Great customer service, the young guy went above and beyond to help me get the part I needed for my hvac. Thanks so much to him and this company for their help. Highly recommend them!
I am beginning to be very frustrated. I paid for a refrigerator two months ago, and was told it would be mid-June before at arrived. In mid-June, I was told it will be July 13. On Saturday I called to find that the new delivery date is August 31 - thats more than a month away. I understand that there are supply chain issues, but I could have purchased the same product from another dealer like Lowes and would have it by now (admittedly for more $$).The real frustrating thing is that Appliance Associates has not bothered to inform me about delays - I have to call and ask. Also, they dont follow through on promises: The lady said she would call the manufacturer to check on it Monday (yesterday), and would call me to let me know the status. She has not called me back.
Knowledgeable, friendly, and personable staff. Very helpful. Professional.
If you are looking for a local business to buy a new washer and dryer then give this place a shot.If you are looking for parts make sure you start the conversation with the model of the device and not the part.I spent most of today searching around Austin for some parts for an old GE dryer.I found the part elsewhere in Austin for less than Appliance Associates. Then came the job of replacing the 30a fuse. When I called and asked if they sold the fuse they said no. I called back and gave the dryer model and they said they did have it but it was 35 dollars and it would come in a few days.A package of 5 on Amazon was 38 dollars. Now I don’t blame them for the price point on things like this. It makes sense that they make money on charging parts on repair orders. Just know if there is a part that you can find elsewhere you should seek elsewhere. The salesperson was super great and informative! In short if you want to support a in the neighborhood family business come here!Below is a picture of the “new” and “old” part.If you try to ask for a part like this by reading this label you will be unsuccessful. Instead tell them your dryer model first.
Weve purchased multiple appliances from Appliance Associates over the past 10 years and have been completely satisfied both with the items and with their service department. Recently we needed a hard-to-find part for our 20-year old wall oven and they had exactly what we needed. We have always found them to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are very fair and, in this time of so many small businesses having to close, it feels good to support a long-time local business and get reliable appliances and service as well.
Its been two months and I still dont have a dishwasher. It just keeps getting pushed back. The dishwasher was supposed to arrive tomorrow, and I just got notified again that it wont be here anytime soon. It would have been a better experience if more appropriate expectations were set with their customers.
Highly Recommend! No doubt about them! Love the staff!
These guys are life savers! They seem to be the only company left in town that sells HVAC parts to the general public. I was able to save over $500 by replacing some simple parts on my A/C! Their prices are even better than what I could find online and the parts were available same day. The owner leanred it was my first time making this repair and took time to cover the install procedure and common issues. I cant thank them enough and I highly recommend you give them a try!
The people working here are incredibly kind. Thank you for helping me repair my appliance
Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful
Had the part I needed to get my HVAC blower motor replaced and working.Great helpful staff
Most satisfied. We bought a refrigerator from Appliance Associates and I never entered the store. I found the product on line and called and spoke to the nicest people. We discussed the refrigerator and I placed the order. Fortunately it wasnt an emergency replacement, but if it was, they offered a loaner to me.Yesterday, our new refrigerator was delivered to us. The guys called all of our contact numbers until they reached us and told us of their arrival time. We had plenty of time to unload the old and they came at the time promised with our new refrigerator. They removed the old one and set up the new one. Couldnt have been nicer. They are employees with Appliance Associates, not contractors, so they have some skin in the game, which showed. No more big box purchases for me, Im supporting local businesses. Thanks!
Very helpful and friendly staff. I would recommend them.
We had a great experience here and got great advice on which washer and dryer best fit our household. The next day delivery was awesome. Prices are comparable to other places. Much better than shopping a big box store. Don’t be put off by the exterior, this place is a great local business!
I went to three local appliance shops post lockdown and Appliance Associates had the best choices for washing machines, price and delivery date!
We needed to replace our dryer. Checked some big box stores, but since Appliance Associates is near our house, we stopped in. They were super helpful, didnt try to upsell us, and the prices were the same as Big Box inc. They even lent us a dolly so we could unload the dryer at our house.Stop by and check them out, you wont regret it.
Mediocre website and phone service.
When looking for a refrigerator/freezer, I presented Kirk with my list of requirements and he thought for a moment, then asked me to wait for a few minutes while he went into the warehouse. About nine minutes later he invited me to take a look, and there before me was my dream machine. He knew exactly what I wanted, had it in stock, and (after I had told him I would take it,) charged me a very competitive price for a high quality refrigerator. I look forward to using it for the rest of my life. This is only one of several purchases I have made from Appliance Associates, all of which have been most satisfactory.Kirk also helps with parts when maintenance or repairs are necessary.
Hidden Gem. Been driving past their unassuming shop on Romeria since I moved into the neighborhood 15 years ago... I just discovered them when I bought a scratch and dent GE for my home 3 months ago. When I thought the GE was going bad (it stopped cooling). I called them to complain and they immediately scheduled a GE cert. tech. to come fix... BUT it would be 7 days before they would come out.... SO, Appliance Associates offered to bring me a loaner fridge the next day, at no charge. Later that day I figured out that the GE wasnt cooling because I left the freezer door slightly open and the vents got frosted over... cleared the frost... all is good. Cancelled loaner fridge. I just revisited Appliance Associates today to buy a fridge for a rental property of mine. Quick, easy, professional.
At this point, I think all of our appliances have been purchased here. The service is always excellent and their prices are very competitive. I cant recommend them enough.
