Everything was good, she made sure that I could see before I left. she was kind and she was patient and she was just her she was easy to talk to about my eye issues! I really enjoyed my visit. No other place that I’ve been to that fitted me for contacts and rechecked my eyes before I left to be sure that it was the right Prescription before I left.

I had about three communications with Family Eye Care Center leading up to my appointment. Darian was the first person I spoke with, and most of my interactions were with her. Let me say, she does a great job representing the establishment.On the phone and in person, the staff was warm, patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered - and they can get extensive, yall - and I walked away with some really nice glasses! They (primarily Darian) really took time helping me pick them out, and it was fun when others on the team would weigh in with their opinions and the reasons behind them. It wasnt just, Those look cute. It was holistic feedback. And oh, after my appointment, another employee walked me outside to give me directions to someplace else I needed to get to in the vicinity. Just wow!I saved this one for last because leadership really does set the tone for a business. Dr. Locke is very bright, passionate about her work, sensitive, and respectful of her patients. I enjoyed getting to know her, and she made me feel right at home. Everyone is welcome. This is the type of place where youre like, Has a year rolled around again so I can go to Family Eye Care Center? You just want to be there. Dr. Locke is so kind and patient and did an amazing job of explaining things to my six year old before the exam so that she would not be nervous. The staff is friendly and helpful and they definitely understand kids here! I have used their vision therapy with my older child, and with stellar results. I have now switched to being a patient here as well. It is so convenient that we can bring the whole family to one place. And I never have a long wait to be seen, like so many other eye doctors in town that I have seen in the past. I highly recommend!

This is my 3rd consult for vision therapy and when I say this is the most knowledge and insight I’ve received regarding my situation, I mean it. Dr. Locke is the only one to explain my situation to where it made sense to me. I can tell she actually cares and is very passionate.She’s the only one that asked for scans and records to research before just writing up a generic plan for me.I felt like an individual.She wants to set my expectation and educate me and I truly appreciate it. It jas it’s been so frustrating and most people have not cared to look further into my situation outside of my initial exam with them.Her staff is so nice and friendly. Great customer service and upbeat.I’ve been there twice so far and each time they’ve been super nice and efficient.

I have never been to eye appointment and it be so pleasant. Ive never had an optometrist explain what and why they were doing things. They just did it and I went along. I just wish I was able to go to my regular. DO NOT RECOMMEND AS THERE ARE FARRRR BETTER AVAILABLE. The prescription strength I was fitted for was the worst I’ve had!! It’s been nearly 2 weeks since I made the mistake of choosing to be seen here and I still don’t have a final prescription. Never have I ever experienced this. Will never come here and recommend no else does as well!! Only reason I’m still dealing with this office is because I self paid.Update - was able to be examined by another local doctor on 05/14/21 who not only fitted me in a great new prescription but also was able to resolve my issue, ordered some new eyeglasses, and finalized everything the same day!!

After living with very degraded eyesight in my left eye today I received the awesome news that I may be able to improve my sight. Dr. Locke and her wonderful staff are the best! My 3 year old has Autism and I wanted to find a place that would meet his comfort levels and this place has done that and beyond from the personal detail of putting on something he watches to make him comfortable to talking to him at eye level and taking there time if you have special needs children and want them to be shown the most love and compassion and attention to detail bring them here !

My son had been coming here for the past two months and we have seen a marked improvement in his reading performance. The staff there are professional courteous and extremely attentive to my sons needs. He enjoys coming for therapy and is happy with the experience every time we leave. My daughter comes along to the appointments as well and the staff makes her feel welcome by giving her things to do to occupy her time while we wait for my son. I went in there recently and I can say that I am going to be going here for all my eye-care needs from now on. The staff was so friendly and nice when I first went for a eye check up so I can get my glasses. They were also very helpful when it came to picking a frame for my lenses and have so many different styles. I also felt very safe when walking in. The staff was wearing mask and they do a call to ask questions about coronavirus before you walk in as well as they check your temperature when you walk in. They explain everything clearly and will answer any questions you may have. Overall it was a great experience and I will be back for future appointments.

They ensure an extremely limited amount of patients in the office at any given time, are highly attentive, take the time to explain each process and are great at what they do. Dr. Locke has fit my sensitive eyes with the best contact lenses for multiple years now and I am forever grateful.

