We worked with Marissa Teschner and had a very positive experience. We had been looking for some time for a pair of easy chairs and had strong preferences for fabric. She helped us find the right fabric which we now have on two extremely comfortable chairs. We are happy with the chairs and with Marissas careful efficiency. Positive evaluation all the way.

We’ve been working with Michele to completely furnish our great room and dining area. She first came to our house to take measurements and talk about our ideas and preferences. After she presented the design and we picked the furniture and fabrics she visited again with all samples so we could be sure all colors match the existing space. I very much liked that Michele was so patient with us. She worked on our design until late in the evening so we could see pictures of changes we made. After we placed our order Michele kept us up to date on the delivery dates for all pieces. Great customer service! Ethan Allen was actually able to improve on all delivery dates originally communicated to us. Delivery drivers are very professional and always on time. Very happy with our experience and looking forward to work on future projects with Michele.

Worked with Drew Weigandt to furnish a newly remodeled living room. He made great suggestions in terms of layout, function and style in keeping with our home. Just took delivery and the look and feel is exactly what we were hoping for...but couldnt have done on our own. Very comfy sofa and rug, that we expect will be durable. Will likely continue working with Drew to complete the room.

We have had the pleasure of working with Marissa Teschner in replacing some rather outdated living room furniture. Not only did Marissa offer suggestions we had not considered, she also pulled versatile fabric samples that will work well with any decor direction we might move to in the future. I was impressed with her willingness to come to our home 40 miles away to do a consult but we were ultimately able to select pieces and fabrics right in the showroom. More importantly, Marissa has kept us updated on the estimated delivery of our new furniture (which is running ahead of schedule - yay!). We are looking forward to the arrival of our new chairs and would happily seek out Marissas expertise again in the future.

We worked with Renee to help design our new family and living room. Renee was 5/5 - she visited our house, evaluated the space and colors, and came up with multiple options based on our preferences. She was responsive to our requests and always promptly returned our emails and calls.Ethan Allen has a nice variety of options but it is not completely customizable, which is why I gave a 4/5 rather than 5/5. Some of their furniture feels too mass produced for the price. We chose the Retreat sectional, Turner swivel chair with ottoman, and Lynn storage ottoman. We love all of them! Renee helped us choose the perfect color and toddler-proof fabric to make an adult and kid friendly family room.We would highly recommend using the design services if you are interested in purchasing EA furniture!

Weve used Ethan Allens design services twice in the past few years for a master bedroom and a great room/kitchen eating area re-do, Drew Weigandt was wonderful to work with. Drew came to our home, listened to our vision for the spaces and then put together plans for our review. He was great to collaborate with and was responsive throughout the design to delivery stage and beyond. The delivery teams also did a good job - each team we encountered were respectful of our home, professional, friendly and on time. We are very pleased with the furniture and highly recommend Ethan Allen for quality service and products.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Drew during the furnishing process of a major remodel at our lake home. We found the selections at the Ann Arbor store to be exceptional. Drew was available to us during multiple visits to the store and helped us coordinate two separate living areas with accessories. Drew also orchestrated the storage and delivery process, as it was impossible for us to take delivery on our purchases until our project was completed-extremely convenient and helpful. We are delighted with our furnishings as well as the good service and attention we received. Thank you!

Do not shop here. Horrible customer service and they clearly don’t want to stay in business. Furniture is great, design and quality are wonderful but you are better off shopping at their online store. Shopped in store to support local business, but they only abide to “corporate policy”. Purchased an expensive item in store and asked about free delivery, and was told that rarely happens. Purchased the item in store and a week later online offered same price on item with FREE shipping and delivery. Tried to talk to both designer and manager and was met with a very defensive and frankly rude attitude. Store would not retroactively honor this. Truthfully, having been in customer service industry, a refund of a 200 delivery charge would be a small price to pay for a happy customer. Will never even set foot in this store again. Do not shop in store and watch for online promotions instead.UPDATE: within 48 hours of posting a review, I was contacted by the Regional VP of customer service and the issue was immediately resolved. Thank your Ethan Allen corporate and regional for being so responsive. In addition, issue will be discussed as a teaching moment in store.

We have never experienced such amazing customer service. We are currently working with Chris Loveland from the Ann Arbor Store. He has been extremely helpful and patient with our indecisiveness. Everything from the order selection process to delivery was seamless. Chris was at our home when the furniture arrived and brought accessories to put the finishing touches on the room. The transformation is amazing. We would recommend Chris and Ethan Allen to anyone!!Also, kudos to Renee, the store manager, for being so friendly and welcoming.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Chris Loveland, an interior designer from the Ethan Allen store in Ann Arbor. Chris visited my home and responded with drawings, ideas, and fabrics within a couple of days of my stopping by the store. What a great experience! Chris has an amazing ability to pick up on a customers style/likes/needs and I was astonished how quickly he made it all happen. His customer service skills are outstanding. Recently we moved from our home that we had lived in for 38 years. The move proved to be arduous and also emotional. Looking for a decorator, we met Renee Aurand at Ethan Allen. She is very professional and a talented interior designer. With her expertise she made the transition from old to new easier. Now we live in our new home beautifully decorated by Renee. I absolutely loved the entire experience! Reading a previous review, i had hoped to see Drew Weigandt. I was surprised when he came out to meet me when I first went into the store on Eisenhower! It was meant to be! Drew was very professional, courteous and patient! He came home as promised. Did the measurements, took pictures and within a week Drew had a plan and design for our living room. We loved the pieces of furniture he chose and the fabric. He knew exactly what we would like! Am certain we will love the furniture when it arrives in a few weeks. Over the past year, I have purchased various items at Ethan Allen in Ann Arbor. Kerry Rodriguez was the design consultant who assisted me. She was extremely professional and helpful. She came out to my home several times. She followed through quickly and responded when I had any concerns. One pillow arrived with a defect and she ordered me a replacement right way. I was very pleased with the service and would recommend Ethan Allen highly.