I was very pleased with my experience with Appliance Associates. They were polite and quick on the phone. When I went to pick up the part I needed, I asked a question about the part. The man helping me answered my questions respectfully. Being a female, I get a lot of men in various repair industries that treat me like I dont have a thought in my head, much less be able to understand how to do a repair on my own. I was very please with Appliance Associates and will definitely do business with them in the future.
Got a great deal on my refrigerator and 2 years later I still love it. They were busy when I went in to look, but they did take the time to explain everything, and set up delivery. When it arrived, it wouldnt fit past the island in the kitchen, and he offered to send out a smaller model. But my neighbor found 3 strong men who were able to lift it over the island. Great customer service Im happy I went there.
I bought a fridge and after couple months did not worked properly. The deal was, in order to fix that fridge the pieces I had to pay. The hole deal cost more than the hole fridge. Not worded the effort, money etc. I end up to buy a new one which worked great.
Oh my gosh SO happy I found my way to this place! Incredible customer service and very knowledgeable. They delivered and installed the same day. Absolutely recommend, so much better than the big box stores!
Kirk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone!
They know about the discontinued Thermador knobs being reproduced and sold on eBay!
Nightmare of an experience. The sales process was smooth and informative. Kirk the son of the company founder was very helpful. Although possibly misleading in the choice of brand. I purchased a GE washing machine and dryer set for about $1,800. Thats where the good news ends. The team who was sent to setup the washing machine and dryer made a mistake and the connection from the water hose to the washing machine was dripping. I did not notice that until two days later. By then water had trickled under the wall into the next room and soaked into the hardwood flooring. That turned into a messy calls and visits with Ed (founder of the company). Two weeks later and I am still dealing with their insurance company. At the same time the GE set I purchased from them had a failure. The washer makes a loud rattling noise during the wash cycle. Several calls and a visit by a GE technician have not resolved it. The GE technician came by, looked at it for 15 minutes and declared there was nothing wrong. After this I called and asked Ed to just return the set and replace with a better brand. Same thing I would do if I purchased from Home Depot. The answer was that its not that easy and I need to be more patient. It could take another few weeks and nothing they could do about it.We will see how this story ends, but its definitely not how I imagined it would go thus far.
Im glad I was able to get a dryer and not have to wait a week. My husband went out there and picked it up and was home in a hour. Thank you Kirk for your help no more laundromats for me. SP
I have been using these guys for almost 15 years. They are a family run business that will take great care of you. The deals you can find are fantastic and the service is even better!
Every time I call over there I’ll get hanged up from Ruthann she hangs up on me don’t call over there no more They are not worth the trouble
Great customer service. Had a service call out to our house, the tech was super friendly, and helped us out of a tight spot. Would definitely recommend you take a look.
I have been using this family owned business for 25 years for my business and personal appliances. They have excellent customer service and honor their word on all commitments. Kirk is my go to guy !
Buyer Beware, Was constantly promised a Speed Queen Washer over 3 months time. Constantly heard that it would be in next week. Employee Kirk blamed the delay on distribution problems, Speed Queen, his warehouse, etc, etc, etc.Caught Kirk lying to me when another employee told me the truth. Bought washing machine from another company.
Definitely not a shop to go to for parts. Came in looking for a really common part for my dishwasher on the recommendation of a professional. He assured me that they have stuff in stock because they do a brisk repair trade. The salesman wouldnt even hear me out before he said I needed to special order it, and bring in my dishwasher model number etc. Just plain shut me down about spare parts. No thank you.
Had to wait 15 minutes after they were supposed to open before they actually did, which was annoying. However Kirk helped me get the parts I need to repair my ac.
Looked on line had 6 gas dryers I was interested in and they had what I was looking for at a great price took it home Kirk was great thank you for your assistance. KP
Appliance Associates earns Five Stars for beating the big box store’s product knowledge, price tag, delivery time, installation methods, and best of all, Appliance Associates answers their phone! Kirk’s patient and professional guidance through my recent gas dryer purchase has ensured his store a repeat customer.
No electric Part Return policy!I bought a capacitor which is very overpriced ($76) supposly $30 elsewhere per their recommendation. However since I hooked up the wire to the part, they cant take it back and saying its not their fault, so cant help it Extremely rude and arrogant people! This kind of store should be out!!See!No return policy! No customer service!Theres nothing you can do, Kirk!I want my money back and you have to stop overcharging the customers!!!
Straight talk. Good deals. Delivery!
Honest and helpful. Speedy delivery.
I purchased a new 2018 speed-queen washer/dryer set from this vendor and it has failed two times in less six months (lid lock issue). Appliance Associates told me that they have no obligation to replace or refund it which I find to be completely unacceptable considering Ive had washer/dryers that lasted 10 plus years with no issue. They suggested we call every time it fails. The first time it took them over a week to send a technician. It also took them 20 minutes to answer the phone when they opened on both occasions! I wanted to return a deffective appliance but their solution was to keep sending someone to repair it till the warranty ran out. AVOID this place and Speed Queen at all costs!! Rude employees, bad costumer service and defective products.
Bought a refrigerator. They hooked it up wrong and leaked under my cabinets they refused to take any responsibility for it 190$ for Plummer and we have to pull all the kitchen cabinets out and part of the wall for water damage. They offered a discount on next purchase. Not interested in doing any more business here.
Always helpful.
My man Kirk Rivas, I may not live in Austin, but I bet you have machines that are quality at a good price. Not just washing machines.
Kirk the transformer worked thanks for your help!
Always a pleasure doing business with.
A speed queen retailer with awesome service!
Great place
They do not service if you live in an apartment that is upstairs.
