These guys are great they took/take very good care of my 2010 Cadillac STS I bought her used and shes got quite a few things that need to be taken care of, they were professional on time and not so expensive I couldnt get a big job done on my car which was the oil pan gasket which was causing a major leak. As soon as I had time and the money again I took her right back in for the alignment they took great care of her and I plan on going back as soon as Im able to to take care of more of my to-do list that needs to be done on my vehicle. I highly recommend using them theyre good people and their local which I love.

I waited until the last possible day to get my inspection sticker. All of my usual places were short-staffed and couldnt take me. I took a chance on Google and would up at Amazing Auto Repair. It was around 4:45 pm and they close at 5:30. I was told it would be a 45 minute wait but they would get me in. I was fine with that. The electronic check-in was fast and easy. The waiting area was clean and Austin quirky. I loved it. I grabbed a complimentary bottle of water from the fridge and settled in. The wonderful lady at the front desk suddenly appeared offering me a bottle from the back because the ones in the fridge werent cold yet. Before I could get comfortable again, I received a text stating that my car was ready. I was out of there in less than 20 mins. They will definitely be my first stop for future inspections and I would be willing to go there for repair needs as well. Customer service was OUTSTANDING! Side Note: A gentleman was picking up his car and had paid online so all he had to do was get his keys and go. Thats a wonderful option for those of us with busy lifestyles.

Really pleased with the communication and efficiency of Amazing Auto. This was my first time to use them (due to an auto emergency, I was nearly 30 miles from home when vehicle went kaput). Patrick was very good about keeping me in the loop on repairs and although we had to add a few extra items of service, it was because of their thorough evaluation of the vehicle. Sending along photos of areas of concern really helped me better understand the issues that needed repair. Highly recommend!

The hours of operation of this place are wrong . They only work monday-friday; because of this many people showed up Saturday and were either left waiting or left wanting service.

My second time coming back; needed an emergency alignment. They were pretty packed for the day, but were able to squeeze me in quick! Always great service, I love their online diagnostics page. Honest mechanics and they do great work!

Used to be good..customer service has gone downhill. Recently my boyfriend took his car there and the lack of communication was obvious. We thought maybe it was a one off because customer service used to be good. So, I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance. I get a phone call on the morning of my appointment stating that they will inspect my car and reach back out to me later in the day with recommendations. Its getting late in the day and I have not gotten a call, email or text, nothing. I finally call them, an employee asks which car is mine and then says let me call you back in 15-20 minutes, 40 minutes later still no call. I call back, no one answers so I leave a vm. 30 minutes later I get a call. Im told they did not have a good phone number for me so they had to look at the caller ID. I responded that the person who initially called me had the correct number somehow. At this point, its an hour before they close. I inform them I am just going to pick up my car.  Their reason for not communicating was either dishonest or incompetent and neither of those instill trust in doing business.

Easily the best shop I’ve ever taken my van to. They were very thorough, professional, and prices were affordable too. Customer service is outstanding and they made sure to show and explain everything going on with my van. They really go out of the way to take care of the customer. For me they did a courtesy inspection to catch all the issues my van might have in addition to the original issue, with a nice detailed write up and photos. Even little stuff like vacuuming the floorboard means a great deal. I wish I lived in the area because if I did, this would be the only shop for me ever again!

My car’s AC had a failing evaporator core, very time consuming and expensive repairInitially they recommended a replacement on my car’s compressor, another expensive repair to do with AC. They never detected the failed evaporator and insisted such a part rarely fails.So after authorizing the repair for the compressor replacement and voicing my concern over the possible failed evaporator core I was reassured that the staff had not detected any issues or further leaks.it was disappointing to see the AC was still blowing hot a few months after the repair. They filled my car back up with refrigerant and sent me on my way, mentioned they sealed some o-rings in the AC system.Again the AC started to blow warm after a couple of months. Brought it back again, waited a few hours to be told my AC in fact DID NOT have a leak and that there may be an electrical issue. The staff couldn’t run a diagnostic that day.Having enough of the runaround I took the car to the dealership where they confirmed that there WAS a leak in the evaporator core and the costs of repairing the AC and following its maintenance was not worth the money.They were nice enough to talk to, and were honest with the issues they could find, however I feel like I could’ve saved time and money had they been able to provide a full scope of the issue. Instead I paid a couple thousand to repair an AC system that was long gone.