Had such a nice experience working with designer Jessica Rabban to help me make some needed updates in my living room. Gave her lots of things parameters to work within and she considered all and offered great selections. Appreciated she was available and could work quickly to pull things together for me!

Jessica has been a pleasure to work with and help us with a wholedesign concept and furniture purchases for our new condo. She has great ideas, is knowledgable of products and tech savvy. It was so helpful to seeher presentation in a 3D model. She was was always prepared for our meetings, is professional and friendly.

My design consultant, Betty, was WONDERFUL to work with through a multi room project. Even 5 years later, we still keep in touch and she offers me some wisdom and great ideas to help put some finishing touches. She is a very talented decorator and has a wonderful eye for seeing how a project will turn out and how nicely everything will go together. She listened to my ideas, but as I am no expert, she lovingly helped to guide me into creating a beautifully decorated, warm and inviting home. My favorite line I always tell folks, was that after I agreed to one of her suggestions and saw the finished outcome, I exclaimed, Betty was right! I know that without Bettys infectious joy and caring about my needs, I would not have done such a big project! It was all worth it many times over.I have received so many compliments even 5 years later: Just last week a new neighbor visited my house and was very complimentary. It just goes to show that EAs products remain looking fresh and not look quickly dated so you wont have to redecorate so often!

I have alway liked interior design. I have also purchased some wonderful furniture from Ethan Allen in the past, though I have never worked with a designer before.Their furniture is of excellent quality and looks good for a very long time even after years of use.I worked with Chris Loveland at the Ann Arbor store and found the entire experience to be great fun. Chris is very relaxed and easy to work with, and he also has lots of patience. When he presented his ideas to my husband and I, we were amazed how much he knew what we would like before we did.I would definitely get his help again. I wish I had been confident enough to do this years ago.

We received an in-house no obligation design consultation. We received complimentary computer generated design layout with recommendations and options. Once we decided to purchase with Ethan Allen, our designer went above and beyond consulting on paint colors, window treatments and even our adjacent kitchen backsplash. After our furniture arrived, our designer came back to our house to hang our pictures, place artwork completing the entire space. Its stunning and far better than we ever could have done ourselves. They also have great recommendations on contractors such as painting, window treatments and re-upholstering. We shopped around before deciding on Ethan Allen and no other furniture store could match the customer service and expert design help. We are thrilled with the results and look forward to working with them on our next project.

I am so glad I had the experience to discover Ethan Allen and most of all to work with the designer, Betty Swenson. We had the good fortune of meeting Betty during an architectural home and design tour in Ann Arbor. We were so impressed with what she had done in a stunning home on the tour that we followed up to connect with her. One of the great things about working with Ethan Allen is that you get free design consultation as well as fine furniture. Betty spent no fewer than 8 hours with us at our home and at her office sharing and letting us explore fabrics, styles, and combining colors and patterns and eventually finding the right fit for our home and our tastes. Originally we had been looking at places like Room and Board or Crate and Barrel or IKEA. Some were just too far away or the quality was poor. In the end Ethan Allen was actually much nicer and less expensive than some of the items we had found in Chicago and other places.I had dismissed Ethan Allen as old-fashioned and I was wrong! :) We love our new and sturdy furniture that feels substantial and beautiful.

Recently, I had the most incredible and amazing design experience while working with Drew Weigandt at the Ethan Allen Ann Arbor store. He went above and beyond my highest expectations! Not only does he have a great eye for design, he followed through with practical help. He actually showed up for my in-home delivery and assisted in placing EVERYTHING! Miraculously, it all worked perfectly, too. The very best part was when he he stuck around and hung all of my new artwork and rearranged every area to perfection. The results were unbelievable. My home isn’t special, but he made it spectacular! Kudos to EA for employing such a talented, competent designer. He made up for every bad sales related experience I’ve ever had and exceeded all of my wildest dreams. Merci beaucoup to Drew!

Furniture is very middle grade. Weve bought quite a bit of it through the years. One reason we kept going back was service. But good service is apparently a thing of the past. We recently bought a floor sample chair. it was in virtually perfect condition--it had one very small spot--which was noted on the sales receipt. The skirt, though, was ruined during delivery. Rather than replace the chair, EA tried, unsuccessfully, to repair it THREE times. That is, three Saturday morning repair calls. We finally said Enough! We want a replacement. After another visit to the house from the store manager, their solution was to replace it with another damaged chair. Period. We never would have paid as much as we did for a chair in this condition. I felt like we were very patient--the whole process took six months. I suppose our mistake was giving them multiple chances to repair it. They ruined our chair and should have found a way to make it right. We expected compensation or a replacement chair in at least as good condition as the one we bought. Lesson learned. And a big warning to anyone else who considers doing business with them.
