We have taken all of our vehicles here for almost 20 years. They are honest if a problem is outside their ability. I appreciate their quality check and wont let your car go unless they feel confidant that it is fixed.

Went in because I needed a wheel in order to get to work, the employee was respectful just the down side was they needed to order the wheel and wouldnt be there by the end of the day.

Stopped it for a quick fix on a Friday afternoon.. I had remounted my wheels poorly after a DIY brake job. Something to remember with Lug BOLTS vs Lug NUTS and the proper use of a wheel hanger pin. Had some steering wheel shake over 60mph..They took care of my mistake, in under 30min.Plenty of bays and staff, saw a half a dozen other customer coming and going.

Gentlemen at the front desk is an awesome guy. Greeted us nicely and within 30 min, the car state inspection was done. Will definitely recommend this place.

Just plain old good customer service from people who like treating customers well. Klingeman is a great local resource for honest auto service after the dealership warranty runs out.

They crossthreaded a lug nut after a tire change, but were extremely helpful in getting the problem corrected. They thought ahead and ordered a new lug nut & stud right when they were first made aware of the problem so that I could bring my car in whenever was convenient and have it fixed right on the spot.

Klingemanns really went over and Beyond helping my son out on a days notice redoing and alignment another shop had not done correctly. I felt like i had just sat down when they finished up because everyone was so friendly.Completely separate instance, i needed a unique tire ASAP and they were the only place in South Austin that could get it in time, it also just so happened that they were by far the lowest price.Could not recommend them enough!

Amazing service! These guys are friendly and outgoing plus even though it’s not necessary they have a nice little charging unit for all phones. A car inspection took about 20 minutes and cost less than 20$! I called after getting my inspection because my break emergency light was on and it was because the Emergency break was left up after the inspection (talk about being a goober on my part). The man who picked up didn’t make fun of me which was more than warranted and was very polite! If you are going to complain about them leaving the AC on full blast or them adjusting your seat too much then clearly you are extremely high maintenance and need to assess your princess/prince attitude (The reviewer Chris) but if you want quick, friendly and awesome service then there is no place else I can recommend.

Ive come here for years to get service on multiple cars. Ive always received high-quality work at a fair price. Usually they were able to start working on my car immediately, with no delays. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. I love this place.

I was new to Austin, TX and was hard to find a good place to get my Tesla Model 3 tires rotated. If you are in the south side of Austin, TX, you should consider going to Klingemann Car Care & Tire Pros (5635 Hwy 290 West, Austin, TX 78735) for your Tesla Model 3 tire rotation. Just to be safe, I bought the Tesla Model 3 Lifting Jack pad - 4 Pack by Teslapuck and took it to the shop. Explained to them that I would like for them to use these to lift the vehicle. They didnt have any issues with using them and they worked out pretty good and charged me around $20 for the tire rotation. I would recommend using them especially if you live in south Austin, TX area and want to avoid the hike to the Tesla Service Center.I also provided the following details when I handed over the keys:Tire Rotation: Front-to-RearLug nuts Torque: 129 ft-lb for 18 stock tires w/ aero wheelsTire Pressure: 42 psiHope this helps and they were awesome about handling my vehicle. I also highly recommend them for other cars as they seem to have a good group of people working there.

These guys saved me about $700 on a dashboard bezel (plastic trim ring around dashboard of a Ram 1500) verses the Dodge dealer quote. Decided to give them my business. The same vehicle had air conditioning issues, so they conned me into replacing the evaporator coil under the dash for almost $1,000. Still had issues, they said I now needed to replace the compressor-again- $1,100. They said also, btw you need a new timing chain gasket for $hundreds, I elected to take my business elsewhere. I asked the new mechanic to also check the timing chain gasket and replace if needed- no leak, no flaw, no stain from old leaks. Be careful of these guys, I feel they created needless, non-existent issues for a huge payday. 2 stars because they saved me a little cash. 2 star because I feel they were somewhat dishonest.

There employees are very rude and not helpful

I was visiting Austin today and the battery on my car died. I jumped it and took to to this locally owned business. The experience was phenomenal. The staff was professional, friendly, and performed the battery swap in a very timely manne at a very competitive price. I was very impressed with how clean the entire facility was both inside and out. It is obvious they take pride in what they do. I would strongly encourage anyone reading this to trust these fine people with all your automotive needs.

At the risk of sounding like a gushy review from a friend of the owner (Im not)... This place is as close to perfect as I have ever seen.It is run by friendly, competent, and professional people. We tried this place five years ago by pure chance, and no one in my family goes anywhere else anymore. Their work is almost always perfect, and when something happens (once in five years with 7 cars) they stand by their workmanship and warranties with zero hassle. They have the quality of locally owned and the prices/convenience of the big guys.Dont just support locally owned, support the best.