We have been using Amazing Auto to service our company fleet of Chevy Tahoes for the last year, and they have not let us down!I like that they make us aware of repairs that need to be completed in the near future but arent necessarily needed ASAP. This allows us to monitor the issues and prohibits us from making costly repairs that dont always need to be done, right at that moment.Additionally, their shop uses a convenient software that allows the client to view mobile reports of their vehicle, where the technician will post pictures and videos of broken or leaking parts, which is very nice for peace of mind. These reports are extremely thorough and allow you to objectively see what the technician or service advisor is talking about, without just taking their word for it.Overall, I would happily recommend Amazing Auto & Transmission to any family member or friend looking for a great auto repair facility!

Bought a used car from an individual and decided to take it in for a diagnostic. Great value and they were extremely thorough. They sent an email with all the details but Patrick also called to walk through it w me to let me know what maintenance was urgent, what could wait, and all the things in good standing. I didnt use their financing ability but it is nice to know that option is available. They were fast w the repairs and maintenance and w the ability to pick up and drop off after hours allows you to work around your schedule regardless of what is is. Plus you can pay online so the experience can be as contact less as you want it to be. I found my new car repair place and would recommend to anyone.

Total rip-off!! I took my SUV here to have the AC Service because it was blowing warm air. They informed me that my SUV was fixed and ready for pickup. I picked it up the AC work that day but the next day I get in it and its back blowing warm air again so I called them let them know they told me bring it back and now they found the real problem which is going to cost me even more.

I’ve used 4-5 different auto shops in Austin and Amazing Auto is by far my favorite. They are fast, they don’t pressure you into anything, they provide a free comprehensive breakdown of the health status of different parts of your car. It’s also more affordable than any other shop I’ve been to. Lastly, they are very convenient when it comes to scheduling a time or dropping of your vehicle when it’s best for you.

Amazing Auto Repair & Transmission FAR exceeded my expectations!!!I would trust these guys to handle anything auto-related.I got texts throughout the whole process and related links.My car was towed in after-hours, and the key was left in the secure drop off onsite.The engine wasnt starting - out of the blue.They found an after market device installed that was interfering with the ignition block. After approval, they completely removed it!They also did a detailed full-health diagnostic of the vehicle.I was back in my wheels 2 days later!Couldnt get there before they closed, so they placed my key in the coded, padlock boxes by the front door. You get a personalized code to unlock yours, upon successful payment, to retrieve the key.Got into my car - and breathed a sigh of RELIEF!They even fixed an interior lighting issue that I didnt know was broken!!Summary: Will be back again!!!Thank you Patrick, Damon, and the crew! I recently purchased a used 2006 BMW(first car) the seller told me that the transmission fluid need to be topped off. I took the car to the guys at Amazing Auto repair. The guys there noted that the fluid was full. Great. They also e mail/text/ you with status of vehicle. I like the fact that I can schedule appointment on-line as well. Im going back to do the recommendation as well.

We recently purchased a used car with a ton of miles, which had a weird mildew smell coming from the AC. Luckily Amazing Auto Repair had some flexible appointment slots and immediately removed the cabin air filter, and used a disinfectant evaporator spray to fix the smell. Its been a few days now since our service and the car still smells so much better. Im pregnant so Im sensitive to a lot of smells and this service changed my mood and nausea immensely. Hours on Google state they are open 7am to 11pm every day of the week. Their website also states they are open 7am to 11pm 7 days a week, and it even includes a banner saying Yes, we are open!I went there at 4:30pm on a Sunday and they were closed. The OPEN sign was off and the office was locked with no indication as to why they were closed during what they state normal business hours.I understand that maybe Google wont allow them to change their hours, but there is no excuse for having those same hours on their website.Having a key drop and the ability to leave your car do not count as Open. Virtually all auto mechanic shops have this option, yet do not claim to be open during those times. Having on-call towing or whatever also does not count. If I cannot purchase/pay for your service, you arent open.Fix your hours and I will remove this review.

