The process of renting here was seamless. I did everything online. If I had any questions or concerns, they were able to assist and in a timely manner. I also liked that I didn’t have to be concerned with providing a lock. There is one located on the inside of the unit. I did have to adjust to a bigger unit but I was able to do that the following day. Kudos.

I had a good experience at this public storage and highly recommend it. The location itself is fine, easy to find and navigate, which saved me from rating my experience with them as 1 star, but Public Storage corporate business practices are really disappointing.In the contract they have you sign, it says that they can raise the rent at any time with 30 days written notice to you. Thats fine and pretty standard. Right after 6 months of renting with them, my rent increased from $317 to $387 (22% increase). I spoke with them to ask why and they said that after 6 months, customers are subject to a rental increase. This sounds like a policy they practice, so if they know that they will be increasing your rent after 6 months per corporate policy, they should tell you up front. I planned my familys budget taking into account the $317 monthly rent I would need to pay for storage. If they KNEW they would increase the rent automatically in 6 months, they shouldve told me when I was starting my rental that this would be the case so that I could plan accordingly.This isnt technically illegal or against what is in our contract, but really its a dishonest business practice. If you know for a fact that you will be increasing the price your customers will be paying after their first 6 months, you should tell them up front. Kind of feels like they wait until they know youll be a long-term renter and once they categorize you as a long-term renter, theyll automatically increase your rent since they know how much cost, time, and effort it would take you to find a new storage place, move out of your current storage unit, and move into a new one.In the end, I have to keep renting with them and paying the increased rent since I am temporarily away from Alexandria, so even if I wanted to go through the trouble of finding a new storage place and moving all my stuff, I couldnt since Id need to fly back to the area to do so.Overall, just disappointed with Public Storage corporate business policy & practices.

My wife and I have used this facility for several years. It is extremely convenient for us but we appreciate the safety and cleanliness of the building as our primary considerations. The staff are wonderful and the overall experience of working with them has been excellent. They deserve our highest recommendation.

I can’t recommend this location enough, and I haven’t even used this facility that long. Moving/deploying is generally stressful, even for military folks that have done it a number of times. Dave was hands down the best person to correspond with to secure the right unit. When I needed to transfer to a bigger spot, he found every best deal he could and more. The customer service is outstanding, location is secure, and the entire process from the get-go was way easier than I anticipated — and I can’t say enough good things for how smooth the process has been (so stress-free and that is a lot coming from the military!). Definitely 10 stars out of 5, would recommend to anyone that is looking for a storage unit in the area (or even out of the area! Worth it!).

A month before my move-in date I reserved a climate controlled storage unit at this location. They sent an email to me the day before I was supposed to move in reaffirming my reservation. When I arrived the next day they said the storage unit was taken and only a non-climate controlled unit with the same dimensions was available. This is unacceptable.

I visited this location today to rent a storage unit. The representative David was very professional & informative. I would recommend this place over & over due to the amazing customer service.

As Ive only just recently begin using this Public Storage facility (approximately 2 months now), I must admit that already I am amazed by the experiences Ive had thus far, not only with the helpful services here, but also with the selections of boxes and other items necessary for my contents. As a reseller, I am in constant need of storage boxes and entry accessibility, a safe and well lit clean environment, and a staff that is attentive and courtesy to my needs. This is where Sasha (shes the manager) and David come in. Firstly, Sasha is usually the one here most of all (can you believe that?) and insists on running a very top-notch operation and sees to it that it remains fully functional - and clean (can you tell I have a thing for clean? lol) Anyway, shes also a joy to speak with and a good listener. Secondly, David is probably one of the best DIYers on the job! Ive seen him personally attend to matters that he could have easily passed on to others or made some lame excuse for not doing anything, yet, he pitches right in to solve whatever he can. Literally this very morning, he took it upon himself to fix a door that was a bit problematic when using. Where can we often find such initiative as that? In closing, I just want to say that I couldnt be more pleased with my decision to store my stuff here and am delightful and thankful to have such nice people here working. Sorely in this day and age, can one find this type of help and cooperation. Thankfully, at least here you can. So Thanks again guys and keep up the good work!!