My daughter (non-verbal/autistic) had 2 visits w/ Dr. Locke. The first was great and we were asked to come back in a few weeks to dilate her eyes and finish this initial exam (as the Dr. did not want to make her upset on her first visit with dilation). We came back a few weeks later and the experience was TOTALLY different. They were 20 minutes late bringing us back without any explanation and then during the appointment there was no dilation or mention of it. Instead they attempted to conduct a few therapy based tests with my daughter but she was so upset (she was getting fussy having to wait in the lobby area) she wasnt participating and the whole appointment was a waste of time. Halfway through trying to get my daughter to cooperate, Dr. Locke just left the room and left her assistant to finish. I never even talked to her again. After I threw in the towel on these exercises (since she wasnt doing anything they asked her and was crying visibly upset) I was told again that they wanted us to come back in in a few more weeks. Worst off I was charged $160 for this appointment and told it was a therapy visit.I emailed them afterwards to try and get some clarification about what the plan would be moving forward for my daughter and I STILL have not heard a word back.I was very excited about this service because Id read great reviews about their care with special needs children but I was incredibly disappointed with their communication and overall customer service. I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Locke is AMAZING!! She chose the exact right name for her office because she treats us like family. All three of us (husband, wife and six year old daughter) set one huge appointment annually, and it’s like going to a major event. I think my daughter, now, wants to become an eye doctor because of Dr. Locke’s influence—a very cool revelation to share on International Women’s Day. Dr. Locke is loving, gentle, knowledgeable (beyond the scope of the average optometrist) and extremely thorough. If there is an issue or potential issue, she makes it her mission to find resolutions and treatments. I regularly see special needs children visiting her office, which speaks to the level of knowledge and patience her entire office staff delivers to all clients. I highly recommend Dr. Locke. I’m excited about our new professional connection and love that my daughter will potentially have the opportunity to grow up under her tutelage and influence.

In all of my years of eye exams I have never had such thorough exams!!! I received explanations that have never been explained!! Dr. Locke and her staff are amazing!! Never rushed and time was spent.

My son has autism and this place is heaven sent! He complained of eye pain off and on for the past year, I took him to his PCM several times, and they didnt find anything, or just marked him as un-examinable due to his autism. Here the doctor was kind, patient and knew how to work with him so that she could do a proper eye exam. Turns out he needs glasses. The staff was wonderful! Even during his breakdown, they didnt judge me, and assisted me in helping my son find the perfect frames. The kind gestures go along way and is appreciated! I would recommend this place to anyone, and especially if you have a love one with a disability.I hope this helps someone, and is a small encouragement for someone that is looking for a special eye care place, as I did.

The doctor had a virtual appointment with me on a Saturday. She has been the only one who understood my illness. She was conservative and Dr, Locke showed a lot of interested to make me feel better. This was the first time I saw her and she will be be my doctor as well as my whole family’s doctor. Thank you Dr Locke for being so knowledgeable, honest and kind.

Excellent customer service and customer care. My son and I had an appointment on a Saturday so it was pretty slow. They treated my son like a King. He even got a chance to pick out his own glasses. I know this might not be a big deal to most, but to a four year old, its everything. Thanks ladies.

Dr Locke is very professional, but it took 2.5 weeks to get a return phone call for glasses I noticed immediately I couldnt see our of. I was told it would take 2-3 days to get used to the prescription, after the required time I still couldnt see properly, today 2.3 weeks later, family eye care centers call to me went to my voicemaiI, I attempted to return this voicemail for 2 hours. Staff is friendly but super fake and prioritize clients with a not so friendly method, or urgency. Youd think after paying over $800 cash for eyeglasses youd be able to have the bifocals adjust correctly before the warranty on the thing expires. Very frustrated & disappointed. Not saying its the worst CX service. But definitely not the best, during this pandemic.

Dr. Locke is by the far the best optometrist Ive seen. I felt silly explaining some of the vision problems I was having because previous doctors have had no solutions. Dr Locke accurately and quickly diagnosed my vision issues and now I dont have ANY of the weird eye problems I was experiencing. The staff is super kind and helpful. I recently contacted this office to set up a new patient eye exam. The personnel on the phone took the time not only to check my insurance but to walk me through process. Although I was disappointed to find out my insurance is out-of-network with this practice, she still provided me with options to receive the eye care I need. Unlike other places, I was not dismissed as soon as it was discovered my insurance was not accepted. The young lady was very warm and welcoming.

Took my 2yo & 4yo here for their first exam. I was nervous initially because they are both on the autism spectrum and most of their other dr visits didn’t go well. But I was pleasantly surprised. Even though they were in a new space they listened and cooperated better than I expected. The office was clean and quiet. And the everyone was so nice and professional. It was an awesome experience.