Very helpful - communicated with us frequently throughout the process. We thought the issue was one thing - they discovered it was not and the repair cost only about half of what we thought it would be because of that. Professional and honest. I live 60 miles away, but am bringing my wifes car in next because I know I can trust them.

It took 2 separate attempts to schedule any service here, and that was a failure for me. The first attempt was showing up during their advertised hours of being open to find no one there; this was in the first week of the new year. I called and left my phone number as instructed, which was greeted with a message saying theyd be back on the 28th of December, but that someone would be paged and call me back. That return call never happened. I went up again on Sunday the 17th during their advertised hours of being open at the time Id made an online appointment for at 12:00, again to find no one there. I called and left another message with my number, following the instructions and again was told someone would be paged and call me back. I got a text message saying they were sorry no one had called me back but they didnt have availability that day, and that i could come anytime Monday thru Friday. We had 2 cars that needed oil change and I had put both cars in, each with a separate appointment for today, at 2:30 and the 2nd at 2:45. My return text said the oil change could be done while we waited. I arrived at 2:30 to find no one in the office but the door was unlocked and a digital sign in device was available. I put my information in and even though the initial look up on my phone number didnt find me, it did by my last name and had my car listed. (2019 Jeep). I finished the check in and sat down in the lobby area. A few minutes later a guy came in, turned on the music (assuming, from my point of view that was for the waiting area) and he asked if I had rang the bell... I said no, I had checked in but there was nothing that said to ring a bell after doing so. His response was that Id be sitting there forever Id I didnt ring the bell. (This i now believe) My other half came in and started his check in, and the guy working there said theyd call us back after the cars were ready. I told the guy about my text that said we could wait, and he said the lobby was closed because of covid, making it clear that we could not stay inside even being cold and rainy too and now we had both our cars there. Now I assume the music being turned on was for him?? He then proceeds to tell me that MY car required pure synthetic and that I couldnt use the coupon i had from their website. They already had my car type and knew I was coming for an oil change, so why couldnt that have been relayed to me previously? Even though the guy who texted me back said theyd discount mine for the hassles of even setting an appointment or getting any contact, he was quitting me $70 for the oil change. I told him to forget it because I can get it at Walmart for $40. The other car was serviced for the coupon price with no deductions as promised.This establishment clearly doesnt desire to build strong relationships or make money. 3 attempts total to just having my oil changed is pure ridiculousness, and I for sure wont make a 4th. Not being open during your advertised hours is bad enough, but to get jerked around like that after a scheduling hassle is why some places succeed and some dont.

They saw me promptly at the time of my appointment. Told me the worst and best case scenario regarding my cars issues. The kept me informed every step of the way. They gave me the most comprehensive report Ive ever seen. Texted me details and answered my questions via text. Didnt recommend anything beyond what was needed. Quick and easy payment and awesome after hours pick up. Really advanced work at a great rate. I would send my mom to them.

First time going into an auto repair place as i had only had a moped before but they were so lovely and welcoming and explained the processes and issues in a very easy to follow manner. not to mention how kind the employees were! definitely using them if anything happens againalso since covid is happening they sent vehicle reports and communicated over the phone which is a plus!

I found this place by accident. Driving home from the grocery store and passed by. I gave them a call and their staff was friendly and efficient, and had me scheduled in no time! I love their set up, especially right now with COVID being a thing. They had a nice isolated waiting room so that you could relax and wait for them to service your vehicle. And my wait wasnt long! They did the oil change, checked all my fluid levels, even aired up my tires and vacuumed my car and I was out of there! I have already told many of my friends about this place and I definitely plan on making it my place to go for all my car needs. Thanks so much!

