I was having trouble with my battery so I went here because its AAA recommended, and they couldnt get me in as soon as I needed. I asked if I could call a chain and see if they could get me in same day, and the man up front let me call them rather than try to dissuade me from using another shop, which is really good in my book. But then he also handed me a sticky note with another shops info on it and told me that they were really honest and trustworthy. I really appreciate the care and consideration. Ill definitely use AutoTek in the future when I have time to make an appointment first.

The service here is always good and thorough. They are punctual and responsive via email, phone and even text. I have spoken primarily with Aaron, but the entire team works very hard to ensure me and my car (a Mini) are happy, even though they are often very busy. I wouldnt say theyre the cheapest in town but I am definitely a repeat customer because the service they offer is quality and they are genuine and transparent - Ive lived in several states and find this is not always easy to find in a mechanic.I also called about another vehicle and they were savvy enough to say they didnt do a lot of work on those and referred me to another good spot. Cant ask for more than that! Highly recommend.

Not cheap but good. You pay what you would at a dealer likely but you actually get what you pay for. They are thorough, well trained, and complete the work on time and are easy to get ahold of. If you want cheaper labor you may want to go elsewhere but if you want peace of mind the job is done right they are worth it. They have been good to me and easy to work with.

Honest auto shop... the only place I trust with my sons car!

With nearly, if not all 5 star reviews I had high expectations for this place and they were certainly met. I just got my truck out of the shop today and at a much quicker rate than I expected. My truck went out on Tuesday and Im getting it back on Friday, that being said they didnt even get to looking at it til Wednesday morning. They were extremely quick and had great communication. Michael called me along every step of the rate. I usually call around and look for cheapest prices, but I felt very comfortable right from the start so I didnt even bother to do this. Right from the beginning the lady who helped me out when I first arrived was so kind. The waiting area and shop office in general was very nice and much unlike your typical auto shop. They put your car in behind gates at night for safety, they have 16 bays and 7 mechanics so work gets done quick and their customer service was top of the line. Wont even think about going anywhere else next time!

By far the best auto-repair shop in Austin. I worked with Michael and he was extremely transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. They were able to fix the issues I was having at a fraction of the cost I was expecting to pay. I was referred to AutoTek for an alignment after getting new tires across the street, and needed some other repairs as well. I spoke often with Michael, Aaron, and David throughout my repairs and they were so incredibly kind, warm, and informative. Having just moved to Austin, I needed to find an auto repair business for a car emergency. I found Auto Tek through reviews and suggestions on FaceBook. They are amazing! A little history - I took my Infiniti to a dealer 3 weeks prior to replace the AC compressor. Well, the tech forgot to replace the O-ring and the freon leaked out. Aaron at Auto Tek was great to talk with when I called and they were able to get me in in 3 days.Once my car was there they did a full diagnostic check only to find that some other work that that the dealer was supposed to have done, was not done. They sent me a very detailed document through email and a text, which was very easy to sift through and Aaron also called me to go over it. Amazing customer service!When I picked my car up, it was ready, they went over everything they did, and had someone sanitize my car, because it is Covid and a nice thing to do, before I got in it.I cannot say enough great things about Aaron and the team at Auto Tek. Thank you! You have a client for life.

I typically loathe having to take my car in for repairs due to bad experiences and having been overcharged in the past. I brought my car in for replacement of a serpentine belt and an oil change. I have never had a more pleasant experience with any other auto repair shop. The whole job cost me 1/5 what I had been quoted at other repair places, and the service team was informative and professional. I will be taking all of my cars here from now on.

Ive been taking my truck to Auto Tek since I moved to Austin about 4 years ago and have nothing but good things to say about this business. I can always trust them to be upfront and honest with me about charges and repairs and they have even gone as far as helping me save money when spending is unnecessary. I sent one friend here after a different business tried to charge them $1650 for a false alarm! My girlfriend also brings her truck into Auto Tek and they take great care of her vehicle. It is truly a blessing to have people I trust work on my truck.

