at other bike shops it’s refreshing to have finally found a great one. I won’t take any of my bikes anywhere else.

Great experience!!! I needed a replacement chain for my mountain bike. The gentleman was very knowledgable and took his time to explain everything so I could make my decision. I am getting back in to riding again so I have a lot of catching up to do. He shared a lot of different info and really helped me out. I know who I will be taking my bike in the future!!!

Just bought a bike from them, and they were very nice and super helpful. Id definitely recommend them to anyone. The store can be a little hard to find. If youre having problems finding it, try 55th and Guadeloupe.

Awesome. Went in to get a new tube installed; they basically ended up giving me a mini-tune-up... for free. Took the extra money and gave it as a well-earned tip. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and cheap!

Incredibly friendly and helpful, encouraged me to ride a bunch of their bikes and even check elsewhere if I didnt see what I liked. Very comfortable buying experience both times I went (even when the first time I left and bought a Craigslist bike).

I have never had such a pleasant experience getting something fixed in my life!First off, though a bit hard to find at first, this little bike shop is the shiz! I was a walk-in right as they opened and Michael greeted me at the door. My poor little bike, Violet Thunder, was a hot, haggard mess! But, he took her in with open arms, evaluated what I needed, did a quick once over and said he would give me a call once they had a chance to inspect her a bit more in detail. I got a very fair price quote and about 20mins after I had dropped her off, I got a call giving me a projected time to complete her facelift and was given the same repair price.It was great too, because my bike has a weird braking system that they had never seen before, but they were able to tweak it so that it worked as it should.I was just so impressed with how friendly, competent, quick and affordable these guys were and I now have a bike shop of choice.I have recommended them to all my cyclist friends because they just made such a great impression on me w/their skills, knowledge, attitude, and professionalism, and affordability.Can you be smitten w/a repair shop? Cuz I totally am!

I came in because my bicycle’s left crank was unserviceable and I felt like I was one of those customers that come at the last second for closing. Visiting from out of town, i was replacing my front fork and didnt have everything to do the job myself so I brought it in for them to finish the job. Fork installation involves a lot: removal of fork, crown race removal (major pain in the you know what), spacers, bearings, star fangled nut installation, steerer tube cutting and more. These guys really did a great job on my Giant Talon 27.5 with a new Manitou Marvel fork. They even threw in the star nut for free and apparently I lost a bearing or seal of some sort but they found something in their shop that worked. These guys really communicate very very well with you and are super detail oriented. Would never hesitate to come back here. Thanks guys!