Worst service, in the world. went in for an engine check light. I even advised them on the issue and they decide to do a full picture show. They decide to take pictures of my car and only tell me what the condition of the car is and what the fluid conditions, instead of tackling the issue of an engine check light. An top of that even with me telling them what the issue was because I used my OBDII sensor which stated it was an engine piston miss firing they dont fix the issue but charge me $120 for the photos. With all the technology their using, it seems like they still dont their niche, which is to fix cars and not play with tech toys to make it seem like its complicated. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Ive had weird things happen with my car right after I finished paying it off, and Patrick was always able to figure it out and fix it for a reasonable price. The work is also covered if I have any trouble with it, so its reassuring to know that I can call if anything goes wrong with it. this is my go-to place in Austin. everyone else is sorely overpriced or doesnt do a good job.

And I owe them an apology somehow some wacky one-star review just got left on their page from my account.. thankfully the manager called and asked about the bizarre review. I took my car in because I was having problems with my AC. Amazing Auto Repair took the time to look to see if there was a leak. I had gone to another mechanic who automatically said it was the compressor and that it would be $700. They never even asked me any questions. Amazing Auto is always professional and thorough. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants an honest mechanic.

This company has everything in line. Got me in same day and out by 4 pm, when they were busy. They were able to pop my axel back in, do alignment, and inspection. The staff was nice and explained well when I had questions. I would recommended this company to all types of vehicles. I have pro-tuned Subaru WRX STi 2004.

I was having issues with a clunk in my suspension after replacing several front suspension components. Another shop did not want to even look at my car, so I took it to Amazing Auto Repair and they were more than happy to take a look and diagnose the cause of the noise. They were very thorough and professional and were able to find the issue which saved me a lot of headache. I will be bringing my other cars here in the future.

Always do a great job with my car - you get what you came for and more. Service here is fantastic. I feel very good bringing my car here - Im given helpful (but not pushy) advice to maintain my car long-term and avoid expensive repairs due to lack of maintenance, which is what I want to do. Their multi-point inspection they send you is truly impressive, along with the (outside) warranty you get with your service - much appreciated.

Great friendly staff who know what they are doing. Very nice to work with and gave me updates through the process and when my car was ready. The windshield cleaning was a pleasant bonus.

They helped resolve an air condition issue I had with my 2012 Mustang. Not only did they try and find the problem, but they refilled my freon for free at least once during the testing phase. The final fix required pulling off my dash to replace a part. I couldnt tell anything had changed (except the excellent AC result).

After I heard my brakes squeaking very loudly for a few weeks, I visited Amazing Auto Repair to get it inspected. I was told it would take some time and that they would provide me a shuttle home. A few hours later, I receive a call saying that there was no squeaking coming from the brakes. I asked twice if that was true because the squeaking was loud enough for anyone to hear. Patrick told me that my brakes were fine and to come back in a few months if I still was concerned.Also when I was dropped home while my car was being inspected, the driver told me he would pick me up after repairs are done. When I called close to closing about my car, they said they dont pick up customers, leaving me stranded. I had to call the manager, Patrick to ask for the ride I was promised.Weeks later, I visited Nissan to get my car checked for another issue and was told by several technicians that my front brakes were failing, and that I should not drive again until my brakes are fixed. As you can imagine, I was incredibly upset to know that I was driving around with failing brakes. I have proof from Amazing Auto stating that my brakes were a non-urgent issue.To conclude, Amazing Auto scammed me and put me in danger on the road by saying my brakes were fine, when in fact, they were at a very low mm. I usually do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn customers who are thinking of getting repairs done here. Its not worth your time, nor your money. With that said, it makes me wonder if they really did the other repairs they said they completed.Patrick, I am disappointed in your service and hope that the same does not happen to others who come into the shop.