This place was just recommend to me by a friend who has been comi here for 7 years. Having recently moved to Austin myself and not establishing a rapport with a mechanic, I am so glad I found a place to recommend as well. Audrey came to my rescue this evening not knowing what was wrong with my car. There were no appointments today, but managed to squeeze me in 40 minutes before close to do a diagnosis test, and then had the mechanic even though he was getting ready to leave. This eliminated me trying to figure out a way to get home tonight, not trusting my car would turn on tomorrow. After having a few repairs completed on two of my cars with Auto Tek, I could not agree more with the positive 5 star reviews from many of their clients. Their pricing is fair and transparent. They do their best to keep the repair fees at a minimum while still providing outstanding service. Even after the repairs are completed, they later call you to check in and verify that everything was still working properly and to your liking. Everyone you encounter at Auto Tek is very friendly and willing to help. If you need work done on your auto, I highly recommend Auto Tek!! AutoTek is a great gem in South Austin. You can always depend on great service with every employee here. They provide you with updates throughout the repair of your vehicle. My rust-bucket has had to have many repairs...I had it at one shop and they couldnt fix it....I took it to Auto Tek and they had no problem. I read the reviews...heres the deal. You gotta make an appointment. Why? Cause they are organized and dont make promises they cant keep. When I first drove up I thought to myself, man, these guys must be charging a lot to have a place this nice but realistically they dont. They are extremely fair if not cheap. I had some warranty work done which usually becomes low priority...but with Auto Tek they got me fixed in & out without any hassle. Every guy you talk to there is awesome, friendly and helpful. I gave this place a shot in the dark, but I am more than pleased with them so far. They have really outstanding service and all were very friendly. They made the proper repairs, with great communication and even followed up to make sure the repairs were satisfactory a week or two later. Very impressed so far. Will be going back for any needed maintenance moving forward.

The nearly five star review is 100% accurate. I had a low brake fluid light go off, and requested just my brakes to be checked. They did a full inspection, fixed my windshield wiper at no cost, and identified it wasnt my brakes at all, but a lovely critter getting my car and chewing through wires! They provide all their findings in a STELLAR online report, including pictures, what passed, what will need future attention, and what needs immediate attention. Michael called me and was so friendly and personal, gave me timelines, and explained the issue and work needed. There was zero attempt to upsell or add any service on, which is so important to me.The work was finished early and under what I expected to cost. When I picked my volvo up, the weather was much cooler and caused my coolant low to go off. Michael ran out and checked and filled it on the spot!!! I am so glad I came here on a friends recommendation, I will absolutely only come here as long as Im in Austin!

Brought a car in I knew wasnt in the best condition, they gave me a detailed inspection of the car with pictures provided through a online Link describing everything they found, called me shortly after and gave me their honest opinion on how to proceed without changing me anything. I moved from NY to Austin about 4 months ago, and have had my Jeep for over 7 years now. When I moved to Austin I wanted to get a simple check of the brakes. I was told that the repair was going to be nearly $900 and that they simply refused to fix my car. However I brought it to another mechanic and was able to get it fixed within one day for $400. Not sure if this was pure laziness or if they simply have no experience with rust. Either way I wouldn’t recommend.

So thankful to have AutoTek right around the corner from my house. My partner and I have used their services for a few years now for various issues and have never been disappointed.Whether its check engine light issues, AC problems, headlight adjustments, to more complicated issues - AutoTek has taken care of us. Their pricing is reasonable and work is completed on time as promised. I had an issue with my AC and we could never get to the bottom of it. I appreciate that AutoTek didnt charge for the diagnostics or try to get me to do unnecessary work.Additionally, we appreciate the friendly and awesome customer service that we have received from Aaron and Michael. Not to mention they have both worked at AutoTek for years which tells me it must be a great place to work. A couple of times a year we will receive a friendly text from Aaron just checking in to make sure our Jeeps are running smoothly.On my last visit to AutoTek I accidentally hit a small curb in the parking lot (eek!), knocking the plastic grille off of my Jeep - they gladly fixed that while I was there.AutoTek is our only choice for our auto mechanic needs!! Very quick service, under the quoted time. Even did a couple extra things (topped off wiper fluid, filled tires) for no extra charge. Everyone I spoke with was extremely pleasant, didnt try to upsell anything, and recommended a place to get my registration done quicker. I’d had a good Volkswagen maintenance experience and wanted to find that same expertise and customer service closer to home. After research and reading lots of reviews, Auto-Tek seemed the best choice. That was over three years ago and I’ve never been disappointed.Their prices have always been fair and their estimates right on the money with total transparency in their billing and service. I appreciate the warm sincerity they show their customers, as well as their honesty. An example of this is when, instead of making a repair I had requested, they told me I should take the car to a dealer because it was an item that would render any remaining warranty invalid if they repaired it. And they never fail to check in with me a few days after I’ve had my car serviced to find out if everything is working as it should.Enough said, but I have to add that this family owned business exemplifies how great things can be when a good team is backed by professionalism and excellent service.Obviously, I highly recommend Auto-Tex!

On my first repair the cost came in under the estimate by a few dollars and they informed me and charged the lesser amount. Generally I try and maintain our vehicles however once an issue was over my head I desperately needed to find a trustworthy, and great quality mechanic. Thankfully a friend recommended Auto Tek! Aaron and his team have great interpersonal skills which left me feeling as if they generally care and want to help you get back on the road as quickly and affordable as possible. They kept me updated throughout the entire process. I never once had to call or bother them for updates. Once they found the issues I was charged a fair price. I look forward to picking up our vehicle having the confidence that the job was done right.