I did state inspection here for my two cars and was happy with the service, very polite office manager and fast work.Oil change was also good experiences. Initially we had some misunderstanding with light bulbs that servicemen told should be replaced. My husband checked the car later at home and everything looked OK. And the car passed state inspection just week ago. So he suspected not honest service and we wrote negative review. Couple days later the owner of this place called us personally and explained which specific bulbs are burnt and why they are not considered critical for state inspection. What a great customer service! They stays behind their work and value good reputation. Checked the car again and found 3rd middle stop light and second lamp on licence plate indeed not working. Please accept our apology for rush judgement.Will will definitely come back again.

Had a nail in my tire, walked in and was out in 30 mins. Very courteous and friendly staff.Staff recommended that the tires would go at least another 6-8k miles while another chain repair shop mentioned had mentioned just a week ago that I would have to replace one of the tires immediately along with lots of other stuff. I am definitely going here again for most or all of my maintenance.

Thanks for the response Tom. I was there and spoke of my concern and experience at the time of service. When the front desk guy stated he was not a tech and called in the man from the garage he was on defense instead of understanding my position. With 3 other men in the front desk doing their own thing I left it as is(I figured someone up front was higher up but let the mechanic tell me whats what, so instead of causing a scene I had my bill corrected and left in a hurry and got away from the attitude). Tom what is it that you need to know about my situation? Please email me because talk is forgotten all to easy.Review-I started going there after my mechanic retired. Has great ratings, right?Took my car, my husband van and my mothers car...needless to say after they did anything to it within 3 months something went wrong with my truck, with my husband van and nothing with my moms car(just a flat so it was in and out in less than 30 minutes). What caught me off guard was the oil leak. It needs fixing, no doubt, but when the tech that called back spoke with me I thought it strange what he was speaking about. Saying the pan it bent and the head needs a gasket seal and its all leaking...we told them to just do the lower part(umm where the leak is, not a drop showing from above). Then we get it done and when I get there I notice on the receipt they double charged me for labor? I asked why? They said the bill was a mistake. GLAD I CAUGHT IT! I usually give 3 attempts but no thank you. Already trying to over sell a job and then double charging me. Not honest.

I got my inspection done there. Very friendly, very clean, very quick.Im only giving them four stars because when I got back into my car, the mechanic had left the AC on full-blast instead of returning it back to its settings and when I got in my car to drive home from work that night, the mechanic had left the headlights off and not return them back to automatic.

I went by to see if they could fix the bumper light on my SUV. They were able to get me in very quickly and replaced the bulb at a very reasonable rate. I have other friends who got work done on their cars at this shop and all were very satisfied and recommended that I go there. I am glad I did. I work next to firestone but I refuse to go there as they have not been honest with me in the past. so i am glad I found a new mechanic in town, its a bit of a drive for me but is well worth it. Thank you.

I took my truck for alignment after I installed leveling kit, when I got the truck back I noticed that some of the reading where not proper. I took the truck back and was told that Camber adjustment can not be done and there more involved parts that need to replaced but the reading is not too far off, few months goes by and tires start wearing out.I took it today to speedy align on Oltorf and he said that Camber was not touched and he adjusted it.Those guys dont know what they are doing so I would not take my truck there even for state inspection

My first experience at Klngermanns Car Care was complete and delightful. Words that come to mind are competence, courtesy, care and friendliness. Indeed all the customers who were served this day seemed to be well pleased and happy. The staff were knowledgeable and worked seamlessly together as a team. They noted my long wait and repaired my brake problem gratis. When did that ever happen before in a vehicle service facility? I plan to do all future auto servicing with Klingermanns! .

My wife’s best friend thought she needed a brake job since her brakes made a funny noise the first time she used them each day. Once before she went to one of those $99 brake special places and it cost her over $600. She was nervous about where to go so I recommended Klinggman’s as an honest place to go. They don’t offer $99 brake specials because Tom explained that no legitimate shop can quote you a price before they look at the brakes. It might be less, it might be more. Instead they don’t charge you anything to pull off all 4 tires and inspect your brakes. When my friend got her report they said the brakes could go a year or two more before anything needed to be done. The squeak she was hearing first thing was normal. It stopped squeaking when the brakes warmed up. No charge! I highly recommend Klinggman’s for anyone looking for an honest repair shop.

I went in for a state inspection early Saturday morning and the gentlemen at the front desk told me the inspection system was down for the entire Austin area, and that I would need to come back on Monday. I called the Jiffy Lube down the street to verify, and lo and behold, everything was up and operational. Ive been told state inspections are a loss leader for many auto shops, but if youre going to offer them, dont lie to my face when you dont feel like honoring your service offering. I could have been a repeat customer for all my tune-up and mantainence needs because the location is extremely convenient. Why would I trust you guys with my vehicle now?