UPDATE. I can no longer recommend Amazing Auto Repair post COVID-19. NONE of the staff was wearing masks per city/county emergency ordinance. The website claims they are taking all sorts of of COVID-19 related precautions. They are not. When I went to pick up my car, they guy who drove it up was NOT wearing a mask or gloves, there were no protective coverings on the seat, steering wheel, or stick shift. There was no evidence of sanitizing spray being used.I had also wanted a state inspection done and called ahead to make sure the service was still being offered. I was told that although you had laid-off your inspector, you were using an inspector from the auto business next door. When I picked up my vehicle, I was told an inspection could not be done because the inspector from next door was out sick with COVID-19.Great. You guys have known exposure to COVID-19 and still not wearing masks...and then try to LIE about it to me via text when I tell you I was not real pleased with my service experience because of your lack of COVID-19 precautions and misleading website information.Clearly you do not care about my satisfaction or safety so I will go elsewhere for auto service. Tired of the text spamming as well. You guys have become desperate and dishonest. If you want a CLUE of how COVID-19 safety should be done in an auto service context, go to DISCOUNT TIRE. I have had service done there twice without a service tech having to enter my car or me having to enter their lobby.You should also consider ADMITTING when you make an error or fail to do as advertised (e.g., COVID precautions, accurate shop hours, having onsite vehicle inspections). Instead, you serve up more insincere platitudes and side step your failures. I was not disappointed with your service, I was so DISSATISFIED with it I am not coming back...BIG difference. Less SPIN and more HONESTY If you really want to be amazing.

We were a walk in for an oil change and they took care of us very quickly! I was so pleased with the service and quickness :)Will definitely return for future needs.

Wow, this auto shop is definitely Amazing! I am very impressed with the amount of diagnostic information that was provided to me in order to determine what issues needed to be addressed. Every other place Ive taken my car to for a diagnosis doesnt even compare to the excellent customer service I received. I have never received such detailed information from other repair shops who took the time to discuss which repairs were more vital than others that were recommended. I will most definitely be a returning customer for all future car repairs and maintenance. Thank you so much for easing the mind of a single woman who has been taken to the cleaners by other auto repair shops.

I went to that shop for oil change, brake fluid, and power steering hose replacement. I had a coupon with $9.99 synthetic blend oil change (if I ordered any 2 maintenance serves) because I used the same shop a year ago. I was nervous if I have to pay more than I expected, but Patrick helped me out. He told me the steering hose was fine so need to worry about it. Then, he offered me a discount while fixing my car. In the end, I paid $103! It may not seem cheap, but I trust his honesty and hard work. I will use the coupons he offered whenever I need and return to Amazing Auto Repair in the future.Bonus: They offer $18 synthetic blend oil change for the first customer. Good price for the people around that area!

We have used Amazing Auto Repair several times. Their services have been consistently prompt, competent, and competitively priced. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Although it is some distance from our home we will be returning in the future.

Quick, thorough service, clean and comfy waiting area, nice bathroom, good prices, and the owner arranged to have my state inspection done along with my oil change by the business next door when I mentioned I was getting my registration. Even though they dont offer this service, they went out of their way to drop my car off next door and return it after the inspection - I never left the waiting area and I was able to pay for both at once. Ill definitely be returning. Oh, and Yogi the dog is a great bonus :)

I had my vehicle towed here. Repair services NOT rendered. Paying for the tow service closed out service ticket but I keep getting messages and responses inquiring how the car is running, warranty, etc.I was impartial in my initial review, but now Im slightly dissatisfied after subsequent responses.There us either inaccurate service tickets, insincerity, or spam. The staff at Amazing Auto Repair were friendly, attentive, & informative. I didnt feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. They were very thorough with the inspection of my cars problems & gave me a detailed list to care for my car going forward. I had a complimentary shuttle ride to and from home, as I only have one car. I sleep during the day for work, so they called to make sure I would be able to get my car before they closed for the evening or to help set up an after hours pick up. I appreciate the entire experience with this team & highly recommend to anyone in the area.

If I lived in this area, these guys would be THE place for my car. Friendly and easygoing, yet professional and wow, thorough! They know their stuff. Its always a huge blessing when you find a mechanic you can trust.

