Great coffee shop in East Atlanta Village. I loved their rice krispy treat and as coffee addicts, my girlfriend said their coffee was in the top 5 of all time, that says a lot! Great curbside pickup option as well. Fast, clean and friendly. Can’t wait to visit here again!

Such a cute place!!! Staff is fast and friendly, coffee is fantastic, and (if this is the right location) there is a free food pantry outside (WITH A FRIDGE!!) for those in need! Cute art for sale inside, too. Theres a pretty spacious seating area inside that looks cozy, but its currently barricaded due to COVID. There are a couple seats outside though. Cant wait till the pandemic is under control so I can safely go hang out at Hodgepodge 🥰

The meat pies are nothing short of amazing. If you eat meat, the beef is the best and the chicken curry is a close second. The cheddar biscuits are also delicious. They have a lot of fantastic looking pastries as well. Ive just never had them. Great coffee selection and many decaf options, which is sometimes hard to find. It takes a while to wait on the coffee. It isnt a fast process, but its really yummy. Currently, while you wait, you cant start eating your food. You have to wait until you leave. They havent really gotten the CDC memo that vaccinated people can safely not wear masks now. You WILL be abruptly scolded if you remove mask, take a bite of food, then put mask back on regardless of appropriate social distance. It isnt allowed. They do provide masks upon entering, which is nice. Perhaps their staff isnt vaccinated or theyre concerned about public perception, but that mask policy is still hard core despite present CDC guidelines. No indoor seating yet either, obviously. Its a cool place and is all about community and its a kind atmosphere. Cool merch too!

Staff is fun and the coffee is good. Cheap books and fun knickknacks can also be found here. Heads up that the Batdorf and Bronson brew is on the darker side; I’d recommend the mocha caliente. The Jamaican patties are made in house and you shouldn’t skip them. The bagels are from emerald city, and honestly, you shouldn’t skip those either. Grab a loyalty card because you’ll be back.

Decent coffee and beverage options. Food is good. The folding chairs are uncomfortable. It’s usually really busy so it may be hard to find a power outlet. I would suggest they run power out to their big dining table.*•Has been addressed by Hodgepodge* As someone who likes to hunker down for a few hours to work, the biggest complaint for me is the room temperature. If you like your coffee shops on this cooler side, this is not the place for you. I was breaking a sweat after an hour, drinking only iced beverages. It’s kind of stuffy in here, and there are not fans to circulate the air. I found it rather uncomfortable and couldn’t focus on my work.

Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in Atlanta. It feels extremely authentic - not pretentious at all. The exterior always has socially conscious art and murals. The inside has some really nice local artwork available for purchase. The chocolate chip cookie is delicious. And the latte is also really tasty. The space itself is extremely roomy with high ceilings.

We loved Hodgepodge so much that we went twice the same day while staying in Atlanta with family. I had both the lavender and the rose lattes because the syrups are made in house--highly, highly recommend. I wish that we had something similar where I live! The staff were great about making recommendations and transparent about what is made in-house. The environment is great--they have some merchandise that you can look at while waiting for you coffee. They also have some delicious Jamaican patties--I recommend the chicken curry if youre lucky enough to get there before they sell out. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in town.

This coffee house has a very relaxed, artsy, purposefully-shabby vibe. There is tons of space. Their regular drip coffee is fine but I really enjoyed it with steamed oat milk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean (non-gendered if thats important to you) but I could do without the cheesy bathroom wall scribblings. I do think they could do with some more tucked away cozy chair options- most of the seating is in hard chairs around big tables. Good for community, bad for introverts who dislike accidental eye contact with strangers. But still, one of my favorite coffee houses on the south side of Atlanta.

You made and make it available to us 24/7 by leaving it accessable to us and for that for some of us makes the difference in us be hungry or not that day/night. Let me preface by saying - I love the community hodgepodge brings to Atlanta. The owner is so kind, but the employees are cold - what’s up with that? and them allowing free99 fridge to sit as a home base is beautiful.unfortunately, the coffee is consistently bad. I wanted to love hodgepodge so badly, I’ve come in so many times, and I think 2/10 times it’s palatable or brewed properly. The drip is ok. The baristas also move so slow, I’m never in a rush so it doesn’t matter to me, but I live a few houses down from this location and I still drive past to grab my coffee from other local shops. I want to love you soooo badly, god! I don’t understand why the iced coffee tastes overly burnt all the time. I’m unable to taste any notes, i’m not sure if the bean/water/temp is being considered. I can down an iced coffee because no food goes to waste, but I find myself dumping 1/2 down the sink a few hours later. Hodgepodge is also about 20% more expensive than other third wave coffee shops in the Atlanta area. I can’t remember what beans they use, but I can’t justify paying almost $5 for a subpar coffee and $4.50 for a non specialty pastry.I do enjoy their pastries, the cinnamon roll, chocolate chip banana bread, and blueberry crumble really make my day, thank you for busting your behinds to serve our community.I still love you HP

I love this place- roomy bathroom for escorting kids and changing diapers and pull-ups, nice play area for kids while parents converse, study, read, chill, and eat. Nice large round tables for group meetings and discussions. Open space with large windows gives plenty of sun. Jamaican-style veggie and meat patties offer customers vegetarian options for hot food selections. But they also have great pastries. The tea selection is solid, and the coffee is good.

Been in Decatur for over two years but I just now visited this shop for the first time and I mean it when I say that I wish I had gone sooner! This place is so wonderful and inviting. I stopped in after they popped up on my search for where to purchase coffee beans from a black-owned business and of course had to pick up a drink to go. They have all the standard options you would expect but also have quite a few drinks unique to them. I tried the Mocha Caliente with oat milk and it is chefs kiss for sure; definitely would recommend! I did not catch the name of the amazon of a barista but she was absolutely lovely and it was a pleasure chatting it up with you after a long day of work. Will be back soon!