I feel bad for writing a negative review because the people are really nice, but I feel like I need to share some thoughts. First, I was quoted $100 for the best case scenario and was told it would only take “a little over an hour and a half” (it was one thing that needed to be fixed). I only have the one car, and I’m also a young mom with a 1 year old. I decided to go on a walk with my son and wait for my car since I was told it wasn’t going to take too long. After being out and about on a walk for two hours I come back and wait for another 30 minutes. I finally ask for an update and find out that the mechanic has been on a lunch break for 30 minutes and still has another 30 minutes. So I’m waiting for an extra hour while he eats lunch, when at this point the job should’ve already been completed. When we are 3 1/2 hours in, i’m told that the best case scenario was able to happen and we should be on our way soon. At hour 4 they finally checked me out, but they charge me $200 instead of the $100 I was quoted. When I brought it up he told me that you know this is the price for the best case scenario even though I was quoted something different. It took twice as long as I expected, they charge me twice as much as I was quoted, and I had to do all this while trying to entertain my one year old in a very non-baby proof place. I also ended up having to change his diaper on the bathroom floor since there was nowhere else for me to do that. I will say, I really wanted to have a positive experience but I just feel sick about it. I’m sorry to say, but I will probably not go here again.

We discovered Autotek when neighbor after neighbor recommended them on Next Door. We have not been disappointed. We have taken two of our cars to Autotek. The thorough analysis that they do is second to none. There are pictures showing actual test results and parts needing repair. At our last visit the analysis included 3 pictures of a rodent nest on top of the transmission and the damage the critter had done. Michael, Aaron and Andreah are wonderful. We wont go any place else. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

I am a big fan of Auto Tek. The main thing is that they do great work and are honest. Last week I brought my car in and it turned out that it needed a new transmission. They contacted the dealer on there own and organized the repair so it cost me nothing. It was under a warranty that I didnt even know about. They do the right thing for there customers.

My Jeep broke down on me and I ended up needing another engine. Aaron and the guys at Autotek did a great job. Aaron was thorough with his explanations and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Great place and its definitely a place that Id recommend to anyone. I drove in to Austin from Chicago and I realized I had a coolant leak. I went here because of their glowing reviews on google and yelp - and I have to say - They live up to these fantastic reviews! Super friendly, they delivered my car to me early and for way less than I thought I would pay. They were straight forward, no upselling, all their pricing on labor and parts were more than fair. Cant recommend enough. They made my day!

This place is great! They replaced the starter in my Acura. The customer service is excellent. Aaron was the man that had worked on my car and he was very knowledgeable and honest. I will definitely bring my car back here. My boyfriend recommended this place to me originally and said that his UT criminology professor had recommended it to the class. Said it was the most honest place to go in Austin, where you wont get ripped off in quality of service or prices charged.

These guys are honest and knowledgeable. I had the best experience with them. I had no idea what was wrong with my car and believe me I would have paid anything to get it fixed. They diagnosed it and the total cost of repair was under $100. I will now make this my regular repair shop.

Ever since the first day I walked into Auto Tek I have not forgotten the handshake I received from Aaron 5 years ago. It was soul lifting, inspiring, and firm. The customer service in this place is through the roof and even though I moved away almost three years ago I have not forgotten about Auto Tek. I only wish they would open up another location in Durango, Colorado. I highly recommend this trustworthy shop to anyone.

Their customer service is amazing, they are honest, fast, and always keep me informed with progress. They have even offered me a ride home if I’m in a jam. Everyone who works here is so honest and knowledgeable. As a woman I have never had the feeling that they were giving me the run around or that they were trying to do more than necessary. I always receive a follow-up call a few days after the service was completed to make sure that everything is still in good working order. They really treat everyone like family.

I got my alignment here recommended by the discount tires across the street. I made an appointment in advance and when I showed up the man was very professional and polite. It took a little over an hour. They have a great lounge with free coffee and TV. At check out they described everything they did and I can already feel the difference at the wheel. I highly recommend for alignments.

When you need a mechanic that will walk you through the problem, let you know if its critical or just a nice to know thing, do great work, and follow up later to make sure its still going this is your place. Wont be taking my car elsewhere unless I absolutely have to.

This was my first experience with this business. I decided on Auto Tek after being with my last mechanic for 25 years, who is now under new management with disappointing result. I did a lot of review reading before deciding to go with Auto Tek, the reviews were impressive. My experience today was wonderful! I had several mechanical issues that I wanted addressed and they did not disappoint. Communication was great, they explained issues in detail and they made sure they set expectations realistically. Oh, and my car drives like it is brand new again.

I bounced around mechanics shops in Austin for awhile, and am very grateful to have found AutoTek 10+ years ago. I get attached to my vehicles and like them to last. These guys not only regularly provide great service and a more than fair price, but they help me accurate predict when and how much I’ll likely need to spend on my trucks in the future to allow me to properly budget and account for them. Won’t ever take my vehicles anywhere else as long as they’re in business.