Over the past few weeks I could hear a louder than normal motor so I took the precautionary route and brought my car to Amazing Auto Repair. Patrick listened to my concern and walked me through how they are going to dig deep and check every part of my car to diagnose the issue. That same day I received a thorough report on everything, good, not-so-bad and urgent things my car needed - with photos as proof. I often feel nervous walking into auto shops because I’m afraid of getting scammed or made to feel like I have to pay a pretty penny for repairs. At Amazing, I felt taken care of, I trust they will do a good job and I’m not as worried about the price because of their professionalism. They’ve gained my loyalty. Patrick was quick to get back to me, diagnosed my issue and quoted the repair that day. Both he and Kevin were very helpful and able to replace my AC blower motor while I was at work. Their shuttle service is what saved me since I couldnt take any time off. Very thankful they could fix it quickly with this heat :)

Normally I like to support local Austin businesses, but sadly, this is a company I will not do business with in the future. For anyone considering doing business here, just be aware that their facility is NOT open 7 days a week from 7am to 11pm. They have an on-call tow service to assist stranded passengers available during these hours, but the actual repair shop itself is not open and serving customers during the hours listed on Google. The person I spoke with incorrectly informed me that Google does not allow them to segregate their hours. This is false. I encourage the owner to look at Charles Maund Toyotas hours on Google. They separate their hours for their showroom, parts department, collision center, and service department. Amazing Auto Repair should do the same and separate their repair facility hours from the hours their towing service operates.When I showed up on Sunday at 4pm, the doors were locked and nobody was there working. So if your brakes start to fail and you want to get them checked, as I did, be sure to call instead of blindly trusting their posted hours of operation. Had their information been properly posted, this whole fiasco could have been avoided.Posting accurate information is a common courtesy I expect of businesses. You can contact a bank 24/7, but on Google they post the hours that the brick and mortars front doors will be open to serve customers. This business should apply the same logic.From reading other 1-star reviews that were posted, confusion on the hours of operation seems to be an ongoing issue. If multiple people are complaining about the same thing, its time to reassess whether you should change your approach. It would prevent this business from continuing to get 1-star reviews.If you want to support another great local Austin business, one that correctly posts their hours of operation, I recommend going to Great Hills Automotive on Thunder Creek Rd. Ask for Rick.Lastly, I would not have posted this review in the first place had they seemed a little more concerned about my situation or had they taken the time to refer me to another business that was open. On the positive side, I will admit that the person I texted with was abundantly polite, and they did respond to me promptly. Unfortunately, Im still driving a car with failing brakes. That said, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Patrick Rogers handled my interactions with the shop. He was professional, accurate on his quote for repairs and met every timeline discussed. I now have a new trusted auto mechanic shop. Most times auto shops let their customers down. Patrick made sure I felt in control over every detail.

Amazing Auto is honest, fair and reasonably. I have taken 4 different vehicles to them and they have done a great job on the work they have preformed. They even instructed me to get a second opinion on one of my vehicles, which I did. Amazing was spot on with there diagnosis at a much more reasonable price than I was quoted by the shop that I received the second opinion from. Thanks Damon & Patrick!! Keep up the awesome work!!

My daughter is a student at UT Austin, she has her little beater car that gets her around. Recently, it would not start. The first place she went diagnosed the problem and was going to charge her over $700 to replace the battery and cables. She towed the car back home and a friend replaced the battery. This did not resolve the problem. I called Amazing Auto Repair and spoke with Damon. I expressed my concerns about the other shop and the fact that she, nor I, could afford costly auto repairs. He let me know that there would be a charge to diagnose and his rates are below the average in the area. I felt he was trustworthy and we had the car towed there. It was a problem with the cables and his original estimate was about $180 which included the diagnostics. When she arranged to pick up the car the total bill was $120!!!! I was thrilled, she was thrilled and we were both so appreciative of the great service!! I highly recommend Damon and Amazing Auto Repair to everyone, especially those who need to put their trust in someone when your child is a way at college and you cant be there to help them in situations like this.