AVOID unless you want to waste your time and money. These guys charged me the full vehicle inspection cost only to tell me that my car did not pass due to the window tint being too dark. You would think they would be courteous enough to check the tint level first before they proceeded with the rest of the inspection in order to save themselves time and so they wouldn’t need to charge the customer for no reason. Funny thing is I had the same vehicle, same tint level last year and these guys passed it anyway. To try and cover for themselves they said the law had recently changed within the last several months making anything under 25% illegal, however that law went into affect in 2009 according to my research. The clown working the front desk by the name of Porter was very arrogant and unprofessional after I got upset and asked why I was still being charged, even though they did not tell me this prior to taking my keys. He said it sounded like I was just butthurt about having to pay $18.50. Ignorance at its finest. He did not even bother to explain that if I fixed the tint issue and came back within 2 weeks that they would run the inspection again at no charge I had to find this out myself after all had been said and done. It would have made things alot more pleasant had the man simply passed along that information when he told me it did not pass. Definitely the type of establishment you want to avoid unless you want to argue with a guy who has to have the last word and doesnt know when to stop talking. Embarrassing on their behalf to have Porter as the face of their shop. Completely unacceptable customer service. Do yourself a favor and take your business to an actual professional shop who knows how to treat their customers.

Nice neighborhood shop, probably not if you have real issues but competent for basics and generally trustworthy.

I brought my car in due to a slow leak. Once they had the car in, they found the leak and repaired it in 10 minutes. Totally surprised at the lightning fast turn around time and my cost was only $17!Ill be giving them a chance at future work.

I was having some problems with my Chevy Tahoe back seat not latching in its upright position. Nothing serious as far as mechanical but very frustrating none the less. I stopped in for them to take a look - they not only were able to get me vehicle right in, they also fixed the seat issues...AT NO CHARGE. Great experience and somewhat surprised with the exceptional service (unfortunately not the norm at most places these days). Thanks!

Took car in for highway speed vibration, asked them to check the tires first then if vibration was still present dig deeper. They said tires needed rotating and balanced, i said... Ok, do it.Picked it up, they said.. oh yeah, vibration is gone. Vibration hadnt changed at all...Long story short, they missed a failing front u joint, only explanation i could get was that their tire guys didnt know anything about u joints. Better be sure to diagnose youre own ride before taking it in to this place.

Not only that, Ive always loved their service so it was a perfect marriage.Yesterday I dropped my 2013 Silverado off for a $90 synthetic standard oil change which they finished in just a couple of hours (around 3:30PM). They close at 5:30 and I got stuck at work and showed up at 5:42 12minutes after closing. My bad and I accept responsibility for that. The people there know me and recognize me. They know Im a loyal customer and have been for years. The guy closing made absolutely no attempt to help me(he knows Im a loyal customer). All he had to do was open the gate, give me my key and I would have paid the next morning(because his computer was shut down). Instead I was stuck in the heat with no vehicle. I even offered to leave my credit card, but he said it was too much trouble and that everything was locked and there was nothing he could do and I closed 15 minutes go man.I get it, but whatever happened to customer service? He could have at least tried? He could have gone and looked to see how much trouble it actually may have been to give me my vehicle. If he had come back and said, man I have to unclock two garage doors and move 3 vehicles to get to your truck, I would have understood more and he would have at least tried. He recognized me from previous business, and youd think a loyal customer would at least get a little extra above and beyond help.Maybe Im wrong or being selfish and he is right for not trying to help. Ill let you decide.When I picked my truck up this morning I told the same guy calmly that Id never be back (he knew why) and he simply said okay. I guess my business is not important enough to him to say anymore than that or he is so sure Im the one in the wrong that he doesnt care or even worse, neither of those things are happening and he just doesnt care one way or another I hope it isnt that. It is also amazing considering he knows I work in an office building next door and I will be telling everyone here this story. I dont know if that is where it was last night, but Im fairly certain it was considering they finished my oil change around 3:30.

My family has been going to this Klingemann’s for 15+ years. We have taken a dozen cars there between our 5 person family. I went off to college and realized auto shops weren’t all like Klingemann’s. Being a young female, so many auto shops tried to take advantage of me, trying to tell me my car absolutely needed things it definitely didn’t. Klingemann never once behaved this way. They are honest and kind. They don’t try to deceive you or up sell. Now, being a female in my mid-20’s, I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else.Additionally, my best friend had a terrible used car buying experience. Carmax sold her a terrible car that was definitely not checked or maintained. Klingeman wrote her a statement for her unavoidable lawsuit stating all the problems with the car that the dealership had to have known about. They took care of her when another auto company was trying to take advantage. Again, can’t say enough good things about Klingemann’s.