I have rented storage units at many locations over the past 20 years and I can honestly say that Sasha is by far the most professional location manager Ive done business with. After I expressed interest in the Alexandria location, Sasha contacted me over the phone to ensure that she would be in the office when I visited to view the rental unit. Once there, Sasha greeted me and worked with me to get everything set up. Sasha answered all of my questions, was patient with me, and assisted me to the very end of the transaction. She was literally standing next to me when I entered the facility code for the first time in case I needed her help. Also, the appearance of the property definitely reflected Sashas managerial expertise. The location was neat and clean which was a deciding factor in my decision to rent a unit from this location. The staff at Public Storage off Holland Lane are by far the best of the best! The front desk reached out to us to make sure we got a unit before March 1, and for that, we are forever grateful! I came into the store inquiring about storage options for my upcoming move. The customer service was excellent. The representative seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with ease. I must admit, I was a little hesitant from the horror stories that I had heard about storage places, but now I am actually relieved. I will be using Public Storage for my storage needs.

Public Storage is great! They were open and available on a Sunday and able to take a walk in appointment for a storage unit. The property is nice and clean, and Sams customer service was excellent! It is also very secure. Were very happy with our decision to rent a storage unit here.

She is very professional, informative, and customer-oriented. Hurricane Irma in Florida caused me to arrive at this location ahead of schedule and unannounced, and Sasha could not have been more responsive, helpful, professional, and courteous in setting me up with a storage unit. She is an absolutely superb representative of the Public Storage brand. Kudos also to Brittany, who worked with me to set up the details of the check-in appointment. After my initial call, Brittany followed up with multiple phone calls in the span of a few days to ensure continuity of planning for my move-in. A fantastic experience overall so far with Public Storage, thanks to Sasha and Brittany!

Wonderful customer service (Sasha is terrific) and the location is convenient BUT if you need a dolly to move things in and out of storage, this is definitely NOT the right facility for you. There is only 1 dolly and it never seems to be available. Ive relied on storage facilities for several years and my perception is that if you need storage and pay to rent a unit, the facility should provide a reasonable number of dollies to facilitate the movement of boxes, furniture, etc. It goes with the territory in my opinion. That said, I cant imagine why management would think that 1 dolly was acceptable for this or any location.

Because of inclement weather, she offered flexible scheduling. Upon my arrival, Sasha explained clearly all aspects of rental options and conducted tour of facility. Facility is well-kept, lighted and easily accessible. The new unit lock system makes better sense than old padlock use. Recommend this facility highly! Thanks, Public Storage!

This is not your average storage facility. Its VERY clean and secure. I wish there was more parking, but its easy in-and-out on weekdays. I love the kind of locks that stick to your key on your keyring so that you can put it all in your pocket while accessing your space.The staff is very friendly and committed to keeping the place nice.

On Saturday February 21, I rented a 10x15 storage space at this facility and the person in charge was Ramsey. She was extremely helpful and courteous. it was a difficult day because it was snowing and she was by herself and many customers came at the same time. It was amazing to see her how efficient she was in dealing with many of us at the same time. Besides, she helped me a lot in choosing the right size space and gave me a better price than the 10x10 that I had initially chosen. Ramsey is excellent at what she does. I highly recommend to go to the Holland Lane facility. You will not regret it

I just stopped in to Public Storage like 10 minutes before closing, because I need a couple of manila envelopes and saw their stacks of packing tape through the window. Ramsey & Clinton told me they didnt sell them, but they very kindly GAVE me several envelopes. Definitely above and beyond! Super friendly and helpful folks - I will definitely think of them first next time I need a storage facility, or packing materials.

They cancelled our reservation last minute (we found out when we got there) and werent being helpful in resolving the issue.

Clean, safe facility. Sasha gave clear and simple instructions over the phone and in person. Both employees I encountered seem to take pride in their jobs. Receiving a tour, usage of onsite equipment and tips navigating around the facility was appreciated.
