Lucky to get parking, got there when they opened. Staff was kind. Pastries and quality of coffee was ok. I prefer stronger/smooth espresso hot or cold coffee. Nothing they did wrong its just the coffee...unless you like mellow undertone taste its the place to be. Maybe next time Ill add an extra shot.

They only service take out at this point for now, but questioning where to park 🤔⁉️ even if they table service. 🤔😁Its pricey💲 for their special brew like Tumeric chai ☕ and Matcha 🍵with choices of coconut 🥥, almond, milk, or plant based foam. And the foams are fabulous. The pastry choices are also quite impressive. Blueberry scones, muffins, fluffy bisque and croissant are looking great.

I always have a great experience here. I love the shop’s atmosphere, even in this time of social distancing. Virginia Highlands is a lovely neighborhood with lovely people. Because P&G partners with Highland Bakery, the baked goods here are always fresh and delicious. The menu is diverse and accommodating of every want or need from a customer.

First of all, the space is beautiful and unique- dramatic vaulted ceiling with plenty of natural light and modern yet tasteful furniture. The coffee is good and the food options are extensive - I had a cheese and egg biscuit that was all made from scratch. You’re definitely going to get more than your standard pastry. That said, they do have an impressive pastry/desert display. The location is delightful - tucked away just off the main drag of “downtown” Virginia Highlands and between their lot and street parking, I’ve never had a problem driving there. As a personal anecdotal side, one morning I was there I was dressed nicely and was trying not to get my egg and cheese biscuit on my clothes. I was using small cocktail napkins from the prep station on my lap to catch crumbs, and one of the ladies working there noticed and brought me a full sized dinner napkin. I was very impressed by this gesture and attention I felt I was receiving as a customer.

This would be a nice place to sit outside at their tables but for the stench of urine. This patio has been the sleeping spot for the homeless and so it smells, badly. Also, the parking: Press and Grind should remove the parking spots and put tables, planters, umbrellas etc. there. That would vastly improve the experience and the overall street-scape.Finally, the seating area outside the cafe is dirty: The tables, chairs and ground are covered with litter and last years leaves.Management: Please, put a little effort into turning this neighborhood cafe into a glowing gem. Currently, its a merely a mediocre convenience, not a desirable destination.

This place is great for all the right reasons. Staff are always very kind, quick, and focused on quality. If you go more than twice ever, theyll probably remember your name and say hi each time they see you. The interior setting is awesome, bright, clean and has good vibes. If youre looking for a really good smoothie then go for the Chocolate Elvis. Press and Grind is a great place.

Press and Grind has a very nice atmosphere and is kept very clean and stays fairly quiet inside with ample seating, there is patio seating out front. The coffee was pretty good, definitely better then any chain brand but not the best in Atlanta either. The mini donuts were delicious; they have a cinnamon apple flavor to them and are worth getting if youre there. They also have many other pastries and a few sandwiches if you want an actual meal. The baristas at Press and Grind were all very nice and friendly and even caught on to me and a friend discussing the keto coffee they have on the menu. This made up for the lack of latte art on our drinks; they were to-go with lids on so its forgivable.

I also ordered a protein smoothie which was pretty good as well. I didnt realize they had breakfast sandwiches and stuff bc I really didnt see a menu and I felt weird to ask but then a customer came in and ordered a breakfast sandwich so I assume they serve some level of food too? This is my 4th visit and it’s been great until now. This place is disgusting. The floor and two tables are dirty. There’s two employees here and no one is cleaning the dining room. I had to clean my own table and when I sat down there’s crumbs and trash all under my feet from the previous guests. Two tables are dirty in the middle and although I want to sit I can’t sit in filth.I brought this to the attendant of the restaurant and all they said was, “we’re understaffed and going to get to it.” Really? I’ve been in the industry for years and that’s never been an excuse.I wonder what happened to the other ladies that worked here....

Staff is very friendly BUT...Coffee is decent although often warm and not hot. The bitterness isnt smooth but the Espresso is much better. Pastries and other food were 4 stars for a coffee shop. There’s a definite need for vegan options other than the almond bar and different milk choices. The baristas are ringing up varying prices for the only sandwich I can order there since I have to customize it. Though I don’t appreciate Lisa abruptly leaving an interview just to check how much I paid for my sandwich (for my second visit in a row) the establishment itself is still beautiful. A consistent menu with vegan options would be great for your future customers.

Its really nice to have a coffee shop in this neighborhood, I just wish it were a better one. Ive been three times (simply because of the convenience) and been unimpressed each time. They use the same roasters as Dancing Goats but somehow the coffee here isnt nearly as good as theirs. My lattes here have been bitter each time. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The inside is cute and welcoming but the music is too loud to read or work unless you wear headphones. Their location is the best thing about them, but that at least counts for something.

Review №66

I loved the space and got really excited about the idea of making this my new go-to spot for reading and working, but changed my mind after my first visit was disappointing. The food selection is good, but the prices were high given that the service, though mostly friendly, was poor and uncoordinated. I ordered a latte (in my own travel mug), a pound of coffee beans, and a ham & cheese croissant. The staff member who processed my payment just walked away once the sale went through. When the other staff member prepared my drink she not only made the wrong one (a mocha), but then remade the drink in a paper cup because the first staff member forgot to tell her about my mug (she dumped it into my travel mug once I pointed out that she still had it behind the counter, but the paper cup was still wasted in the process). She also didnt know about my croissant (probably because the staff who rang in my purchase didnt mention it or retrieve it for me when I was paying), and then, when I did get it, it was only warmed on the outside (the ham inside was ice cold). Two of the staff seemed very friendly and helpful, but overall this was a really disappointing visit.I tried to email this feedback to the company rather than post it publicly, but their website still says Coming December 2015.
